Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

How anyone didn't give this place 5 stars is insane!! Everything on the menu is hands down the best Italian food I have had in Florida. The food comes out fast , the staff is friendly and they have a drive thru pick up window. My fav place to eat in Madeira Beach.

I used to eat here all the time way back when they were in Seminole Mall. And the pizza has always been consistently good. It's a bit of a hike for me to get to their present location, so I don't go there too often. But if you're in the area, stop by and give them a try.

We ordered a large Hawaiian pizza. It was extremely runny and soggy and the toppings were mainly on one side, probably due to the sloshiness. We won't be visiting here again.

ordered buffalo chicken pizza and garlic knots from them last night. I'd give them 5 stars if I received my food hot. Picked it up in the 20 minutes they told me and my garlic knots looked as if they were cooked hours ago and my pizza was lukewarm. Sucks to have to warm your food when you get home, but it was delicious nontheless. ordered buffalo chicken pizza and it was warm again. not sure I'll give them a 3rd try. nothing like spending $20+ on an order and getting it cold twice.

they have the best Pasta sauce anywhere..Great meatballs...but..if you want something really spectacular...two things Eggplant Florentine Pepper & Egg Sandwich Nobody does it better..

This has become a regular lunch spot for me. The meatball parm sub is my favorite, but everything is fresh and delicious. Service is always friendly and the price is right. You have to check out this little family owned gem.

Good stuff! Pizzas are huge and filling. Great taste. Easy to p/u in drive through window.

One of the best lunches we have had. The knots are sooo good. Best italian food since my grandma died

Being from Jersey and just moving to the Tampa area recently, we'll drive all the way from Lutz just to eat here. It's hands down the closest slice I've found that reminds me of a good NY style (as they call it down here; I always thought everyone ate the same pizza as we did). FINALLY, a place that hand tosses dough and uses an actual pizza oven I can see. It was everything the wife and I had searched for down to the powdery grit left on your fingers after a bite of that folded piece. The crust had a nice crisp with that sweet fluffy inside. And there are no fear of bubbles here, they know it's just part of making a good pizza. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to know what real pizza is.

one of the worst dining experiences my family and i have had. the food was greasy and the service could have been done better by three year olds. the big beef lasagna had no pasta and had spinach and a well of grease covering the top. the childrens spagetti was barely warm. our meals were supposed to come with garlic knots but the server never brought them or bothered to check on our meal. the worst was when i brought up the dissatisfa tion the server looked at me like she gave a five star service. i will never waste my money on a place that serves food covered in grease and doesn't bother to try and make u0 for terrible aspects.

This place use to be on my regular rotation. This last time I went I was beyond disappointed. I ordered a pasta dish and my husband and kids ordered a pizza. When my salad came out it was completely brown - so disgusting and the server didn't even offer me a fresh one after I brought it to his attention. The worst however was finding a dead fly at the bottom of my garlic knots. At least the server was apologetic for that. Its really a shame because this place had good food. I hate to see it sliding in quality and service.

Fortunato's is excellent! Pizza was absolutely fantastic and service was great. Not much more can be said, as it's truly that straight forward. When it comes to New York style pizza, Fortunato's is as good as it gets!

best NY style pizza in the area! my husband and i have gone on journeys to find the best NY style pizza in the area and this is as good as it gets over here. we've never dined in but we pick up pizza from the drive-thru window all the time and the people are always friendly. we usually bring our dog to pick up and they've even noticed and commented "do you always bring your dog to get pizza?"....well, don't you!?

I'm a New Yorker here in Florida and this is some damn good pizza! I like mine with a thin crust and lots of cheese. They make it just right. The white pizza with spinach makes for something different sometimes. Fantastic!

I grew up on the Jersey shore, home of the best pizza on the planet. Fortunato's is on a par with the better boardwalk pizza joints up north. This is a "New York" style pizza: large, thin, lots of sauce and cheese, and lots of flavor! It all starts with the pizza dough, and these guys know how to do it right. Crispy but with just the right amount of chewiness. This pizza also makes a great cold breakfast the next morning! :-) (I have only gotten takeout so I can't review the restaurant side. All I can say is that all of the patrons seem to be smiling!)

Fortunato's is a great place to go when you just want honest to goodness good Italian food. The sauces they use are fresh and flavorful without being over-complicated. The prices are very reasonable, and there pizza is for the most part spot-on, occasionally being a little crisper than would be my personal preference, but is still delicious. The pasta dishes and homemade meatballs are always a hit with this Yelper's family!

Good New York Style Pizza. Thin crisp crust fired in a stone oven. Good tomato sauce with a good balance between tartness and sweetness. Cheese was not overly greasy and had a real mozzarella bite to it. Finished off with a little sprinkle of oregano, pepper, and basil herbs. I tried this Starkey Road location ( they have 3) because my usual local NY style pizza locations were all closed on a Sunday. (Sardos, Bella Italia), and I didn't want to drive down to Campanellas. I was impressed with the taste of their pie and will order again. I've also had their Margherita specialty pizza at the Tyrone Mall location and it was delicious as well. That pizza was done with sliced fresh mozzarella instead of shredded and good thick slices of ripe tomato and sprinkled with basil leaves.

I have always been a fan of the pizza. I wanted to try their non-traditional, possibly signature, cheesesteaks for lunch one day and got their Supreme and Italiano. Both are excellent variations with others like Pizza and Florentine, which I have never seen before. The supreme comes with mushrooms, bell peppers, onions and cheese and the Italiano with roasted peppers, sundried tomatoes, and cheese. Indeed, it's hard to mess a cheesesteak up, but these are some of the best around. The accompaning fries were good too. Definitely want to go back and try the others. Also heard the good things about the garlic knots and pasta!

Good service, nice people, greasy food.

I was disappointed at the pizza. Not very good. Quality of mozzarella was poor. Good service though.

Excellent Pizza. My rating should be 4 1/2 but I can't figure out how to do it. I was down for the long MLK weekend with my folks. Mom threw out Pizza Hut as a suggestion. I consulted Yelp! to see if we could upgrade that plan. I am rather picky when it comes to pizza. This place proved to be right on the money. Excellent quality pizza. Lots of cheese and ample toppings. Most importantly, the basic structure of the pizza, the balance of cheese, crust and sauce was a winner. Finally, the quality of the toppings was good. We bought one supreme and one pepperoni, so we got a good sampling. Especially appreciated by me was the decent quality sausage, a topping that lots of places tend to go cheap on. Bottom line, these folks know what they are doing pizza-wise. Two thumbs up!

Finally found authentic NY tasting Italian food. Great service and prices.

This place is right down the street from me. Me and my dad just absolutely loooove eating there all the time. They have the best Philly Cheese Steaks I've ever eaten and you can tell their pizzas are homemade. It's a great place when you want something good n simple.

My boyfriend and I just went there for pizza. We were going to order it to go, but when we got inside one of the waitresses said, "Take a seat wherever you'd like." The place was pretty cute, so we decided to dine in. First of all... they had Pepsi products (very happy about that). Like I said, we went there for pizza, but ended up ordering the garlic knots to start (heavenly), a philly steak supreme (which comes with REALLY good french fries), and a Greek salad. My boyfriend is picky, especially about his philly steaks and he loved this one. My salad was HUGE and delicious. They top the Greek salad with their own potato salad, and give you a little container of vinegar and oil. It was sooooo good. Two other tables asked the waitress what we'd ordered and then they ordered similar options. We could tell the pizza is good just by looking at it (other tables ordered pizza), so we'll definitely be going back for that VERY soon and taking friends!
