What a wonderful, tasteful bistro. Expertly decorated with linen table cloths but not pretentious. The art on the walls was done by locals and the owner's daughter at special wine and art events held there. Even more delightful was meeting the owner/chef. Her enthusiasm for her dishes was so evident! She let us sample a fish cake with caramelized onions she was preparing for a private event. Delicious! The desserts were probably the best we've had in a long time. The sugared lemon was made especially to squeeze over the vanilla ice cream for a "shock" of flavor with the cake. Don't let the strip mall location fool you: this is a one of a kind place. If you are near Augusta for golf - or a ladies' evening out after shopping~, you must run....don't walk, to get there fast!

Quick question: How adventurous are you? If the answer to the question is, "I'll try anything once", have I got a recommendation for YOU! Situated in a sea of non-descript, franchise/chain, been there, ate that last week restaurants is the culinary jewel of the Unique Bistro! Fresher than FRESH with a bouquet of flavors, each day is a lovely surprise as the chef rotates interesting and intriguing entrees and appetizers. Low key atmosphere, lovely local art on the walls, and enough space for a groovy event/party. I had the sweet potato fries, which were NOT your average. Unique Bistro serves there's with vanilla and sprinkles gorgonzola cheese on top! Before you say: "Clearly they have an ingredient wheel they spin in the back and have been cooking whatever it lands on", just TRY it. You'll be shocked, you'll be amazed, and you'll be BACK to see what other Unique Treats they have in store. TL;DR: Go Bistro, Go Bistro its ya Birfday!

My husband and I were celebrating so we went out to dinner here this week and we seriously want to go back soon, it's just not some place we can afford to eat at all the time though. We had crab cakes, salads with some awesome vinaigrette (mine vanilla, his champagne), pork chops, lamb chops, and a dessert I can't remember the name of. Everything was to die for and service was very attentive. The food took a little while to come out but it was cooked to perfection! Can't wait to try some of the other items on their menu.

Went there to for a Corks and Canvas experience, my friend and I ordered the garlic and pepper fries and an order of the beer - battered mushrooms. Both were made to order and pretty tasty. We also ordered mixed drinks from the bar. We had a custom drink called the attitude adjuster....order it and you'll thank me later. The serve is attentive from both staff and owner. I'd like to come back to experience a meal.

Four out of five stars. First, let me say that the food as excellent. I ordered the filet mignon with garlic mashed potatoes. Ordering medium rare is Augusta is always iffy...people here like their food well done, but the chef truly excelled. Perfectly cooked, with an excellent bernaise sauce surrounding it, it was some of the best steak I've had in a long time. My boyfriend had the lamb, which he said was delicious. We also started with crab cakes, which were excellent, very light and not at all greasy. The only reason it's 4 stars instead of 5 is that the service was ehhh. Though we were the only people in the restaurant, the food took over an hour to come out. I blame this mostly on the waiter, who also couldn't figure out how to describe the food on the menu and failed to refill water glasses even once. In short, the food was amazing, way better than standard Augusta fare, but the service could use some sprucing up. I'll be returning anyways, because it was just that good!

Absolutely breathtaking! When you first enter, the atmosphere is intimate and cozy. It makes you not want to leave. The staff is beyond amazing and the service is outstanding! I had the garlic parmesan shrimp and it was so delectable! You can tell the ingredients are prepared fresh and with love. Anybody looking for an upscale fine dining experience... this is the place!!
