Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Brick oven pizza that hit the right spot for a relaxing evening in the condo. Good flavors and good service.

The pizza is good, maybe rating a four star. However, the service leaves something to be desired for takeout. They have messed up the order about half the time we called. Note to everyone. They have four sizes. If call for a large, they will give you the second size down. When I asked what they largest size is, they said 18". You have to ask for it by 18". If you ask for large, you will get the 14" or 16". Plus, they really don't listen well on the phone. We only go back as they are the closest and on the way home. We've never eaten in, so I can't rate the service for dining in.

um mediocre--- is being generous. Our meal started with a wilted salad--- inedible. when I pointed that fact out to my server, "crickets." No offer to replace it--- get another :nothing. She asked if I wanted to, "box it up??" Nope... I am NOT kidding. More, insult-to injury: I paid $10.99 for a small bowl of pasta---- no kidding with oil and garlic. So... yea... that's about a 2,000% mark up. Served with bread-------oh no it wasn't. Not even a cracker. My daughter ordered a personal pizza-- which was above average in terms of quality of ingredients, but the crust was pretty burnt. I would cut some slack if the place was busy, but we hit about 4:30 p.m. pre-dinner. And, that's about it for me.

The ingredients were plentiful on the meat lovers pizza!!! But the best part was the crust...it reminded me of the pizza rias pizza in italy! The staff was super friendly and helpful.

Huge fan of their Stromboli and canneloni, Fair and affordable prices. Never a long wait. I would recommend calling to order take out on a busy night as there are only a few tables.
(5)Magan M.
We really wanted our order delivered, but we couldn't because it wasn't after 4:00pm. If I'm willing to pay you extra, does it really matter what time of day it is? Our pizza was burned on the bottom and there was hardly any cheese.

Our new favorite pizza place! Everything is handmade and the calzones are HUGE! The ingredients are fresh and the pizza is hand tossed - no deep dish. There's not many seats so you may want to get your pie or calzones to go. Friendly staff, but my only complaint is they really need a bigger dining area.

YAY! This is our place for a amazing pizza fix in this area!!! Good sizes & amazing flavors & of course the originals as well. The kickin' chicken is highly recommended! if you love a little spicy & kick!!! good size chicken & not greedy with the chicken either! Other flavors are amazing too but this one is a fav in the family! Highly recommend this place!

2nd time around was not as good. They got the pizza wrong and burned it the first time so remade it and made us the wrong kind of pizza. Took a LONG time to get everything sorted out. Although they made an effort to discount the order. It was very expensive for an overall negative experience.

Great New York style pizza! We eat here each time we come to navarre and always enjoy it! Delicious!
(5)Sonja L.
Today's slice is incredible! Baked with cheese, pepperoni and sausage inside two thin layers and topped with Parmesan- served fresh and worth the wait. About the last third of it was just crust but still worth the $5.99 price for lunch with salad and drink. A few good lunch deals and their wings are delicious too!
(5)Laura N.
Burned all three if our pizzas. Was told this was the best in town. This was the very worst. Even the dog couldn't eat it as it tasted like a old cigarette ash tray....

Pretty good NY style pizza. I would give 3.5, really if they had it. We had the garlic knots which were amazing, but no cheese dipping sauce which we really love. Marinara was good, but they definitely needed sauce so limited options. Pizza was delicious and we had a great blue cheese salad. Beer selection was pretty limited given the current craft beer craze, but we were able to find something. But the real experience killer was no diaper changer station in bathroom. So we had to go to car to change a diaper. Im guessing a pizza place on the beach in FL sees alot of families with kids so that was a huge pain in the middle of dinner. Once that happened just sort of overshadowed the experience.

Pizza is absolutely the best! The only reason it gets 4 stars is because they need more space, this place gets pretty busy some nights and they only have maybe 5-6 tables inside...they have a few outside but too hot in the summer to sit out there. Have always had friendly staff!

Votes in the group ranged from 4-5. Very good pizza, garlic knots. Also noticed they do a lot of carryout and delivery. Prices about right. Gratuity was built into original check, maybe because we had 6 in our party? Also had the usual blank for it on the credit card slip, so be careful or you'll tip twice.

Best pizza place in Navarre if you're looking for something other than the fast food options. I recommend takeout because the facility is small. Make sure you order your pizza with LIGHT CRUST because their oven usually blackens the standard thin crust quite a bit.
(4)Brian D.
Nice pizza joint in Navarre, mostly set up for take out though. It can get packed quickly. The pizza is very good, I recommend the meat lovers for fellow carnivores. I also had the Cobb salad which was HUGE!! And very good. The wings were some of the best that I have had in Navarre/GB to date. The servers were friendly and the atmosphere was nice and clean. I'm sure I will be back soon.

My little one had been asking for pizza all week while we were at the beach so I decided to give this place a try. I agree with previous posters that the dining area is very small and could use some more seating, however there was a seat open when we got there and I didn't see anybody have to wait. The service was for the most part prompt, we didn't have to wait long for service. The food was very good. The pizza is a thin crust and hand tossed in the kitchen right in front of the dining area. It did take awhile to get our pizza, but it was piping hot when it arrived. I like a little more cheese on my pie, but it was sufficient. We also had garlic knots that were great and I had a small Greek salad that was pretty decent. If in the area again I would definitely go back. Reasonably priced & good pizza.

Very delicious pizza! The best pizza i have had in a long time! Look forward to their pizza! And the service is awesome!
(5)Jeff B.
Great pizza & garlic knots!! I'm new to the area and have to say this is my favorite pizza place!
(5)David P.
Pizza tastes like frozen reheated pizza. Cheap ingredients and way overcharge. Got our order wrong twice on pick up order. 1 of our pizzas was burnt on bottom. Management didn't seem to care when we went back for other half of order and it seemed like a hassle to them even though they are the ones who messed up. Save your money or go across street to Publics and get a frozen pizza. Alot cheaper and tastes about the same.
(1)Jaime G.
Our favorite pizza/wing joint. The garlic knots are seasoned perfectly, but definitely over proofed (they're huge!). The pizza is awesome and has a unique, authentic NY taste. The wings are perfect. Ask for them well done to get them crispy like they should be. They have nightly specials so be sure to ask about those. Staff is very attentive and we haven't had issues yet with anything. Highly recommend.
(4)Leah P.
The antipasto salad with the Greek dressing and the garlic knots were awesome. The pizza was pretty good, but the sauce was a little bland. However, it was way better delivery pizza than any national chain restaurant.
(4)John R.
This was actually second on my list, but the first place was closed. What did I think? Garlic knots - "goood", marinara sauce - "goood", Stromboli - "goood", overall - "goood". Lewanna was a great waitress.
(4)Jessica J.
Tasty Pizza! Great garlic knots & individual slices are huge! Waitstaff was friendly.
(4)Melissa P.
Mmmmmazing! The garlic knots are so yummy and the oven brick pizzas and pastas are to die for!
(5)Matthew D.
Pretty good pizza that our vacationing group is seriously considering ordering again (on this visit). I would recommend it over chains in the area, but it wouldn't get too excited about it.
(3)Erin A.
The best pizza I've had so far on the panhandle. I go every Friday!
(5)Tanya D.
Our pizzas were damned good! I don't participate in the whole "real" pizza debate, but I love thin crust and this one was perfect. Not too thin that it didn't have a bit of chewiness, just right. The little girl got a small pepperoni and I tasted the sauce, not too sweet, which I liked. We got the "Mariano" which is really a Marguerita as it has fresh tomatoes (they put the sauce on their Marguerita) and it was tasty. I do think there was pesto instead of just fresh basil, but it was fine. I am picky!!!! It was delivered pretty quick and the price was on par for regular pizza joint ( of course more than the cardboard fake cheese crap chains.)

If I could I would give this place 3 and a half stars. After reading the reviews I thought I will really like this place. I was prepared to be very very happy but that kind of fell short. I'm not saying their pizza is totally bad. We are still pretty new to the area so we've only had pizza from Hungry Howie's, NYPD's pizza is def an upgrade from Hungry's. I don't know if it's a thing in Florida where people don't put salt in a dough. Maybe I'm just wrong and that's how a pizza dough should be made, without pinch of salt in it. Either way I like that pinch of salt in dough as it changes the flavor drastically. Thin crust is a big plus for me and I loved the burns on it. I got to complement good quality of sausage they use for meat lovers pizza, I usually give sausage from pizza to my dog but he didn't get any this time :-). I also had anchovies pizza and it wasn't the greatest pizza I've ever had but it was OK, and not cause of the anchovies cause I love them. We will try other places around but we will keep NYPD's in mind.

This is our "go to" place (for the time being) for thin crust pizza. You can toss all the local thin crust pizza joints in a hat (Sal's, NYPD, Papa's) and the one thing they all have in common is inconsistency and being pricier than the chains. However, the pizza and calzone we got the other night was well made, so we'll continue to ride this horse till they drop the ball (or I mix another metaphor) then switch to Papa's or Sal's. On a side note, we always get our pizza to go. So if you're looking for a bar/dining room atmosphere you're better off going to Sal's. NYPD only has about 6 tables, and they're right on top of the open kitchen.

Small pizza place, nice little spot to grab a bite. Time for food is little long, but it is good, not great but good. Staff is pretty good. Meh

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Navarre. I think the pizza is excellent. The garlic knots are wonderful, and everything is very well priced. Beer prices are great too !
(5)Joanne V.
My experience was when they first opened - NOT ny pizza - husband and I both thought it was very bland and dry - not at all what i was expecting since I have had real NY pizza in NY. one visit only - you only got my $15.00 and no repeat business
(1)Alice C.
We absolutely love NYPD! My husband and I both lived in NJ and we get cravings for great pizza often. We drive an hour to get this pizza. It is perfectly cooked. It is crispy and cheesy. It's also cool to see them hand toss the pizza right in front of your eyes. Best pizza in the area hands down!
