Ordered my birthday cake from them and they were prompt in responding to my email request. I showed them a picture of what I wanted and they made it happen. I could not be happier with the way the cake looked and tasted. Everyone at my party raved about how delicious the cake was! I recommend this place to all my family and friends.

Ordered a last minute birthday cake for my wonderful wifey. Normally they need 2-3 weeks notice but they were able to turn it around for me in 1 day! They were also very helpful with the customizing of the cake. I got to choose a different filling and frosting. Ordered a chocolate cake with mocha filling. It was great! Normally chocolate cakes are dry this one was moist and as many have said here previously the frosting is amazing. I would say that they are a bit heavy handed with the frosting (which I like but others may not). The only thing that keeps me from giving them five stars is the packaging, the cake wasn't packaged very well and when i got home it had started to "slide" apart (it was a four layer cake). Wish they had boxed it or chilled it better so that it held together better. Was surprised to hear that they make vegan cakes. Am looking forward to ordering one for my son who is allergic to dairy.

Six days before the birthday I called and placed an order for a robot cake. As a general rule cake is dry and boring with totally gross sugary shortening icing that grinds on your teeth and leaves a film in your mouth. Not the cake here. Moist and delicious! Everyone we worked with was awesome. We told them to be creative and to give us a robot cake a three year old would like and they delivered! Next time I need a cake I know where I'm heading.

On my jaunt to to get coffee this morning I stopped here to scope out the cupcake situation. I was told there were cupcakes and small cakes available in addition to the custom cake options. I arrived around 10:30 and there were still plenty of places to park. Sometimes when I'm going through the Starbucks drive thru, this parking lot is absolutely packed and jammed up with other fellow Starbucks enthusiasts. When I walked in there were two other women being helped. One was picking up a pretty impressive custom birthday cake. To my right was a cupcake menu on the wall. There is a cooler with a plethora of cake balls and cookies... But no cupcakes. There was a large cooler to my left that had one cake in it. I was starting to feel a little confused because I wasn't sure if the cupcakes are readily available or if I was supposed to pre order them. I think it was the owner who helped me, a very kind, welcoming lady. She quelled my concerns and said the cupcakes are readily available in the back. I ordered two cupcakes- one lemon with buttercream frosting and one gluten free triple chocolate for $5.50. I don't need or eat gluten free food usually but she was out of the normal chocolate and said it was really good. A customer checking out validated that also. I love all things lemon and Cache's cupcake didn't disappoint. Very lemony! The frosting was different, I can't say how but it is. My husband smashed on the triple chocolate and was very please. "This is awesome!" Is what he said. I didn't tell him it was gluten free :) I'm interested to try some of the other flavors: Almond, Cookies and Cream, Raspberry. The shop wasn't what I expected. I've been to Scratch before and it's a very inviting with a yummy display of cupcakes, like how I would imagine a cake shop. Granted, scratch is a sit down establishment. When you walk in its a rather small space with stuff everywhere, stuff that I would expect to be in the back. For a newb it's a little confusing. All shop stuff aside, the cupcakes are yummy and the service left me with a great impression.

We selected Cache' for our wedding cake in July 2014, opting for both a traditional 3-tier cake, as well as individual cupcakes for each of our guests to take with them. Everything was wonderful! Cache' has THE BEST buttercream frosting you will find anywhere. Our guests still talk about the cake and occasionally ask us if we can arrange for Cache' to ship them a few dozen cupcakes just because they were so delicious! In addition to the quality of the products, the customer service is outstanding. They personalize the service and ensure that you feel as though your event is the only one on their books.

We used Cache for our wedding in September 2014 and were not disappointed. In fact I was almost jealous. Instead of everyone telling us how beautiful the bride/wedding was, they first commented on how delicious the cupcakes were! To say they were delicious would be a huge understatement. I will use them for any event I ever have again.

I don't write many reviews, but the quality of the products and service at Cache is amazing! Everything is wonderful and my favorites are the frosted sugar cookies (best frosting I've ever had) and Key Lime cake balls. The birthday cakes are also great. The reason I decided to write this review is to commend the owner on her customer service. We ordered a birthday cake and when we picked it up, the colors were not what we thought were agreed upon and the birthday party was the next morning. We spoke to the owner and she made it right without hesitation. We are now loyal customers.

Our Wedding Cake was absolutely perfect! It was delicious, moist, and beautiful! Cache did such a wonderful job with everything from tasting to communication to execution! We are so pleased with how everything turned out!

Love Cache! Their cakes and cakeballs are a hit with our family. They generally have a great selection of favors if you just walkin. We've ordered a cake for a special occasion but also like to stop on a whim for a sweet treat, often times after or before going to Starbucks ;) btw if you are looking for this place the address on Yelp is wrong.

I usually pick up cupcakes or cake pops for department treats. However, to celebrate my husband's milestone birthday, I thought only a homemade cake would do. Of course, as the big day approached, I quickly decided it was probably best to leave the cooking to the professionals. I called the day before the event and ordered a chocolate layer cake (his favorite). BTW, you can pay over the phone. The cake was well packaged to protect it and even the cake coaster was decorated with ribbon. A classy touch! The cake itself was moist and decadently frosted with the richest chocolate icing....delicious! DH took leftovers to the office and now his coworkers want to know WHERE did we get this cake? Ha! If you need a cake for any occasion, I highly recommend The Cachè Shoppe...You won't be disappointed.

I ordered a cake for my husband's 40th birthday party from Cache. Naomi was great to work with and provided a lot of suggestions after I showed her pictures of the Doc Marten boot I wanted her to replicate... in cake. They did an amazing job and the cake was one of the best I'd ever had. We had so many compliments on the cake at the party. Everyone raved about how great the cake both looked and tasted.

WOW!! I found Cache on a whim internet search while visiting my grandparents & craving something sweet. Little did I know I would find a new "must have" every time I visit! With a family full of celiac disease & gluten allergies, a good cupcake is hard to find, but these cupcakes weren't just good. They were FABULOUS!!!!!! I walked in & grabbed a gluten-free chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting. Best cupcake I've ever tasted!! Other family members had GF chocolate with cream cheese, pink champagne with cream cheese, vanilla with vanilla. Every one of us agrees that these cupcakes -- GF or regular -- are exceptional!! I fell in love after one bite. You should give it a try! It's a love affair worth having!!

I went here last Saturday for a cake tasting/wedding consultation. I can not even believe there is not a review for it yet. It was honestly one of the best cakes I've ever tasted in my cake-loving life. I met with Naomi, a simply charming lady. She was very calm and explained everything very well. Her prices were excellent, her buttercream divine and her cake was moist but light at the same time. I tried the chocolate, vanilla and red velvet. We wanted more flavors, so she sent us home with a box of raspberry and almond cake balls. I am not really a fan of cake balls, but the flavor was so good. Very natural tasting, especially the raspberry, it had seeds in it. Yummo! Naomi did a little sketch while we were talking, with the cake breakdown, and the cost estimate on there. She scanned this sketch and emailed it to me, which was really nice. The only odd, or should I say, unexpected things were these; When you walk in to the bakery (it's in a strip mall) you're not hit with that yummy bakery smell. I can only assume the smell was the nail salon that the bakery is butted up against in the strip mall. The other thing was that when we got there for the consultation she had us go back outside and meet her at Starbucks for the tasting. Don't get me wrong, the smell of coffee was very conducive to tasting cake, I just found it odd. The bakery is so small that I imagine that she just doesn't have room to sit people down. Both of these problems are not a deal breaker, whatsoever! They had a lot of cute desserts in the case and she was very reasonably priced. If you're in the Clive area (right off Hickman- across from Living History Farms) I would definately recommend having a nosh here!
