Two trips in four days... I'm hooked! The chicken shawarma & beef shawarma are both excellent and my wife swears that the eggplant sandwich is the best that she's ever had. The fresh Pita bread is heavenly. The only negative comment I can make is that the place is over twenty miles away from my house.

Good not great. I can see what they are attempting to do here .. High end Greek food. Buy I felt that it fell a little flat in the flavor department. Although I appreciate the fresh ingredients. I will come a second time.

Great food. Authentic Mediterranean fiesta. Love this place and would visit every week if possible. The hummus and Pita is amazing and a must try by every food lover. Try the Falafel, shawarma and Tawook and you will never eat it anywhere else. I appreciate the hospitality and courtesy of this family owned restaurant and would highly recommend if you in mood for some Mediterranean delight.

Food was very good and plentiful. I especially liked the falafels. The owners are friendly and attentive. Try this restaurant!

Great service, great food, very nice experience. The best Mediterranean I have had in the last decade! We are vegetarians and the food was awesome for adults and kids alike. Very nice experience- the restaurant is family owned and operated and they went above and beyond to ensure a great experience. We will be back frequently.

Love this place!! Good people great food!! Nice ambiance too! Had the chicken shawarma plate and it was delicious!! It's a little pricey but worth it!

First time here. The restaurant is very nicely decorared and clean. I ordered the schnitzel on pita, which was pretty good and bigger than I expected. My boyfriend got the beef kabob plate. We were expecting actual cut of beefs for the kabob but they were more like balls of ground beef. Overall everything tasted fine but the plates are a bit pricey for what you get. Would only come here for the sandwiches.

This place is a gem. The food is so amazing. The prices are so reasonable. Everything tastes so fresh. I can't pick a favorite because everything I had was truly good. Their customer service is great, super friendly people here. You cannot go wrong with this place. It is our weekly spot now. Wish I knew about it sooner.

The hummus is so amazing here. I liked the lentil soup but it wasn't amazing like the hummus- I highly recommend a visit.

Been here a couple times now, I absolutely loved the Chicken Shawarma! Also of interest is their falafel, which has a unique crunchiness to it.

The food here is amazing and the serving sizes are huge! Beautiful décor and welcoming environment in the restaurant as well! Great deal, GREAT food! I only wish it was closer to my home or office so I could eat there more often!!

This Lebanese place, where you order at the counter, is deep in the outskirts of Duluth, far from where I live in Atlanta, in a multicultural minimall. But it has some excellent reviews and lives up to them. The falafel sandwich wrapped in fluffy Lafeh bread is a perfect falafel with pickles, cabbage, crunchy delicious falafel and tahina sauce. You must order that! The fattoush, sort of the Lebanese version of a Caesar salad, with Romaine lettuce, pita chips, onions, cucumbers, parsley and some ubiquitous spice, which may be paprika or something similar, is a very nice complement to a falafel. The hummus was also excellent, a large portion for two or more people that comes with Lafeh bread. As a vegetarian, it's really the quality of the bread and falafel that make this unassuming place fantastically worthy.

Just got back from having dinner here and all I can say is the service was absolutely terrible. We ordered four plates, two of which came in a reasonable amount of time. The other two took a bit longer, which would not have been a problem, but the server was not paying attention to the order and gave one of our plates to another table that had the same order, but arrived much later than us. He apologized and said there would be another one made. We waited, and went up to the counter to ask if it was being made. They said they were working on it, and it would be out shortly. So we waited, and waited, and again approached the counter asking for our food. They said it was coming out now. We waited yet again and it didn't come out. We noticed some plates sitting on the counter for 5-10 minutes, so finally I decided to go up there myself. I noticed the order was mine and just took it. By the time I started eating it was cold, and just flat out not good(it was beef kabobs). At this point I was annoyed and just wanted my money back. And fortunately they returned all my money for the ENTIRE meal, which I appreciated. As far as the food, it was good, but the portion of meat on the platter is too small for the price you're paying. The service though ruined the good flavor of the food, it was just flat out unacceptable. I was very unhappy.

I had the chicken Tawook on pita with a side salad. It was very good. The chicken had great flavor and was cooked perfectly, not dry. The side salad was very good too. This was my first time here. I will go back.

Delicious! My husband and I both had a grilled chicken plate called Tawook with rice or lentils and a side salad, with bread and garlic spread. It was amazing! The lentils are very good. The salad was fresh and good. We will definitely come back!

I had the chicken shawarma and it was amazing. The humus had way to much tahini. I would definitely go back.

Cafe Raik was recommended to me by a few classmates, so I finally decided to try it. The decor was modern/chic and the cafe was very clean. The order came out in a reasonable amount of time and the staff was extremely warm and friendly. I ordered the Chicken Tawook on an arabic wrap and it was amazing! The chicken was tender and flavorful, the bread seemed very fresh with a perfect soft/chewy texture. Compared to other similar establishments Cafe Raik definitely tops the list. I haven't tried their desserts, but I'm looking forward to doing so in the future. I've been back twice and I will certainly be a regular customer. I look forward to seeing this cafe grow into a well-loved permanent establishment in the area.

I went with my son for lunch, tried lentil soup and falafel sandwich and both were excellent. My son said fries were awesome too. :) I have a feeling this is about to become my favorite place if they maintain quality. It's a very neat and clean place with excellent service.

Very nice food. Large portions. Tableau Salad was very good. After a while had a nice Mediterranean food in Atlanta. Lot of choices for vegetarian. Great

Ordered the Shwarma in a tortilla wrap, and it was worth every star. This place is the perfect addition to the area. The customer service is the cherry on top. I would recommed this place to anybody in the area.

  • Daniel T.

Perfect in every way. The food is always amazing. Great atmosphere, very deceiving from the outside. One of my favorite places in the burbs. They are friendly, I don't feel ostracized ordering food I cannot pronounce. I am currently eating my way through the entire menu. Something easier said than done since the portions are very filling make it an awesome deal for dinner or a quick lunch!! Give it a try and you will be in love!!

Food was good after a one and a half hour wait and when our group finally got the right ordered dishes. We were the last people in the restaurant and it was close to closing when we got our dishes!! The owner was kind enough to ask me why my experience was not good and to invite me back. I appreciate that they value their customers feedback.

Nice, comfortable & modern interior. Clean dining area and restrooms. Friendly and attentive staff. Personable owner who is conscious of his clientèle. Food order took a little bit more time than I expected but there was a large order ahead of me. The price of items initially gave me sticker-shock but the portion size made up for that. Everything tasted fresh and had appealing texture. The chicken "schawafel" could have fed two. I appreciated the combination of chicken schwarma & falafel in the wrap. This is definitely a nice healthier option for lunch. I will be back.

Found this place through scoutmob. I honestly wouldn't of even tried this place if it wasn't for scoutmob. Their food really isn't even that expensive. Most of it is under 10 dollars. A few of the plates go over that, but really a sandwich will fill you up. We ordered the schawaffel and chicken taloof. The schawaffel is worth it if you like the taste of falafel so, but also want the added protein from beef or chicken. I opted for beef and really liked it. I'd gladly come back and order it again. The combo puts ito very the 10 dollar mark, but really the sand which itself is pretty large. We also order the taloof which is marinated chicken. The chicken was good, although there were some small bones. It didn't take much away from it though. Definitely come here and try something. You'll see how good it is.

Wow! Loved it! A friend dragged me here on a whim after she learned about it from one of the owners. I am SO glad that she did. I've found a few good Israeli/Lebanese/Mediterranean joints around Atlanta and this is one that I'll make the trek out to enjoy again. I had the falafel plate and the portion was huge! The falafels are small, crunchy, and super tasty. Not full of parsley, like I'm used to, but that's ok. The side salad was so delicious! Nicely chopped with a lemony dressing and sprinkled with sumac spice. Wow. I'm craving it again as I type this. I tried mjadara for the first time and loved it. It's rice and lentils topped with cabbage, onions, and a delicious yogurt sauce. The tahini dipping sauce for the falafel was so delicious and thin. I dislike thick tahini, so I was happy. I can't wait to go back and try more items off the menu!

Super place to grab a healthy lunch! The restaurant is standard but brightly colored and very clean! The people who work there know their stuff and eagerly explain all the delicious things on the menu. I had the Salad with chicken shawarma and the portion that arrived at my table was enormous! It took me 30 minutes of high effort forking to finish the plate of freshly chopped cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, parsley, and mint! The olive oil and lemon juice dressing topped with Arabic cheese put just the right amount of zing to the entire dish! It's a perfect place to stop and eat lunch and fill up!

Cafe Raik!!! It is a modern looking, clean, Mediterranean restaurant. I found it on Scoutmob and decided to check it out. I ordered the chicken shawarma, which was made from rotisserie chicken. I got it in a pita, which was delicious! My husband and I were tempted to buy a bag of their pita breads for sale to take home too! The chicken shawarma was a 5/5 for me - tons of flavor, saucy, juicy, goodness! The sandwich is HUGE!!! My husband ordered the beef shawarma, which was good too, but not as good as the chicken in my opinion. The beef was more tough I think. The side order of fries was great too. I don't know what they put in the seasoning, but it was really bold and flavorful!! Definitely going back! Even without a scoutmob :)

Not to sound too harsh, but Cafe Raik to me is proof positive that one can use exceptionally fresh ingredients and still only be able to produce moderately flavored foods. The cafe appeared to be very clean, and the ingredients were very fresh. However, my chicken shawafel sandwich, a portmanteau of "shawarma" and "falafel", despite being filled with chicken shawarma, falafel, tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, onions, red cabbage, pickles, garlic spread, tahini sauce, and dill sauce was so unremarkable. I have no explanation for how this could be possible, and yet it was. The wife's beef shawarma sandwich had slightly more flavor. The pita was perfectly fluffy and pillowy soft and quite possibly the best pita I've ever had. The hummus, while creamy and smooth, was desperately lacking garlic. It is so easy for falafel to be overly-fried - Cafe Raik fried theirs perfectly. So, in a nutshell, there are highs and lows to be found here. Maybe the lows were a fluke? Check out their $15 for $20 Yelp deal, Yelp Check-In 10% off deal, and ScoutMob 50% off deal.

What a gem! On the day I visited, I did not have a lot of time and had to order take-out. I was so disappointed that I couldn't stay - the atmosphere of the restaurant was just lovely. I wanted to eat everything I saw the other diners enjoying. I ended up ordering a falafel pita and fries. It was incredible. Unfortunately, the photo does not do it justice, and I am sure the dining-in presentation would have been beautiful. Everything I saw in the restaurant was so beautifully dished. But the flavor was rich and perfect. I am eager to return, dine-in and explore more of this wonderful menu.

Came here for birthday lunch with friends. It's so cool to enjoy lunch but even better to see their eyes roll back in their head because the food is so good. The falafel is delicious and so is the shawarma. Can't decide, have both!

We walked in and there was a line. That's usually a good sign. It moved fast and allowed us to look into the kitchen which made deciding hard as everything looked good and smelled even better. We were greeted with a big smile and proceeded to order quickly. It was our first visit so we got 10% our order after checking in with Yelp. The food! Baba Ganoush: excellent, sweet and tart from the tahini and eggplants but zero bitterness. Nicely dressed with olive oil and lemon juice. Served with plenty of chewy and wonderful pita. My coworker had a Greek salad with chicken tawook. She could not stop raving about it. I had the chicken tawook sandwich and completely understand why she loved it so much. It was delicious, juicy and so well seasoned. Next time I'm in Duluth, I will return. You should do the same!

Cafe' Raik has been open for about six months. We finally decided to give them a try. Unless it is a gyro at the mall ;) I am not too well versed in Mediterranean cuisine. A true find! We had things for the first time like the Chicken Tawook. Great authentic flavors that explode in your mouth. The walnut Baklava is from Michigan and is wonderful. The Arabic coffee was over the top good, just wish it was a little hotter in temperature.

This seem to be the current trend - new restaurants opening in a neighborhood quietly, intentionally keeping the opening low key, without any fanfare for few weeks. And once settled and learn from the limited crowd, they market themselves to wider audience across the town. Cafe Raik has been open for couple of weeks but their grand opening is on 11/8/2014 and they have 10% off check-in offer in yelp. So I went there for lunch! The restaurant is located at the intersection of old Peachtree rd NW and satellite blvd intersection. On old Peachtree rd, If you are coming from 85 side, it will be on your left just before you hit the traffic light at satellite blvd. From opposite side, it will be on your right, immediately after you cross satellite blvd. (there is a subway in the same complex - if you are really lost) There was plenty of parking spots when I arrived early, but I can see it could get filled very quickly, especially during lunch time. when I entered, I was pleasantly surprised by bright colors and nice decor - reminded me of some frozen yogurt places! With regular tables and one large tall bar table, the seating space was neither big nor small. The menu is printed above the counter but there are more options in paper menu available at the counter. You basically, put in the order, pay for it and wait at a table for the food to be brought to you. No regular wait service here(at least not for lunch). Since I went there by myself, I ordered an appetizer and one a salad! 1) Baba Ganouj 2) Greek Salad with Chicken tawook Baba Ganouj - actually quiet big for the price and it comes with 4 pieces of pita bread. Unless you dig a lot per scoop, the bread is probably not going to be enough. But fortunately the Baba ganouj was flavorful and delicious. I added some hot sauce to mine and it was even better. Greek salad was good enough with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, olives, and feta with Greek dressing - you know, the usual stuff. You can choose a protein as add-on to the salad. Available protein are Chicken & Beef Shawarma, Chicken Tawook, and Schnitzel. I got mine with Chicken tawook and it was the star of dish. The chicken was grilled tender & juicy and the added mild spices made it delicious. That did it for me! But I am curious to try other proteins too in my next visit. (Chicken tawook : you can think of this as chicken kabob. You may have seen similar tastingt dish at other places under the name Shish tawook or Shish tavok. But at Café Raik, it's not Shish(Skewer) but just grilled. Also I find it curious that they have named it 'Chicken tawook' because 'tawook' or 'tavuk' pretty much means chicken as well. It would be calling a dish 'Chicken Chicken'. But what's in name, as long as it tastes good, right?) The service was good and the food comes out pretty quick. I had a quick chat with them and found out that it is indeed family owned and operated business. I was introduced to brother, sister, brother-in-law, father and mother!! And the restaurant is named after the toddler nephew of the owner!(No, he wasn't at the restaurant) :) Overall, I think it's a nice new spot for quick Mediterranean lunch and dinner. Four stars

Very nice surprise! I wasn't sure what to expect...gyro and fries? Hummus and pita? No gyros and fries here! They did serve a very nicely presented, large serving of hummus with a slightly different type of pita, which was a bit fluffy but very tasty! My husband and I usually share, so we ordered two sandwiches, chicken twook and beef shawarma. The beef sandwich was okay, but the chicken twook was delightful! It was served in a pita bread with exotic accompaniments. Delish! Then we tasted but the cashew and walnut baklava. Both were excellent! We paired dessert with Arabic coffee. The coffee taste was unlike any other coffee I've tasted, nice blend of spice which took out any bitterness. As my H pointed out, it might have been served hotter, but it was a great experience. The service was great and the food was nicely plated. All in all... Loved the place! I've been informed that they do have fries on the menu, I didn't see them...

  • Debby L.

FALAFEL SANDWICH they have the option of getting any of these on a plate instead of a sandwich....get the sandwich. It's the way it's supposed to be eaten and is super good. Falafel is hard to please, but this is one of the best falafel sandwiches I've ever had here in Atlanta. It's not as green but the taste and consistency is amazing. Hot, fluffy and juicy, I'll be coming back for this. MACARONI IN LABNE YUMMY. The kids loved it and so did I. Cold yogurt salad, perfect with the falafel or shawarma meat dish. CHICKEN SHAWARMA Very flavorful and delicious. Only thing is there wasn't very much chicken in the sandwich. If there is more chicken, it'd be awesome. TRIO PLATE Friends got the trio plate and I didn't get to try but from the clean plate at the end, I assume it was very good. Overall, it's a new place but I'm highly impressed and will definitely bookmark to recommend and come back to, especially for the falafel sandwich!

Juat Ok... Went because of the yelp review for top 50 in Atlanta. The server who took out order at the counter was super sweet and very informed about the different dishes. What I did not like at all was the screen order review order gives option to tip 10-15-20 % --- for what I'm standing at he counter ?! The meal was overshadowed by my slipping in front of the counter and I caught myself only to be told by the girl behind the counter "oh, it's ok everyone does that!"" REALLY?" I won't be back.

Came with my sisters and a friend, used the 50% off coupon on Scoutmob. We ordered chicken shawarma, beef shawarma, 12 piece falafel, and baba ganouj. Everything was DELICIOUS! The tahini sauce on everything was pretty tangy, which I liked, but be aware of that if you don't like tangy food. Great service, and the interior was spacious and clean. The normal prices were fair (great with the coupon), and I'd love to visit again!

I went to Cafe Raik for lunch a couple weeks ago with Pam A. The restaurant occupies a space that i think might be cursed. The last 2 restaurants were not great and they shut down very quickly. But I think Raik has a shot a breaking it! Cafe Raik is a Mediterranean restaurant located in Suwanee. The restaurant interior looks nothing like the past two establishments. Raik's interior is modern and a bit chic for restaurant that mainly a lunch spot! Though the interior has a lot of seating, I recommend getting there a bit early to avoid the noon rush. The food at Raik is good. I got the "Pick Three plate" with the beef shawarma, Beef Kabob and chicken shawarma. I like the Beef Kabob the best out of the three. I do need to go back to try the Falafel. As far as sides goes mjadara (lentils) was a surprise. Sadly the fries were just ok. Now, for $15 what came out initially looked a bit disappointing. I was like "that's it". To my surprise it actually was a lot of food. Overall 4 stars for being good . There isn't anything wrong with the place it's just not a 5 star restaurant in my book

  • Christine R.

This is a small, family owned restaurant that does a brisk lunch business. The menu is rather small, and it's reminiscent of a fast food joint. That being said, the food was good, there were some interesting photographs on the wall. This is a place for a quick lunch on a work day, not a dinner date. Three stars because it is just kinda meh.

Bought the $15 for $20 deal on Yelp and ordered over the phone. Ordered the hummus which we weren't crazy about but that's all relative. It came with warm pita that tasted fresh and yummy. The chicken shawarma sandwich was so good and the three meat plate was also delicious. Their rice is so so tasty. Of course, I think it would taste even more phenomenal if the food didn't sit there for an hour and a half of traffic before being eaten. Loved it though! Will stop in again when in the area.

  • Maiya I.

Loved this place! Exceptional service, the food was great (and Halal!) & we got to use a special deal so it wasn't that expensive. The prices in general are low compared to the quality of food & service you receive. The set up & atmosphere was also really nice! Definitely will be back! Food highlights: the beef shawarma, chicken tawook, the mjadara (which I've never had before but loved!), & the creme brulee & coffee!

Love this place. The falafels are so good!!! I've also tried the chicken tawook and beef Schwarma but the falafel is by far my favorite.

  • Hiro T.

I did return to Cafe Raik, and this time when with the Shawarma wrap. Felt the shawarma was more tasty than the trip before, or it was because the meat was obviously more noticeable than in the Shawafel wrap. Again, the mujadara was good and the smoothie was good. The price here is just a little steep for what is served. I feel that I could maybe give this place 4 stars, but jus couldn't talk myself into it. I would recommend giving this place a try though, not a bad choice if you're looking for shawarma in the area.

I used to brag about other places and their Shwarmas but Cafe Raik has them beat by a long shot! You HAVE TO try this place out. Friendly staff and great food!

I'm a meat and potatoes guy. I'll have a steak over a salad eight days a week. What's funny is that the first four or five times I've had Cafe Raik, I've only had their vegetarian options. My sister and brother-in- law don't eat meat on Wednesdays or Fridays and since I live with them, I've acclimated to their alien ways. Whatever they eat, I eat and whenever they eat a delicious eggplant sandwich from Cafe Raik, I eat a delicious eggplant sandwich from Cafe Raik. I really, really like Cafe Raik's vegetarian options. All of the vegetables are cooked very well. The eggplant in the eggplant sandwich is soft and garlicky and is complimented with tahini sauce, some light dill sauce, and an assortment of other vegetables all stuffed in delicious pita bread. Other vegetarian dishes/appetizers we enjoyed were the mixed veggie panini, the baba ganouj and the falafel. This place has some of the best falafel I've ever had! Ameer's off Briarcliff Road makes a mean falafel dish, but this place takes the cake. The outside is crisp and the inside has a nice, smooth texture that's flavored to perfection. Getting 6 for $3.95 is totally worth it. When I had the beef shawarma for the first time last week, tears rolled down my eyes because: (1) I was so happy; and (2) because I felt like a man that was deprived of bacon, candy, and Cheetos his whole childhood. I can't wait to try the other shawarma dishes. The beef shawafel is good too, but the falafel to meat ratio was a bit off. Make sure to get the combo with your sandwich because the fries are amazing too! Another thing that stood out was the cleanliness and service. Cafe Raik doesn't have traditional table service; you order at the register and they bring the food out to you. However, the manager made sure to check up on us and see how we were doing. He politely asked for feedback, and gave the tables next to us a second swipe five minutes after the bus girl had already done it. The food is definitely solid and is enough to give a four-star rating, but the extra effort in customer service and cleanliness is what bumps this place up to five. Good job, Cafe Raik! I will be back often :)

My favorite place to get Mediterranean food! The food is great and priced affordably. It is also plated well especially for a place where there are no waiters (but they will bring the food out to you!). The falafel sandwich is wonderful--not too greasy and not overcooked just right and their tzaziki sauce is great. I also love their lemonade (which they make in kind of a shake for you). I have had many other dishes including the beef shawarma which was a little salty for my taste, but I personally don't like too much salt in my food. The place is clean and cool and has a modern look. Definitely stop by and support this family run business.

A great spot for lunch if you are in the Suwanee/Lawrenceville area and want something different rather than the inordinate amount of chain restaurants in the area. The place is spotless and really well kept. The food: Everything here is tasty and worth a try. My go to is the beef shwarma with a side of the mujadara (lentils). The humus appetizer is really good as well and so is the falafel. In the end: Definitely recommend trying this if you want to try something new for lunch and/or dinner.

My friend and I strategically stopped through on our way back from Pensacola to Raleigh with the intent of being North of downtown Atlanta before rush hour. It was an excellent choice. I was surprised at first that you order at the counter because the yelp review photos made it seem fairly fancy. Nevertheless, by the time we arrived our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. We ordered a sampler appetizer with the fried eggplant, baba ghannouj and hummus. The two eggplant based choices were excellent. The hummus was good but not a standout. The pita was fluffier than I am accustomed but absolutely delightful. I then had a cup of lentil soup. It was along the same lines as the hummus: good but not a standout. For entrees we each had the shawafel, a cute word for the shawarma and falafel mix. We made it a combo and each got a side and a fountain drink. The sandwiches were delectable and both the fries and mjadara were winners. The only sad part was not having enough room in our stomachs to eat it all! I understand why it was recently voted #14 among metro ATL eateries.

I have eaten here several times and have also had just about EVERYTHING on the menu. The quality of the food is the reason why I go, also the atmosphere is very clean as well. If you're in the mood for some great Mediterranean food this is the place to be. They are even on Scoutmob now if you want an even better deal. Give them a shot and you will be glad you did.

Came in for a quick meetup with friends for lunch. Adorable, clean, and modern decor. Menu had a good selection of sandwiches, panini, and salads. Moderately priced. Ordered the Schawafel (chicken schwarma and falafel sandwich in a pita) ~$9.00. Big helping was served. Friendly and quick service. Would definitely recommend.

The food here is so delicious!!!!! So appetizing and great change of food scene if you're over sports bars and Italian restaurants. In a very convenient location in suwanee and the inside is kept extremely clean and neat. The paintings are fun to look at as well. Definitely try a little bit of everything on the menu. The business is family owned and the staff are super kind. Definitely a must go

I went for a Greek Salad, and the place looks great! Very modern design - employee cleaning tables, and great customer service. I was able to use the 10% coupon from yelp and it made my salad and drink just under $9. The salad was crispy and the veggies were fresh. I got plenty of olives and feta, however was disappointed that the dressing was a little generic. It didn't seem to have an authentic Greek flavor. I would go back, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Came here for lunch. The restaurant is very clean and well decorated. The service was great. Very sweet young lady behind the counter and very nice gentlemen running food out and cleaning tables. The food was amazing. I had the shawafel (falafel and chicken shawarma mix) pita, with the baba ganouj appetizer. Both were great but my pita was to die for. My gifriend got the chicken shawarma in an Arabic wrap with mjadara lentils on the side and I ended up eating off of her plate too! Great experience. Highly recommended :)

Delicious shawarma. I tried the chicken and the beef and I liked them both but the beef was amazing. The rice was also very good.

The food is just so good. I had the chicken tawook plate with fries and a salad. The seasoning on the chicken was money. Rich and flavorful but not spicy or overpowering. Exactly what you want when you're craving Mediterranean food. The fact that the restaurant is clean and tastefully designed was just icing on the cake.

GREAT GATSBY that was some good food! Our company had an event catered by Cafe Raik and the food was superb. I got to sample most of their menu and everything was really great. Fresh, tasty ingredients and plenty to go around. Loved it so much that I had to go the restaurant... This time, I had the falafel and hummus.. Both were delicious. The restaurant decor was modern and the interior was spotless, the service was great too -- all at an affordable price. Best mediterranean food I've had in the greater Atlanta area by a long shot. Can't wait to go back!

I went there first time last night after finding it on ScoutMob. Good location. Inside is clean. I tried the hummus for appetizer ($5). It comes with pita bread. Great stuff. Also tried beef shwarma plate with sides of fries and mjdara (about $15). Also tried beef kabob plate with sides of rice and salad (about $15). The salad is super flavorful- love the crunchy chips they put on it and the dressing is great. The beef kabob with rice is so good. Rice is buttery and complements the kabobs. Not dry kabobs at all. Beef shwarma is good too- really good when you mix with mjdara and white sauce :) I will be back. Altogether food bill was around $30.

I'll be back here, I love this place. I found this place on Scoutmob and I cannot get enough of it. I love their pita, and the portions aren't stingy. I'd recommend this spot to anyone on a lunch break or a casual spot for dinner.

Cafe Raik has to be one of the best restaurants in Atlanta! They has a short menu of maybe 20 choices, but this is where you have quality over quantity. Not to say the portion sizes are small, because they are not. I was referred by a friend a few weeks ago and today I was finally in the area so I stopped by. I had a Chicken Tawook, Beef Kebob, Falafel Sandwich, Beef Shawarma, and Hammus. No, I didn't eat of that at once. So far I've had the Hummus, which is okay to be honest. I can name a few other places that have better Hummus. I have also had the Falafel sandwich for Lunch. This is one of my favorite meals and I have found my spot t get it at!!! I'm eat the Beef Kebob as I'm writing this. This is out of the world! I have a very busy schedule, but I will be taking a detour from work every now and then just to grab some dinner. Besides the food being great, the restaurant is very clean and up kept. the people are friendly. There is nice traditional music playing as you're either enjoying your meal or waiting for your pick up order.

We loved the food but my husband got food poising, for the reason of the two star. I got the chicken dishes (all three of them), he on the other hand got beef. We both loved the food, the vibe, and the service was fast. But for him to get food poising that means SOMETHING or SOMEONE wasn't clean. So that's a bummer 3 days later and he's still sick. I used a Scoutmob no problem so that was cool. Another reason for the low star rating is that an employee was walking around with his baby while serving food. Of course the baby is cute but how many germs is that spreading everywhere. I've never seen an employee anywhere carry their baby and serve food at the same time. What if the baby sneezed.. yuck. Just glad my food was served with two hands by a different employee, instead of one hand and a baby. ** The manager did reach out to accommodate us after the incident which was very professional, so I still recommend you consider this restaurant.

This restaurant is fantastic. The shwarma (both beef and chicken) are absolutely delicious! The ingredients are fresh and prepared very well. The hummus, falafel and arayes appetizers were also fantastic. I make hummus at home myself and will try a few new things after trying theirs. Service was fantastic too. Very patient in explaining anything I had questions about. Oh--and don't forget to try one of their fresh made smoothies. They are to die for.

Just delicious. My honey and I enjoyed falafel, chicken and beef shawarma baklava, and creme brulee. The lentils were delicious too. Can't wait for the next visit.

Everything about this place is top notch!! The food is amazing. The beef shawarma melt's in your mouth. The falafel perfectly crispy. The salad dressing on the side salad, OMG! Gives goddess dressing a run for her money!! Go now!!

Throughout my travels in the South I've tried many Mediterranean restaurants, this one is at the top!! Had mjadara for the first time and will be looking for it again! Highly recommend Cafe Raik--casual atmosphere and friendly staff! Will be back to try other plates!

The food, service, and atmosphere at Cafe Raik is outstanding. Food: I almost wish I hadn't ordered the beef schwarma because it was so good, I am likely to never try another dish here again. Deep, complex flavor without overpowering the palate. The falafel is crispy, not greasy or dry, and packed with balanced spices -- the best I have ever had. My husband had the Chicken Tawook sandwich, which was perfectly prepared and dressed. This sounds crazy, but the side of basmati rice was AMAZING. I could eat a plateful of their rice. Service: Everyone was kind and helpful. It is truly a family business. They are not pretentious and appreciate your business and clearly want you to enjoy the experience. We have a baby who felt very welcome -- by Little Raik himself! Their family encourages your family to enjoy. Atmosphere: Casual chic. You order at the counter and have some line of sight into the prep, and the dining area is modern and sleek. Casual yet a relaxed meal. We will be back. Often!

I'm not a fan of the type of food that they have here (good food, just not my forte), but I went with 2 friends from school and they absolutely love this place!

The best hummus I had since I moved to the U.S. Many years ago, falafel, chicken shawarma, beef kabab and baklava are all amazing . Great and very clean location. Great service as well. They just opened, so I hope they stay consistent ...I will be coming here often..!

Wow. Tried this place not expecting much and was so impressed! It is new and the decor is fresh, clean and simple. Short menu with all the favorites - so sufficient. Friendly and fast service. The food is stunning. Fresh, packed with flavor and presented simply. I love, love, love shish tawook (basically chicken tawook here) and it is the best I've ever had. The wrap, the pickled vegetables, the touch of toom. Perfect, just perfect. I'll be back. Often.

Cafe Raik was a surprisingly pleasant Mediterranean experience. The staff was very patient and helpful in our ordering... We had many questions about the menu, what were these exotic dishes? How were they prepared? Should we try this or that?.... We were encouraged to try Falafel, which we had tried before elsewhere and we unimpressed, but we tried it again "just in case". We were shocked! Their Falafel was so good, it was nothing like what we had had before. The Schnitzel was a treat. The side salad was refreshing and crisp. If your in the mood to try something new, swing by and give them a try, ask questions if your unsure, and enjoy.

Just made my first visit and was completely impressed. Excellent, friendly staff. Fresh, delicious food. I just had a light dinner but the tabbouleh was great with clear, fresh flavors and a huge portion. Fried eggplant was good too (I'd have preferred to have the peel off, but it was so tasty that was a minor thing). Yummy, big portions of bread. I will be back!

My new favorite Mediterranean restaurant. Went for lunch and ordered the falafel sandwich and chicken tawook platter with rice and salad. The food is fresh and very nicely prepared and presented. I especially loved the homemade bread that came with my sandwich. This will definitely be in my lunch rotation. I love supporting locally owned family businesses.

Went back for lunch with a couple of colleagues and had another good experience. This time I tried the beef shawarma sandwich. It was good, but I liked the falafel sandwich better. This time we also tried the hummus and a couple of the baklava options and they were also excellent.

I was very excited to hear about the opening of Cafe Raik, as I absolutely love Middle Eastern cuisine. Having now had the opportunity to eat there several times, I can say that it is as good, if not better, then I could have hoped for. In the few times I've been there thus far (once for dinner and twice for lunch), the food has been outstanding. For lunch, I've had both the chicken shwarma and falafel sandwiches. Both were delicious and rivaled similar offerings from some of my other favorite spots around town (Pita Palace in Toco Hills and Aladdin in Dunwoody). All of the sides that I've tried to this point have been on point (rice and lentils). The service has also been great. It's great to see a high-quality, reasonably-priced, family-owned and run restaurant like Cafe Raik in the neighborhood. Give it a try if you're in the Suwanee/Duluth area.

I was pleasantly surprised when I entered cafe raik. I would pass by it everyday but was weary of it because of the complex it was in. Everything is aesthetically pleasing and the food is delicious. I've probably come here 6+ times in the last 2-3 months. The only two items I've ordered are the falafel and eggplant pita with fries. I've only gotten the eggplant pita once and the eggplant was not fresh, not even warm but the falafel pita is great. This is the only place where I've had Mediterranean food so I have nothing to compare it to, but I think the food tastes wonderful and anyone who wants to try it should. The prices aren't too shabby either.

Our office tried this restaurant today and WOW, totally enjoyed our meals and we were immediately saying this will become our go to fave place to treat ourselves on Fridays. You've earned our business! The lentil soup may look plain...it is NOT! Yum. And goodness, the baklava was super rich & sweet. Already ready for more!

I had the fried chicken Tawook, pita sandwich. I was hoping to have an authentic Mediterranean tasting experience. Instead, I felt like the sandwich was an American adaptation. It had all the ingredients of an authentic version, without the spices. The spice experience was what I was excited about. I would have liked to give 3.5 stars because the sandwich was okay; just not delicious. The fries were great!

I've been meaning to try Cafe Raik for a while now and finally stopped in this week. It was so good, I went back a second time a few days later! The restaurant is very nicely decorated and very clean. Service is excellent and very friendly. You place your order at the counter and your food is brought to your table. So far, we've tried the chicken shawarma pita, beef shawarma pita, and the sampler appetizer with fried eggplant, falafel, and labneh toom. Shawarma pita - The pitas are fresh, fluffy, and I believe they are made in house. You can even buy a sack of pitas to take with you (I did...twice). Both the chicken and beef pita came with a nice portion of meat, lots of great veggies, and a balanced amount of sauces that perfectly complimented the meat and veggies. The chicken is very good but I prefer the beef. The sampler was awesome and could easily serve as a meal for one person. Labneh toom is yogurt with garlic and mint - excellent. The falafel was amazing - not the most flavorful that I've had but still very tasty and moist. The fried eggplant was yummy but it is oily. That's the way it is supposed to be but you should know that before you order. It was my wife's favorite part of the meal. Others have noted that it is a little pricey but I think the price is reasonable for the quality of the food. We enjoyed everything we had and I'm sure we'll return soon.

Someone at work suggested this place for lunch. A few of us decided to go and after getting our food we immediately decided it would be on our regular places to go out to eat. Everyone in our group seemed to enjoy their meal and I really enjoyed mine. I passed on the fries and opted for the salad instead. But after seeing a couple of other people in our group get the fries and how good they looked I had a little entree envy. So the next time I come back I will get the fries as well. I didn't understand what many of the menu choices were and instead of holding up the line I played it safe and went for the beef kaboob sandwich. When I get more familiar with the other choices I will venture out and try the other items. I also never had hummus before but after trying it I'm hooked. The bread they use is delicious just the right texture and goes well with whatever you eat it with. The setup of the restaurant is open and instead of standing up waiting for them to prepare your meal they tell you to take a seat and they bring it out to you. Drinks are self serve so there is no hassle having to ask them to fill your drinks. They were out of sweet tea when I went but that was really my only complaint. The time to get our meals was not long at all and we had enough time to enjoy our food, not having to rush to get back to the office. This is great place to visit for lunch and I can't wait to return; hopefully it will be again this week at work. If not I'll just go on my own.
