Enjoyed the fried catfish dish! My husband didn't talk until the last bite of his curry chicken dish. And the music...well, let's just say, the sounds definitely complemented the meal. Wished they had bread pudding as a dessert, though. It would have topped the experience. Anyways, great place to try if you're in town for the first time.

Made a reservation for my birthday Couldn't find the restaurant because it changed names Finally found the actual location and even though it is still a restaurant with a stage and a piano they no longer have music What a birthday let down! Completely disappointed!

Great experience! Loved the live jazz and the food was incredible. The service was a little on the slow side, but I had a wonderful time. I highly recommend the filet. The crab that we also had was just okay.

Third time at Alto, and it continues to be a great place for dinner, and the only place for excellent live jazz in Naples. Yes, the menu is on the small side by Naples standards, but everything we and our guests have ordered has been great. And they do bring bread and olive oil, so I don't know where those comments come from. I simply dismiss complaints about "the filet only comes in one size" - you want multiple sizes go to a steakhouse. The filet is excellent and the portion size is just fine. We can also recommend the tuna tartare, all of the salads, the chicken, salmon, and whatever happens to be the catch of the day - three for three on that one. Try to get seated in Grace's section - she is a lot of fun and leads a fine service team. Alto deserves a place in the pantheon of fine Naples restaurants, alongside Sea Salt, Campiello, Truluck's, Ridgway and Avenue 5.

Nice restaurant. Fried catfish with collard greens was delish. Make sure to ask for freshly baked dinner tools. The live jazz is a standout!

Come for happy hour! 4 to 7 pm. The entire menu half off at the bar. Tuna tartar is exceptional! Caprese salad is delicious and a great portion size. I haven't tried the burger, but the couple next to us had it last time and it looked great! Bartender Fernando is amazing and the ambiance is hard to beat!

We stopped in later in the evening for an appetizer (warm buns - think pillowy soft sliders on the high end! ) a couple of drinks and listened to the last set of the Jazz band. I could imagine as others have stated if dining in the dining area, it could be difficult to have a conversation but that wasn't the case in the bar area. Bartender very friendly and had a great conversation with him. Loved it and will be back.

Super cool little place in Naples. Live music was so much fun couples kept getting up for a little dance between courses or when a particular song was extra catchy. In addition to the fun atomsophere, the food was delicious! I went with four and shared the Tapenade. Was a nice taste of three dips and when we asked for more pita bread our waitress brought out a large warm plate of them. Collective we tried the Seafood Pasta, Chicken Breast, Catfish and Salmon... Everyone was happy with their dish and there were hardly leftovers. Finished with the cheesecake which was divine!!

We loved it. Excellent food, attentive service. The jazz music was top notch. It's not a quiet lounge, it's real jazz music and it was a great experience. Nice to have something different in Naples. Gave me a feeling of being in a big city. From the appetizers to the desert and drinks, all excellent.

We recently had the extreme pleasure of dining at Altos for the first time. We were in town for a family reunion of sorts. We had a party of 9 including 2 children. They took reservations which is always nice with large parties. The staff and service was phenomenal! Our servers were incredibly attentive and knew the menu. I'm terrible with names but I believe their names were Jim & Phil. They've just started opening on Mondays and offering nightly specials. Last night was all you can eat Crab Legs which a few of us took advantage of. Between us we ordered most of the starters and salads, the soup dejour, the evening specials, regular menu items, most of the desserts, wine and mixed drinks and nothing disappointed! The talented and friendly jazz musicians playing in the background made the evening that much more enjoyable! We were all very impressed with the entire experience and would highly recommend Altos for any occasion!!! This will definitely be a must stop any time we're in Naples from now on.

Live jazz music and great service! I got the rosemary chicken with mashed potatoes. It was good! Kinda sucks that they don't give bread or anything. Do not get the Mac n cheese. They're house made vanilla and coffee ice cream is delicious!

We had a very nice dinner here tonight. Maybe they've worked out the kinks since the 1st review. Loved listening to the jazz while eating. Our waiter was attentive and helpful. Portions were large and everything was delicious. The rock shrimp appetizer went fast. I had the swordfish special and it was very flavorful. Flatbreads were large and very tasty. Definitely would come back here. Great atmosphere and great food.

Most importantly, we will tell anyone who asks "to avoid this restaurant" if at all possible.

When you walk in and are greeted you get that "It's a fancy restaurant" feeling. Great decor and fantastic live jazz music! Delicious food and top notch service. When it gets busy they can be a little slow to bring your check so linger over the music. We went for a group event and felt welcome. For the price of the meals you would expect larger portions but then you would have a cover charge for the music so not bad overall.

I had a very pleasant experience at Alto. While immediately seated, it took a while for a server to come to the table. The server who arrived was extremely apologetic. I was offered a free drink & dessert for my wait. I didn't think my wait was excessive, but I appreciate the restaurant's care for the customers. I had the salmon, which was grilled perfectly. I had the cheesecake for dessert, which was delicious. The live music was such a joy & I was attentive to every song. Thank you to the management and staff for an enjoyable experience.

My husband and I had dinner here a couple of nights ago. It's a nice venue--impressive decor, with a great stage for the band. We were REALLY disappointed with our food, though. We had checked the place out online and expected a much fuller menu. Not many selections (all food items listed on one side of a single sheet menu) and only a couple of fish selections, which really surprised and disappointed my husband. I ordered the filet mignon which only came in one size and was prepared with wilted greens (spinach I think) and served with bernaise sauce & pommes frites for $42. He ordered tagliatelle bolognese and the soup of the day (out of curiosity) which was creamy avocado served chilled with orange juice, somewhere in the $30-$40 range for both, if I remember correctly. No bread was served. I don't know how long we waited for our food, but it was about the length of a band set which is at least 45 minutes. The music was superb so we didn't mind, but we began to get the idea that some of our dinner was being prepared while some of it was waiting under the warmer. And we were right. And guess what was cool? The steak, of course! The pasta was warm, & the potatoes were terrific! More about the steak. It was cooked correctly; I ordered medium-well & it was, although the cut was not that great. A good bit of fat & tendon. Anyway, the manager (he was the first one we were able to get to notice us) offered me another glass of wine (complimentary) & either a new steak or to heat up the first one. I just asked them to wrap it up to take home because by this time my husband had almost finished his meal (that was how long it took to get someone to help us). The bite I did have was too salty, probably from the spinach. The avocado soup with orange juice was too sweet of course. My husband said it was nice but maybe better for dessert. I decided to take them up on the glass of wine while we listened to a little more music. This is a piano/vocalist, bass & drums trio that does a lot of old standards: Cole Porter-type stuff, & the singer is a phenomenal Sinatra-style, fedora & all. So to wrap up: decor, decent--**** Lighting--** (need candles on tables, was hard to see food) Service--* (we tipped, though. Not really her fault) Menu--* Food--* Music--Wow (fortunately these guys play around town so we don't have to return to this place to hear them) Lotsa stars!!! Really, Alto has only been open since February and maybe they need a little time to settle in before they start to shine. I hope they will. It's a good idea and location. Additional info--no dance floor!! There were lots of empty tables. They could have removed a couple of rows. And that's my review of Alto in Naples. By the way, they charged us for the glass of wine lol!

Mixed feelings about this restaurant. Food was pretty good but they ran out or the grouper special which 3 of us ordered and it was only 7:30pm. Server asked us if it was ok to substitute snapper for grouper but bad to go back into kitchen to find out the type of snapper. Fish was a little overcooked but risotto on plate was quite good. Pork chop was very good. Caprese salad was great. As for the service it was mediocre at best. Server was very nice but inattentive. Our water was never refilled during the entire meal. Busboys need training. Our bus boy started clearing the table before everyone was finished with dinner. Then he put the dirty silverware that he cleared from my husband onto my plate that was still in front of me and then removed the plate. Jazz was very enjoyable but a bit too loud to be able to also have dinner conversation. The tile floor and high ceilings just do not absorb the sound. Unsure if we will return.

Since I saw on TV this restaurant has some New Orleans influence I decided to order Gumbo, catfish with dirty rice, and bananas foster. All were good with a nice presentation. The band played music all night which was very enjoyable.

Dinner last night was superb. The swordfish was the 'catch of the day' and melted in my mouth. The portions were perfect and the wine prices were also reasonable. There was no cover charge for the jazz band that was playing. It adds a nice touch to the over all ambience. Our waiter, Fernando, was on point. He made great recommendations and the food was brought out of the kitchen by expediters as soon as it was ready. The food temperature was perfect. No bread is served but that was ok with us. If you are looking for a fabulous meal with live entertainment, then this is the place to be!

I had been reading about this new restaurant and we decided to try it. With Charles Mereday I thought it would be excellent. Big mistake. We went early, after work for dinner. Good server, but that's where the good ended. There was no one there, just the two of us and one other table an hour later. They were out of the wine we selected from the list. Band started, but they certainly weren't worth going back for. Food was mediocre at best. There are so many very good to GREAT restaurants in Naples, we won't be back to Alto's. One star for the server, 0 for the food and entertainment.

I and 4 others had dinner here Tuesday evening. I had the pork shank, and it was delicious. My friends enjoyed their meals as well. The best thing about this place is the music. It's so great to have live jazz in Bayfront. This is my new favorite place in Naples.
