I would have to say O'Bistro is hit or miss. My first time going to the restaurant I ordered soup and crab cakes. The soup was delicious and the crab cakes were horrible. They didn't taste like crab or any other kind of seafood for that matter. I went in April 2013 and the food was great! I ordered pecan crusted chicken and it comes with mac and cheese with andouille sausage. The chicken didn't taste like pecans but it was still good. The mac and cheese was amazing! Oh and my waitress was phenomenal. I would go again but I am definitely sticking to what I know when it comes to ordering.

The best lunch place in this area. We are from San Francisco and tried different places for lunch every day. Today's is our 6 day @ Treasure Island. This is the best place to have healthy Awesome meal!!!

Just had a nice lunch here. The greeter was surprised that we wanted to sit in the dining room and not the bar.. it was noon! The food was wonderful as always. The server was good, not the best I have had here. My guest enjoyed his food as did I. I highly recommend this restaurant for the food and service. Today's slower than usual service was not a problem. maybe I have been spoiled over the years. My friend had the hamburger. The meat was hormone free. I had the Southwest Turkey Wrap which was good. The wrap needed more aioli sauce. The second half came home for dinner! The eggplant fries were amazing.

Living nearby this restaurant, it pains me that I have not visited sooner. For I would have been enjoying food so yummy. My first visit was for lunch....a wonderful turkey wrap with curry chicken soup....I was wowed. The service staff was so polite and welcoming.... We went back for dinner a week later for date night....and the results were the same. Great food, great service. The place is so clean and modern inside its really a treat to just sit and relax while enjoying your meal....so nice. I have not been able to sit at their bar (a smaller but nice martini bar), but will do so soon. We did enjoy some martinis while at dinner and they were fantastic. All in all, a great food experience - You've made it on my short list O'Bistro....congrats.

I stumbled onto this place when I used to live in Pinellas. I had heard some rumblings about it, but couldn't imagine that something in a strip mall would be good. I've been there for breakfast and lunch and can tell you that the O'gratin grits are cheesy, creamy and delicious. The grilled cheese and ham sandwich with tomato bisque is the perfect cure to any rainy day and anywhere that has an artichoke and hearts of palm salad on the menu is a blessing in my book. They have good options for vegetarians and meat eaters, plus I am pleased that they have hormone, antibiotic, and preservative free meat. Don't let the exterior fool you...inside you will find a nicely decorated restaurant with comfy booths, friendly waiters, and good food.

I've sampled their Mediterranean party platters at different events in Tampa Bay and heard a lot of great things about their food, so it seemed like the perfect opportunity to test it out one day for a lunch break at work. The portobello burger was a hearty looking burger! Although I live a plant based lifestyle, I ate meat for like 20 years of my life so I can appreciate a good burger and steak and absolutely love when restaurants recognize that just because I don't like to eat meat, doesn't mean that I just want a piece of lettuce for lunch. This is a hearty burger with the perfect side salad topped with classic, light dressing. I honestly have not had a burger this good in a really really long time; it had sprouts (which i took from my salad and put on the burger :) ), lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup and mustard (my fave burger accompaniments) and although it sounds like a small thing to have a really juicy burger for most people, it's no small thing for a vegan. Many times people just think we don't eat, but I am thankful to O'Bistro because of this burger and definitely recommend it. Whether you're traveling or a local, this is a good place for Mediterranean inspired food with great prices and quick service so you can get back to the office.

The best turkey burger I have ever eaten! Awesome spinach pie. Nice atmosphere. Very attentive staff. Thank you for an awesome lunch.

Whoa, this place is so good! I've only been here about 3 times, but I've never been disappointed in anything. Atmosphere is great, service is outstanding and the food is incredible. My favorite is the Chicken, Portobello and Provolone Panini (with roasted red pepper and balsamic vinaigrette) and a side house salad with their homemade dressing. The lunch mix and match is the way to go...get 2 of a number of selected menu items for only $7.95.

Started our Saturday morning with Eggs Benedict. We tried the Mediterranean and look forward to our next visit to try another. The eggs were poached perfectly, the service was pleasant and all of our needs were met. I applaud the effort to offer meats that are free from hormones and antibiotics. P.S. This is also a martini bar!

I discovered a new restaurant in St. Pete today thanks my good friend Callie. She's moving to the Venice area sometime in the next month and has a goal of eating at all her favorite St. Pete restaurants just one last time before she moves. O Bistro was at the top of her list! :) It's a favorite local spot that I'd only recently heard of and had been meaning to try. Callie told me to trust her - this place was good. And she wasn't kidding, everything from the attentive service, to the smiling happy customers, to the delicious food was amazing. The menu was full of classic sandwiches and salads with a twist and all of the food that I passed on the way to the table had my stomach growling. Everything looked and sounded great. Callie insisted that the eggplant fries were top notch. She ordered a side for us to share. Fried eggplant is hard to do right since the vegetable tends to soak up the oil, but these were perfect. The battered deep-fried eggplant was strangely light and not greasy at all. They were also addicting, it was hard to just stop at one. I ordered the Artichoke and Palm salad, which looked deceivingly small and was surprisingly filling. It was more toppings than mixed greens, which made for a heartier, filling salad. I loved the ultra-thin sliced red onion and the blue cheese. Those two totally made the salad. We finished our meal with a shared piece of O Bistro's famous carrot cake. According to Callie, this cake is legendary. It's really not hard to persuade me to split a slice of carrot cake - it's easily one of my favorite desserts. This carrot cake was moist and spicy. I especially enjoyed the super thick cream cheese frosting. It's the kind of icing where all you need is just a tiny taste to satisfy that sugar craving. The slice was huge. Callie and I each ate a 1/3 of it and boxed the last 1/3 to take home. It's currently sitting in my fridge waiting to be devoured tomorrow. It's such a shame that my fiance doesn't like carrot cake - I guess the leftovers are all mine. ;) Too bad O Bistro is so far from where I live, it's a great lunch spot and the breakfast menu shows promise. I would definitely recommend checking it out (and ordering the carrot cake) if you're in the area.

O Bistro's food is delicious the best part is the crispy waffle fries. You can sit near the bar and watch TV while you eat. Highly recommended. There's something for everyone here. The breakfast menu is great!

Came for lunch on a Saturday and place was somewhat busy. Hostess said there were no tables and we'd have to wait in a tone that made us feel like we didn't want us there. We didn't mind waiting and literally 2 min later had a table where in a strange tone again she said we should be very patient. Server was nice, but had way too many tables which negatively impacted service. Ordered New England seafood chowder which was awful, had no seafood, and looked like a cup of hot oil. We sent it back and even server said it didn't look right. Had a salmon sandwich which was decent, but lacked any spice/flavor. Also had an average omelette with a side of way to creamy au grating potatoes. We know many people who say they like this place, but based on our experience we won't return.

I love o'bistro. I usually go for lunch. Their tuna is so so good not to forget eggplant fries. The best. The service is great too
(5)Cricket L.
This establishment is a big supporter of local professional theatre, and when it was advertised at a show, I went. It was great. I had the eggplant fries (phenomenal, but eat them while they're hot) and the fantastic lamb burger. They feature all-natural meat -- something I always appreciate. The bar has a good (but not excellent) selection. The service was very friendly, and my party (8+ people) had a great time.
(5)Stephanie S.
Great food and great staff!!! love the bar tender, her name is Katie go there and tell her Stephanie Sovik sent you and you will get a great surprise
(5)Juliet D.
Here's the wonderful thing about O's: Elegant, inspired cuisine and atmosphere at reasonable prices in a super convenient location. You don't have to go downtown and worry about parking to get this level of excellence. Nice for a casual lunch or dinner date. A quiet, scrumptious getaway. The food for this level of restaurant and price is a 5, even though it would not compete with, say, a 5-star restaurant with much pricier fare and swankier digs.

Great food, good drinks & better people serving....! Well prepared food from an excellent menu...!

While sitting at the bar of 400 beach on Saturday night my girlfriend and I met a gentleman who we were wound up having a nice chat with. As part of the discussion we told that we were new to town and he gave several restaurant recommendations. While running some errands on Sunday we came across O Bistro and remembering it was one of his recommendations we stopped in for some lunch. Sitting at the bar we met another nice couple and had a nice chat with the bartender as well. Based on the recommendation of the bartender I ordered their prime rib sandwich. Wow! What a sandwich. What a recommendation. My girlfriend had a chicken sandwich of some type which also was very good, although not quite like the prime rib. It over shadowed everything. This place has definitely shot to the upper echelon of the local places that we like and will definitely will be back.

This restaurant has the best food and the service is very good! The menu has a wide variety of tasty dishes to choose from! I recommend this restaurant to all my friends and family!

First, I want to say that I like O'Bistro. The food has always been good, and the service has been OK, as well. I've been here for breakfast and lunch many times. I usually order the potato pancakes or the French toast for breakfast, and their quiche and eggplant fries have never disappointed me. However, O'Bistro is in dire need of an update! St Pete is a growing haven for trendy restaurants with appealing decor and ambiance. I can't remember the last time I was in a restaurant that has carpeting throughout the main dining area, gross. A world of difference could be made with a few aesthetic changes. I'd also like to touch base on the service, it is OK; the staff is nice, but the entire team is definitely lacking on attention to detail. While I was there these are some of things that went on around me and at my own table: dishes not being prepped as asked, like bacon coming on the side of an omelet instead of being cooked into it; no olives in a Bloody Mary, which is listed on menu as part of the drink; cream cheese was brought with potato pancakes instead of sour cream; and a server spilt an entire drink on someone at another table. I will continue dining here, but the overall experience has become sad and a little depressing, because I know the food is good and what this place was like before.

So we went in for late night bevys and it was wonderful. Chrissy was great. She was very friendly and made the best espresso martini that I have ever had. Love to support local and and have great businesses in the area!

Celebrated my birthday here and it was pretty awesome. Pretty much all my immediate family was there, including my picky mom to please (she always has several requests and high expectations)..they managed to do well with that and handling us as a large table, which is an accomplishment in itself..kudos to them! This review dates back to about half a year ago so I definitely want to return to see if my new experience is comparable. I liked the decor, the attentiveness of the service, the atmosphere (relaxed and family oriented) and of course the food was great too. I want to return so I can post more details on the food too! Updated review...coming up!

Call me parsimonious but paying over $40 bucks for an ok lunch for two is kinda much. Ice tea is $2.50, side of tater salad $5.50!!!! I wont be back.
(2)Erin J.
O I do love the O Bistro. The menu is eclectic and it's difficult to decide what to order since everything is so tantalizing. Staff is attentive and knowledgeable about the food. Highly recommend the short rib patty melt, lamb burger and my favorite the sirloin steak and Brie.
(5)Sean T.
Visited twice. Once for breakfast. Once for lunch. That was two times too many. For breakfast, I tried their crab cake eggs Benedict. Mistake. Eggs Benedict is a triumph in flavor balance. And, in a traditional preparation, the Canadian bacon provides just the right contrast of texture and saltiness. Replace that with an over-fried crab patty and the dish is overpowered with the taste of everything ever cooked in their fry oil (And Florida...please stop pushing your religion on me. I'm a big boy now and if I want a mimosa before 11 am, that's my business, not the government's.) For lunch, I asked them to recommend their most popular burger. The server suggested the lamb burger. Baaaaaaad idea. A burger needs fat (fat=flavor). The lamb burger was lean (hence dry). The service was fine (for a Denny's). The atmosphere was comfortable and modern.

Delicious brunch, lunch, and dinner! Try anything on this menu and you won't be disappointed. On my most recent visit, I had some short rib deliciousness and zucchini fries. YUM! My friend had a steak and green beans. I don't even like green beans and I happily ate them! The service staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and willing to honor special requests.
(5)John C.
Excellent. Food is great. Service is also very good. Ambience is quite good for being in a shopping center and in concert with the menu and prices. I came with my two sons and everyone loved their food. In total we had the Mediterranean omelet which was amazing, and the pecan omelet, a two egg breakfast and a side of au gratin potatoes.
(5)Kelleigh M.
I think this place is ok, or maybe it was what I ordered. I had the pecan crusted chicken atop a salad. Honestly I didn't taste any pecans, but it was definitely a nicely fried piece if chicken. Now the mustard dressing was good, it kind of reminded me of Outback's honey mustard dressing. Would I return? Sure. Will I order the same? Nope. For $14 for a salad I expected a whole lot more.

Live bug in my food! And all the waiter did was laugh. Finally got the bartender to come to our table 15 minutes after discovering the bug and asking to speak to a manager. There was no manager on that night (Tuesday, so it was slow) and she took off my salad and gave us a free glass of wine. In my opinion the entire meal should have been complimentary, or she could have given us a gift certificate to come back. We still spent $60 so it's not like I only ordered the salad. I will never go back, which is a shame because the food was quite good.

One of the best breakfast places in the area. Eggs Benedict Mediterranean omelet is AWESOME. I first started this review over 6 months ago and Marty was our served. He did well and was prompt and friendly and I hope he still works there as he definitely was on top of his game. I like their mimosas, which is very important in my book for a brunch place. They also have good Bloody Mary's. As stated above, the Mediterranean Omelet is my go to dish. It really is out of this world, great flavor and great texture. Whenever I have a need for brunch and I am on the beach or even anywhere in the St. Petersburg area, this is where I want to go. The prices are fair, especially considering how good the food is! I have been here on multiple occasions and I will keep coming back!

This place has excellent food! The service is great and the regulars are upstanding citizens. I highly recommend O!
(4)Candice H.
The service was excellent! I had the low fat chunky chicken salad made with white meat chicken chunks, grapes, onions, low fat mayo and sour cream. The salad was served with fruit and a mini muffin. Delish! Nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend!
(5)Heidi B.
Once they got it right it was ok, ham, bacon was good, toast for me and others was like crutons , it is very outdated...disappointed, , just trying to find a good eggs bennidict, ,, by the way, the bill was also not right

Great restaurant.
(5)Erin D.
Smells funny in there, they have icky looking carpet so I'm sure that's the culprit. Service is slow and the place just feels dated. Had breakfast which was okay but overpriced. Not many options. Probably won't go back because I could barely handle the smell while I was eating and my husband felt nauseous from it.
(2)Time W.
Food is good, service is OK, nothing special. This place has a dorky charm of its' own. I love the menu and I'll be back for the dorkdom.

My girlfriend and I decided to try O Bistro after attending an event at Tyrone Square Mall. Is it just me or is there a real lack of interesting local (non-chain) restaurants in the Tyrone area? Anyway, we arrived around 6:30 p.m. and the restaurant was not very crowded. Our server was very friendly, but he forgot to bring my soda even after we asked about it twice (we also had waters and my friend had wine, but my soda was just forgotten). I ordered the grilled portobello sandwich which was delicious, although it was not served as I ordered it. I asked for no raw red onions, and ordered additional toppings of grilled onions and pepper jack cheese. It arrived with both types of onions but no cheese. Our server was very apologetic and took it back and brought out the correctly prepared dish very quickly. As a side dish I ordered the eggplant fries and they were amazing. Very tempura-like. They were served with a great marinara sauce for dipping. My friend and I agreed that they were the most delicious thing on the table. For her entree, my friend ordered the salmon BLT which was brought out with no bacon. Although the server offered to take it back or to bring some bacon, my friend just ate it as it was. It's hard not to be kind of sad when your BLT has no bacon, though. She said the salmon was good and she had a small salad as her side dish which was just OK. We ordered the raspberry cheesecake (based on Chet L.'s reviews) and the carrot cake to go. Our server was great and offered to split both desserts in half in two separate to go boxes. Awesome. The food that we got was good and our service was great. However, since both entrees were not prepared correctly (either as ordered, or as presented on the menu), I can not give O Bistro more than three stars for this visit. I would definitely be willing to try them again, however, and hopefully have a better experience. I've heard the lamb burgers are great, and I will definitely be getting the eggplant fries again!
(3)Alana O.
Love this place!! It's open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For breakfast, I get either the strawberry waffle or Eggs Benedict. For lunch, I get the chicken sandwich as a wrap with eggplant fries (delicious!!) or the oriental salmon salad. For dinner, I loveeee the seafood crepes or try a new special. It's reasonably priced and the food is high quality.

Haven't been here in quite some time but what happened?? I had one of the most God awful meals that I have ever had in my life. Rock hard poached eggs on both of our benedicts, which is a deal breaker right there IMO. Tasteless cold potatoes. Then I made the mistake of trying to at least finish the crab cake portion of the dish but when I scraped that awful egg off, I was left with a frozen crab cake. Perfectly formed by a machine. Ew. His grits were like soup. Then we were both ill for the rest of the day. Horrible to the point that I will NEVER set foot in this place again. It's really a shame because I was so looking forward to coming back here and having a great meal. Got fed bad food that made us both sick, and we didn't eat much of it either.
(1)Jack P.
What a great, hidden gem. We went for breakfast and it was outstanding. The food was excellent. The bacon and eggs were well done, the cheesy grits were perfect, and the wheat toast was very good. We also ordered the bananas foster crepe and the French strawberry crepe. INCREDIBLE!!!! The crepes and fruit were fresh and perfectly done. My wife had the au gratin potatoes and they were also very good. On top of it all, everyone was so nice and friendly. We highly recommend this place!!!!
(5)Laura R.
While their commercials are extremely annoying and the decor a little outdated, O Bistro still offers a menu that appeals to a lot of people, whether it be brunch, lunch or dinner. My much older relatives enjoy their classic Bloody Mary and mimosa, as well as the standard soups and sandwiches. I liked their pecan crusted chicken and the steak & Brie sandwich; however, the other items I've tried never really left much of an impression. Their desserts have very generous portions though - almost too much so. Two of us were unable to finish the profiteroles, which were extremely rich. To sum up: O Bistro isn't a bad place to eat, but I would like to see them freshen up their menu and decor. My elderly relatives really enjoy the place however, so it may be more of a generational issue - the over 50 crowd really seems to love the place.
(3)Evan F.
Small and tucked away but as soon as you walk in you'll be pleasantly surprised by the excellent and stylish bar. Walk through the door into the dining room where you'll receive excellent service and excellent food for a more than reasonable price.
(5)Dani I.
Second time here. First time was for brunch and it was great. The lox was fantastic and mimosas were delicious. This second time i had a lamb burger with goat cheese and it was also delicious. I had the eggplant fries as a side but I didn't like that too much. I would still definitely go back.
