High Cholesterol at Whataburger

Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. Well, you can always try the Lighter & Smaller options from the menu to cut down your fat intake. Opting for grilled sandwich or burgers are preferred compared to double meat or triple meat cheesy burgers which contain high cholesterol.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for High Cholesterol

Cut down on your meat intake to control your high cholesterol. You must skip Double Meat Whataburger and Triple Meat Whataburger at all costs. Sweat & Spicy Bacon Burger will add extra 1080 calories in your diet so skip that as well. Whatacatch Dinner may sound tempting but the famous fish sandwich is also full of calories and unhealthy fat. Lastly, avoid French Fries and Onion Rings at Whataburger if you are already ordering a burger or any other heavy meal.

The food is so good, the main dishes country French and freshly made, simple. The deserts are also freshly made and amazing. Wine selection is good enough to enhance whatever dining selection you choose.

We went to Burns Court Cafe two weeks ago to listen to Renesito Avich (Cuban musician) play and thoroughly enjoyed it. There was great Cuban music, dancing, and good food. If you plan on going Tuesday nights, definitely make a reservation and get there a bit before 7 pm!

Great little breakfast or lunch place. Not your typical chain store. Lots of charm and ambiance. Indoor and outdoor seating.

We have been coming to BCC since it opened and come here as often as we can :-) We tried the new restaurant just recently and were delighted that it's as good as ever... the Mahi dish was absolutely delicious and the wine selections are fabulous for a small restaurant.... we find the prices to be very fair too.... Arieh is experimenting with different foods/flavors and it's all good - we will be back! :-) Definitely worth checking out for lunch and dinner! Great to see this small cafe thriving....

This little French cafe is a gem in the heart of downtown Sarasota. One may pass it by on a daily basis, given its inconspicuous location. But one stop is all it takes. Allow me to explain. Burns Court Cafe is located in downtown Sarasota in the corner of a little row of stores. The setup is simple yet effective. There is outdoors seating with umbrellas and mist fans, perhaps 4 or 5 tables out there, and an additional 15 or so seats inside. Upon entering, you will notice the glass display of various pies, cakes, and quiches on the right and a row of window seats to the left. The cashier is adjacent to the display case. The decor is fairly simple, with rustic looking walls and paintings from various genres. The menu is mainly soups, sandwiches, and quiches, with a few select desserts. I had the cold roast beef sandwich with spinach on pumpernickel, served with a side salad of mixed greens, a goat cheese, spinach, and pepper quiche slice, and a mixed vegetable juice. The food was quite delicious. Very fresh and crisp greens and the quiche is probably the most delicious I've ever had. My only complaint is the small portions... I'll only knock 1/2 star off for that. The way this works is you look at the menu, go to the counter and order, pay, and take a seat with a number. A waitress will bring the food and drinks out to your table. She will also do refills as well. Overall a very nice place that is different from most other places I've been to recently. It was a nice change of pace. Very good food, friendly staff. I'll be back to try their other offerings. Review is for 3.5 stars.

Everything homemade including the bread. Veggies Sandwich with avacado, artichoke, goat cheese, tomatoes, baby greens and olive tapanada spread. Yummo! Cute place. Fantastic location.....and a 50% off yelp deal.

This place is a must if you're visiting the Sarasota area. No one can top this place when it comes to dishing out the lightest, and fluffiest quiche with a perfectly done pie crust. BEST QUICHE I'VE EVER HAD! On top of that, Burns Court has a fantastic chocolate croissant, and killer desserts, especially the blackberry tarte. With great service, a cozy and sunny atmosphere, and great all around Parisian food to boot, this is THE place to get your French food around Sarasota, FL!

Everything was amazing! Even for my picky European taste buds! Most light, airy quiche I have ever had. The Nutella crepe was perfect. Great service. Very nice owners.

Was my first time in and was guided through the menu and specials by a very nice and beautiful lady at the register!! Had a spinach and feta quiche and and vanilla latte frappe. What a great start to the day!! Thank you burns court staff! I will definitely be seeing you again!!!

Quality food and great service. I have been here the past couple of days using their free WiFi and enjoying wonderfully made lattes. Their selection of food is excellent and I really enjoyed their jazz night. Highly recommend over Starbucks.

The food was excellent. The atmosphere is delightful. The process of ordering and being correctly charged was not and I advise future diners to be wary. When presented with the total when ordering at the counter, it felt a few dollars too high. The woman at the counter indicated that she entered in the code to the register for what I had ordered and gave me the receipt containing the details. I challenged some of the numbers and she indicated that she just entered the codes that they use. I stepped aside for my dining companion to order, but examined the receipt against their printed menu. The base price of my omelette was higher than the menu price and two of the three extra ingredients - menu priced at $1.00 each - were added in at $2.75 and $1.15, respecitvely. In total, I was overcharged by $2.50. I again challenged the amount I paid and showed the woman the receipt compared to their actual menu prices. She agreed that I was overcharged and gave me $2.50 back but seemed to cover it up when the owner came out of the kitchen. The vibe was odd - as if this was a regular thing only rectified when challenged. Enjoy but ask for a receipt and check your order.

The food here is amazing and the service is friendly! Everything tastes so fresh and the flavors are perfectly combined for an array of delectable dishes. I can personally recommend the Turkey Brie and the Fresh Veggie Sandwich. The desserts are nothing to scoff at either, with the Cheese & Guava Mousse coming in first place. Definitely worth a try!

  • Heather D.

Really delicious! I loved it! We had the goat cheese, pepper and spinach quiche. It came with a dressed side salad. This restaurant is small and quaint, and lots of interesting art to look at on the walls. Would definitely return.

A great little place to sit back and enjoy life. Finally had a chance to eat her instead of just having a cappuccino. Actually I had that today too, but the goat cheese and spinach quiche was flavorful and yummy. Served with a great salad it really hit the spot for a late afternoon lunch. They are serving wine and dinners now, so I'll be back to check that out. Plus I have my eye on the caprese sandwich. With it being nice outside now, trap a table on the side walk and enjoy the good life.

Rarely give a five but this comes so close. We stopped in for our happy hour and were given our own wine tour. It's a simple place and we enjoyed good wine and gracious host (so nice to see people that love what they do-you don't often find passion like this). Can't wait to go back and try some of the food (this is a place where you want to experiment).

Horrible! Overpriced! Not fresh, not made to order. Warm juice, bad iced tea, and parochial wine list. The topper....terrible customer service. By far the last place you should go in Sarasota.

  • Jessica A.

Found this place on yelp and stopped in for lunch. Had an amazing experience. Everything is house made- even the delicious bread the sandwiches are on. We had paninis, wine, coffee and key lime mousse, all of which were incredible. The latte tastes like a real European latte and the generous pour of wine was also delicious. The owners are friendly and kind. They bring the food to you and it was very quick. Tempted to move to Sarasota just so we can eat here more often.

  • Emily A.

Super cute place but my latee tasted like it only had a splash of coffee in it. It tasted more like something you pour into coffee... Like creamer or flavor shot.

How can a restaurant with excellent food deserve a two star rating? Really terrible service. Now most poor service is an error of omission; incompetence or indifference or a lack of training. The service at the Cafe is all of that, plus arrogance. It actually starts before you enter. There's a sign on the front door instructing you to place your order at the counter. (Shades of Seinfeld's Soup Nazi.) My wife and I enter and peruse the pastry at the counter while two women behind the counter are engrossed in conversation with their backs to us. No one approaches us. When we decide what we want my wife says, "Excuse me...". One of the women wheels around scowling at our temerity for interrupting her conversation and says, "Sit anywhere you like and he'll take your order" gesturing behind us. We turn to see a waiter standing directly behind us, who looks up from writing in his pad, makes eye contact, says nothing, and walks away. We sit down at a high top table near the bar in the back of the dining room. The waiter hands us menus and leans against the bar writing in his pad less than three feet from me. We decide what we want. He's still writing, not looking up. I say, We'll have two cappuccinos......" and he says, "I'm not your waiter, she is", gesturing to a young woman taking an order at another table. She takes our order and we wait 15 minutes for two cappuccinos and one slice of cheesecake. So you're thinking, "OK fine, every restaurant has a bad day. If the food is good it's worth a second chance". Right. This was the second chance. The first time we were there, that time for lunch, we received a similarly impolite greeting and waited 25 minutes for our order of a Caprese sandwich and an eggplant sandwich. We were given a Caprese salad and a green salad and an explanation that the chef was half an hour late for work and everything's all backed up. The food is good. Who cares. It's not worth the aggravation. We're never going back.

Pastries, quiche and coffee. Not bad if that's what you're looking for. I like the outdoor seating right on the sidewalk in downtown Sarasota in November. The service was slow because there is only one person working Tuesday morning and the place was jammed. I didn't eat but my friend did and she really enjoyed her quiche.

    (4)
  • Maggie L.

Insanely good!! I have never been disappointed here. Great food AND coffee is hard to find here in Sarasota. Perfect french food. The portions are smaller and the prices are a little higher, but it is quality and they really understand food and flavors and care about your experience, so I don't mind paying the premium. Excellent overall!

J'adore ma petit café! One of my favorite places for cappuccino and a friend. A very European lunch - fresh and light. As well, a wonderful wine bar. Saturday nights there is entertainment to set the mood.

    (5)
  • Gail L.

Enjoyed a European setting on the outside seating while we enjoyed a glass of wine and a nice lunch. The quiche and salad were perfectly prepared and my husband had the foie gras, which was creamy and delicious- I had to sample some. See photos we up loaded.

A cute little cafe in Burns Court. I had the quiche, which was fantastic. It was a caprese quiche and my friend had a mushroom one that she loved. The fruit and yogurt granola was fresh and a generous portion. You just have to keep an eye on the window to see when your food is up and they want you to put your plates away in the bucket on the way out.

Great spot for a healthy, delicious lunch! Four of us went and the two charming baristas made our lunch perfect. Order at the counter and they bring to your table and clear dishes after. We had spinach & goat cheese quiche, 2 quiche Lorraine and a pressed sandwich, all with spring mix salad. Fresh squeezed juice, cappuchino, chocolate mousse, 2 gelattos and 2 croissants to go. All freshly prepared and very tasty. About $60 including a well-deserved donation to their tip jar. The owner is French, which explains the yummy quiches and pastries!

Looking for authentic European style sandwiches? Look no more as the sandwiches here are the real deal! Everything is made here and it's delicious! Don't miss their fantastic homemade desserts as well!

Went back for the evening of live Jazz. The place was standing room only. Evidently, they do this every second and forth Friday from 7 to 9 PM. It was well worth it, the food/drink was consistently excellent and everyone enjoyed themselves. Planning to do it again.

Hands down, the very best cafe in Sarasota. I had wanted to keep this place a secret for myself but Cynthia and Arieh have done such a great job, they deserve to be recognized for creating one of my favorite places in Sarasota. Homemade quiche and croissants are the best I've had anywhere and this is currently the only place in town for consistently great espresso.

I like this cafe. The owners are a really nice couple and the other day we had a delicous sandwich and the owner gave us a free pastry for dessert. Love this little french cafe. Wish I could buy the little painting of the Eiffel tower hanging on the wall!

Found this place on Yelp, and the offer of $10 for $5 was too good to pass up. I had the vegetarian hot sandwich and the 5 Veggie Juice, both were fantastic. The juice was a great deal. The owner was really nice, and the location is great. I highly recommend it for lunch! I'm not from the area but would highly recommend the place and would be back if I return!

  • Joel P.

Addicted to that juice! 3 stars because they really do everything pretty well. It is very comfortable inside, nice menu with a great selection, and their baked goods are very fresh. My only grudge is a serious one at that! For my double shot they used a single shot head. You can't water down a gin on the rocks and not expect an drunk to notice, so why mess with someones coffee. They should loose two stars because thats a slap in the face, but they do everything else so well I couldn't see really justifying 3 stars. The coffee is consistent otherwise and the attitude you get when you stop in is better than you will find downtown at any other shop if you are on the run.

Would totally recommend for anyone looking for a quaint little coffee shop and light food. Nice little order and sit place. I shared the mushroom quiche and the bacon onion quiche and both were excellent. I also ordered the turkey swiss croissant sandwhich, which was also good. If I lived down here I'd definitely be a frequent visitor.

Great, real deal croissants. The staff was super friendly and the Internet was easy to access. I didn't try any Lu ch items, but the salads looked delicious. The ambiance was so so: just simple neighborhood cafe with seating outside.

Gabriel and I stopped in for lunch today when we did a quick search on yelp.com and found a $5 for $10 deal. We arrived and saw a lovely case full of fresh sandwiches on baguette, quiches, pastries and other yummy looking treats. The friendly woman working there gave us some advice and time to look at the menus. There were lots of appealing sounding salads but I decided on a Caprese baguette ( mozzarella, tomato, basil, olive tamponade, pesto, ciabatta) that came with a side salad. Gabriel ordered the Quiche Lorraine (delicious) with a side salad. He also got a chocolate/banana/prune shake that tasted a million times better than it sounded to me. We actually decided to buy some prunes to use in our at-home smoothies because they added so much healthy sweetness. We chatted a bit with the owner who is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area. She clearly takes a lot of pride in her business and it shows. We went to sit at a table and she brought our food and ice water over to us quickly. Our lunches were awesome. I gobbled up my sandwich SO fast. The fresh bread it was on was SO wonderful. It had a nice bite to it- crisp outside with a doughy interior. I also really enjoyed the fresh dressing on the side salad. It's amazing what a difference a good quality olive oil and vinegar make to some mesclun leaves and tomatoes. Overall, this is a great cafe to stop into for lunch or some great coffee. I know that I will definitely be back- and if it's not quite so hot outside next time, you'll probably find me sitting at one of the cute sidewalk tables. Thanks Burns Court Cafe! Well done! Next time, croissants! (They looked SOOOOO good)

Coming in to the restaurant it is confusing as to what you're supposed to do. After we sat for a few minutes, someone behind the counter finally told us we order at the counter and then pick up at the counter. I had the Caprese sandwich on marble bread and my mother had the quiche. We were both happy with our food and would try again. Reasonably priced too!

Excellent European style cafe. Fresh food in just the right serving size. Good prices, a real value. And that's hard to find with all of the crap food available in town.

  • Guitar H.

I love this place!!!!! Adorable little European cafe with tons of delicious food like homemade quiches and chocolate croissants. The owners and staff are super friendly, and the cafe's vibe is upbeat yet relaxing too. This is a great little place to grab breakfast or lunch and a quick espresso or dessert.

Really nice owners and awesome location. The quiche is fantastic and full of flavor. It truly is a perfect lunch spot. There is not much to say about the place because it's pretty simple but it is good.

  • Jude R.

This is the friendliest place in town, run by an irresistibly charming couple who are supported by an equally lovely staff. The quiche is the star in a menu of consistently good offerings and the coffee is the best in Sarasota. And if this wasn't enough, Cynthia (born in Paris, raised in Lima) and Arieh (born and raised in Israel) take the European view of a cafe as a gathering place for discussion and general conviviality. As such, they display the work of one artist on their walls each month, have the best live jazz in town every other Friday evening, and host a monthly Literature Salon open to the public. And the cafe occupies a great corner location in the quaint Burns Court area. Come one, come all!

Everything I've had is super delicious, attractively presented and fresh. Great casual but stylish cafe feel, reasonably priced, lovely owners. One of my favorite spots to unwind and treat myself in Sarasota.

This is a delightful little cafe run by nice people. Their cappuchino is the best I've had in years and the house-made croissant is crispy and tasty. You'll feel transported to Europe and your tastebuds will be happy. The quiche looked fresh and delicious... next time. This is the kind of place you feel good about frequenting and I hope they are a big success!
