After just returning from a trip to Vietnam, I still cannot seem to get enough Vietnamese food. In ATL we have no lack of great Vietnamese spots, but while visiting the family I decided to find a place and take the family for some new tastes. Pho Hoa, has a fairly straight forward menu with all the common tastes of Nam. I would suggest the Banh Xeo, pho bo, shrimp salad, grilled lemon grass pork, and the sweet and sour seafood soup! if you want the Banh Xeo (Vietnamese pancake) order it the moment you walk in. also try the avocado shake, you will be very surprised. pho hoa is a solid representation of traditional Vietnamese cuisine. I would stay away from the pho ga (chicken soup) as the chicken is a bit dry.

Wow, I cannot believe this place has such high reviews! It's decent, but not that great! I was craving for pho so bad when I was in Florida for work for about three months. I did a search and saw that they had a Pho Hoa here!! I was so thrilled so I took some friends here when they came out to visit me. First of all, the service was horrible! There were no lines, no wait, they were even busy, but they made us wait a while before we were seated! After that, they took forever to get us our food! Possibly 15-20 minutes!! When the food came, it was just mediocre pho. It did not hit the spot for me at all! My friends were all ticked at me for taking them there when they can just fly home in a couple days to have some real pho!! Oh well, it was worth a shot! Some of you really need to venture out to California for some bomb ass PHO!!!

After working up an appetite from reading the reviews...i took an 2 hour lunch to this place...in part to get gas, get bday present, getting lost, given up on finding this place, thought it was closed down and finally discovered it by eagle eye bf. As soon as I ran into the place, we were seated and I was fidgeting for service. The house menu was different from the one online...it took me a few more minutes to find the pho with the brisket, tendon, tripe and 'flank with fat' and an order of spring rolls. the spring rolls came pre-made which wasn't as fresh as i wanted...but i wasnt picky now. i ate it all and then munched on some bean sprouts. i was inhaling whatever is coming...the soup was yummy. I couldn't finish it, but i am thinking about leftovers...

The best Vietnamese restaurant you're gonna get in the Dade-Broward area as far as I'm concerned. Pho Hoa is the place where local Vietnamese families and adventurous non-Asians go to get decent, affordable, Vietnamese dishes that are prepared well and priced right. It's not fancy but it's not a hole-in-the-wall either. Unlike some Vietnamese restaurants that try to cram many table tops inside, Phoa Hoa's got booths and tables that allow diners to have some space. The place is a chain but the menu has branched out from the chain menu and offers specialities like banh xeo bubble tea, etc. On week days, this place is dead but on weekends, this place can get busy. Non-Vietnamese speakers can find a bi-lingual menu with photos to accompany orders. My family and I eat here all the time, I totally give it 2 thumbs up

I've been going to the only one in San Jose, CA for the longest time as a kid. My fondest memories with my father were our lunches at Pho Hoa every Saturday mornings. Over the years, I grew less fond of of the place because the broth tastes like it's loaded with MSG. It left me feeling really thirsty after. I've tried several other locations, same thing. But my worst experience by far has to be the one here when I visited Fort Lauderdale. The service was incredibly slow, it was like 30 minutes before we got our order, and it wasn't even crowded when we came. They messed up our orders too on top of that and the drinks we ordered were disgusting. The Thai tea was super dark and not like the one they have at the locations close to us at home. I don't think I'll ever come back :(

I travel to SFL every other week on business so I'm always on the lookout to try something new/different. After reading the prior reviews I decided to give this place a shot. I had never tried Vietnamese food before so I decided to go with the basic Pho. It was DELICIOUS. I got mine to go so I cannot comment on the service in the place, but they took care of my to-go order very quickly. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. I just got a regular portion -- that was plenty. The cost -- a steep $8. Unreal -- very tasty and hot food, quick service, and a great value. Give it a shot.

Had some Vietnamese food after sailing for 8 days on a Royal Caribbean Cruise Liner. I must say it was a good change of food. I ordered the Vermicelli with pork and an egg roll, boy did it taste good. My wife had a bowl of Pho and it was good as well. After eating eight days of buffet, a bowl of soup/noodles was perfect. if i lived in Ft. Lauderdale i would definitely come back and try more dishes.

Pho sho. The Pho here is stellar. The old decor, the cheesy instrumental soundtrack (bonus points for it playing "When a Man Loves a Woman TWICE), and the fish tank make the experience all the more better. It's not flashy, it's not new, it's not overpriced, it's just an excellent place to get soup in a strip mall.

This is just an update for one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants. I still eat here once a week or once every two weeks, and the quality and flavor of the food is still as good as it was when I first started coming here. Good solid choice for Vietnamese, servings are large (I always end up with a to go container), and the service is always good. I still suggest venturing from the typical Pho and Bun dishes, such as the the hot and sour vietnamese soup with shrimp; it has pineapple, okra and tomatoes with a flavorful clear broth, like nothing else!

Gotta give props to the Yelper who said you want to get Pho'ked up, but I sure didn't get Pho'ked up on this pho. My group ordered Pho Dac Biet, a typical for us. Compared to the Pho Hoa in Boston the soup base wasn't as fragrant but there was a lot of tough meat, and not a lot of tripe. The herbs werent that great. The jalapeños and bean sprouts were getting old, wrinkly and brown, but their basil was fresh; and seeing how every table had condiments stocked they must get decent business. The noodles were good and the service was great. The place was clean and the soft music set the mood.

This was one of our favorite places to get Pho in the past. First of all, Pho (and food in general) is really good and tasty. However, service is really bad here, especially the male waiter (he seems to be there always). Last time we've invited few of our friends to try the Pho for the first time and he really ruined the experience for them. He never greeted us (or actually sad anything), just dropped the menus on the table. He tried to take half full Pho from my wife - twice (!). For some reason, when I've ordered the coffee, he did put it on our table, but on the next (I still don't understand the reason). And finally, he stepped to our table (mind you, this is the first thing he said that evening) and told us that if we could leave, he could go home. This was about 30 minutes before closing time. This was not our first bad experience with the service here, we are definitely not coming back.

This was my first try at Vietnamese food. I enjoyed it. I mean I had no idea about the menu. The staff was attentive though they did not speak much English. this I don't mind as I know my food will be as authentic as it can get here. The staff was patient as my friend and I ordered appetizers and then stared blankly at the menu trying to decide what to eat. I got crunchy noodles with some vegetables and mixed seafood/meat. Another thing I greatly enjoyed is they overload the vegetables and only "season" with meat/fish. The animal products are not over bearing. Their sauces are delicious and their Vietnamese coffee is yummy. The owner even asked us how everything was and was very polite. Here I will return.

Prices are a bit high for viet food. But the portion is. It that bad. Spring rolls are bit tough due to the wraps they use. And the egg roll sauce is a bit too sweet. Not a bad place but places seems dead on the weekdays.

Alright if ya'll wanna get Pho-kd up, this is your spot!! This is the most authentic Pho I've been able to find. Portions are huge, prices are right and the beef is always tender. If you are looking for a chic, fancy atmosphere, this is not the right place! Its usually hot with a weird fan blowing and an odd smell. BUT that being said, its still the best Pho!! If you're looking for a spot with a little more ambiance, try Basilic.

3.5 really. I am recently obsessed with pho (especially with this cold weather we have been having) but I always go to the same place every time. I love my go to...but I thought I should branch out a little. I went in on a Tuesday evening and they weren't very busy. Looking over the menu I knew I want the pho, and I liked the way the menu was setup, suggesting different versions depending on how accustomed you are to Vietnamese and how adventurous you wanted to be. I went with a beginner meatball pho and my brother went for an advanced tendon/trip/beef pho. I'm a baby when it comes to trying new meats...so I don't think I would ever get that adventurous. Service was quick and we were eating within a few minutes. The soup was quite good, but I couldn't help comparing it to my favorite spot, and I felt it lacked a little flavor in the broth and it could have been hotter...but overall it was delicious and I had no problem eating the whole thing (though I was quite full). One of my major issues here was that there weren't too many options for pho...all had beef in one form or another. Now it may be that this is more authentic and the seafood pho I love so much is not something you would really find, or it may be a regional thing, I really don't know, but I missed the seafood options. For "dessert" I ordered a taro bubble smoothie to go. This was a really amazing smoothie, and it had such a fun purple color. I wouldn't mind coming back here, I did enjoy my meal, and the staff was very sweet, but with my other favorite seafood pho down the street it may be hard to convince me. I will say though in terms of other Vietnamese dishes ouside of pho their menu seemed quite extensive and it is probably worth exploring further.

Awesome Vietnamese, period. Food is awesome, portion is just right, and waiters are friendly and sometimes wacky. Had Bun which was made just right, loved the spring roll, meatball, pork...ok I like all of options. Pho is also awesome, it's frigging summer in FL and no idea why i ordered it but couldn't resist. Again, awesome food. This joint is somewhat easy to miss coming from either direction. Also the biz next doors look a little shady but don't let that stop you, it's worth trying out.

Faux Hoax. My family and I visited Pho Hoa for dinner an hour before closing. My wife has gotten takeout several times but never dined in. A male server greeted us at the table and asked to take our order. I have never been there and had 4 pages of menu to read in 10 seconds. He kept pressing me to order. This is all within the first 90 seconds of being there. I had not even received a drink yet. My wife's food came 10 minutes before mine since he took her order while I was still deciding. My impression was that they did not like customers coming in the door because they were very rude. The guy in particular. The food was fair but the service was as bad as it gets. I will never return. If you want things plopped on the table with attitude, this is the place for you.

This is the best pho in town. I came here to try and find solace in another pho's arms after leaving my favorite noodle house up north. Pho Hoa is even better: the portions are big and the pricing is moderate! The staff have gotten to know my fiancè and I as regulars, because we have dinner there at least twice a week and I'm the only one that ever asks for a fork. If you're unsure, just go and order a #40, you won't regret it.

Pho is always consistent with their food and service. Although the place is dated, my experiences have always been good. Their.prices are reasonable as well. As long as they are open, with the same food and service, I will continue to patronize them.

I am addicted to this place although I will admit I have only ever eaten 2 things. Every time I visit I get the 36 C beef, a vermicelli noodle bowl with beef. The noodles are wonderful, the beef is cooked just right, I love the peanuts, salad, bean sprouts, and pickled vegetables. I put just a little sriracha chili sauce on it and eat the whole bowl. The supreme bean desert is very different, but delicious. The staff is not the friendliest which seems to be somewhat typical of Asian restaurants. However, they are efficient and the food comes out super fast. if you go at night, this place can be a bit empty and depressing, however the food is still awesome! Pho Hoa gets very busy with business people for lunch. I once had a party of 10 visit for dinner, and the staff accommodated us very well and the food came out like a flash. Highly recommend for one person or a large party. The food is extremely consistent.

Okay, it's not the greatest pho in the world but it tasted pretty good, was a decent value, and the service was quick without feeling rushed. Now, I am by no means a Pho expert. I ordered the veggie spring roll appetizer and the pho tai. Both were yummy. The restaurant wasn't busy at all and the food came out lightning fast. They came back several times to refill my water glass. All in all, no complaints. What can be better than a steaming bowl of spicy pho when you're getting over a cold. Nothing! It's a nice alternative to your typical chicken noodle soup.

I had the pho tai, which was okay, but nothing spectacular. I also had the seafood mi dish, which was again just okay. Overall, the food would be enough to satisfy a Viet food craving in a pinch if no other options existed. Since I'm visiting from out of town, I cannot comment on whether better options do indeed exist. I gave it three stars for okay food and fast & accommodating service.

I love Pho Hoa up in Orlando, and while it's a chain, the menu is not the same. Pho Hoa Orlando has a much more extensive menu, including great vegetarian options and items I haven't seen in S Florida. As it's located in the part of town nicknamed Little Saigon, competition is stiff. Therefore, with Pho Hoa Orlando in mind, I find this South Florida branch pales in comparison. The actual menu has more items than either the one on yelp's link or the company site, which is a nice relief. It too has a vegetarian section - kind of unusual for a Vietnamese restaurant here. I ordered a durian bubble tea, (if you've never tried durian - the Asian fruit that Anthony Bourdain loves and Andrew Zimmern finds replusive - a durian bubble tea is a good start, as it's mostly sweet with very little of that stinkiness). The bubble is okay for S Florida standard - without the turn around like in LA or Toronto, the bubble here always sits out too long. At least it's not hard or too mushy like some other I've tried. They do have tamer flavors of bubble smoothie, and Vietnamese coffee, for those who want to a be a little adventurous but not too much. We ordered a rolled beef w onion appertizer, which was DELICIOUS. Beef was tender, grilled to a crisp, juicy and flavorful. The pho is hit and miss. Broth is pretty good. The steak was chewy. Tendon was tender and the fatty flank soft and melty. The price is a bit high but it's super-sized compare to other pho places, so you do get your money's worth. Honestly I'd rather they provide a regular size at a cheaper price, I could barely finish mine.

The pho is okay, the customer service is outstanding and everybody is really friendly and attentive to their customers. Beside pho, Che is decent too for desert. Rolled beef BBQ for appetizer is pretty good. The location,however is a bit shady and in an old commercial block. Staffs were very helpful in trying to help me find the fleas market and oriental market since I'm only visiting ft lauderdale.

I usually go by the rule that if the restaurant you visit is ethnic and the patrons visiting that location is from that ethnic background it has to be authentic. We went during the week and there were actually 4 tables full of people. The restaurant is actually rather large for a restaurant of this type. I hope it gets full. Now on to the food, the summer roll was good but I wish it was a little larger. The soups were great, I cant complain.

Pho Hoa has been in my bookmarks to review for a long time now -- I keep going back without sharing how awesome this place is! (How selfish of me.) The food here is on par with many other excellent pho places I've eaten at. The spring rolls are really good; if you're with a friend, share some! Of course, what really shines here is the pho. I always get the meat ball and steak. Mmm. My mouth is watering as I type this. Throw some hoisin, sriracha, jalapenos, bean sprouts...and now you've got an amazing dinner. The service is attentive, friendly and makes you want to return for another delicious bowl of pho!

Great place to get you Vietnamese fix. Had lunch here on Sunday afternoon and ordered the following for 4 hungry adults who can eat. Appetizers:Spring Rolls, Summer Rolls, Raw Beef Salad with dressing All of the appetizers were delicious with the appropriate sauce. Although the beef salad was extra good today. Extra large Pho with Beef, brisket and meat balls. Large soup with an okay broth. Meat and noodles were okay. Could have used a larger dish of the vegetables and herbs. Soup was average. Pork and Spring Roll Bun was tasty and fresh. Pork was well marinated and grilled well. Mixed in the normal nouc Cham and it was tasty after thoroughly mixing all the rice noodles with lettuce, bean sprouts, pork and herbs. Could have used a few more veggies to make it fresher but tasty none the less. Ordered the shaking beef which is small cubed pieces of beef that was well cooked with onions and served with lettuce and tomatoes. Banh Xeo, egg crepe mixed in with pork, shrimp and bean sprouts which you wrap with the accompanied leaves of lettuce and basil, tasty but average. Lastly we had a Mixed Meat, Seafood and Veggies over Pan Fried Rice Noodles, the rice noodles were fried extra crispy and after the sauce soaks in from the stir fry and softens the noodle it was nice plus having a multitude of veggies, seafood and meats. We also drank a honydew Boba drink and Iced Vietnamese Coffee. All this was delicious. My only complaint is that the food may have had a bit too much msg, as we were all thirsty a few minutes leaving the restaurant. Good place to get a fix of Vietnamese food. Overall tasty

As a Vietnamese dude, I've surprisingly found it difficult to find a legitimate Vietnamese restaurant as I was visiting Florida for a business trip. This place was hard to find because the yelp directions are wrong, but it was worth driving around for 15 minutes to find it because the food was just like my mom would make it! I ordered a rice and grilled pork dish. The portions were sufficient and the price was reasonable. A hint to those trying to find this place: it's actually to the north of Lakeside drive and on the west side of Florida highway 7.

I always come here for my pho fix. It's consistently good and consistently open... a lot of the restaurants I come to in South FL close and pho places are no exception. This place has a good Vietnamese menu and great pho menu. There seems to be every combo of pho available. It's also well priced and they give you a lot of meat which is great. The service is really good too. It's usually very fast. It looks like it's kind of in a ghetto area but it's not that bad. Definitely come here!

Can i just say i'm addicted to this place? Every meal i get, it has NEVER tasted bad. vermicelli pork was great. Beef was great. Pho is great. Bubble tea is sooo tasty. The food is great enough to overlook how 'not nice' the place looks. BTW menu is kinda overwhelming and confusing, since i am not vietnamese... So basically i hope that i chose something good, but oh well, because it ends up being good :)

I have been wanting to try Pho Hoa for two reasons: 1. Pho 2. Tapioca Pearl Dessert Drinks On this visit, I figured I would get option 2 out of the way since I was in the area and craving those delectable tapioca balls. On entering, I was a tad disappointed to find their flavored milk tea offerings non-existent, but took this chance to instead try a pineapple smoothie with pearls. Of all of the flavors that pair well with the tapioca, almond and pineapple have always been my favorite and in recent years I have had to relegate my pineapple craving to the back-burner since no business I have been to since Bento Cafe in Gainesville carries pineapple. I was really happy to get the Asian Slurpee and ran out the door with it in hand. As I was pulling out of the parking lot, I took my first good mouthful of the frozen drink. I was a bit put off by the flavor. I decided to hold judgement until I was halfway through. At the halfway mark I stopped. Anyone that has read any of my past reviews on desserts and dessert items knows that I am not a fan of items that are sweet for the sake of being sweet. This drink falls into that category. That has never been an insurmountable hurdle for me in the past since I just ask for less sweetener to be added on the following iteration. The reason was the flavor. I kept on waiting for pineapple goodness to get through to me, but it never did. All I tasted throughout the entire experience was peach. I despise peach. Suffice to say, I won't make another trip for a bubble drink. At some point I may return to try the pho.

Oh, man I love this place. I usually get the pho with eye round steak. Besides the meat you get the delish broth, noodles, sprouts, onions, fish sauce, and other accoutrements. This time I got what they call the adventurous pho with brisket, flank, tendon, fatty, and crunchy flank. It was SO good. I've only had better pho in Central Ohio but this place is pretty solid.

Pretty close to my mom's pho when I ate it.. Although, my mom makes pho I love eating at different Vietnamese restaurants. My fiancé ate the pho Ga and I had the pho tai..I've only had it better at one other restaurant and that was in boynton beach called summer rolls factory (now closed). The broth had just the aroma and the noodles were not hard, which is always good when you get take out. Def would eat here again.. The food is authentic, and their bobba or "bubble" tea is a must!

The best Pho in FLL. This is coming from a man that was born in Saigon. I've tried all the other Vietnamese restaurants around here and this one is hands town the best pho. Why only 3 stars? The service sucks. Two kids are the usual suspects. They are usually too busy to fill up your glass of water because they are sitting down at an adjacent table playing with their iPhones. The owner is not very friendly either. Bummer, I love the food but won't go back again. Thought it was just a one time deal, but not so.

Pho Hoa is a great place for a quick Pho fix when you in the Fort Lauderdale area. It makes the best choice for Pho because there are hardly any other competition! However, I have to say that the service is quick and efficient. Our XL pho with beef and meatballs arrived in 3 minutes after we placed our order! The size is great to share with a friend. We also order a Summer Roll. That summer roll I think is one of the better ones I ate. The noodles are made from dried noodles not fresh, however it was quite tasty. The broth is quite salty but is acceptable. The service is friendly and the price is reasonable. I would definitely comes back to have my Pho fix at Pho Hoa when I am in the area! They accepts all credit cards.

My sister took us to Pho Hoa for lunch after reading the great reviews on Yelp. We were surprised that the restaurant did not live up to the reviews. The restaurant is very spacious and the service is pretty fast. Me and my dad ordered the rice dish with the grilled chicken and pork chop that came with a spring roll. My sister and mom both ordered pho and spring rolls as an appetizer. When the spring rolls came out, it didn't look very spectacular...just typical spring rolls. My sister was about to take a bite from it when she noticed a strand of hair in the spring roll filling =|. We told the waitress and she came back with a new plate of spring rolls and didn't charge us for it. I had a sip of the pho broth and it was alright...I've had better. My sister said the bo vien (beef meatballs) didn't even taste like bo vien. The rice dish was okay but if it tasted really good I would've remembered because it was not even a week ago. We've been to the states many times and we have yet to find a Vietnamese restaurant with delicious food...like Pho Mi 99 (sorry, I just love that place). Would I go here again if I was in the area? Probably not.

This place has such awesome tasting food. Everything i've had here is just so good and prepared just right! I'm not a avid eater of fried rice but their fried rice is SOOOO GOOD! I work right around the corner so I come to eat here at least once a week. The staff is nice. Food is always very abundant and comes out fast! The decor really needs updating, I wish they would redecorate, they'd have so much more business. Maybe it's best this way, more fast, good food for me!

I was very happy with the Pho and the service, but I ordered something that was super fatty. This is not a fault of the restuarant, but it is a tradition for Pho to use fatty meats. If you are an American (or anyone not accustomed to fatty meats) ask what options are lean. The steak is lean, while the others are like chewing on a raw piece of bacon. The soup is tasty and the prices are great. My Vietnamese waitress was super friendly and super cute. (One of these 3 stars is just for her!)

Ok, I'm writing this review from the viewpoint of an outta-towner who has a little more access to Vietnamese food. I always like to check out Vietnamese places when I am out and about and this one was very close to the hotel I was staying at. After checking Yelp, it seems like Pho Hoa is pretty popular among yelpies. First, this place is actually a chain. I don't know if the prices are consistent or if they vary by region, but the prices at this restaurant is ridunculous compared to what I'm used to in Atl. I'm talking $9 for a large bowl of pho vs. $7 back home. I understand the price difference though. I am impressed by the selection of specialty dishes also. Service was very good. We were approached several times, even though we were ordering to -go. Anywho, we went there for boba tea. I decided to be open minded and tried the lychee slush. It kinda sucks. Way to go for open-mindedness. The slush was very very sweet and the ice dissolved very quickly. I was basically drinking cold, lychee flavored saccharine liquid. The avocado shake was better. However, I could taste the condense milk in it. The boba here is very soft and not as chewy as I'd like.

Located in a predominantly asian area (hard to believe in the middle of Broward - 441 area), you can't go wrong with most of the Asian businesses down here: cheap, modest, no frills, authentic, friendly. I know because a dear Chinese co-worker only buys his Asian groceries from the markets in the area. Dont be fooled by the distressed strip mall appearance, this restaurant has Abundant and yummy food, quick service, good prices, friendly staff.

I really wanted to eat Vietnamese food on our 1st day in Florida so I yelp around and found this place. I order pho and my friend order bun tit noung, egg roll and bi. The food came out fast so that was a plus. There were alot of white people inside so that was a negative lol sorry My pho tasted decent but the meats that came along w/it was chewy as hell and I couldn't even taken a bit. The bun was ok but it tasted a little odd. Overall I wouldn't come back here if I have no Viet food in the state of FL. I do admit, it tasted better then Viet food in NYC but overall disappointed!!!!

Pho Hoa is a little more expensive than other pho places I've been to around the area. A large bowl of steak and tendon costs almost $10, but they have a wide variety of meat combinations (fatty flank, tripe, and briskets to name a few) with different prices as well. The restaurant is clean, service is decent, and the food comes out quickly; basically your standard pho place. Actually their menu is pretty cool; it's very descriptive and has a personality to it that helps the diner choose something. If you're feeling adventurous, try the D16: Che Dac Biet (supreme combination beans drink). It's a glass that starts out with 3 separate layers of crushed ice, coconut milk with shredded green jelly, and some red bean juice (I think that's what it was). You mix it up in the cup to create this concoction of Asian flavors, which sort of tastes like a taro smoothie, with beans and jelly. Very interesting indeed.

Just two days ago I was on a Mission to find Taro Bubble Milk Tea here in South Florida and was told by a friend that this place had it. Being that I travel to the Philippines often it is drink that I enjoyed and miss a lot. I felt a little odd walking into a restaurant just to order a drink but I was on a mission and was happy that I finally found a place that sold Bubble Milk Tea. Unfortunately my happiness slowly turned to sadness as I got what looked like a frozen purple slush out of a 7 Eleven machine. I was use to drinking a Milk Tea not a Slush Tea. I figured I'd give it a try and see what happens. When I first started drinking the Taro Slush Tea the round black pearls inside were fresh and had a slight licorice taste but as I started to hit the bottom of the cup thats when things took a turn. I found myself eating hard frozen tasteless stale pearls. It was like they decided to mix in some fresh pearls with some old pearls into the cup just so that they can get rid of the old stale pearls. So my happiness quickly turned into disappointment. I just hope their food here isn't prepared the same way. Although my first experience with the Taro Slush Tea was a bit disappointing I will try this place one more time. I believe in giving places the benefit of the doubt. Stay tuned for an update.

Went here for lunch on Sunday after a pilgrimage to ikea. I love Pho and good establishments are few and far between in Miami. A Vietnamese friend had recommended Pho Hoa so we trekked a little further north to check it out. The menu reads like a bible of Pho - laying it out simply with dishes for the simple and uninitiated to those for the pros (with tripe and tendons!) My sister went for simple with just steak and I had #52 with fatty flank, steak, and brisket. The whole meal was so flavorful; perfectly cooked rice noodles, fresh herbs, crispy bean sprouts all in a rich and flavorful broth. We also had a #2 Bi- Coun spring rolls but I have had better and was expecting something else so I would recommend the traditional over these. I had the green tea bubble tea to finish since I am determined to develop a taste for this interesting concoction of flavors and textures. A great foodie lunch to start off 2012! Service was a little slow but only at the end of the meal - not enough to derail me from going back. PS - corkage is $4!!!

Been wanting to try this place and yesterday was the day. Went for lunch, the place was empty shortly before noon and with a mass influx of people was nearly full 5 minutes later which is usually a good sign. The Pho did not disappoint, spring rolls delicious and the Tapioca Pineapple dessert smoothie was tasty. This place is a bit of a drive for me but I will definitely be back again. If you like Pho then you should check this place out.

Went back to try something else other than Pho off the menu. The menu was rather long and dishes looked good. I opted for the rice noodle dish with mixed veggies, seafood and more. It was good but a bit oily and I'd liked more noodles...especially since it came with the fresh wide noodles, my favorite. I was expecting the thin vermicelli ones, so it was a plus. My dinner buddy had a rice plate with grilled chicken and spring roll. Looked good and gave me a reason to come back to try more.

Amazing little Vietnamese restaurant in this sketchy little shopping plaza. It's located right next to a rinky-dink grocery store and looks kinda shady from the outside. The inside is much nicer and is very ...uh..."Asian", I guess. (New adjective). Apparently this place is a chain and are located everywhere, but this is the only one of its kind that I know. Pho Hoa serves authentic Vietnamese cuisine and doesn't stray too far away from that into other Asian cuisines. You won't find sushi or honey chicken here. Instead, you'll find Vietnamese staples like rice noodles, pho, and grilled meats w/rice dishes. The pho here is excellent. There is no small or medium bowls. They go straight to offering large or extra large. They have a good selection of meats for your pho. You can choose beef flank, tendon, brisket, or even delve into stranger meats like pig's feet or tripe. The broth is very flavorful and every bowl comes with a plate of herbs and vegetables that you can use (typically basil leaves, mint, bean sprouts). The noodles are good too but I wish they would put more. It's always a sad sight to see your meat and noodles gone and you're left with a bowl of broth. Though, it is one delicious bowl of broth. My favorite thing on the menu is the grilled pork and shredded pork with rice. It is probably the biggest reason I gave this place 5 stars. When you order that rice plate and the waiter comes with that big plate of food, you're practically begging for the food. The portion is large and is sure to fill the emptiest of stomachs. They give you a generous portion of white rice and comes with a salad too (tomato slices, lettuce, pickled carrots and radishes, and cucumber slices). On top of the rice is a nice slice of grilled pork chop bone-in. Then, there is a side of shredded dried pork. The grilled pork chop is seasoned beautifully and has a wonderful flavor. I don't know what the seasoning is, but I crave it constantly (even as I'm writing this review). The shredded pork is superb. It's this dry shredded pork that's been cooked and chilled (then warmed up a little). It tastes much better than it sounds. One negative about this place would be the boba teas and slushes. They are way too sweet and the texture of the boba that they use is very soft and chewy. I would avoid this place because it's a waste of money and stomach space. Otherwise, this place has the most incredible food. I fully enjoy Vietnamese food and if this place were any closer to my house, I would be a regular. The service was friendly and very helpful with our questions. The pho and rice dishes are amazing and worth coming back again and again.

Me so slurrrpy!!! I think it's been 10 years since my last Pho experience - and it did not rock my world. I'd forgotten all about it. Then I picked this place off of my Yelp Bookmarks and decided to give it a try. I am now officially a Pho ho (I know if pronounced correctly that does not rhyme - but "foo-hoo" just doesn't work..or is it "fah-hah") Anyway - I enjoyed a lovely, hot and tasty bowl of the Pho with brisket and flank and something fatty -crispy. Who knows - it was an orgy of flavors and textures and really soothing broth; I absolutely loved it. There is apparently a proper way to eat Pho, but I improvised and experimented with dipping the meat into different sauces. It was fun to burn the heck out of my tongue a few times and make a complete mess. Soooo many lovely noodles and meaty goodness spilling everywhere -- and that soothing broth. Surprisingly yummy on a hot Florida day. Can't beat the prices-- $10.00 for a perfectly satisfying meal (The Large bowl is pretty ginormous, by the way- so get it only if you are really hungry.) The menu has some starter classics that I skipped - classic egg rolls and lighter "summer rolls" served with vermicelli noodles. Ho ho ho! This is a little, family run place with perfectly fine service and an attentive staff. I think they were laughing more at me than with me- but, I'm used to that and I'll take laughter - and my pho- any old way. Slurpity slurp! Yummmm!! (Oh- how could I forget- their lovely tea! Key to a perfect Pho experience. Sweet!)

Let's just say I have not eaten at this place and left disappointed. I am originally from Boston and lived in San Francisco which are two cities with a large Vietnamese population so I've had THE best phos, imperial rolls and vermicelli bowls you could have. I could eat Noodle Soup everyday for the rest of my life and be satisfied so my expectations for it is sky high! I was nervous when moving here bc I did not think there was good soup here until I found this place! The Bun Bo Hue was the first noodle soup dish i ordered and it SHOCKED me bc it was pretty darn good. My other favorite here is the beef stew noodle soup. My bf has tried the pho as well as the vermicelli noodle dishes with pork and both were up to par. I come here every weekend for my noodle soup fix, but if we want to switch things up the other place we go to is Saigon City in Laud Lakes..

I love Pho! I'm vietnamese and am always looking for pho that would be comparable to Mom's. Pho Hoa's offering is pretty good. Certainly one of the better pho broth that we've been able to find in S. Florida. They have a nice variety of beef cuts, eg flank, fatty brisket, tripe, thin sliced top round as well as the full compliment of herbs. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place especially since there's a paucity of good pho places in Mia. It's not quite Mom's but still pretty good and worth the trip. Sidenote, the goi cuon (summer roll) is subpar. It contains only the basic elements (shrimp, noodles, and lettuce) but lacks the ingredients that really provide the flavor, ie thin sliced pork belly, bean sprouts, herbs. Good prices: Pho reg bowl approx $8. Goi cuon 2/order $3-4. I've also lived/visited other areas of the country (Northern VA, San Jose, NYC, Hawaii, Houston) where there is a larger Viet pop. Obviously Pho Hoa may have a tougher time competing in those markets, but it is one of the better places down here. So I'd recommend this place if ur here and need a Pho fix. If anyone wants VERY GOOD Viet food, checkout Colonial drive in Orlando. It is just north of downtown and has turned into a Little Saigon with multiple high quality eateries.

I would give this place a 3.5 star. Given its nearby competition, I believe it stands slightly better with better soup base and offerings of more variety of fruit shakes. Price is slightly higher than those in California. But given its location, it is acceptable. I also really liked that they have milk shakes, yumm. I think that is why I am round up rather than down.

When I was working in Ft. Lauderdale, this was a weekly trek for our Vietnamese fix. The place is in a dinky strip mall, but don't let that dissuade you from trying the food. The place is pretty big and usually very busy. The menu is huge, so take your time to review. We always have the meat roll appetizers (which tastes like a mini Palomilla) as well as the fresh spring rolls. Both are fresh and extremely flavorful. I have tried many dishes and everything was always tasty and fresh. I particularly like the grilled chicken with steamed rice, but I have also had the pork, and several of the soup dishes. If you are in the mood ask them to throw a fried egg on top of your rice for added flavor. The also have a lot of different fruit smoothies prepared in the traditional Vietnamese style. I never realized this place was a chain until I read it in their menu that there were franchise opportunities.

It's my second time in 2 years that we ate here at pho Hoa`, no surprise the owner lady name Sau' was always treats us really nice, she went out of her way to cook a special meal for us with our own caught fish from the Anglins pier in Ft. Lauderdale, the price was very reasonable, but most of all the cook was fast and in good taste. We were in hurry to catch the cruise ship that leaves out of Miami around 3pm, They cooked really fast and served us a big meal that we won't forget, it was so good both times, but the boss said try not to come on the prime rush hour, so she can have time to prepare better next time, it does take time to prep the fresh caught fish from the ocean. With all that said, i strongly suggest anyone to come here and eat, especially if you want to fish at the pier and call her first and let them cook for you a meal...cant beat that!!! I can't rate the service of the wait staff, since I ordered pho tai as take-out for lunch. When I called in my order, I was told it would be about 10 minutes, so I immediately left to pick it up since it was going to take me approximately that long to get out there from the office. Inside the restaurant was packed with the lunch crowd, but I made my way to the back where my order was already packed up and ready to go. Quick in and out. All the ingredients were separated which was awesome, so that I could heat up the broth on its own and then add in the ingredients when I was ready to enjoy them, which made it super fresh. Of the pho I've had recently, their broth is my second favorite. Definitely going to have to come back.

One of the better Vietnamese restaurants I've been to in Miami. As most Vietnamese-food fans probably know, it's hard to find a really good and authentic Vietnamese restaurant to eat at. This place is located in probably one of the sketchy-est shopping plazas on Commercial I've ever seen but don't let the outside fool you, the inside is quite welcoming and pleasant. They have two TVs on both sides of the restaurant, usually on the News or a popular show of the night. I've been here a few times and I always order the Bun Bo Hue (Special Spicy Noodle Soup) with a Taro Boba Smoothie. The broth is delicious and the noodles always taste fresh. The meat tends to be more on the fatty/chewy side but still good. I ordered a regular Pho bowl with assorted meats once and it was good but I've had better. Once again, the broth was the best part of the dinner. For the smoothies / boba drinks, they use powders for flavoring instead of real fruits but they still come out pretty good. I never get tired of their Taro Boba Smoothie. Their appetizers are always delicious. Their Cha Gio (Crispy Spring Rolls) and Goi Coun (Summer Roll with a dipping Peanut sauce) come to the table fresh. Even though I live a good 30-40 minutes away from the restaurant, my parents and I enjoy it better than some of the closer Vietnamese restaurants, so we don't mind the drive.

I don't eat Vietnamese often and when I do it's mainly pho. I ordered the lemongrass porkchop for $8.95 and one piece was thin and easy to cut through, the other for some reason was almost impossible to cut. I don't really expect them to have steak knives, but there's no reason it should be a chore to cut my porkchop into bite size pieces. I'm not sure if it was mainly fatty, the thickness, or just that the knife sucked (I tried another one, same result). It was honestly nothing spectacular, same with the rice and salad. My cousin had the pho and she said she had better, as far as broth and flank which was fatty in her pho too. The decor is alright but it seemed the food was nothing to rave about. I think my Vietnamese Iced Coffee was the highlight of the meal to be honest.

I yelped this place and stopped in for lunch while returning to Orlando from driving a friend to Miami International Airport. As it turns out - this place is located just a block away from the Florida turnpike! We were quickly seated and we ordered Menu # 3 Crispy Spring roll - it was Excellent and freshly made. The dipping sauce was also exceptional. We also tried Menu # 16 Com Chien Thom dac Biet (Fried rice with shrimps, chicken, eggs, peas, carrots and fresh Pineapple!) The service was average, but the food was way above average! Will definitely visit again when I am in the area!

Been to many Pho places on the West Coast of the states (California and Washington) and this place stacks up well to most of the places I've been. Generous portions, well priced and the pho is delicious. The broth is excellent, though a pinch fatty. I love their tripe/tendon/beef versions - authenticity is spot on. Service is adequate; not the friendliest bunch, but I'm not there for the service - I'm there for that PHO. I crave Pho and this place satisfies everytime. Will go there until I move to Seattle (where there's a Pho place on every corner - YAY) Cheers.

I went with my co-workers here for lunch. This is their favorite restaurants. It was pretty crowded. However, I felt that the Vietnamese waitress was pretty mean to me. I'm not sure if that was because I am an Asian and they don't like to have Asian customers. Anyway, I sat down with my friends and ordered Hu Tieu (Phnom Penh Noodle Soup). I waited 15 minutes for the dish and then I was shocked when it was put on my table. It doesn't look like the authentic Hu Tieu at all and I could not stand the taste of the soup. It simply had no taste. I asked my friend how his Pho is, and he said it had not taste. So two of us stopped and waited for other guys to finish before we left. I guess we prefer the authentic soup since we are Vietnamese. However, due to the attitude of the waitress to us, I gave it 1-star.

My family, including my in-laws, were staying in Ft. Lauderdale overnight awaiting a flight back to Providence after a family reunion. My husband's family is Cambodian and my mother-in-law doesn't eat American food. I found Pho Hoa on Yelp, so we went for dinner. I ordered the pho ga and the iced coffee. The soup was amazing. It came with a ton of vegetables, which I was originally put off by, thinking broccoli in pho?, but no, it was fan-freaking-tastic. The broth was excellent and not just the both they use for the beef pho. They were generous with the bean sprouts, basil, lime and jalapenos and they also had that long spiky green leaf (not sure what it is called). My iced coffee was great too, not too much condensed milk, served with the steeper. Everyone else appeared to be happy with their food as well, but I can't comment on the taste since I was so busy with mine. I don't even think my mother-in-law complained, which is saying something. The only bad thing is now I don't want to eat pho at any of my local places cuz they all taste like ass now by comparison.

having been on a cruise for a week then Florida for another half, I was craving some Asian food and particularly pho when it was cold in Florida last week. found Pho Hoa to be semi close to our hotel and went there. Pho Hoa is okay compared to many of our great Pho places back in CA... but what I do like about it is that it's a chain, and it's consistent. I've had Pho Hoa at a couple locations around the country and I know what I'm going to get. this becomes very beneficial when travelling and wanting pho, especially in areas that may not be heavily asian or have many pho places. so it was great to come here and get some reliable pho to fill my cold tummy.

I like, I like a lot! The only reason I'm not giving them a full 4 stars that the food deserves is because they started to turn off everything and pack up and some of the staff event left and it was only 9:30 (They close at 10) We first went to Phuong Nam, and it took 10+ minutes for someone to come take our order only to find out that they didn't have any Vegetarian options. So we ventured over to Pho Hoa. The food was really tasty I enjoyed my food and like my hubs food even more. There is no glitz or glamour to the place but who cares when the food is on point and you have great company and oh yeah the prices are really reasonable too.

We've now eaten here about a half dozen times. It's a bit out of the way for us as we live on the east side, but worth the trip. Go here for the cooking. The atmosphere is zero, service excellent, prices ok. While the food does not approach the delicacy and flavor of Vietnam, for So. Florida, it is excellent. Always very fresh, balanced flavors, no stupid creativity, an interesting menu. If you enjoy Asian cooking, Pho Hoa is a solid choice.

The best Vietnamese I've had so far in Broward (I grew up in Houston, which is Viet-centric, and am actually half Vietnamese). And when I talked to a family in Savannah, GA, who had their own pho restaurant, they told me that they used to have a restaurant in the Miami area and said "Pho Hoa. Only place for Vietnamese." Regardless, the pho bowls are huge here, even more than normal. A regular sized bowl is like a large, and the large is enormous. I think they even have an XL (!). And not only that, they load those bowls with more noodles and meat than usual. I've gone there dozens upon dozens of time in the year that I've lived here. And I'm always craving pho, so I rarely get to branch out and try the other food. But I'm glad I did, because their bo luc lac (shaken beef) is delicious. The combination of flavors of everything eaten together after dipping the tender garlicky beef morsels in the salt-pepper-lime mixture...and combining it with the tomato & lettuce, sauteed red onion, and egg fried rice with the charcoal grill flavor...omg. The only tough part is trying to get all those flavors together in your mouth for one bite. I've tried catfish in clay pot...which is easy to eat if you're really good with chopsticks, but otherwise it can be tough for the normal American. The flavor was spot on though. The seafood pho is very light with tons of veggies; I've tried some of the other soups...with the egg noodles (mi)...and hu tieu...also good, but pho is still my favorite. Twice that I had the beef rolls appetizer, the meat was cooked so perfectly rare-seared around those spring onions...mmm. And then one time it was a little overcooked and not marinated as well. The one thing I didn't like that I've tried is the soup with the pork knuckle. But everything else is a good. Pho...the best hangover cure ever. EDIT: Be advised that they use quite a bit of MSG, so don't plan on doing anything that requires you to be really alert afterward.

When you poll my friends, "What is the best hangover food you can think of?" They all say "Pho!" So... After a looong saturday night... and a long day of recovery on sunday... we all ventured on to our Favorite Viet Spot... Pho Hoa. I'm still in Love with the Bo Luc Lac and Egg rolls (the fried ones) they are made with something that makes them addictive like coke, whenever I come, we have to order it as an app, because it's THAT good! :) And this time we tried a new App: Dau Hu Rang Moui - salt and pepper fried tofu. It's cooked the same way this one super yummy crab dish is made, so I decided to try it. It's pretty good! Even the onions,jalapenos, and such that it came with on the plate was all eaten up. My friend Micho, got excited after trying just the veggie parts he scooped it up with the soup spoon. Yummy! Anyway... The Pho is good. the broth is the best i've found so far, down here.

awesome! ive had pho hoa on my bookmarks forever but i finally made it for lunch yesterday as i hung out in fort lauderdale most of the day. im so glad i remembered this place and thank god for mobile.yelp.com because i was able to get driving directions and everything. i got off the car and the very moment i got off the car i knew i was in for a treat. why? because it smelled delicious. the restaurant is very modest, its got that family-run look. there were about 6 other tables one of which was a huuuuge party, at least 20 people. they were all having pho... i couldnt wait. so we (me and my gf) got seated by our waitress and she brought us menus and water immediately. the menu is pretty big, so i ordered bbq spring rolls and appetizers while we browsed through the entire menu. i kinda had my mind made up. i wanted pho, but theres like 20 variations of it. for 'begginers', the traditional and for the 'adventurous' - that means, with red meat, with fatty red meat and with fatty red meat and tripe and other more 'exotic' meats. i got menu item 41 (with tendon and eye round steak) and my girl had vermicelli noodle bowl with grilled pork and a fried roll and vegetables. she also got some tea which she loved. so we got our appetizer within 10 minutes, two spring rolls. i was not impressed by those, to be quite honest. they werent bad but considering my hopes .. they didnt meet my expectations. but then we got the good stuff. my pho was gigantic. i ordered the big one because it was my intention to share but in the end, we didnt really share much! we both got kinda possessive about our dishes .. but i did try the vermicelli noodles and they were freaking delicious. the grilled pork was super tasty and tender, wow. that was some good stuff. my pho was rich and loaded with tender delicious meat. the broth and noodles were excellent and i cant wait to go back to pho hoa again. believe it or not, i finished the large bowl. i was amazed too. i could not walk afterwards. i literally had to chill for 20 minutes and when we got the check... the grand total was only 24$ whhhhaaattttssss?! phockin awesome yo!

Another Yelp suggestion that knocked it out of the park. Being a west coast guy and getting the great Vietnamese food in California I have high standards and this place fit the bill. The Pho had great flavor with very little fat in the broth and more than a generous portion of meat. We also had a salad with cabbage and shrimp that was very good. Will be returning to the area next week and will visit again....GREAT STOP

Based on Yelp reviews I visited the place and tried the Spring Roll n the Beef Pho which where both great. The staff was friendly but reserved. I menitoned it was my first time but nobody offered any help. The place was mainly full of Vietnamese folks which I found reassuring. The place itself appears clean but no much to speak off. Its my 2nd time eating Pho and I found it very tasty but I will try other local Vietnamese places for a better comparision. I paid $12 for the spring roll & the beef pho. I see myself eating there again.

I make it a point to go to this restaurant every other week. While I try to visit other Pho restaurants in South Florida, I find that I always end up coming back here. It's just damn tasty and possibly the best pho down here. It might be because Pho Hoa is a franchise restaurant-- you can find a PH in practically any large city-- and the bowl sizes are the same as well as the broth and ingredients. Maybe with some variance, but it seems all the same to me. The staff seem extra psyched to make flavored slushies with boba (tapioca balls) for you. My friends tell me the Honey Dew flavor is supposed to be good. Oh right, I always take my friends here to introduce them to Vietnamese cuisine. If they don't feel like noodly brothy goodness, then I suggest the Vermicelli with an assortment of vegetables and beef, shrimp, and pork (and an eggroll thrown in). Oh, and the beef/onion appetizer and cafe sua da are definitely should-gets. That's the extent of my recommendation, however. The fried rice and bo luc lac dishes are fine, the fish dishes are okay. But seriously, if you're going to a place called Pho Hoa, how can you order anything but Pho? It's like going to a steakhouse and ordering chicken tenders. If you want Vietnamese food minus the pho, I've got plenty of other recommended restaurants in South Florida. But you're here for the pho, so enjoy a huge bowl of it. Get the Pho Tai Nam for beginners. Squeeze in some lime juice, thrown in some pepper and whatever veggies you want (I like mine pretty bare). And don't forget the other sauces. If you're more adventurous, fortunately there's a nice graphic of all the different pieces of meat you can try with it. The restaurant is Vietnamese-owned. So they know their stuff. Vietnamese music will be playing in the background (often almost distinguishable covers of sappy American songs) so you know the place is authentic. Pay at the counter when you're done (even if you don't have the bill) and don't be afraid to flag service down if you need a refill.

They say that they are open until 10pm. In reality they lock their doors at 9:30pm. So you've just driven 20 miles to eat with them and arrive at 9:30? That's your problem, not theirs. They should advertise their closing time at 9:30pm, not 10:00pm.

This is the best Pho (pronounced 'Fah') I've had in South FL. If you don't know what Pho is, it's a Vietnamese rice noodle soup that comes in a huge bowl of broth mixed with whatever you want in there. I make mine spicy by adding a bit of Siracha chili sauce to it(Most people do). The patrons of this restaurant are most Vietnamese people, which is a good sign for authenticity. It's one of my favorite comfort foods that I've been eating for many years. It's especially good on a chilly day but we don't get too many of those here. This place is also a worldwide chain and i went to my first one in Tacoma, WA. It's not as good as Pho on the west coast but it hits the spot when I get a craving for it. It's also dirt cheap with very prompt service.

We just had pho here and it was delicious! They had a great variety of pho, different varieties of beef, seafood, chicken, pork, and even wonton in your pho! I got a beef combo and got the XL. I ate almost the whole bowl, it was so good! The menu has a lot to choose from and it is all Vietnamese. There were Koreans and Vietnamese eating here while we were eating and all commented how good the food was. This is my first time trying this restaurant, not my first time trying pho, and I would try another from the chain. It was clean and the waitstaff were attentive and nice.

I wouldn't consider myself a pho connoisseur but this is not the best that I have had locally. The two times i have eaten here have both resulted in a headache (msg?). There is a pho place just south of commercial on SR7 that has better atmosphere, friendlier service, headache-free pho, and better bobba tea (my favorite!) I don't remember the name of the good place but it is right next door to Silver Pond Restaurant. The only upside of this place is a better selection of beef pho if you care about that.

I grew up in Little Viet Town in Orlando, I know my Pho. So far, Pho Hoa is the only Pho restaurant I like. Their broth is the best in South Florida and they're generous with all of the Pho fixings. Still searching for the broth that takes me back to my childhood....

I love coming to this place. I had been here many times and the food is consistently very good. Definitely the best broth around town. The only problem is you have to know what you want because the waiter/waitress don't really like explaining the menu much (nor do they have the patience) and they like to take your order right away!

The one thing I will miss about living in Ft Lauderdale. Fresh ingredients, low prices and fantastic Vietnamese tunes playing on the TV. Pho Hoa is the place to go for Pho soup in South Florida.

WOW! This was my first time having pho and I loved it. The broth is sooooo delicious and no matter what you add everything becomes more delicious. I went there for the first time last week and did not have a problem with service, food, or location. They also have really interesting sodas, I tried the salty soda and it actually enhanced the flavor of the food, the lemonade soda was good as well. You get so much for such a good price, its definitely worth trying at least once.
