I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to experience refined and authentic French cuisine. Their menu is very diverse with proteins ranging from beef, pork, duck, chicken, scallops to fish. My wife who is French and I came down from Chicago to visit my parents. They told us of a authentic French restaurant. We both are usually skeptical of any French restaurant who claims to be authentic, but Escargot 41 delivered and for a reasonable price too! Don't let the strip mall fool you because after stepping inside it is a very elegant and thought out interior space with round tables instead of square which I feel is much more practical for dining. There are many details that entice you from dinner wear to presentation and it is not noisy. We could hear ourselves chat just fine. The service was impeccable and the owner/manager greets you and sees you off when done. Her husband is the chef and they are both French so my wife had the opportunity to chat in her native French language. They have multiple choices of escargot preparations for appetizers. We chose the traditional herb butter garlic variety and I do want to point out at this time that nothing we ate was too salty but rather very balanced on seasonings including this escargot. The bread which they kept filling up for us since we continually ate it all up was crispy and tender with a wonderful flavor. I had the cup of lobster bisque soup as a starter and it was very mild in flavor. I actually loved it but for those of you who may like a stronger tasting seafood flavor this was not it. Rather it had a subtle, smooth and creamy consistency with tiny morsels of crab meat. For my meal I chose the Chilean Sea Bass prepared with a potato crust accompanied with green beans, mushroom risotto and laid on a white wine, lemon butter chive sauce that was absolutely succulent. The fish was moist and full of flavor and the thin slices of potato that made the top crust was perfectly crispy. The sides were delicious and the presentation on the plate was artistic and refined and the portions were perfectly balanced. I asked them to pair a white wine for this meal and they came back with two choices to taste from. I made my choice and it complimented the dish just right for me. The four of us dining here were so happy with our meals we passed around tastes from each others' dishes and everything I tasted was superb. To finish we chose two deserts, the apple tart and a raspberry soufflé. Both were sublime and slightly sweat the way deserts are suppose to be. We Americans dump too much sugar in everything which oversaturates the subtle flavors of the other components. Their deserts are true to form from France. All in all it was a very personable and charming experience.

What a wretched little place. Stuffy, over priced, the "lady of the house" or wife of the owner/co owner what have you is very rude. So if you are looking for a truly French experience, then this is your place! The food I selected, the pate and scallops st. Jacques...pate tasted like refrigerator...maybe the plastic wrap fell off and they forgot it was in the cooler, and the scallops were an unusual interpretation of the classic dish. I wouldn't ever return- better off going to the more affluent Naples restaurants.

Escargot 41, Naples Florida An exquisite place for real fine French dining in Naples, Florida. As you won't judge a book by its cover or a movie by its title, such concept applies for Escargot 41 since they are tucked in the corner of a shopping mall (which makes parking a breeze) -- and to remember, this is Naples, Florida, most businesses are in malls -- BUT once you have passed the doors, you forget all about the surprising location and the quirky sign. The decor is detailed with nice white lace tabletops and an opulent flower bouquet in the center of the dining room. Table wear is ornate and fine porcelain. And the menu is authentic French cuisine at its best. Bravo Naples for having such a place for its gourmets and culinary enthusiasts. Faithful to the French tradition, Escargot 41 offers a selection of escargot preparations and the one I ordered was by far the best escargot dish I have ever had in my French life so far. (!!!) From the rest of the dishes I experienced, whether the soup, the salad, the house signature entree I highly recommend (from the chef's Grandma's own recipes brought over from France), to the desserts, I was absolutely delighted. This including the wine selection and the warm and attentive service provided throughout evening. Escargot 41 is Naples French restaurants best hidden secret if you have not yet heard. And as a French palate, if I may qualify as such, I will say this is one of the "Frenchiest" restaurants I have experienced in the States so far. Quelle joie!)

New under new ownership but the chef had stayed. The new owners, 2 brothers have made this hidden gem the best restaurant experiance in town. The service is OUTSTANDING!!! They greet each guest at the door and are attentive all night, stopping by to check on service, food, drinks and, if you want, conversation. Now let's talk about the food, great specials: my hubby and mom had the super fresh seabass prepared with scalloped potatoes arranged to look like the scales. Clever presentation and amazingly fresh and delicious. The name sake: escargot has 6 different ways to order. We had the traditional and it was awesome. South of France good. We even dipped our bread into sauce after it was gone! The salad was delicious with the 3 of us all ordering different ones. All creative, all good. I had spinach with beets, goat cheese. Hubby had Ceasars which was reported as amazing and he was not offering any bites so it had to have been good.:) The only thing that was not a stand out surprisingly was the French onion soup. Same as most places, I ordered the duck with plum reduction for dinner, portion was large and artfully prepared. I would highly recommend this place.

Food was better than AC. When I'm paying big prices I want AC in the bathroom. It was hot and no french where working as far as I know. Place needs overhauled, but food was good.

Escargot 41 is a hidden gem nestled away in a shopping center between K-mart and Homegoods on Tamiami Trail. My mom learned about this wonderful delight through word of mouth. Reservations are required as the place is small, the food is made to order, and it is a popular establishment known for its exquisite cuisine. Foodies will definitely enjoy the dishes served at Escargot 41. Everything about Escargot 41 was fantastic -- the food, the atmosphere, the service, the price. It is definitely a venue we will visit again. Read more about my experience and view photos here: ginapacelli.com/2014/06/… Have questions? We had a great dinner! Escargot, Brie, sweet breads, duck, salmon, steak, wow! Try the Grand Marnier soufflé for dessert. I can't wait to go back. Service and cuisine were flawless. It was a great experience.

This is our favorite French Restaurant in Naples since 10 years. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is amazing. It changed owners this fall but they kept the menu and one of the chefs and it is as good if not better as always. Very friendly service. It is on the pricey side however I hope that more young people will go there and experience the real French food! Don't miss it, it's as close as you can get to France :).

Didn't like it. Place was stuffy feeling & has a must smell. My husband French onion soup was over salted, the escargot was good. My husband decided he didn't want anything more after the turn off from the soup. He told the waitress nicely that he was full. When she realized he wasn't going to order anything else she seemed to get a attitude. I ordered the salted duck for a main course, I didn't enjoy the taste of it at all. Unfortunately. I picked the place for my husband 50 from all the reviews. Was bummed it didn't turn out to be to our tasting.

I have to repeat what was said by other reviewers. Do not be put off by the location/outside appearance of this restaurant. I know, yes it is a K-Mart or some such strip mall but ignore it. You enter what looks like the inside of a French mansion, flowers, paintings, fine linens. As the name implies try the Escargot, must be 10 different choices on the menu. That's just for appetizers. food and service excellent overseen by the owner who is both gracious and French a unique combination. Fish, beef, lamb, duck all excellent choices and of course an extensive wine list both by the bottle and glass. In season (that means winter in Naples) reservations are a must a least a week in advance. Out of season (late spring/early summer) one or two days in advance is sufficient. During the Summer the restaurant sometimes closes so call ahead.

OK, its tucked in a mall between a KMart and a Dollar Tree. Get over it!! I've been coming to Naples for over 20 years and this gem has been here for nine years and I'd never dined there. My mistake. It is a small, intimate restaurant owned and managed by people who really care about food and wine. I will not attempt to review what our party of four ordered because I could not do it justice. Yes, it's expensive but no more than any of the trendy restaurants in downtown Naples. You will not be disappointed.

Walking into Escargot 41 is kind of like going thru the looking glass, from shopping center parking lot into France. Very beautifully decorated, with lace and linens, and china on the tables. But now to the main reason you go to a restaurant the food. The Coquille St. Jacques and especially the mussels, with a light cream sauce accented with fresh basil were excellent. A spinach and fresh beet salad served as a daily special was delicious. We had confit of duck and veal medallions with apples and mushrooms, again perfect. The wine by the glass was somewhat lacking, but a good selection of half bottles compensated for this, overall the winelist was extensive and well price.
