Normally we eat here every trip back to the QC area because my Dad eats here a lot. It's not healthy food- but it's all made from scratch and they have some great menu items. This trip it was definitely off and the dining room wasn't clean. Food on the floor and the booth was sticky. The food was just okay.. Pretty below par though for Harlan's. Maybe it was an off day as it was memorial weekend.

I grew up eating at Harlan's with my parents and grandparents. The food is still the good food I remember (lunch and dinner), and if you get waited on by the waitresses that have been here forever the service is great... However under the new ownership the atmosphere is way too lax and a lot of the newer younger staff are down right rude and disrespectful which makes it difficult to dine here sometimes....

This is an old-school blue-hair diner. You'll go here at 9:00 on a Tuesday and if you're a day under 60, you'll be the youngest in the room. The food is nothing to write home about, but they have specials for $2.50 for a meal (!). That's right. I've only been for breakfast, and recommend the biscuits and gravy.

Harlan's has THE BEST fried chicken you will EVER eat! I am not fond of most of their other entrees or deserts for that matter but ooohhh mmmm GGGG you gotta get some of that chicken!

Awful. Sad to see what has become of a once solid and tasty dining spot of my youth. Gave the place a few final chances a year or so ago, it failed miserably. Did you know if you order an omelette on the weekend you'll get egg beaters not real eggs? You'll also always get pre cooked bacon product and coffee that tastes like the urns haven't been cleaned in years. Sad. I'm only giving it one star because I have to.

Had the BEST biscuits and gravy in the quad cities...and icing on the cake: it's served ALL DAY! Definitely coming back here!

Great food. Staff (many of which are high school and college students) are friendly, polite, and organized. It leans toward bringing in a the geriatric crowd who apparently recognize good food when they taste it. And reasonable prices as well.
