Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Family Italian with a great selection of beers. The Lasagna is delicious, while the service is a little laid back. It is what it is. Go for a beer and a pizza, don't expect gourmet food or service and you won't be disappointed. Don't forget the prices are reasonable.

I stopped by late afternoon for a quick slice and a Coke. The waitress asked me if I'd like any toppings. I said "Sure. Pepperoni. Thank you." She returns five minutes later with... a plain cheese slice. Mind you, she's the one who asked, and I'm the only customer in the place. I say "I thought you were going to bring me one with pepperoni." She says, "Uh... yeah... Sorry." She makes no offer to correct her mistake. The writing is on the wall. I just add some crushed red pepper. "Whatever!" seems to sum up the attitude here. The slice was fair: The crust was good. The sauce: I couldn't discern any flavor one way or the other. The cheese: it could definitely stand a quality upgrade, but it wasn't the worst I've ever been served. The crushed red pepper container was virtually empty -- and covered with filth. Probably hadn't been washed or refilled in months. Little things like this tip you off that the owners and staff are pretty much clueless. Since I was last at this place years ago, they have taken over an additional retail space and undergone an exceptionally cheesy remodel, as another reviewer pointed out. But in a stroke of genius, they moved the take out counter to a far distant back corner in the large space. Just meander through about 40 tables on your way. Brilliant! There is just ZERO atmosphere. In the additional space they have unveiled what they are calling "Tavern on Siesta Key," featuring -- surprise -- a pretty impressive 24 beers on tap. The problem is, the atmosphere is so cold and non-existent that I can't imagine anyone wanting to hang out there. And if the moribund surroundings weren't enough to keep people away in droves, they've seen fit to pipe in some really bad 50's music just to seal the deal. The perfect storm of unappealing. In this alternate universe -- where Gordon Ramsay hasn't been doling out free "ah-ha" moments for hapless restaurant owners for five years or so -- the downtrodden staff wanders around aimlessly, wondering where the business is.

We've had pizza at the N.J. boardwalk and this was so much better! Crust thin enough to be crisp but thick enough to have a little chewiness at the edge. Baked in the brick lined oven and not burned! Sauce had nice flavor without too much garlic. Thursday night special was a large one-topping for about $9.99 and had nice, big slices. Plenty for 2 adults.

This place sucked over charged us never brought out my food didn't have this or that server was out of it pizza ok but experience sucked

We ordered the Ceasar salad and calamari and paid $23 including tip for delivery. Salad was good but overpriced for what it was. Calamari was fishy tasting with an overly rubbery texture. We won't be ordering out from here again.

I ordered delivery and it got to me with time to spare! Pizza was great and the delivery man was very nice! Thank you, City Pizza!

Not sure why this place has such bad reviews; we loved it! I'm not a foodie, by any means, but growing up in Southern California, and traveling somewhat frequently, I think I've had my fair share of good--and bad--food. City Pizza did not disappoint. We had pepperoni pizza, meatballs, hot wings, and a calzone, and ALL of it was great. Our server, Nova, was sweet and attentive. I would recommend this restaurant and would definitely go back again.

The place was clean, and the staff was nice. It's conveniently located close to the condos we were staying at so that was nice. I had a slice of Sicilian and an order of garlic bread. My boyfriend has a calzone. While it was all tasty, I have had wayyyyy better.

This is my first yelp review. I never thought I'd have anything truly bad to say about a place until I tried City Pizza. I was told the take out pizza would be 25 minutes. After checking back multiple time at around 1 hour I was finally told the kitchen had not made my pizza. The young lady working said that the most the manager would refund me was 20%. I had hoped they once I got my pizza it would be good. I was wrong. It was bland. I've never had pizza with this little taste before. Even after the refund the pizza was $20. I'll not go back for dine in or take out. Just awful.

0 STARS.This restaurant was hands down the most unprofessional establishment I have ever encountered. My family and I spent 60$ on two pizzas , waited two hours for this order and they were delivered RAW. Although the manager was was willing to remake one pizza (wouldn't remake both although none had been eaten), we had a bad taste in our mouth and simply wanted our money back. The manager proceeded to suggest we either take the pizza or he was going to call the cops, we were clearly upset and he told us to " f*ck off were never getting our money back. He also allowed his back of the house employees (cooks) to come out and berate us. Like I said MOST UNPROFESSIONAL DISRESPECTFUL TRASHY STAFF I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED.

this place has been around for years and they make some really awesome pizza along with some great italian dishes. i'd recommend the chicken parm myself. i've had their seafood dishes before too and you can tell the seafood is super fresh. the owners are really friendly and keep the place really clean. city pizza is a must if you're on the key and you need your pizza fix.

Great pizza, great selection of beers and friendly staff. We walked into to get a take out pie to eat at our condo and stayed to have a few beers. Even got a free beer from the bartender while we waited for our pizza, which only took about 10 minutes,

I ate here once before and it was great! BUT this time we came in when they were only taking to go orders, which was fine. The problem came when I asked to substitute pepperoni for sausage on a pizza. That will cost you two dollars extra I was told. REALLY? Whatever happened to customer service? Then when we got our Ranch pizza that we switched to, it didn't have ranch on it! Won't be eating there again.

wow. This place has gone down hill big time. Snotty, disinterested staff and the pizza was gross. On previous trips to Siesta Key, this was a go-to place. not anymore.

Called to order pizza..Says delivery but the lady that answered said she doesn't have a driver right now. So I ordered and told her I would pick it up. Went out and my rental car is dead. Called and she said I could walk there to pick it up. Says it should only take 5 minutes. So I wait the 30 minutes and walk down there, and when I get there they only made the wings and didn't even make the pizzas. I walked out. Unbelievable.

being gluten free and vegan, I found the pasta entrees very accommodating while tasting simply amazing. the service was exceptional as well!

Great food, excellent selection of beers on draft, wonderful atmosphere. Will be back again.

We visited Siesta Key Beach and ate here one night with my 2 little ones, 4 nephews (all under 6 except 1 9yo), husband and mother/father-in-laws. They sat us right away as there weren't many people on a Thursday night. The service was slow but friendly. The food was really good but pricey. There were very little you can order as a dinner entree under $16. We ordered 3 pizzas: a small white, a medium meaty and a small black pearl. My mother-in-law had the grouper sandwich and I had the chicken francaise in a very light sauce which was delicious. We spent $200 including tip. I had to ask for a refill of water twice as our waiter didn't come back after bringing our food but he said he was new and there only 2 weeks when he was taking our order and we had questions he couldn't answer. I would recommend it if you have never been but be prepared to pay a bit more than you expect.

Pizza to go was easy and convenient. Service was nice. Pizza was good, not great - but good option after the beAch all day.
(4)Steven P.
The people at city pizza are great! I give them 6 stars for service and 4 for the pizza. The toppings and sauce were great, the crust a little boring. My wife and I showed up 2 minutes before closing, and they stayed open and made us a pie. Definitely worth the stop

Great place to get a craft beer...the selection is 15 or so beers - local breweries are well represented. The sicilian pizza was the best I've had in Florida. Family owned so you're supporting a local business. Was a little quiet for a Sunday night after the drum circle so I encourage you to go and support them. Prices were a little high, but the portions are generous so pack the leftovers in a "doggie bag" and enjoy a second time.

Went to Siesta Keys for a long weekend get-a-way with family and some friends. Now as we all know when you go away to a new place you either have good places or bad places to eat. Tourist traps to holes in the walls that are great finds. Pizza City sat on the fence with me. We had a new waitress who was doing her best. The food was okay for a vacation spot. Nothing I would say was bad but I have had better. This is coming from someone who lives in the Northeast and have a Northeast mentality on what Italian restaurant food should be. Price's were okay and the selection of wines and of craft beer on draft was fine. They have an IPA and I found that to be pleasing. I would go back but would not make this my first stop. Nothing wrong with being okay but not a fan so I am giving it a three, maybe (if) next time the food will wow me... Remember to always drink responsibly Crazy Cubano Out

We ordered our food ahead of time to be picked up. That was the best thing we did. Pizza and pasta was what we ordered. You would think that would be pretty good. As a New Yorker who have eaten a fair share of pizza. This pizza was very strange. The bottom of the crust was really crunchy but then you would have a soft doughy texture in the middle and sauce plus cheese on top. Too many other places to try wouldn't do this one again.

Let's start off by saying there were about 10 people in the entire restaurant. Our party of six, our waitress, a cook, and two or three red neck motor cyclers whom we will assume were the owners. The owners were sitting at a back booth chatting with the cook and once we ordered our meal the cook went into the kitchen and our meals came out one by one. Our waitress had to be asked about 5 times to ask the cook about moderations as she was very forgetful. We were there about 15 minutes before I got my glass of freakin water. Imagine how long it took for our beers. Again- she had to keep being asked/reminded. Also she was not knowledgable on the menu at all. Service lacked and we were the only customers in the place. Between our party of six we tried a few different salads, a pizza, a pasta dish, and a sub. It was all pretty good besides the pizza crust tasting a little bland. Also wish they had more than 3 choices for salad dressings. Kind of a shame how oblivious the owners were to the shitty & slow ass service- they were sitting RIGHT there. Also the bathrooms were grungy. That should have been a red light. Do they care about their business at all? Well ending on a good note they had a nice little fish tank with cute tropical fish.

City Pizza is a nice and friendly local pizza place that's focuses on their established relationships with the locals. While I've had better food elsewhere, it was nice to see the good service and relationships fostered at their establishment. They are currently renovating and expanding their place so business must be good enough to do so. I wish them well in their expansion and continued business.
(3)Doug M.
We had a large vegetarian pizza the toppings were great but the crust was very bland.
(2)Jeremy H.
The pizza is average at best. Ordered a standard pepperoni pizza and asked for it crispy or well done. They told me they had a thin crust which I prefer. Pizza came out soggy, undercooked and uncut. When i asked if they would mind cutting the pizza the waitress just said the new guy is back there today. Ordered a Dales Pale Ale and it was obvious I was the first person to have that beer in a while because it was totally stale. Lines probably need to be cleaned going to that keg. That was a waste of money. I think Siesta Key restaurants seem to be turning out average to below average food for an expensive price because its a tourist destination so they must feel they don't need to try as new customers arrive every day.

Perfect for what it is...a little pizza shop by the beach. Is it the best pizza I've ever had?, no. But did it hit the spot?, yes! I like that you can sit in the A/C and grab a quick bite while trying to get out of the sun for a bit. Definitely worth a try. (We got their pepperoni slice and a coke)

Have been going to SKB for years and at some point on vacation we always end up here. We went with carry out yesterday. The girl on the phone was young and pleasant, but obviously hurried. She said our order would be ready in about 30minutes. We arrived 40 minutes later and had to wait an additional 15 minutes. Older woman at counter was overwhelmed and very disorganized. Restaurant was packed and folks waiting out the door (Saturday is move in day on SKB so busy is expected here). They obviously redid the interior of the restaurant since last year and it looks nice. We got our food and doubled checked order before we left to find a salad missing. Pizza was excellent as it always is. Ziti with marinara was plain Jane. The Philly cheesesteak could have been so much better, but it was disappointing. Burgers for the kids were adequate. A little front of the house organization and a little more attention to detail could make this location so much better.
(2)Thomas C.
Walked in to order some food for carry out. Waited entirely too long for pizza that appeared to be sitting out all day. Cheese was dry, crust was hard and sauce had that dried look and feel. Also ordered a philly cheesesteak and a burger, oops! The whole cheesesteak was a disaster; very soggy bread, dry meat and little peppers and onions. The burger had an off flavor, didn't even get eaten. Another note, the two people I dealt with in this process were rude, definitely not the type of people to be working in the hospitality or service industry.
(1)Ashlynn R.
Pizza was solid. Service was weird. Price was mediocre. Not terribly bad for pizza.
(3)David S.
We ordered calzone, baked ziti, and chicken parm. The calzone was chewy, the baked ziti had very little sauce and what looked like a slice of mozzarella cheese, the ziti was dry. The chicken parm had no sauce on the pasta and once again a slice of cheese. Unless you are stranded on the island go over the bridge and eat some good Italian food!
(1)Lisa J.
Thought the pizza was great!! Service left a little to be desired. There was a constant line for take out and we got there about 8 pm.
(4)Aaron B.
We were .2 miles from the restaurant and it took over an hour to get our delivery. The calzones had way too much ricotta cheese and hardly no mozzarella. Not enough for repeat business.
(2)Andrew K.
I had the best stuffed pizza ever here. No Joke...it is amazing!!!!!! It had tons of meat and veggies and tons of ricotta cheese. Not too much sauce, but just ask for a bunch on the side. That's what aunt judy does. Ughgh, I wish that I was having a piece right now. The antipasto salad and salad dressing was amazing as well. Never did me wrong.
(5)Steven H.
Serves a range of basic Itallain fare, including (of course) spaghetti. Access to outdoor seating is nice.
(3)Andrew R.
We ordered a pizza to take out, we waited a long time and were disappointed. The "pizza" was burned black on the bottem and was uneatible. If your looking for good pizza go else where!
(1)Kurt P.
City pizza was a scarry place. This place needs Robert Ervine. The place smelled old and musty and looked like it smelled. My menu was dirty and had actual mold on the paper. After a discussion with my wife we decided not to risk our health and left before ordering so I honestly cant review the food. If you want to risk it then go for it.
(1)Ben C.
Some of the worst pizza ever, and I never even got it! Been waiting over an hour and a half for delivery less then 2 miles away. After 3 calls its still lost, and excuses are piling up but that's about it... Final call almost 2 hours after order, the rude "manager" still saying the driver is just around the corner, like he was an hour ago. The manager then still offers to deliver it, but has yet to even say he was sorry or offer any type of compensation even though the pizza has now been in the car for over an hour, gross! I said no thanks, and got a lice from 7-Eleven, oh thank heaven!
(1)Charlie B.
Old-fashioned pizza, but not in a good way: thick, doughy, tasteless crust. Pasta is a better choice here. Waitresses cultivate a wise-cracking seen-em-all friendliness that some will find charming and others will find rude. I kind of like this place, but if there was a better alternative on Siesta Key for red-sauce Italian I would defect in an instant.
