A total of 10 teachers arrived here on a Friday afternoon at 3:30. The server told us that happy hour begins at 4. We asked for the manager to see if he could do anything for us since we planned on eating and drinking for a bit. The manager came over and was very indifferent. We explained that we teach students with special needs at a local school, and wondered about bumping up happy hour for us (which other businesses have done). He was very short and abrupt and said there was no happy hour on Friday. So I asked, maybe there is something he could do to help us out? His answer was no and he walked away. Showed no interest in us and quite frankly it was rude. There are nicer ways to say no. So we ordered our drinks and they were incredibly watered down. Full priced drinks watered down? No thanks! The waitress came back over, takes ONE person's order, and walks away. We had to get the "delightful" manager over again to order some more drinks. The server was nice, but the manager was not, and made me not want to order anymore, which I did not. We will NOT be back with our 10 people to order food. I grew up in restaurants my whole life & it is so easy to do something to make a group of 10 locals happy, instead of upsetting them and risking them all not coming back. Before leaving we went to use the restroom and there were two LaBamba staff members in one stall together, another employee in the other stall, and one stall covered in toilet paper. Thanks LaBamba for a stressful, watered down afternoon.

Do you like cheap, quick and tasty Mexican food? You've come to the right place. Are you looking for authenticity ... well, you'll find it, but not nearly as much as you might like. La Bamba is what it is, starting from the name on down. It's Americanized Mexican, which is perfectly fine if that's what you are in the mood for. This is a giant restaurant (and I mean giant, it just keeps going back with more tables.) We walked in and needed a table for 6 and even though it was packed, they sat us right away. Love that. The walls are painted with bright colors and pictures of south of the border. Again, they're going for a theme here, not for the real deal. Your menu is basic Mexican fare, which means if you're looking for a taco or burrito or enchalada, you'll find it. And cheap! Cheap cheap! Less than $10 for a ton of food cheap. Love it. And tons of different deals on things like magaritas (which were also cheap and strong.) (They also do have a section of their many page menu that has unique and authentic Mexican dishes, so if you're feeling adventurous, they have the options for you.) The food was good, nothing amazing but just what I was looking for. The service was fast but nothing special. They know how to take an order, get it in and get the food to you, no question about it. I enjoyed myself here for sure. Want that classic not-classic-at-all Americanized Mexican food? La Bamba is a tune you can dance too.

Well I can say that I've been a huge fan of La Bamba in Delray Beach for quite some time. I decided to try my local La Bamba only to be disappointed. The night started with a waitress who appeared to be so busy that she was trying to rush us. All was pretty smooth until the dinner started to arrive. My wife ordered a chicken enchilada and I ordered shrimp fajitas. The waiter brought me a dirty plate and I politely asked him to bring me a new plate because the one he originally brought me was dirty. He returns ten minutes later with a bread plate. I then ask him if he could please bring me a normal sized plate to where he has the nerve to ask me "oh you need a bigger plate" to where I point to my large skillet of shrimp fajitas plus the other plate with toppings topped off by a container with tortillas. He returns five minutes later with a normal sized plate. Now that my issue was resolved, my wife begins to cut into her enchilada to find out that they brought her beef instead of chicken. I then tried calling the manager while simultaneously putting together a fajita, to find that the tortillas were stale and felt as if they just purchased them at the grocery store, took them out of the bag and put them on my plate. As the manager arrives, I inform him about the wrong order and ask him if the restaurant steams the tortillas like most mexican restaurants. He appears dumbfounded and says "steam? what is steam?" and calls the waitress. How is it that the manager at a restaurant in the United States of America doesn't know how to speak English? The waitress finally gets there and I ask her the question..."does your restaurant steam the tortillas?" and she responds "We have flour and corn tortillas" I then ask again to where she responds in an annoyed tone "we don't do that here!" Well unfortunately for her, she learned that night to not bite the hand that feeds her because I left her $0.01. Just enough to show her that I didn't forget to tip but enough to show her that she sucked at life. Stick to La Bamba in Delray Beach it is far better in both quality, location, and service.

This location of La Bamba is fantastic. Coming here for years and not been disappointed. The house margaritas are tasty and a great value. Nice homemade chips and fresh salsa, hot and regular. The arroz con pollo is the best I've had anywhere---super-tender chicken and amazingly flavorful rice, and a really generous portion. The pollo ala plancha is great too, as well as the pork chops--extremely flavorful with top-notch black beans and rice. Yummy tacos too.

This is my local mexican restaurant. It is pretty standard americanized mexican. Nothing I have had food wise has been exceptional but not bad. The salsa is good and comes in regular and hot. The menu has a little more variety than some mexican joints there are spanish specialties again good but not exceptional. It is popular but seats always seem to be available. The crowd is local and diverse, frequently there are fairly large parties. Service is prompt and courteous. Now for the best part inexpensive, well made strong margaritas. The bartenders seem to make them as if they would be drinking em themselves.

So I should probably warn that I'm a bit biased...I've been coming here since I was a kid and it may be the first real Mexican (Taco Bell just doesn't count) that I ever had. However, I love this place and it holds huge nostalgia for me. The decor has changed a bit in recent years and is now a bit more "festive," but the quality of the food has remained the same. When you sit down you are immediately given a basket of piping hot chips (which are not too greasy), and fresh, zesty salsa, full of tomatoes, onions and cilantro. Unlike some places, they will bring you as much as you want, and you can even buy a bag (and cup for the salsa) to go. Personally I find the chicken to be flavorful, and well cooked. The only caveat is, as my father says "the chicken enchiladas taste like the chicken tacos taste like the chicken tostadas." With a bit of trepidation I admit, this does seem to be true. They cook a well-seasoned batch of shredded chicken and use it for all the dishes so that the only difference is the casing (crunchy or soft tortilla made of corn or flour). That being said, all of these dishes are very tasty. The fajitas are huge and the filling (meat, chicken or veggies) come on a literally sizzling skillet. The tacos are moist and stuffed with lettuce and cheese like a traditional (or rather, Americanized) version should be. The chicken nachos are tender (at least the chicken part is) and they spread the chips out so every chip gets covered in cheese, then bake them to give them an extra crunch. Their lunch specials are great, and they are very quick to bring you each course so you can get back to work. The soups that come with them are also spectacular. While the cream of chicken is my absolute favorite (only available on Thurs.), the regular chicken soup is also very good, and is made even better when you add some crumbled up tortilla chips. The fruit margaritas are blended to cover up the tequila and pack a serious punch. The flan is only ok, but the fried ice cream is better than most places (somehow the combination of crispy corn flakes, graham crackers and caramel with cold vanilla ice cream just works). However, if you decide to come here for the cuban side of the menu...don't. The palomilla is a bit dry and disappointing (go elsewhere if you want cuban food). The mexican dishes really are the stars of this more Americanized, less traditional restaurant. Overall this place is a wonderful place to go with a group of friends, or just to go to grab a bite to eat and watch the game (all rooms have tvs with sporting events on). Not the most upscale Mexican, but definitely delicious!

My first time going there I was like where are we going? Then I saw the place from the outside. Let me just say looks where deceiving because when you walk in, it smells so good! The lighting in there is on point to where you can see everything, where your going to what you are eating, but it's dim enough to give you that nice relaxing dinner light. The place is well put together and most important it's clean! The chips an salsa are to die for! The salsa is homemade!!! You can get mild or hot, both are a must try because of the consistency of them. The mild is little runny while the hot is thicker. The steak quesadilla and chicken fajita are amazing dishes there an they are a must try! They will for sure delight your taste buds.

El Loco Burro double beans no rice with sour cream instead of guacamole Their chips and salsa are always good and always fresh. The ultimate margarita on the rocks with salt is the way to go when it comes to drinks with your dinner. The service is always great and there's nothing on the menu you won't like. The popularity of this place is obvious because there are times you'll wait up to an hour for a table but it's worth the wait. If you have room for dessert try the fried ice cream.

I had heard so many things about La Bamba's over the years... I moved quite close to this one, and finally figured I should give it a try. I really was hoping it would live up to the hype. First of all, expect a wait. When we walked up, there were a ton of people waiting outside, so when I put my name in, I was surprised when they said it was only about a 10 minute wait. Turns out this place is gigantic... that, and Bryan O. is right - they turn the tables over efficiently. Our server was nice but aloof, and they all seemed to have this all down to a science. The food itself is pretty tasty. The chips and salsa were good, and when they saw that we had mixed the mild and hot together, they brought us some more. Our waiter was also very quick to refill our drinks. I ordered two crunchy ground beef tacos (from the a la carte menu, since I don't really like rice and beans), and they weren't the store-bought taco shells, so it was more authentic-tasting. I will warn you about the margaritas, however. Mine was so strong that it was actually painful to drink. I couldn't do it. I don't drink alcoholic beverages to get drunk, I do it because I like the flavor. This one had no flavor other than fire going down your throat. I left the drink practically untouched. I couldn't help but compare this place to Cielito Lindo (my favorite Mexican restaurant, in Pompano), and I like their food better. The quality at both places is good, but Cielito Lindo's beef has better tacos (the beef is seasoned more, and the shells are crunchier). Still, this place comes second, and I absolutely will come back here. It's so ridiculously close to me, how could I not?

I haven't eaten at La Bamba for about a year until tonight. I was happy to see that nothing has changed. This restaurant provides Mexican food for the pan-Latin American community of Broward County. They also serve a Latin American take on a few Spanish dishes like paella. Their Mexican food tastes good, unlike many other so-called Mexican restaurants in the area (e.g. Tijuana Taxi). Everything I have eaten at La Bamba tastes good, tacos, enchiladas etc. Is it REAL Mexican food, the food eaten (anywhere) in Mexico? OF COURSE NOT. Where in the U.S. can you get the tacos and tortas of the taquerias of Mexico City in the 60's? Do these foods exist anywhere, even in Mexico? I certainly would not know where to find them in the U.S., even in California and Texas, and they definitely cannot be found in South Florida. Despite that, this is good (though unhealthy) food, served in very large portions, in a lively environment, frequently with long lines though surprisingly short waits. La Bamba continues to be one of the few Mexican/Spanish places that seems to be able to get you in and out quickly, with some good Mexican/Spanish food. They have hot fresh tortilla chips, with a fresh mild salsa, and a good hot salsa. Nice flavor but not so spicy you can't feel your tongue. And they keep filling your bowl- which can be addictive. Personally, the Mexican food is my least favorite - I am not a fan of heavily sauced burritos, chimichangas or bland rice and beans. However, what they do well, they do extremely well. They have really good fajitas that come out sizzling with an excellent flavor. They are always good. They use real crab in their salad with crab meat and crab nachos. The shrimp scampi is delicious, and their side of chicken tacos is great. They even make a good hamburger! The bar is fun to hang out in, the bartenders have been there a long time and know the regulars, but also are attentive to new people. On Monday they have $2.50 frozen margaritas with a entree purchase, and I love their frozen margaritas with a floater on top. Somehow they manage to get you in and out quickly, even large groups, but you never feel you are being rushed. I have not been to any other La Bamba location, but this one has been good and beats such places as El Mariachi, Chipolte, etc. Casual and family style inside, loud but bearable noise level. Even on weekends when people are waiting, you can always get a drink and sit outside while waiting. The servers are friendly and quick. All in all, a great restaurant for some good food and great drinks! So average Mexican food, great fajitas and some other dishes. Worth the trip.

I went to La Bamba II again on Saturday and I'm now a fan. I remembered enjoying the beef tacos on my previous visit so this time I just ordered tacos. The tacos are superb! The fillings are pretty normal - but very fresh and tasty. However what makes it special is the shell. You can tell the shell is fried to order and it makes a huge difference. They're very crispy and quite thin - which is what I like. Go for the tacos here.

Decent picante. Decent Cuban place passing for bad Mex or bad Mex with decent Cuban food. The tacos stink... Big greasy falling apart cheap beef would be adequate with some decent salsa, but they generally stick to the sub-gringo temps. If they were the only game in town that would be one thing, but with a bunch of taquerias around, you're better off eating real Mexican or Cubano-real somewhere that makes it better. Have to disagree with Dan I.C. Hands down the worst Mexican food in Broward, this coming from someone who lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico, cooks it and knows his Mex. If you want authentic in Broward, try Baja Cafe on Federal in Deerfield. Mucho gusto!

My girl and I went here for a late lunch, around 3:30PM on a Saturday. The chips and salsa were good. They kept that flowing. All we wanted was a burrito. Since we live right down the street from this place, we've always wanted to try it. Looking through the menu, all items were really pricey. I mean really, $12 for a burrito? We kept it simple and just shared one due to the time. We got a ground beef burrito. Our hopes of having an awesome Mexican food place down the street from us were quickly squashed, as the entre was less than impressive. For the price, we could have easily went to Tijuana Flats or even Chipotle, gotten 2 burritos for that price and have been more satisfied. In the end, we probably won't be going back here. Maybe for the chips/salsa and a soda, but not for the food.

I've only been to this location and the one in Sunrise on a regular basis, but always very happy with my meal. Short Story: Average Mexican Food. A few nice Spanish dishes. Lots of Seating. Great Service. Long Story: We arrived for lunch around noon. The place was moderately busy - but there's a ton of seating available. By 1pm the place was mostly filled. We were seated in the blue dining area and were promptly greeted by a server, who served us fairly quickly, with a smile, and accurately. The Food: Salsa: A . The salsas were very fresh - both hot and medium salsa are served with the tortilla chips) Chips: C+ . The chips were thicker (not light), not warm, and kinda broken up - very average) Chili Con Carne: B . The Chili con Carne was warm. It was served with onions and melted cheese. I wasn't big on all the onions, and the chili itself was average. Arroz con Pollo: B- . I was expecting chicken with rice. I got a cut of dark meat from a roasted chicken with yellow rice thrown over it. To be clear, they serve the chicken on a bone with rice over it. That's not exactly the kind of Arroz con Pollo that I prefer. If I wanted that, I'd go to Boston Market and get a whole chicken for $6 and get a side of rice to go from this place. Anyways, I was expecting some dark meat (not on the bone) with some rice. That's how most Spanish restaurants serve it, at least. Flan: C . The flan was room temperature. The consistency was average. The sweetness was average. It didn't melt in your mouth and didn't beg to be eaten, so I took a few bites and passed on the rest. Tacos: They looked good, but I didn't try them. If I went back, I'd probably just go with the Tacos. Can't grade them, though, because I didn't actually try them. Bottom line: Average Food. Great Service.

For a Mexican restaurant, please do not come here and expect "Mexican" food. The food is okay at best and really does not have much flavor. One of the best things here is the chips and salsa. I have tried burrito's, piccadillo (sp), steaks and a couple of different entrees to say the least, if I never go back its okay with me. For some reason its always pretty full but people must be only drinkings because the food is not their strong point.

I honestly don't get why this place is always full, but then again, there really isn't that many Mexican restaurants nearby. However, if you want Mexican food, don't bother going here. You're better off going to the nearest Taco Bell. The food is NOT fresh, very bland and they cover everything with the greasiest cheese I've ever seen. Honestly, I'm a queso lover, but this is too much. Few, if any, of the dishes are truly Mexican (it's mainly tacos and burritos), and the service is BEYOND HORRID! I have lived here for 13 years and have been going to this place ever since I moved here at least once a month. There food is normally great, but after today I will not be going back for a very long time, if ever. First off our waitress had no personality, she would just stare at us and not ask a question. I ordered the burro lunch and she ordered a grilled chicken taco salad. Our waitress had someone else bring out the burro combo without the salad that was ordered. After a few minutes the waitress finally came out and took back my plate of food and said she would bring it back out when the salad was finished. How was my food done before a salad is beyond me, but to take it back? It didn't make sense. After that we waited a few minutes more and the waitress never came back so we asked someone else for the manager. Manager never showed up so we ended up walking out. Ended up being there for 40 minutes. Long story short I am very disappointed for how big of a fan I am of this place. Will not be going back ANYTIME soon.

Best chips and salsa around, hands down. I visit the North Palm Beach location often, but while heading south for a meeting, I decided to stop here. It is located in a shopping plaza that has very tight parking (directly across the street from JM Lexus). The wait staff was friendly and attentive. The best recommendation I can give you is to get the #9. It is so good.

I've lived in LA for almost 10 years now, but every time I come back home to South Florida I make a trip (or 2, or 5) to La Bamba. it's not fancy, the flavors aren't complex or master-chefish...but it's still AWESOME. This was a bittersweet review and I am unsure how to rate this properly as the food is usually excellent depending on what you eat... But this review was based solely on spotty service you can get, again depending on the waitress or waiter you get... Quick tip as a rule of thumb for Pollo à la Plancha is usually the best thing you can ever eat here... Grilled to perfection with an amazing citrus sauce mixed with a hint of mojo criollo. So stay away from Mayna B (I tried to get a picture but she kept on ducking me) - not for nothing just wanted to make sure you don't get this waitress. On the other hand Paola is always tops and is her personal favorite. Bottom line order the dish I mentioned before and get Paola and you be a five-star camper too! PS make sure you come to the location that I'm reviewing right here on sample road - as the other ones are not as good as this that's a fact ;)

I've been coming to La Bamba for over 20 years back when it was a tiny restaurant. I seriously have not found many casual Mexican-Spanish restaurants as good as La Bamba. They have the best chips complimentary and salsa that are so addicting. My mom and I pretty much get the Palomilla steak every time because it's always so delicious. It's very thin and has raw onions and cilantro on top. The portion is huge too. I'm not usually the type to order the same thing every time, but I just love it! Since I've been there so many times, I've tried many other items as well. The pollo a la plancha is another favorite of mine. It's always perfectly marinated. The snapper Veracruzana is amazing too! They also have the best white rice and margaritas!! I've never had a problem with service either and hardly ever have to wait more than 15-20 min.

Appetizers: From the chicken nachos to the chili con carne to the cheese dip... Where do I start? The nachos are so much better than those bar type you get at most places. The chili has that authentic tase. And the cheese is smooth and creamy, perfect for the tortilla chips they come with. If you eat there you are started with chips and salsa(hot AND mild). Both always super fresh. My main course is usually the steak burro. It's skirt steak(not too chewy, not too tender) with lettuce, tomato, cilantro, and brown sauce wrapped in a tortilla. Also has more brown sauce on top. It also comes with Spanish rice and refried beans with cheese melted on top. This place is the reason I will eat beans. Best burro I've ever eaten. The girlfriend goes the fajitas... Seasoned skirt steak, grilled onions and peppers, shredded cheese, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, and flour tortillas. Whenever a fan of Mexican food comes to visit I take them here.I've heard this location has the best food/service. You will not be disappointed!

Always love Mexican food .I missed the lunch special by a 1/2 hour. But that's OK I love their tacos and ordered 3 from the Ala cart menu (3.50 a piece). The came out piping hot and very delicious. What a great treat after the day I had. I was a little concerned when 2 people arrived after me and asked for the lunch special which I had been told I couldn't have..they were offered the early bird special instead...not a big deal...I am enjoying my drink the food the music and the afternoon here..at peace!!!

Solid Mexican and Spanish food. I LOVE their chips and salsa. I usually wind up getting arroz con pollo which is chicken on the bone (white or dark meat) with yellow rice and plantains. Always good here. Their margaritas are ok. Their tacos, fajitas and enchiladas are good. I like that you have options other than just Mexican food. And they make a good chicken soup. I have to admit, I'm used to authentic Mexican food from Homestead, so this place didn't meet my expectations. They are a Mexican and Spanish food restaurant, but I think they specialize more in the Spanish food. I had the chicken enchiladas in salsa verde. The chicken was rather bland and the salsa verde lacked the flavor I was expecting. The color was a little off, so maybe they mix it with something else. The rice that came with it was more of a Spanish yellow rice as opposed to Mexican rice. The ambiance is great, the food came out quickly, and the waitress was friendly and attentive. The sangria was really good, too. All in all, it was a good experience, but definitely didn't kill my Mexican craving.

Had the Taco Dinner for lunch and it is more than enough food! I even had leftovers. I had chicken tacos and the food was great. Just starting working at Jm Lexus so I'm sure we will be eating here for lunch often. The chicken was delicious even when the crunch tacos got soggy from being a pickup order. A Friday after work stress relief session. Disappointing that there's no Friday Happy Hour, this is Florida after all, but the drinks and salsa still managed to flow. The beer offerings were your standard Mexican brands, so of course I ordered a Yuengling, $2.50 a mug. Ordered nachos, beef & cheese. The beef nachos looked like each nacho was individually prepared, kind of like oysters on the half-shell but with nachos, both orders were consumed so I take that as a thumbs up. Karen was our server and with 10 people and probably 7 different tabs she did a great job of keeping our glasses full. By the time we all left the restaurant was packed, on my next visit I'll save room for food.

Had dinner there last Wednesday night...late...and was pleasantly surprised. I actually picked the location based upon all the cars that were out front, so I figured I was in luck. And lucky I was. Nice atmosphere, and great service. I ordered the Carnitas with flour tortillas, and they were awesome. A nice helping too! Everything tasted fresh and was delicious. Even the mild and spicy salsas were de-lish. The "skinny margarita" was pretty good too. Overall, an excellent restaurant!

This is a pretty good little Mexican/Latin place tucked away in a strip mall. Not something you would find easily unless you were looking for it. I came along with the promise of margaritas. Their house margaritas are good - friends who knew the place ordered and I stole a drink of theirs - but take time to read the menu. They list the nicer ones first and throw the house margaritas in the middle - so I immediately started looking for $9.50 which I thought was cheapest. Apparently I can't see the difference between 9.50 and 6.50! I got a Skinny Margarita because it was made with lime. It was good, but the house margarita has more tang to it. Food is just OK - pretty forgettable fare. We tried enchiladas, an avocado salad, and a taco. Quality is OK. Pretty much OK food. I wouldn't come back for it - the margaritas and free chips and salsa are the good things here.

The best Mexican food I've ever had. I love Mexican food so I'm always interested to try new places and I have yet to find a place that compares to La bamba (even in Mexico). Not only is the food delicious but the service is almost always impeccable. My boyfriend and I visit frequently and have never waited more than 13 minutes for our food. (that was on a very busy night). Best chips and salsa I've ever had. The ingredients taste so fresh and it's free! I recommend the beef tacos and the ground beef flautas!

This place is great! Went during my vacation in Parkland with friends and had a great meal. They have unlimited chips and salsa at the table and the lunch specials are amazing. I got a dish with fried pork cutlets with white rice and beans and plantains. It also came with chicken soup which was just right. My boyfriend got the ropa vieja which was on point. The food can be a bit heavy but good nonetheless. Would like to go back if I were to visit Parkland again.

I ate here upon the recommendation of a friend, who is a regular patron. I ordered the Snapper "Veracruzana" but substituted yellow rice for the white. I am not really a "fish person", as I will only eat very mild, white fish without a strong "fishy" flavor. I had been a little concerned about the snapper because I had never eaten it before, but luckily, it was great and not very fishy at all. I enjoyed the Cacciatore-style sauce (best way I can think to describe it), and the plantains accompanying the main dish were excellent. The portion size was generous and was easily combined into two meals. We also received excellent service - our waitress was very willing to answer questions and to slightly modify several of the orders as we requested. The main reason I did not rate this restaurant 5 stars was that the price was somewhat higher than you might expect based on comparable restaurants and menu items. Also, the salsa was not to my liking. The mild/regular salsa was cilantro-heavy and to me, more closely resembled pico de gallo in that it was mainly raw tomatoes rather than being a blend of tomatoes, peppers, onions, and spices working together in harmony.

We went today while visiting Florida. We both had burritos that were large and good. I had the Pepe burro which didn't have much meat but the steak burro had a ton of meat. The service was great! Our food was out fast. The decor is nice to look at. The only downfall was the chips and salsa in my opinion the spicy salsa was good but the mild salsa was just blended Pico de gallo with no flavor. The chips did not seem that fresh. Overall everything else was great!

Always quick. Always delicious. There is a reason why this place usually has a line past 7 p.m. every day of the week. It's rare to find a place with a large menu that actually yields good food. I think I've had almost every dish on the Mexican side of the menu. The Flautas are one of my favorites (with ground beef). You never want for more food. The portions are huge. Plus, they give you endless chips and salsa (sweet and spicy) to enjoy before and throughout the meal. The Margaritas are awesome and you can get them on the rocks or frozen... and they aren't stingy on the tequila either. Their Spanish food I find isn't AS good as their Mexican, but I still have enjoyed many of the dishes. I even love their refried beans, which I rarely like at other establishments. There are other locations, but this one is my favorite by far.

After living in South Florida for 11 years and eating there probably over 50 times, I can honestly say you are the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. Nothing around here comes close. The food was always consistently delicious. When we come back down to visit, we have already agreed that the first thing we will do will be to eat there, even before checking in to a hotel. I have dreamed about your steak burros, true story! The steak burros along with the steak fajitas and empanizado are truly delicious. The only slight area of improvement would be to train your staff to be a little more friendly, they are super efficient but a little robotic.

This location is just okay. Pros: The food is fine. The place is clean. The prices are very reasonable. Cons: They have WAY more staff than they need here. Most of the staff are just standing around chatting all the time. Usually is appears as though there are more staff in the pace than customers. Strange. In addition to having too many servers, the servers that actually wait on the tables are not very informed, friendly, or helpful. Sometimes they are downright rude. The parking is a bit of a nightmare. They are right next door to an Office Depot, but it's a small strip-type plaza so there is very limited parking directly in front of the restaurant. Summing it up: The Oakland Park location on Federal Hwy is much better. I usually travel all the way out there if I want to visit a LaBamba. This location just doesn't compare. It's the service and salsa that I look forward to at La Bamba and this location just doesn't have the best of either in comparison to the Oakland Park location. We only visit this location if we're in a rush. Even then, we think twice.

This is the T.G.I. Fridays of Tex Mex​​. The menu is packed with options galore. It's not limited to just Mexican either and for some that's a problem because it probably takes away from the authenticity, but you're in Margate of all places, not Guadalupe. The location in Delray is always crowded and seems larger than this location. This location can be challenging because its in a strip center with god know what stores. All I know is Sam Ash is still around and every time I drive by it I'm expecting it to be out of business. God bless them. And Red Wings is a few doors down too. Who the hell is shelling out $300 for construction boots? Most people I know in construction live check to check and are always late on their rent, so please tell me who is shopping here besides Drake? Back to La Bamba. I usually stay away from the beef as it once reminded me of Alpo in the Delray location but the chicken and shrimp dishes are just fine. Last week I had the shrimp fajitas and gobbled it up. The chips are good and their complimentary salsas are on par for solid Tex Mex style. I can't say its the greatest Tex Mex I've had, but I enjoyed my meal here way more than that hipster fugazi place in downtown Delray that shall remain nameless. I think the reality is, until we're in Mexico or a few hundred miles of it, we're never going to truly get 100% authentic Mexican food. But don't let that discourage you because La Bamba is a-ok. I much rather eat this food than even go to Mexico, drink dirty water, sh*t my pants, get sick or worse, kidnapped. I think I'll settle for kinda Mexican food all day over that.

First off, I love Mexican food and always check out other Mexican joints when I travel. This LaBamba (fortunately for me) is only about 10 minutes away and they are FAST. No joke, we had 2 hard tacos, beef flatos rancheros, and cheese enchilada dinner in 5 minutes on a Saturday at 6:00pm. I do not of any restaurants that can deliver 5 star flavor that quickly. Aside from the speed of service, the food is unreal. I've been coming here for well over 15 years and don't plan on stopping anytime soon. Anyone considering a delicious plate of Mexican food, you must stop by. I've been to Mexico and they don't have anything on the flavors LaBamba pumps out of the kitchen. My buddies also said they make a mean burger, so if anyone your bringing doesn't like Mexican...your good to go!! Enjoy!!!!!

I asked for a small queso and they woldnt sell it to me unless I purchased the large one I tried to speak to the manager to let him know I didn't want a large one that I only wanted a small one he said he couldn't serve it nor sell it because the owner wount allow it but that we are not the first customers to complain about it. The response of the manager was unacceptable to me because I have visited their location in Federal Hwy and I have never had a problem with them they do give the small queso to customers. After this I ordered a chicken burrito with rice and black beans..the burrito tasted like plastic the rice was soggy. I couldn't eat my food. My husband ordered a Biste de Palomilla which was also bland no taste or flavor the rice was also sogy the sweet plantains were burned. Total waste of money. I don't think we will come back to this location. They really need to review the way they prepare the food and they need to be a bit more customer oriented.

Insulting to call it "Mexican food". Better off goin to taco bell or Pollo Tropical. The food is horrible. Mole is Tangy and bright tan, the Pork had 75% fat on it, the Beers overpriced, Salsa was made w old tomatoes, Tortillas were microwaved served warm, tacos bathed in grease, Seafood Fajita was ok, but it takes about 1.5hrs to get it served, Service no good, Wait was worse. My party of 6 was crammed into small booth. Great place if you have no idea what real Mexican food is, you wont be let down, (SARCASM). I remember this place being 10x better than my recent Friday night visit. It really has gone downhill. I can get better Mexican food from a taco cart.

This was a really good place to eat, we weren't expecting it to turn out so yummy. The salsa seems like it is made fresh for the chips. The food quality and quantity both were good. The drinks did pack a good punch to them. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. The place does get crowded so get there early for dinner if you can. Overall we had a good meal. The arroz con pollo came out a little different with a whole boned chicken breast but the taste was good. The meat was not smelly but nice and soft. Hands Down Best Mexican Food in NW Broward. Hey Dan where is the best Mexican food around here...... That's easy, La Bamba. I get asked that question a lot and my answer hasn't changed in 15 years. They make the best Crab Burrito or Burro De Mazatlan as they call it. It's fresh crab meat sauteed with the chefs special sauce and onion rolled in a flour tortilla topped with ranchera sauce and melted cheese served with sour cream. Made with real crab not that fake $hit. Glad to see they haven't sacrificed quality ingredients for the bottom line. The Mexican Pizza is awesome too. Its a large crispy flour tortilla covered with refried beans, ground beef, onion, green pepper, red pepper, tomato, mushrooms, cheese and taco sauce. Its best to eat it fresh and not take out because the crust which is a tortilla gets soggy. The black beans and white rice are also a favorite of mine too. Inside info, the owners of La Bamba were cooks at Cielto Lindos. They split from the owner Hector and opened La Bamba. Within time, La Bamba unseated Cielto Lindos as the best Mexican joint in Broward. The menus to both restaurants are practically the same but La Bamba execution is alittle bit better. I still love Hector and his family, so no disrepect intended, just the truth. Service is always top notch, but mostly I sit at the bar and order food to go. Oh yeah, besides Chilis Restaurant, this place makes an outstanding Margarita on the rocks. As for decor, there isn't much to it. Its your basic American Mexican pictures, sombreros, and piñatas. Great food and service at a fair price, what more can you ask for....oh yeah a nice salted rim margarita:) remember to tell them that Dan sent you and stay Hungry!

It's an OK place. We ended up here by accident, as we had an appointment in an unfamiliar area and had to have a lunch. The food was edible, but that's it. First of all, my enchilada was pretty much the same thing as my business partner's burrito. Really, we couldn't tell the difference. The spicy sauce they gave was actually quite decent - which is why 3 and not 2 stars. The space looks OK and is clean, and the service was good. We didn't expect to find authentic Mexican food at this place, and we didn't. I am sure there are other places with better than just edible food in this area.

I've been eating at La Bamba's for at least 10 years now and it really is as good as it gets. In the early 2000's my parents would drag my brothers and I out to this very restaurant to devour the fresh salsa and chips, fight over the last fajita shell at the table and blankly stare at the crab chimichanga my father would order because it was literally the size of my head. Little did I know what impressed me in my youth wasn't even the best part, the crab is actually real crab meat! No fillers or gunk stuff and obviously rice and refried beans on the side. They also have a chicken chimichanga which is just as large a portion and equally delicious. The fajitas are great and the mexican pizza is ridiculously tasty with layers of refried beans, beef, tomatoes, peppers, cheese and sour cream. The service is great and surprisingly the prices have stayed for the most part the same over the years which is rare in addition to the food tasting the exact same way today as it did 10 years ago which is what I love in any restaurant, consistency. Oh! And on Mondays we wear pink (just kidding) have $2.50 house margaritas which after a couple has you walking in a slight zig zag so make sure to bring a DD for some Margarita Monday!! :)

Now, I may not be Hispanic but I do love food and I love flavor. Just some of the meals I absolutely enjoy here are the Ropa Vieja (shredded beef soaked in picadillo) with rice and beans on the side and I believe plantains, the Palomilla, and pollo a la plancha. Now I am not a fan of grilled chicken when it comes to ordering from restaurants because if I want dry chicken, I can eat at home, however the chicken here is far from dry and very tasty. Everything has great fresh flavor that just hugs my taste buds with each bite. Only down side; I always fill up on the complimentary chips and salsa before my meal.

I have been a customer at this location for over 10 years. Tonight I picked up a to go order and the gentlemen working take out assured me the order was right. 45 minutes later i arrive at home from another stop, i realize the order was wrong. I call to inform them of what's going on. He says he tried to chase after me and my response was you had my number why didn't you just call? So i return back to pick up my initial order and he demands for the old food because they can reuse it later he says, keep in mind this is an HOUR later and they refused to refund me my money. Clearly la bamba serves old food even in situations where customers bring it home. I am grossed out being that I have eaten here for YEARS! This was literally a place I went too with friends at family at least once a week.

We try coming Mondays because its Margarita Monday which is awesome! Foods pretty good as well, only problem is every time I come here, the people I am with and myself have stomach problems for the entire week. Not sure whats in the food to do that but I will probably stick with chipotle.

Enjoying Mexican food as much as my family and I do, we have been to some good places and some bad places. This one, is one of the best. Moving to a new city finds you looking for new places to enjoy the foods you like. We struck gold on the first visit to La Bamba II. I had a fantastic meal, as did every one at my table. I know we all tasted everyones food! The Fajitas, were amazing.

I've been coming here for quite some time. Servers are friendly. The food is typical Mexican/Cuban cuisine. Margarita Mondays offer really great deals. I usually get the Palomilia Steak which is always cooked good. Last time I got the aroz con pollo and it was amazing. Their portions also last me for two meals. It's a cheaper version of El Mariachi.

Been coming to good ole La Bamba for years and not once have i left sober, hungry, or not satisfied. Typically, I get the house margarita but switched to peach and strawberry margarita for the night and lets just say im drunk-yelping. I always eat to many chips and salsa to start the dinner off but whatever its too good. I got the carne asada a la tampquena or however you say it, a delicious skirt steak. My girl got the Carnitas and my fork couldnt help but hit her plate.

Its not really Mexican food. If you're a connoisseur of authentic Mexican food and its what you're looking for you will be very disappointed. If you like Tex-Mex food with cheese on everything hard shell, ground beef tacos, flour tortillas instead of corn for everything...You'll love it!.. To me its eatable food.I mean its pretty goodTex-Mex style food. NOT Mexican food... As far as being Spanish food...I did not see Paella on the menu..But I could have overlooked it.It may be there. However if you claim to be "Spanish food" Paella is a must have on the menu.

This place has been pumping out food and drinks for many years now and it is always busy, every night! People love this place. The have the best chips and salsa hands down I have ever had! Their prices have gone up some over the years to a point that it seems to be too much now. The food is good, the service is good, but the prices are now too high. Absolutely the best Mexican/Spanish restaurant in Broward County. I've been eating here for years and you can't beat the quality and quantity of food you get for a very reasonable price. Always start off with a cheese quesadilla. My favorite dishes include the Carne Asada a la Tampiquena, which is a huge skirt steak, accompanied by a cheese enchilada, rice and retried beans. It's fabulous. Also, love the Pollo a la Plancha. A simple grilled chicken breast smothered in onions. Served with black beans, rice and sweet plantains. Service is always great and the staff is very friendly.

This was my second time at a La Bamba Mexican restaurant and as it is good food I still think Rocco's Tacos is better. We went for cinco de mayo so of course the wait was over an hour. Totally expected for the biggest Mexican day of the year. As always they provide complimentary chips and salsa for the tables. The salsa was horrible though. Tasted like there was rubbing alcohol in it. The food was good. I got a burrito. El Locco Burro I believe it was called. It was suppose to come with guacamole but they ran out! Their pitchers of Margaritas were a good deal. My boyfriend and I managed to get 8 rocks glasses out of it for $25. Of course Id go back there again but like I said before if I had the choice I'd head to Rocco's instead.

We have been coming to this place for the past several years with family and friends and have found the food to be very tasty and the service usually very friendly and attentive except for this last visit when our server was not as friendly as what we have been used to (he must have been having some personal issues so I will excuse him this time and continue with a 4 star rating based on the history of my previous visits) Every meal starts with complimentary nachos and some great Salsa dips, try the spicy one! My favorite dish here is the Pork Steak which always comes well seasoned and done to perfection. There are many sides to choose from and the quantities are huge! The regular NY Strip is good as is the Grilled Chicken breast, the Fried Pork Chunks and the shrimp Creole is also good as is most of the Mexican menu. This place is always busy and the only negative point is that they do not take reservations and one may have to wait 45 mins to an hour on week ends but prolly worth the wait! We will be back!

My favorite mexican restaurant in South Florida since I moved here. I have tried many others, but they don't compare. La Bamba's food is consistently good, reasonably priced and they don't fake the tequila in the margaritas! It is busy during lunch and dinner hours so be prepared to wait if you arrive at these times, but that is the only negative I can say about this restaurant. The food is usually served rather quickly even during busy times. I would highly recommend.

I am so glad that I crossed Yelp paths with Dan! It would have taken me months to find the good eats! Took the time to write down his suggestions and stuff them in my wallet.... Thank goodness because I was in the mood for some mexican food today and it just so happens, I was right next to La Bamba! Now, I will confess that I actually tried to go there last night, but got scared when I saw the line that practically wrapped the building. Sunday at 3pm was a much better pace for me (and my growling stomach!) i had read the chips and salsa were the best. I was somewhat skeptical and knew that Mexican food would be the most difficult to please me. You see, I'm from Houston where the best of the best Tex-Mex exists, AND I lived in Mexico City where the ONLY authentic mexican food exists (no one can duplicate it) so I am a total Mexican food snob. The salsa WAS fantastic. I mean, we demolished the first 2 bowls and then later demolished the third as we poured it on our food! It was so good! In the interest of making this review short and sweet (too late for that!) I'll just list the best parts: Salsa - awesome Fajitas (beef and chicken) - great quality with lots of onions and pepper w/ fresh quac too Beef Taco - superb (with homemade shell) chicken enchilada - YUM! Room for improvement: Service! Granted I think we just got bum luck because the other waitresses seemed to be great and very personable. My salsa actually had more personality than my waiter. He was a complete dud. AND SOOOOO SLOW! Tortillas! They reminded me of Mission flour tortillas that you buy at Publix (Even I don't buy those unless I'm in a major pinch). I'm not saying they have to make their tortillas (even though it would be awesome) but at least buy some that taste a little more authentic than the super thick flour ones.... That's it! That's all the complaints I have. Everything else was wonderful and exceptional. Thanks again Dan!

This was one of my go-to restos when I lived in the area years ago, so when I was in town last month I decided to have dinner there, for old times' sake...and its STILL as good as I remember! The food is just basic Mexican and Latin American offerings, but the quality is consistent, and no matter what I order, I am always satisfied. This time around I had picadillo with black beans, rice and maduros...so good! Love the laid-back vibe and the friendly service. Nice to see that some things are just as great as you remember them.

I haven't been to La Bamba in months but I used to come here a lot and I remember never being disappointed with their food.Their menu is cool because it's separated by countries (Mexico and Spain) and it's pretty extensive. This is a no frills kinda place-- you get there, they seat you, and one of the bus boys throws some chips on your table with 3 different salsas. Drinks are cheap and so is the food so you can't expect excellent quality ingredients but it's good enough to come with some friends and have a good time. Also, you might as well order their fajitas because you're gonna leave smelling like it, anyway. You'll know what I mean when one of the waiters walks by you with their skillets. They have some pretty good lunch specials and service is pretty quick during lunch hours. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're looking for somewhere to go with your co-workers on your lunch break. As for dinner, this particular location is their best one and it's always packed at night.

I've been coming to La Bamba since I'm a kid. I have always loved their homemade salsa and chips that they bring out before you order your meal. The portions they serve are always large, even if its lunch. I can rarely finish my entire meal.They have a rather large selection of appetizers and main dishes. I'm not even sure what to recommend, as all of their food is very tasty! Being that I am lactose intolerant, eating Mexican is usually a no-go, but they are always accommodating to my food allergies.

Come here a lot since it's right down street. I have never gotten a bad meal here. The margaritas are awesome and inexpensive. The chips and salsa are always fresh. The black beans and white rice are my favorite. I usually get the chicken flautas with black beans and rice and I always have enough to take home. You'll never leave here hungry. The staff are very nice and even on a busy night the wait times are never too long. I would recommend this place.

Never had a bad meal here. Granted, most of the food is the heavy duty, weight gain 3000, make you go to sleep Mexican food, but they do it well. Place is always crowded, but they turn over tables in an efficient/non-shovey way that gets people in quick. Had the fish tacos for the first time ever on my last visit and they were incredible. Light, with grilled fish, Talapia I assume. Nice side sauces and served with a choice of Caribbean beans & rice or the Mexican version. Was the lightest thing I've ever had there, but the beans & rice as well as the chips still worked to make me sluggish in the afternoon. But this is a great place, just be ready for a nap.

A total of 10 teachers arrived here on a Friday afternoon at 3:30. The server told us that happy hour begins at 4. We asked for the manager to see if he could do anything for us since we planned on eating and drinking for a bit. The manager came over and was very indifferent. We explained that we teach students with special needs at a local school, and wondered about bumping up happy hour for us (which other businesses have done). He was very short and abrupt and said there was no happy hour on Friday. So I asked, maybe there is something he could do to help us out? His answer was no and he walked away. Showed no interest in us and quite frankly it was rude. There are nicer ways to say no. So we ordered our drinks and they were incredibly watered down. Full priced drinks watered down? No thanks! The waitress came back over, takes ONE person's order, and walks away. We had to get the "delightful" manager over again to order some more drinks. The server was nice, but the manager was not, and made me not want to order anymore, which I did not. We will NOT be back with our 10 people to order food. I grew up in restaurants my whole life & it is so easy to do something to make a group of 10 locals happy, instead of upsetting them and risking them all not coming back. Before leaving we went to use the restroom and there were two LaBamba staff members in one stall together, another employee in the other stall, and one stall covered in toilet paper. Thanks LaBamba for a stressful, watered down afternoon.

Do you like cheap, quick and tasty Mexican food? You've come to the right place. Are you looking for authenticity ... well, you'll find it, but not nearly as much as you might like. La Bamba is what it is, starting from the name on down. It's Americanized Mexican, which is perfectly fine if that's what you are in the mood for. This is a giant restaurant (and I mean giant, it just keeps going back with more tables.) We walked in and needed a table for 6 and even though it was packed, they sat us right away. Love that. The walls are painted with bright colors and pictures of south of the border. Again, they're going for a theme here, not for the real deal. Your menu is basic Mexican fare, which means if you're looking for a taco or burrito or enchalada, you'll find it. And cheap! Cheap cheap! Less than $10 for a ton of food cheap. Love it. And tons of different deals on things like magaritas (which were also cheap and strong.) (They also do have a section of their many page menu that has unique and authentic Mexican dishes, so if you're feeling adventurous, they have the options for you.) The food was good, nothing amazing but just what I was looking for. The service was fast but nothing special. They know how to take an order, get it in and get the food to you, no question about it. I enjoyed myself here for sure. Want that classic not-classic-at-all Americanized Mexican food? La Bamba is a tune you can dance too.

OLE!! Mexican heaven on earth. I've been coming here since probably around 1991 (or when they opened). The food is superior 99.9% of the time. Everything is hot and tasty! My 3 personal recommendations are the Pollo Ala Plancha (Grilled Chicken with sautéed onions - YUM), The Burrito (can't go wrong) or the Grilled Chicken Taco Salad. They get on a heavy wait DAILY during peak hours so be prepared!!! The prices are a little high and rising, but hey, what expense isn't? The only MAJOR flaw this place has is if you order take out, they will not give you any chips. You'd have to pay for chips and salsa. You can order $200 worth of take out and you won't get 1 chip for free. Though you can sit at the restaurant order a water and a cup of soup and eat chips and salsa until it's coming out of your ears... WTF? Regardless, after having this knowledge for years, I just eat in VS. take out - problem solved :)

Well I can say that I've been a huge fan of La Bamba in Delray Beach for quite some time. I decided to try my local La Bamba only to be disappointed. The night started with a waitress who appeared to be so busy that she was trying to rush us. All was pretty smooth until the dinner started to arrive. My wife ordered a chicken enchilada and I ordered shrimp fajitas. The waiter brought me a dirty plate and I politely asked him to bring me a new plate because the one he originally brought me was dirty. He returns ten minutes later with a bread plate. I then ask him if he could please bring me a normal sized plate to where he has the nerve to ask me "oh you need a bigger plate" to where I point to my large skillet of shrimp fajitas plus the other plate with toppings topped off by a container with tortillas. He returns five minutes later with a normal sized plate. Now that my issue was resolved, my wife begins to cut into her enchilada to find out that they brought her beef instead of chicken. I then tried calling the manager while simultaneously putting together a fajita, to find that the tortillas were stale and felt as if they just purchased them at the grocery store, took them out of the bag and put them on my plate. As the manager arrives, I inform him about the wrong order and ask him if the restaurant steams the tortillas like most mexican restaurants. He appears dumbfounded and says "steam? what is steam?" and calls the waitress. How is it that the manager at a restaurant in the United States of America doesn't know how to speak English? The waitress finally gets there and I ask her the question..."does your restaurant steam the tortillas?" and she responds "We have flour and corn tortillas" I then ask again to where she responds in an annoyed tone "we don't do that here!" Well unfortunately for her, she learned that night to not bite the hand that feeds her because I left her $0.01. Just enough to show her that I didn't forget to tip but enough to show her that she sucked at life. Stick to La Bamba in Delray Beach it is far better in both quality, location, and service.

This location of La Bamba is fantastic. Coming here for years and not been disappointed. The house margaritas are tasty and a great value. Nice homemade chips and fresh salsa, hot and regular. The arroz con pollo is the best I've had anywhere---super-tender chicken and amazingly flavorful rice, and a really generous portion. The pollo ala plancha is great too, as well as the pork chops--extremely flavorful with top-notch black beans and rice. Yummy tacos too.

This is my local mexican restaurant. It is pretty standard americanized mexican. Nothing I have had food wise has been exceptional but not bad. The salsa is good and comes in regular and hot. The menu has a little more variety than some mexican joints there are spanish specialties again good but not exceptional. It is popular but seats always seem to be available. The crowd is local and diverse, frequently there are fairly large parties. Service is prompt and courteous. Now for the best part inexpensive, well made strong margaritas. The bartenders seem to make them as if they would be drinking em themselves.

So I should probably warn that I'm a bit biased...I've been coming here since I was a kid and it may be the first real Mexican (Taco Bell just doesn't count) that I ever had. However, I love this place and it holds huge nostalgia for me. The decor has changed a bit in recent years and is now a bit more "festive," but the quality of the food has remained the same. When you sit down you are immediately given a basket of piping hot chips (which are not too greasy), and fresh, zesty salsa, full of tomatoes, onions and cilantro. Unlike some places, they will bring you as much as you want, and you can even buy a bag (and cup for the salsa) to go. Personally I find the chicken to be flavorful, and well cooked. The only caveat is, as my father says "the chicken enchiladas taste like the chicken tacos taste like the chicken tostadas." With a bit of trepidation I admit, this does seem to be true. They cook a well-seasoned batch of shredded chicken and use it for all the dishes so that the only difference is the casing (crunchy or soft tortilla made of corn or flour). That being said, all of these dishes are very tasty. The fajitas are huge and the filling (meat, chicken or veggies) come on a literally sizzling skillet. The tacos are moist and stuffed with lettuce and cheese like a traditional (or rather, Americanized) version should be. The chicken nachos are tender (at least the chicken part is) and they spread the chips out so every chip gets covered in cheese, then bake them to give them an extra crunch. Their lunch specials are great, and they are very quick to bring you each course so you can get back to work. The soups that come with them are also spectacular. While the cream of chicken is my absolute favorite (only available on Thurs.), the regular chicken soup is also very good, and is made even better when you add some crumbled up tortilla chips. The fruit margaritas are blended to cover up the tequila and pack a serious punch. The flan is only ok, but the fried ice cream is better than most places (somehow the combination of crispy corn flakes, graham crackers and caramel with cold vanilla ice cream just works). However, if you decide to come here for the cuban side of the menu...don't. The palomilla is a bit dry and disappointing (go elsewhere if you want cuban food). The mexican dishes really are the stars of this more Americanized, less traditional restaurant. Overall this place is a wonderful place to go with a group of friends, or just to go to grab a bite to eat and watch the game (all rooms have tvs with sporting events on). Not the most upscale Mexican, but definitely delicious!

The service here is very slow. Of course we had a wait on a Friday night. When we arrived out number was 87. They were on #52. I would say we waited about 30-35 minutes. Which is again not bad for a firsts night. I had the pollo plancha dish here. It was delicious and worth the wait. I do want to say that a lot of the meals come with black bean soup. I wished my waitress told me that information when I ordered the black bean soup with the pollo plancha dish. :/ anyhow, the service was very slow. Our chips and dips came out first. Half way through the ships the water we ordered came out. I'm glad I didn't choke while eating the chips before the water arrived to out table. Even with the slow service the food was worth the wait. The chicken plancha with sautéed onion was delicious and the rice was perfect. Black bean soup was not tasty at all. It seems like they boiled some black beans in a little bit of water. The chip is ok. It was a little thick and great for my taste. The mild dip needs flavor. The spicy dip was ok. This is not the place u want to go if u want to eat chips and dip. They don't do a good job on chips, dip, or black bean soup.

My first time going there I was like where are we going? Then I saw the place from the outside. Let me just say looks where deceiving because when you walk in, it smells so good! The lighting in there is on point to where you can see everything, where your going to what you are eating, but it's dim enough to give you that nice relaxing dinner light. The place is well put together and most important it's clean! The chips an salsa are to die for! The salsa is homemade!!! You can get mild or hot, both are a must try because of the consistency of them. The mild is little runny while the hot is thicker. The steak quesadilla and chicken fajita are amazing dishes there an they are a must try! They will for sure delight your taste buds.

El Loco Burro double beans no rice with sour cream instead of guacamole Their chips and salsa are always good and always fresh. The ultimate margarita on the rocks with salt is the way to go when it comes to drinks with your dinner. The service is always great and there's nothing on the menu you won't like. The popularity of this place is obvious because there are times you'll wait up to an hour for a table but it's worth the wait. If you have room for dessert try the fried ice cream.

I had heard so many things about La Bamba's over the years... I moved quite close to this one, and finally figured I should give it a try. I really was hoping it would live up to the hype. First of all, expect a wait. When we walked up, there were a ton of people waiting outside, so when I put my name in, I was surprised when they said it was only about a 10 minute wait. Turns out this place is gigantic... that, and Bryan O. is right - they turn the tables over efficiently. Our server was nice but aloof, and they all seemed to have this all down to a science. The food itself is pretty tasty. The chips and salsa were good, and when they saw that we had mixed the mild and hot together, they brought us some more. Our waiter was also very quick to refill our drinks. I ordered two crunchy ground beef tacos (from the a la carte menu, since I don't really like rice and beans), and they weren't the store-bought taco shells, so it was more authentic-tasting. I will warn you about the margaritas, however. Mine was so strong that it was actually painful to drink. I couldn't do it. I don't drink alcoholic beverages to get drunk, I do it because I like the flavor. This one had no flavor other than fire going down your throat. I left the drink practically untouched. I couldn't help but compare this place to Cielito Lindo (my favorite Mexican restaurant, in Pompano), and I like their food better. The quality at both places is good, but Cielito Lindo's beef has better tacos (the beef is seasoned more, and the shells are crunchier). Still, this place comes second, and I absolutely will come back here. It's so ridiculously close to me, how could I not?

I haven't eaten at La Bamba for about a year until tonight. I was happy to see that nothing has changed. This restaurant provides Mexican food for the pan-Latin American community of Broward County. They also serve a Latin American take on a few Spanish dishes like paella. Their Mexican food tastes good, unlike many other so-called Mexican restaurants in the area (e.g. Tijuana Taxi). Everything I have eaten at La Bamba tastes good, tacos, enchiladas etc. Is it REAL Mexican food, the food eaten (anywhere) in Mexico? OF COURSE NOT. Where in the U.S. can you get the tacos and tortas of the taquerias of Mexico City in the 60's? Do these foods exist anywhere, even in Mexico? La Bamba continues to be one of the few Mexican/Spanish places that seems to be able to get you in and out quickly, with some good Mexican/Spanish food. They have hot fresh tortilla chips, with a fresh mild salsa, and a good hot salsa. Nice flavor but not so spicy you can't feel your tongue. And they keep filling your bowl- which can be addictive. Personally, the Mexican food is my least favorite - I am not a fan of heavily sauced burritos, chimichangas or bland rice and beans. However, what they do well, they do extremely well. They have really good fajitas that come out sizzling with an excellent flavor. They are always good. They use real crab in their salad with crab meat and crab nachos. The shrimp scampi is delicious, and their side of chicken tacos is great. They even make a good hamburger! The bar is fun to hang out in, the bartenders have been there a long time and know the regulars, but also are attentive to new people. On Monday they have $2.50 frozen margaritas with a entree purchase, and I love their frozen margaritas with a floater on top. Somehow they manage to get you in and out quickly, even large groups, but you never feel you are being rushed. I have not been to any other La Bamba location, but this one has been good and beats such places as El Mariachi, Chipolte, etc. Casual and family style inside, loud but bearable noise level. Even on weekends when people are waiting, you can always get a drink and sit outside while waiting. The servers are friendly and quick. All in all, a great restaurant for some good food and great drinks! So average Mexican food, great fajitas and some other dishes. Worth the trip.

I went to La Bamba II again on Saturday and I'm now a fan. I remembered enjoying the beef tacos on my previous visit so this time I just ordered tacos. The tacos are superb! The fillings are pretty normal - but very fresh and tasty. However what makes it special is the shell. You can tell the shell is fried to order and it makes a huge difference. They're very crispy and quite thin - which is what I like. Go for the tacos here.

Decent picante. Decent Cuban place passing for bad Mex or bad Mex with decent Cuban food. The tacos stink... Big greasy falling apart cheap beef would be adequate with some decent salsa, but they generally stick to the sub-gringo temps. If they were the only game in town that would be one thing, but with a bunch of taquerias around, you're better off eating real Mexican or Cubano-real somewhere that makes it better. Have to disagree with Dan I.C. Hands down the worst Mexican food in Broward, this coming from someone who lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico, cooks it and knows his Mex. My girl and I went here for a late lunch, around 3:30PM on a Saturday. The chips and salsa were good. They kept that flowing. All we wanted was a burrito. Since we live right down the street from this place, we've always wanted to try it. Looking through the menu, all items were really pricey. I mean really, $12 for a burrito? We kept it simple and just shared one due to the time. We got a ground beef burrito. Our hopes of having an awesome Mexican food place down the street from us were quickly squashed, as the entre was less than impressive. For the price, we could have easily went to Tijuana Flats or even Chipotle, gotten 2 burritos for that price and have been more satisfied. In the end, we probably won't be going back here. Maybe for the chips/salsa and a soda, but not for the food.

Short Story: Average Mexican Food. A few nice Spanish dishes. Lots of Seating. Great Service. Long Story: We arrived for lunch around noon. The place was moderately busy - but there's a ton of seating available. By 1pm the place was mostly filled. We were seated in the blue dining area and were promptly greeted by a server, who served us fairly quickly, with a smile, and accurately. The Food: Salsa: A . The salsas were very fresh - both hot and medium salsa are served with the tortilla chips) Chips: C+ . The chips were thicker (not light), not warm, and kinda broken up - very average) Chili Con Carne: B . The Chili con Carne was warm. It was served with onions and melted cheese. I wasn't big on all the onions, and the chili itself was average. Arroz con Pollo: B- . I was expecting chicken with rice. I got a cut of dark meat from a roasted chicken with yellow rice thrown over it. To be clear, they serve the chicken on a bone with rice over it. That's not exactly the kind of Arroz con Pollo that I prefer. If I wanted that, I'd go to Boston Market and get a whole chicken for $6 and get a side of rice to go from this place. Anyways, I was expecting some dark meat (not on the bone) with some rice. That's how most Spanish restaurants serve it, at least. Flan: C . The flan was room temperature. The consistency was average. The sweetness was average. It didn't melt in your mouth and didn't beg to be eaten, so I took a few bites and passed on the rest. Tacos: They looked good, but I didn't try them. If I went back, I'd probably just go with the Tacos. Can't grade them, though, because I didn't actually try them. Bottom line: Average Food. Great Service.

For a Mexican restaurant, please do not come here and expect "Mexican" food. The food is okay at best and really does not have much flavor. One of the best things here is the chips and salsa. I have lived here for 13 years and have been going to this place ever since I moved here at least once a month. There food is normally great, but after today I will not be going back for a very long time, if ever. First off our waitress had no personality, she would just stare at us and not ask a question. I ordered the burro lunch and she ordered a grilled chicken taco salad. Our waitress had someone else bring out the burro combo without the salad that was ordered. After a few minutes the waitress finally came out and took back my plate of food and said she would bring it back out when the salad was finished. How was my food done before a salad is beyond me, but to take it back? It didn't make sense. After that we waited a few minutes more and the waitress never came back so we asked someone else for the manager. Manager never showed up so we ended up walking out. Ended up being there for 40 minutes. Long story short I am very disappointed for how big of a fan I am of this place. Will not be going back ANYTIME soon.

It is located in a shopping plaza that has very tight parking (directly across the street from JM Lexus). The wait staff was friendly and attentive. But this review was based solely on spotty service you can get, again depending on the waitress or waiter you get... Quick tip as a rule of thumb for Pollo à la Plancha is usually the best thing you can ever eat here... Grilled to perfection with an amazing citrus sauce mixed with a hint of mojo criollo. So stay away from Mayna B (I tried to get a picture but she kept on ducking me) - not for nothing just wanted to make sure you don't get this waitress. On the other hand Paola is always tops and is her personal favorite. Bottom line order the dish I mentioned before and get Paola and you be a five-star camper too! PS make sure you come to the location that I'm reviewing right here on sample road - as the other ones are not as good as this that's a fact ;)

I've been coming to La Bamba for over 20 years back when it was a tiny restaurant. I seriously have not found many casual Mexican-Spanish restaurants as good as La Bamba. They have the best chips complimentary and salsa that are so addicting. My mom and I pretty much get the Palomilla steak every time because it's always so delicious. It's very thin and has raw onions and cilantro on top. The portion is huge too. I'm not usually the type to order the same thing every time, but I just love it! Since I've been there so many times, I've tried many other items as well. The pollo a la plancha is another favorite of mine. It's always perfectly marinated. The snapper Veracruzana is amazing too! They also have the best white rice and margaritas!! I've never had a problem with service either and hardly ever have to wait more than 15-20 min.

Appetizers: From the chicken nachos to the chili con carne to the cheese dip... Where do I start? The nachos are so much better than those bar type you get at most places. The chili has that authentic tase. And the cheese is smooth and creamy, perfect for the tortilla chips they come with. If you eat there you are started with chips and salsa(hot AND mild). Both always super fresh. My main course is usually the steak burro. It's skirt steak(not too chewy, not too tender) with lettuce, tomato, cilantro, and brown sauce wrapped in a tortilla. Also has more brown sauce on top. It also comes with Spanish rice and refried beans with cheese melted on top. This place is the reason I will eat beans. Best burro I've ever eaten. The girlfriend goes the fajitas... Seasoned skirt steak, grilled onions and peppers, shredded cheese, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, and flour tortillas. Whenever a fan of Mexican food comes to visit I take them here.I've heard this location has the best food/service. You will not be disappointed!

I have to admit, I'm used to authentic Mexican food from Homestead, so this place didn't meet my expectations. They are a Mexican and Spanish food restaurant, but I think they specialize more in the Spanish food. I had the chicken enchiladas in salsa verde. The chicken was rather bland and the salsa verde lacked the flavor I was expecting. The color was a little off, so maybe they mix it with something else. The rice that came with it was more of a Spanish yellow rice as opposed to Mexican rice. The ambiance is great, the food came out quickly, and the waitress was friendly and attentive. The sangria was really good, too. All in all, it was a good experience, but definitely didn't kill my Mexican craving.

A Friday after work stress relief session. Disappointing that there's no Friday Happy Hour, this is Florida after all, but the drinks and salsa still managed to flow. The beer offerings were your standard Mexican brands, so of course I ordered a Yuengling, $2.50 a mug. Ordered nachos, beef & cheese. The beef nachos looked like each nacho was individually prepared, kind of like oysters on the half-shell but with nachos, both orders were consumed so I take that as a thumbs up. Karen was our server and with 10 people and probably 7 different tabs she did a great job of keeping our glasses full. This is a pretty good little Mexican/Latin place tucked away in a strip mall. Not something you would find easily unless you were looking for it. I came along with the promise of margaritas. Their house margaritas are good - friends who knew the place ordered and I stole a drink of theirs - but take time to read the menu. They list the nicer ones first and throw the house margaritas in the middle - so I immediately started looking for $9.50 which I thought was cheapest. Apparently I can't see the difference between 9.50 and 6.50! I got a Skinny Margarita because it was made with lime. It was good, but the house margarita has more tang to it. Food is just OK - pretty forgettable fare. We tried enchiladas, an avocado salad, and a taco. Quality is OK. Pretty much OK food. I wouldn't come back for it - the margaritas and free chips and salsa are the good things here.

This place is great! Went during my vacation in Parkland with friends and had a great meal. They have unlimited chips and salsa at the table and the lunch specials are amazing. The food can be a bit heavy but good nonetheless. Would like to go back if I were to visit Parkland again.

I ate here upon the recommendation of a friend, who is a regular patron. I ordered the Snapper "Veracruzana" but substituted yellow rice for the white. I am not really a "fish person", as I will only eat very mild, white fish without a strong "fishy" flavor. I had been a little concerned about the snapper because I had never eaten it before, but luckily, it was great and not very fishy at all. I enjoyed the Cacciatore-style sauce (best way I can think to describe it), and the plantains accompanying the main dish were excellent. The portion size was generous and was easily combined into two meals. We also received excellent service - our waitress was very willing to answer questions and to slightly modify several of the orders as we requested. The main reason I did not rate this restaurant 5 stars was that the price was somewhat higher than you might expect based on comparable restaurants and menu items. Also, the salsa was not to my liking. The mild/regular salsa was cilantro-heavy and to me, more closely resembled pico de gallo in that it was mainly raw tomatoes rather than being a blend of tomatoes, peppers, onions, and spices working together in harmony.

Always quick. Always delicious. There is a reason why this place usually has a line past 7 p.m. every day of the week. It's rare to find a place with a large menu that actually yields good food. I think I've had almost every dish on the Mexican side of the menu. The Flautas are one of my favorites (with ground beef). You never want for more food. The portions are huge. Plus, they give you endless chips and salsa (sweet and spicy) to enjoy before and throughout the meal. The Margaritas are awesome and you can get them on the rocks or frozen... and they aren't stingy on the tequila either. The only slight area of improvement would be to train your staff to be a little more friendly, they are super efficient but a little robotic.

Just came home from another dinner here. I had to take away a star because of the server. I don't like getting the check before I'm done ordering. I had to finish work before I could enjoy the meal. We ordered then asked for a to go box and at that point we were given the check. Really! I don't like being rushed.

This location is just okay. Pros: The food is fine. The place is clean. The prices are very reasonable. Cons: They have WAY more staff than they need here. Most of the staff are just standing around chatting all the time. Usually is appears as though there are more staff in the pace than customers. Strange. In addition to having too many servers, the servers that actually wait on the tables are not very informed, friendly, or helpful. Sometimes they are downright rude. The parking is a bit of a nightmare. They are right next door to an Office Depot, but it's a small strip-type plaza so there is very limited parking directly in front of the restaurant. Summing it up: The Oakland Park location on Federal Hwy is much better. I usually travel all the way out there if I want to visit a LaBamba. This location just doesn't compare. It's the service and salsa that I look forward to at La Bamba and this location just doesn't have the best of either in comparison to the Oakland Park location. We only visit this location if we're in a rush. Even then, we think twice.

I've been going here for years. The food is always delicious and the service is usually on point too. I love the top sirloin and cheese enchilada dish. I usually get a side of plantains with it because they are amazingly good. And there's always left overs for the next day, which is a plus. However, today I decided to place an order for pickup. The guy who answered the phone was just a tad rude. And when I arrived home with my food, it was a little cold. I live maybe 10 minutes away. Besides that, I've never really had any bad experiences with La Bamba. That's why I give them 4 stars.

This is the T.G.I. Fridays of Tex Mex​​. The menu is packed with options galore. It's not limited to just Mexican either and for some that's a problem because it probably takes away from the authenticity, but you're in Margate of all places, not Guadalupe. The location in Delray is always crowded and seems larger than this location. This location can be challenging because its in a strip center with god know what stores. All I know is Sam Ash is still around and every time I drive by it I'm expecting it to be out of business. God bless them. And Red Wings is a few doors down too. Who the hell is shelling out $300 for construction boots? Most people I know in construction live check to check and are always late on their rent, so please tell me who is shopping here besides Drake? Back to La Bamba. I usually stay away from the beef as it once reminded me of Alpo in the Delray location but the chicken and shrimp dishes are just fine. Last week I had the shrimp fajitas and gobbled it up. The chips are good and their complimentary salsas are on par for solid Tex Mex style. I can't say its the greatest Tex Mex I've had, but I enjoyed my meal here way more than that hipster fugazi place in downtown Delray that shall remain nameless. I think the reality is, until we're in Mexico or a few hundred miles of it, we're never going to truly get 100% authentic Mexican food. But don't let that discourage you because La Bamba is a-ok. I much rather eat this food than even go to Mexico, drink dirty water, sh*t my pants, get sick or worse, kidnapped. I think I'll settle for kinda Mexican food all day over that.

First off, I love Mexican food and always check out other Mexican joints when I travel. This LaBamba (fortunately for me) is only about 10 minutes away and they are FAST. No joke, we had 2 hard tacos, beef flatos rancheros, and cheese enchilada dinner in 5 minutes on a Saturday at 6:00pm. I do not of any restaurants that can deliver 5 star flavor that quickly. Aside from the speed of service, the food is unreal. I've been coming here for well over 15 years and don't plan on stopping anytime soon. Anyone considering a delicious plate of Mexican food, you must stop by. I've been to Mexico and they don't have anything on the flavors LaBamba pumps out of the kitchen. My buddies also said they make a mean burger, so if anyone your bringing doesn't like Mexican...your good to go!! Enjoy!!!!!

Great vegetarian fajitas! Ask for veggies well done, and they will be dark and caramelized. So good! Pico de gallo is really good. Chips were warm and light, and 2 salsas (hot and mild) to dip.

Average. Disappointed since the place was packed. Drinks were good. Service was great. Food was neither. Not bad but certainly could be better. Odds are that MSG reigns supreme in their kitchen. Fajita beef was unevenly sized and tough. What's with the no sizzle? Half the fun with fajitas is letting them cook on their cast iron skillet.

I have been to every LaBamba and this is my favorite for a few reasons. It's easy to get to, the parking is much easier than other locations and this is busy but not so bust you wait forever for a table. I usually get some sort of combo or fajitas. The Margaritas are pretty spectacular and the chips and salsa are pretty delicious as well (the hot salsa is pretty hot so make sure you have a drink in hand)

Probably the best place to get Cuban and Mexican food in South Florida. My family and friends have gone here forever and it's alway amazing. LUNCH TIME IS PACKED!!! This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. The food is great with large portions and the Margaritas are spectacular. Hidden in a strip mall in Margate, it is worth the hunt for everybody. Don't fill up on the chips and salsa!

I asked for a small queso and they woldnt sell it to me unless I purchased the large one I tried to speak to the manager to let him know I didn't want a large one that I only wanted a small one he said he couldn't serve it nor sell it because the owner wount allow it but that we are not the first customers to complain about it. The response of the manager was unacceptable to me because I have visited their location in Federal Hwy and I have never had a problem with them they do give the small queso to customers. After this I ordered a chicken burrito with rice and black beans..the burrito tasted like plastic the rice was soggy. I couldn't eat my food. My husband ordered a Biste de Palomilla which was also bland no taste or flavor the rice was also sogy the sweet plantains were burned. Total waste of money. I don't think we will come back to this location. They really need to review the way they prepare the food and they need to be a bit more customer oriented.

The best mexican and spanish food you will find! The chili con carne is the absolute BEST chili in life. The enchiladas are always spot on fantastic. The tacos are large overflowing with goodness. Their pollo a la plancha has the greayest flavor for such a simple looking dish. It is astounding they can make it taste so succulent. For dessert you cannot go wrong with the flan! Margarita Mondays is always worth it!

Insulting to call it "Mexican food". Better off goin to taco bell or Pollo Tropical. The food is horrible. Mole is Tangy and bright tan, the Pork had 75% fat on it, the Beers overpriced, Salsa was made w old tomatoes, Tortillas were microwaved served warm, tacos bathed in grease, Seafood Fajita was ok, but it takes about 1.5hrs to get it served, Service no good, Wait was worse. My party of 6 was crammed into small booth. Great place if you have no idea what real Mexican food is, you wont be let down, (SARCASM). I remember this place being 10x better than my recent Friday night visit. It really has gone downhill. I can get better Mexican food from a taco cart.

This was a really good place to eat, we weren't expecting it to turn out so yummy. The salsa seems like it is made fresh for the chips. The food quality and quantity both were good. The drinks did pack a good punch to them. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. The place does get crowded so get there early for dinner if you can. Overall we had a good meal. The arroz con pollo came out a little different with a whole boned chicken breast but the taste was good. The meat was not smelly but nice and soft. I am glad they ask you the preference of dark meat or white meat when you order. I would defi recommend this place.

We've been coming to La Bamba over the past few years and we always get good food and good service. The restaurant can get real busy at lunch time but we've never had to wait. The servers are real nice and attentive. The ambiance is spanish mexican, typical of what you woud find in a mexican restaurant. The portions are huge so bring your appetite. Hands Down Best Mexican Food in NW Broward. Hey Dan where is the best Mexican food around here...... That's easy, La Bamba. I get asked that question a lot and my answer hasn't changed in 15 years. They make the best Crab Burrito or Burro De Mazatlan as they call it. It's fresh crab meat sauteed with the chefs special sauce and onion rolled in a flour tortilla topped with ranchera sauce and melted cheese served with sour cream. Made with real crab not that fake $hit. Glad to see they haven't sacrificed quality ingredients for the bottom line. The Mexican Pizza is awesome too. Its a large crispy flour tortilla covered with refried beans, ground beef, onion, green pepper, red pepper, tomato, mushrooms, cheese and taco sauce. Its best to eat it fresh and not take out because the crust which is a tortilla gets soggy. The black beans and white rice are also a favorite of mine too. Inside info, the owners of La Bamba were cooks at Cielto Lindos. They split from the owner Hector and opened La Bamba. Within time, La Bamba unseated Cielto Lindos as the best Mexican joint in Broward. The menus to both restaurants are practically the same but La Bamba execution is alittle bit better. I still love Hector and his family, so no disrepect intended, just the truth. Service is always top notch, but mostly I sit at the bar and order food to go. Oh yeah, besides Chilis Restaurant, this place makes an outstanding Margarita on the rocks. As for decor, there isn't much to it. Its your basic American Mexican pictures, sombreros, and piñatas. Great food and service at a fair price, what more can you ask for....oh yeah a nice salted rim margarita:) remember to tell them that Dan sent you and stay Hungry!

It's an OK place. We ended up here by accident, as we had an appointment in an unfamiliar area and had to have a lunch. The food was edible, but that's it. First of all, my enchilada was pretty much the same thing as my business partner's burrito. Really, we couldn't tell the difference. The spicy sauce they gave was actually quite decent - which is why 3 and not 2 stars. The space looks OK and is clean, and the service was good. We didn't expect to find authentic Mexican food at this place, and we didn't. I am sure there are other places with better than just edible food in this area.

I've been eating at La Bamba's for at least 10 years now and it really is as good as it gets. In the early 2000's my parents would drag my brothers and I out to this very restaurant to devour the fresh salsa and chips, fight over the last fajita shell at the table and blankly stare at the crab chimichanga my father would order because it was literally the size of my head. Little did I know what impressed me in my youth wasn't even the best part, the crab is actually real crab meat! No fillers or gunk stuff and obviously rice and refried beans on the side. They also have a chicken chimichanga which is just as large a portion and equally delicious. The fajitas are great and the mexican pizza is ridiculously tasty with layers of refried beans, beef, tomatoes, peppers, cheese and sour cream. The service is great and surprisingly the prices have stayed for the most part the same over the years which is rare in addition to the food tasting the exact same way today as it did 10 years ago which is what I love in any restaurant, consistency. Oh! And on Mondays we wear pink (just kidding) have $2.50 house margaritas which after a couple has you walking in a slight zig zag so make sure to bring a DD for some Margarita Monday!! :)

Absolutely love this place. The prices are great, the staff is super nice and attentive, they have lunch specials and happy hour, with a great Spanish environment. Now, I may not be Hispanic but I do love food and I love flavor. Just some of the meals I absolutely enjoy here are the Ropa Vieja (shredded beef soaked in picadillo) with rice and beans on the side and I believe plantains, the Palomilla, and pollo a la plancha. Now I am not a fan of grilled chicken when it comes to ordering from restaurants because if I want dry chicken, I can eat at home, however the chicken here is far from dry and very tasty. Everything has great fresh flavor that just hugs my taste buds with each bite. Only down side; I always fill up on the complimentary chips and salsa before my meal.

I have been a customer at this location for over 10 years. Tonight I picked up a to go order and the gentlemen working take out assured me the order was right. 45 minutes later i arrive at home from another stop, i realize the order was wrong. I call to inform them of what's going on. He says he tried to chase after me and my response was you had my number why didn't you just call? So i return back to pick up my initial order and he demands for the old food because they can reuse it later he says, keep in mind this is an HOUR later and they refused to refund me my money. Clearly la bamba serves old food even in situations where customers bring it home. I am grossed out being that I have eaten here for YEARS! This was literally a place I went too with friends at family at least once a week.

We try coming Mondays because its Margarita Monday which is awesome! Foods pretty good as well, only problem is every time I come here, the people I am with and myself have stomach problems for the entire week. Not sure whats in the food to do that but I will probably stick with chipotle.

Enjoying Mexican food as much as my family and I do, we have been to some good places and some bad places. This one, is one of the best. Moving to a new city finds you looking for new places to enjoy the foods you like. We struck gold on the first visit to La Bamba II. I had a fantastic meal, as did every one at my table. I know we all tasted everyones food! The Fajitas, were amazing.

I've been coming here for quite some time. Servers are friendly. The food is typical Mexican/Cuban cuisine. Margarita Mondays offer really great deals. I usually get the Palomilia Steak which is always cooked good. Last time I got the aroz con pollo and it was amazing. Their portions also last me for two meals. It's a cheaper version of El Mariachi.

Been coming to good ole La Bamba for years and not once have i left sober, hungry, or not satisfied. Typically, I get the house margarita but switched to peach and strawberry margarita for the night and lets just say im drunk-yelping. I always eat to many chips and salsa to start the dinner off but whatever its too good. I got the carne asada a la tampquena or however you say it, a delicious skirt steak. My girl got the Carnitas and my fork couldnt help but hit her plate.

Its not really Mexican food. If you're a connoisseur of authentic Mexican food and its what you're looking for you will be very disappointed. If you like Tex-Mex food with cheese on everything hard shell, ground beef tacos, flour tortillas instead of corn for everything...You'll love it!.. To me its eatable food.I mean its pretty goodTex-Mex style food. NOT Mexican food... As far as being Spanish food...I did not see Paella on the menu..But I could have overlooked it.It may be there. However if you claim to be "Spanish food" Paella is a must have on the menu.

Their prices have gone up some over the years to a point that it seems to be too much now. The food is good, the service is good, but the prices are now too high. Absolutely the best Mexican/Spanish restaurant in Broward County. I've been eating here for years and you can't beat the quality and quantity of food you get for a very reasonable price. Always start off with a cheese quesadilla. My favorite dishes include the Carne Asada a la Tampiquena, which is a huge skirt steak, accompanied by a cheese enchilada, rice and retried beans. It's fabulous. Also, love the Pollo a la Plancha. A simple grilled chicken breast smothered in onions. Served with black beans, rice and sweet plantains. Service is always great and the staff is very friendly.

This was my second time at a La Bamba Mexican restaurant and as it is good food I still think Rocco's Tacos is better. We went for cinco de mayo so of course the wait was over an hour. Totally expected for the biggest Mexican day of the year. As always they provide complimentary chips and salsa for the tables. The salsa was horrible though. Tasted like there was rubbing alcohol in it. The food was good. I got a burrito. El Locco Burro I believe it was called. It was suppose to come with guacamole but they ran out! Their pitchers of Margaritas were a good deal. My boyfriend and I managed to get 8 rocks glasses out of it for $25. Of course Id go back there again but like I said before if I had the choice I'd head to Rocco's instead.

We have been coming to this place for the past several years with family and friends and have found the food to be very tasty and the service usually very friendly and attentive except for this last visit when our server was not as friendly as what we have been used to (he must have been having some personal issues so I will excuse him this time and continue with a 4 star rating based on the history of my previous visits) Every meal starts with complimentary nachos and some great Salsa dips, try the spicy one! My favorite dish here is the Pork Steak which always comes well seasoned and done to perfection. There are many sides to choose from and the quantities are huge! The regular NY Strip is good as is the Grilled Chicken breast, the Fried Pork Chunks and the shrimp Creole is also good as is most of the Mexican menu. This place is always busy and the only negative point is that they do not take reservations and one may have to wait 45 mins to an hour on week ends but prolly worth the wait! We will be back!

My favorite mexican restaurant in South Florida since I moved here. I have tried many others, but they don't compare. La Bamba's food is consistently good, reasonably priced and they don't fake the tequila in the margaritas! It is busy during lunch and dinner hours so be prepared to wait if you arrive at these times, but that is the only negative I can say about this restaurant. The food is usually served rather quickly even during busy times. I would highly recommend.

I am so glad that I crossed Yelp paths with Dan! It would have taken me months to find the good eats! Took the time to write down his suggestions and stuff them in my wallet.... Thank goodness because I was in the mood for some mexican food today and it just so happens, I was right next to La Bamba! Now, I will confess that I actually tried to go there last night, but got scared when I saw the line that practically wrapped the building. Sunday at 3pm was a much better pace for me (and my growling stomach!) i had read the chips and salsa were the best. I was somewhat skeptical and knew that Mexican food would be the most difficult to please me. You see, I'm from Houston where the best of the best Tex-Mex exists, AND I lived in Mexico City where the ONLY authentic mexican food exists (no one can duplicate it) so I am a total Mexican food snob. The salsa WAS fantastic. I mean, we demolished the first 2 bowls and then later demolished the third as we poured it on our food! It was so good! In the interest of making this review short and sweet (too late for that!) I'll just list the best parts: Salsa - awesome Fajitas (beef and chicken) - great quality with lots of onions and pepper w/ fresh quac too Beef Taco - superb (with homemade shell) chicken enchilada - YUM! Room for improvement: Service! Granted I think we just got bum luck because the other waitresses seemed to be great and very personable. My salsa actually had more personality than my waiter. He was a complete dud. AND SOOOOO SLOW! Tortillas! They reminded me of Mission flour tortillas that you buy at Publix (Even I don't buy those unless I'm in a major pinch). I'm not saying they have to make their tortillas (even though it would be awesome) but at least buy some that taste a little more authentic than the super thick flour ones.... That's it! That's all the complaints I have. Everything else was wonderful and exceptional. Thanks again Dan!

This was one of my go-to restos when I lived in the area years ago, so when I was in town last month I decided to have dinner there, for old times' sake...and its STILL as good as I remember! The food is just basic Mexican and Latin American offerings, but the quality is consistent, and no matter what I order, I am always satisfied. This time around I had picadillo with black beans, rice and maduros...so good! Love the laid-back vibe and the friendly service. Nice to see that some things are just as great as you remember them.

I haven't been to La Bamba in months but I used to come here a lot and I remember never being disappointed with their food.Their menu is cool because it's separated by countries (Mexico and Spain) and it's pretty extensive. This is a no frills kinda place-- you get there, they seat you, and one of the bus boys throws some chips on your table with 3 different salsas. Drinks are cheap and so is the food so you can't expect excellent quality ingredients but it's good enough to come with some friends and have a good time. Also, you might as well order their fajitas because you're gonna leave smelling like it, anyway. You'll know what I mean when one of the waiters walks by you with their skillets. They have some pretty good lunch specials and service is pretty quick during lunch hours. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're looking for somewhere to go with your co-workers on your lunch break. As for dinner, this particular location is their best one and it's always packed at night.

I've been coming to La Bamba since I'm a kid. I have always loved their homemade salsa and chips that they bring out before you order your meal. The portions they serve are always large, even if its lunch. I can rarely finish my entire meal.They have a rather large selection of appetizers and main dishes. I'm not even sure what to recommend, as all of their food is very tasty! Being that I am lactose intolerant, eating Mexican is usually a no-go, but they are always accommodating to my food allergies.

The black beans and white rice are my favorite. I usually get the chicken flautas with black beans and rice and I always have enough to take home. You'll never leave here hungry. The staff are very nice and even on a busy night the wait times are never too long. I would recommend this place.

Never had a bad meal here. Granted, most of the food is the heavy duty, weight gain 3000, make you go to sleep Mexican food, but they do it well. Place is always crowded, but they turn over tables in an efficient/non-shovey way that gets people in quick. Had the fish tacos for the first time ever on my last visit and they were incredible. Light, with grilled fish, Talapia I assume. Nice side sauces and served with a choice of Caribbean beans & rice or the Mexican version. Was the lightest thing I've ever had there, but the beans & rice as well as the chips still worked to make me sluggish in the afternoon. But this is a great place, just be ready for a nap.
