I've been coming here since they opened in 1994. Since I moved away from Sarasota It's a required Stop every time I visit. Great Pastrami and Corned beef. They use Boars Head meats and cheeses. Friendly service, clean deli. The Garlic Spread they put on some of their sandwiches is awesome. Great salads. Almost every time I go I order these two sandwiches. One to eat there and one to travel with. THE PAISANO Salami, Black forest Ham, Provolone Cheese, Tomato, Onion, Pepperoncini &. Garlic Spread on a Pressed Roll. The Paisano is one of my top 5 sandwiches (I order mine with double meat) THE TEXAN Tender Roast Beef, Swiss Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion &. Horseradish Sauce on an Onion Roll I usually never order roast beef sandwiches but I get one every time I come to the corkscrew. Some of the Best Deli Sandwiches in Sarasota!!

Corkscrew deli is a gem operating out of the landings strip mall. This place has been consistent for years. Fresh ingredients make all there sandwiches delectable and worth a try. While you're at the counter make sure to get a punch card for a future customer reward.

You do not live in NJ, NY, CT area without a regular visit to the local deli and now Sarasota has a deli worthy of the name. While there are daily specials and a good selection of sandwiches--Cuban, El Paso, Sicilian--my favorites are The New Yorker (hot pastrami and corned beef on rye) and The Dagwood. The people who run this place are very nice and after a few stops you will be acknowledged as a regular. Also available are large salads and fresh soup. Call ahead for pick up. Try once and you will be back.

Very delicious and fresh with fast service. I had the greek pita, it was very good and they did not skimp on the feta cheese at all. My fiance had the golden turkey sandwhich which was also very good. Definitely a good spot for a quick lunch.

A really small and busy Deli - closer to what you would expect from a traditional NYC deli. Very clean location - I gave an extra star for that alone. My favorite is the Paisano - but all their specialty sandwiches are delicious. Try one and you will never eat at Subway again - not that you should have in the first place!

I was hopeful but disappointed. The meats were fine, Boars Head is what it is, but the bread was that classic cheap spongey stuff. For $10 real bread seems only reasonable. People were nice and service was great, but a far cry from a NY deli.

Sometimes it's the simple and fresh ingredients that bring about the best flavors. If you're craving for traditional sandwiches, you can't go wrong with anything on this menu. Everything we ordered was super fresh and delightfully tasteful. The place is also very simple but nice seating outside on both entrances. Great place to pick up sandwiches and then head to beach for a picnic or just about anywhere. Service was fast too and people are super nice.

This is one of the best delis I have EVER been to. Every time you go in you can see the same four people diligently working on various outstanding signature sandwiches. The El Paso may be my favorite sandwich out there and the Paisano is also superb. This should serve as a shining example of how to run a great delicatessen.
