I love this place. Everything is good the specials the classics the seafood the steak the pork chops plantains empanadas I could go on but it great food and really well priced especially the meals they do with their roast chicken which is some of the best roast chicken I have ever had and the owner and staff are awesome and super accommodating

I like exploring when I travel so decided to give this place a try. Ordered the Bandeja paisa. Awesome plate, so much food and quite a bargain. The staff and owner were very friendly and helped me with the menu.

La Pollera Colorada is a new Colombian restaurant that opened near the border of Bradenton-Sarasota, across from the Sarasota Airport. After dining many times in Tampa, and learning more about the cuisine, Colombian food has become my new obsession. So, you can sympathize with the feeling of having to wait until a dine-in opportunity was available for the full Bandeja Paisa experience. The business appears to be mostly a catering business, with the specialty focus being on their roasted chicken--- hence the restaurant name. Since this is a chicken eatery, they also make excellent chicken soup, using the richly flavored chicken drippings. With the chicken, you can request a green or red aji sauce; made with garlic, hot peppers, and herbs. There are also fresh fruit juices made with either a water or milk base. I had the papaya, which tasted to be made with frozen pulp blended with water and ice. The roast chicken plate (complete with chicken soup "consommé") and the house Bandeja Paisa were both dishes that I tried. The steak, chicken, and soup were excellent. However, the chicharrón was extremely musky, and the smell was overwhelming. The sausage was also not that great, and the arepa was raw inside. I really hate to note this... but... I got really sick immediately after eating here. Like, I barely made it home in time. That experience is going to keep me from coming back, which is unfortunate because the food was decent tasting. I was very sad to see that they do not serve any baked goods, and the prices are fairly high on side items, appetizers, and empanadas. This girl is always craving some Colombian cheese bread.

Amazing food and drinks. The staff is friendly and get your order the way you want it. I came to this restaurant from NYC and it's the best columbian restaurant I've been to.

Food was very good, the owner was very friendly but not too friendly. They provided excellent service and a warm atmosphere. I had the grilled tongue and it was excellent. Side dish could have been a little larger for the price but all in everything was good.

Empanadas were awesome, tried the calf liver w/ plantains and it was cooked perfectly. Also, the owner gave us free flan which was homemade
