Once again they have surpassed themselves. Third time here, and between us have tried 7 different entrees. Everything is always delicious, fresh and filling. We will be back again and again. One of our favorite places to eat.

This is my new favorite korean lunch spot in the area. It's very home style and nothing fancy but food quality is definitely reflected on and I get a feeling at home. I love the starters...roasted sesame and quality of oil used. Boogogi was very nicely prepared with nice touch of veggie. Lunch portion is just right. If you prefer American style massive portion, go to the other korean place across the street (though they don't have lunch menus so you have to shell out dinner price)

I know the Korean food! I'm a Korean and a Chef. I lived Ft Lauderdale about two years and went to every Korean restaurants. Manna was hands down the best Korean food place. Very fresh,Home cook style, Authentic, Clean, Nice people............... You are going to love it. Go for it!!!!

The seafood pancake here was really good. Nice and crispy with good size chunks of seafood. The bulgogi was really good here and it came with white rice. The spicy octopus had jalepenos in it, not what we were used to, but my friend did ask for it to be extra spicy. The banchan was tasty, however you were only served a few. I think we got a total of 5 :/. To me the banchan completes the meal, and I just wish we were given more of an assortment. They ice or hot barley tea. We came in for a late dinner and there was a group of Korean women dining, always a good sign. We were the only other people in the restaurant, yet the service was slow. They did only have one server, but the kitchen should not have been affected. The prices here aren't terrible either.

Korean BBQ is a rarity for me when I'm on the East Coast so I try to get my fill whenever I get the chance. Coming back from Miami this past weekend, we decided to swing by Lauderhill for some dinner. I called and found out Manna closed at 11 pm. We got there around 10 pm, but we were rushed to order because the kitchen closed at 10:30 pm. The entire meal felt uncomfortable enough though we were one of only two tables. The food itself was average. The banchan consisted of only five small dishes. The raw kimchi was disappointing, but I found the others (sprouts, fish cake, cucumbers) to be tasty. I ended up ordering the bulgogi for $17. There is no reason to come for bulgogi at this price since it can be had for AYCE next door at R.O.K. for only $22. The marinade differed from the traditional bulgogi flavor. There was a lot of pepper, which made it taste more like black pepper steak. But, at least the meat was cooked nicely. I hated the subpar service. Besides feeling hurried the entire time, our banchan was never refilled. Don't bother coming here since there is an AYCE Korean BBQ right next door with better food and service.

Their bulgolgi has slight more starch I wanted. The appetizers are a little late. I had to ask for it after the first dish came, which was odd. The seafood pancake was fair. Their best dish for the night was the cod fish soup. I think the bbq here is slight worse than from ROK. We also had their bimbimbob.. the portions were really small compared to most of the Korean restaurants I have been to.

Searching for an authentic Korean restaurant has been found! Not only was the server incredibly nice she gave us suggestions and flavor profiles. The toasted bibimbap was the best I've ever had in South Florida!! Everything about this place is an A+ worth the drive to go back again. Walking around the little plaza after dinner we found a Korean grocery store :) bought stone bowls, Thai tea and kimchi.

By random happenstance we came to Gabose Korean grill since the big competitor across the street was closed. Well the stars aligned and the fluke well worth it- great place to cut my first Korean tooth and Yelp- freaking awesomely delightful!

This was our first visit to Manna. The owner took our order and she was a very sweet woman and very accommodating . My husband eats everything and of any spice level, I on the other hand do not eat mushroom, seafood or anything very spicy. I told the owner this and she said no problem she would put in or take out anything to make the dish to my taste.we started with fried pork dumplings and they were delicious. I ordered black bean noodles with pork and vegetables . My husband ordered seafood pancake, that was his favorite and He also ordered spicy beef stew with clear noodles which he said was very good . The owner and staff were very friendly and our service was excellent .

I am always a fan of Korean food. This restaurant satisfied my craving. Service was nice and friendly. I do wish the portion is bigger. Also wish there are more small dishes to go along with entrees. I would recommend this restaurant to whoever want Korean food.

I'm so happy i found this place! The service was great and the food made me miss san francisco, it was just amazing! We tried the seafood pancake, the bulgogi, and the bibimbap (sans broth and in hot stone bowl so the rice was nice and crispy, mmmm)! Can't wait to come back, and to also try ROK and Gabose :)

  • Peilin K.

Small dishes are good but the noodle soup is quite peppery(black pepper) even for an Asian person like me. No lunch menu. Be prepared to wait!

  • G T.

The banchan was ok. Gabose was better for that. The kal bi was good but they don't allow cooking on the tables so they cook it in back and serve it. The seafood pancake was good too. I guess when we just had a meal at Gaboose and then we ate here we like Gabose better BUT the prices are lower here. The Kal bi was $5 less and the seafood pancake was also $5 less. Definitely a more casual atmosphere and the one server that we had that night was so overwhelmed she didn't refill any of the banchan.

Delicious homemade Korean food! Pricey dinner portions but you definitely won't leave hungry. My boyfriend and I each had a full order. It came with traditional Korean side orders. $18 each order. Lunch is about $12 each order, smaller portions. Definitely worth the trip down from Coral Springs :) delicious food, friendly staff, clean restaurant. Love the simple decor.

Simply... Amazing!!! I currently live in Los Angeles where many different ethnic cuisines co-mingle to attract eaters of all kind. Especially for Korean, it is heaven. What do I mean by that? Koreatown is the biggest in the world!!! So what I am trying to say here is that I know how to appreciate a good Korean restaurant. Now, I am the type of patron that is quite picky when it comes to Korean food. I simply LOVE Korean food. I can't get enough of it even when I travel to Korea or visit Koreatown in Los Angeles. This Korean establishment serves genuine and authentic Korean food. More like... Homemade cooking. High quality ingredients, friendly service, and offering of variety. If you are not familiar with Korean food, then you may not be able to appreciate its true delicacy. Nonetheless, this is an awesome place. Probably, the best in South Florida. If you are in town or live nearby this establishment, then I would strongly recommend you to try out this place. Even if you never tried out Korean, you probably would like it. For the first timer, I would recommend bulgogi, galbi, fried chickens (Korean style), or Soondoobu (It's a spicy tofu soup). I generally don't write reviews for the restaurants that I visit, but this place definitely deserves my time and appreciation.

I had the manna chicken and I must say I was very disappointed. Basically they were very poor quality chicken wings one of which still had a feather. The owner was friendly but the place was a mess and the food is quite expensive compared to the quality.

Great spot! They have an extensive menu, but I always order the galbi (marinated short ribs). I can't resist! Entrees come with the typical assorted sides - all delicious. Prices are reasonable and service is always friendly and attentive.

I'm a Korean American living in Miami, where Korean food is hard to find. I happened upon Manna about a year ago on my way to the Korean market that is down the street. It's perfect to satisfy my Korean food cravings! The menu is broad and includes all of the standards. In a city with a larger Korean community, I tend to prefer restaurants that specialize in a type of dish and do that dish well. But in South Florida, it's nice to have Manna, where they prepare most of the Korean favorites and prepare them well. They even have meal combos that include a soup or stew and a meat dish--great if you come alone, or just want to try different things. Manna is also great for those unfamiliar with Korean food. Don't worry, the menu is English and includes pictures. All of the staff I have encountered also speak English. So don't be afraid! Try it! If you're in to spicy food, try the ojinguh bokoom (spicy stir-fried squid that is flavorful, but oily), the bibim naengmyun (refreshing buckwheat noodles served cool and smothered in spicy sauce), or one of the soon tofus (spicy, pungent stew with vegetables, meat or seafood, topped with slippery buoys of soft tofu). If spicy is not your thing, consider the Japchae (vermicelli noodles coated in sesame oil and mixed with beef and vegetables), Galbi (grilled short ribs marinated in sweet soy sauce), or the salted makerel (tasty grilled fish, but warning! it is very salty, so eat it along with rice and side dishes). One last thing, Manna isn't really a BBQ restaurant. They have Korean BBQ dishes, but if you want real Korean charcoal BBQ, hop across the street to Gabose.

Saw their ad from Asian news paper and decided to give it a try. They are family own and the food here are great. I loved their side dishes because it's kind of different than other Korean's restaurant in south FL. If you order the combo that comes with meat and soup. that portion is very good.

Thankful for such a great Korean place here in South Florida. Family owned and operated, the food is like a taste of Korean home cooking. Recently moved here from the west coast, and this was on par with some of the best out there. Kalbi (BBQ short ribs) seasoning was spot on, and the Kimchi Jigae (kimchi stew) was perfectly seasoned. This was some pretty authentic stuff! The banchan (side dishes) were well varied and excellently prepared with nuances of flavor that is lost or just not there at other establishments. In fact, it's been a while since I've had such good banchan ANYWHERE. Owner is very friendly, and the place was very clean. Head and shoulders above another relatively new Korean restaurant off Flagler in Miami. I hope that they maintain their Korean authenticity to their cuisine because if they do, there aren't very many places in south florida that will be able to compete with them. Thank you for raising the standard of Korean food in south florida!

  • Lorraine W.

Pretty good and reasonable prices... Their soups are spicier than other Korean places, but I like it! I usually start with the seafood pancake (only $13 and perfect portion for 3 people) and the steamed dumplings. The banchan is made on site and have a much better flavor than the other Korean restaurants around.

This new Korean BBQ joint recently just opened in Lauderhill, so like any new place it has some kinks to iron out before it becomes a fine tuned machine and this restaurant is no exception. All in all, I wanted to give this place four stars, but just could not because with the good came the bad, and the ugly. THE GOOD Walking in, the most obvious thing to notice is the cleanliness of the place and the modern look of the decor. It was really surprising considering how iffy the plaza looks. Next, in the good, the service was excellent! The owner even had her waiter go to the market to fetch oysters to make a dish, but sadly the market was closed. Instead, she goes in the kitchen and comes out with a complimentary egg soup dish and later in the night came out with a vegetable pancake dish. She was fantastic. I am not an expert on Korean cuisine, but I thought the food tasted fantastic. My Mandu Duk dish was healthy and fresh tasting. All the little complimentary dishes were truly addicting and we had seconds, thirds, fourths, and eighteenths. THE BAD We were celebrating a birthday and my friend brings a cake for them to put the cake in the fridge. Instead, they immediately come out singing happy birthday. I guess they do things differently in Korea. I am not sure. THE UGLY I know I said the service was good, but it was also the ugly. As much as I love the owner and her kindness, her waiter was horrible. Slow, forgetful, and could not communicate. The worst kind of waiter. He is the one person that deals with customers the most and the one of the faces of the restaurant and all I can say is they need a new waiter. All in all, I will return. The place has potential.

I am back in ft. Lauderdale for a few months. I came here while shopping at the Korean grocery store for lunch. The waitress/owner remembers me from my first trip there. Wow, I was impressed. The place looks same from what I remembered. I ordered lunch Special Kalbi (marinated beef short rib). It was marinated well and was very tasty. My favorite Korean dish is Kalbi and this place didn't disappoint. I loved it. I wasn't really hungry but I finished it with grilled onions underneath. The banchans were delicious. If you are in ft lauderdale, find this place and go there. This place is satisfy your tummy and thank me for it.

manna is actually pretty good for Korean in south fl. The ambiance and decor of the restaurant was nicer than expected. Food came out fast! The prices are a little bit cheaper than gabose ( which is directly across the street ) however they do not have grills to cook your own Bulgogi or galbi like gabose! We ordered the Bulgogi and it came with 6 sides and two rice bowls and a seafood pancake. It was delish! Reason why I gave it 3 stars... The waiter didn't speak much English. I'm not to familiar with Korean food and asked for recommendations and he didn't know what I was saying. Also we asked for a condiment and again did not understand! However the owner was very nice to us and kept making sure we were okay! All in all I rate the food 4 stars but taking away a star for the service!! Will come back to try again!

My mom and I had lunch at Manna for the first time last week. My mom is an excellent cook and doesn't like most Korean restaurants we go to because she says they use MSG or too much sugar to make it more palatable for Americans. Manna does neither, and their ban-chan and cham-pong (spicy seafood noodle soup) were authentic and delicious. Perhaps it's because we're Korean, or we arrived right when they opened for lunch, but there wasn't any table service besides when we first sat down and ordered. We had to ask for more water, kim-chee, and the check. Perhaps dinner service is more attentive. (I think I saw a waitress walking in when we left). The place is more of a cafe-restaurant and is decorated a bit sparsely. I wouldn't get dressed up by any means. However, the food is delicious, and I wouldn't be embarrassed bringing my Korean relatives to Manna. Some reviewers remark about the higher price (my mom remembers the other Korean cafe down the street serving cham-pong for 2/3 the price of Manna), but you get what you pay for, and Korean food is time-consuming to prep and cook. I would give it 5 stars were it not for the decor, but I would still frequent Manna if it were a hole in the wall.

We ordered the bibimbap, tonkatsu, galbi and seafood soondubu soup. Everything was pretty good and I felt like we were eating a home cooked meal. This isn't a Korean BBQ joint so don't expect to cook at your table. They do offer galbi and bulgogi but they'll bring it out cooked. Service was good since we were the only ones in there. They brought out kimchi pancakes for free which was really nice of them. I'll definitely be coming back for a quick Korean meal.

I'll begin with - the food was ok ranging to good depending on what was ordered, I happened to be with a couple friends, I liked my short ribs, my friend did not care for her dumpling soup & I happened to order shrimp fried rice & didn't find it to have any flavor. We also happened to be the only people in the restaurant, aside from a guy who walked in halfway through our meal & was still waiting for his food when we left. The portions do not correlate to the price, especially since we noticed we were charged a $1 more for each meal then was listed on the menus. I don't understand paying 33.00 for my meal which was a plate of short ribs & a small portion of flavorless rice. We also received a plate of banchan in the beginning of our meal but were not told what it was, what it was supposed to be or why it was on our table. We would have said thank you if told it was on the house, or what it even was. It happened to be very yummy even though I'll never be able to order it again because the server wouldn't tell us what it was. The waiter & service happened to be my biggest issue with the place, he was rude. Theres no if &'s or buts about it, he was RUDE & SMUG. As I mentioned we were the only ones in the place & we still had to get up to ask for refills on sode & water --- we never did get either of the sodas we asked for & when he brought the water he flat our refused to pour it for us. Just because we had been given bad service the whole time we bothered to ask why and he said "Ive never been asked that question before"... you've never been asked to pour someone water, what? At the end of the meal he dropped all of the coin change my friend had on the floor when handing the check book back & didn't even apologize. Thanking this man for anything also went unnoticed. So over all - this place gets a 1 based off NOT CHARGING ADVERTISED PRICES & arguing with the customer. I don't understand why asking for a soda or to pour us water instead of just putting a jug of water down without a word and walking away had to turn into an issue. Also, don't throw my change on the floor because I didn't smile through your poor service. Get new waiters & update your menus please.

So we found this place on yelp and thought we'd give it a shot - I'm Korean so of course I've had plenty of Korean food. We just moved here from the Bay area California where theres lots of yummy Korean food. Our expectations were low, since we were told there is no good Korean food in or near Miami. But after trying this place, we were shocked! Everything we ate was so flavorful, the owner was very friendly and let us know that they don't use MSG!! The food was excellent! You could pick up the restaurant, drop it in LA or the bay and it would fit right in! We're so elated to have found this place. It's a 40 minute drive but that's ok! When we need our Korean food fix, this is where I'll come. We had the kimchi jigae and galbi - both very yummy.

Awesome restaurant! The food is so tasty, the quality is amazing and the service is great. The owners are very friendly and make you feel at home! My wife and I enjoy eating here whenever we can! I highly recommend the Kimchi Stew as it is perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice. My wife adores the Dumplling and Rice Cake soup. We both love the BBQ! The Banchan (small side dishes) are very yummy and they are always happy to bring you a refill so eat up! -Michael & Ksenia

this used to be my fav korean restaurant in south florida. dont get me wrong, the food was great. but when i took my mother there after lunch hours. which was around 330, i asked them if they were open..they said yes so to my understanding is that i would get served. sat there for over 15mins. no one came check on us after they told me to sit anywhere n just went back to the kitchen, i went to the kitchen to fish someone out to take our orders n give us something to drink. it literary was one bad service after another.. i had to go back at least FIVE times to ask for extra side dishes/water/or even the bill. speaking of the bill.. CHECK THE PRICES on ur check n the actual menu. 2/5 things i ordered was overcharged n the claimed the computer was wrong n didnt fix it.. but apparently they did it to everyone.. so i think its just a scam. when my mother n i were leaving..she gave us the dirtiest look EVER .. thats no way to treat customers this way. i was embarrassed because i felt bad for my mother. worst lunch service ever .

What I love about this restaurant is it doesn't use MSG!!!!! Therefore, the food has genuine flavor with natural ingredient. It's a little (just a little) pricey, but I will gladly pay more money for the natural ingredient. We were in a rush to eat and go, so we couldn't enjoy all the food we wanted. Definitely going back soon when we have more time.

I order the kimchi jun.... AMAZING!!!! I also order the dumpling soup with rice which was also good since I had a little cold. The service was, so-so just because they couldn't handle the over flow of people coming to eat. Overall, it was a great place! PS they don't take AMX

Looking for a new place to eat for Lunch we stopped by based on Yelp. We were not disappointed. This is a small restaurant that appears to be family run. Not sure why, but the it was fairly empty when we came in and only a few more tables filled while we ate. The restaurant was very clean. The food was very good. This is the first Korean I've tried in South Florida and I was impressed. It is a little pricey for lunch, but understandable given the quality of the meat and fresh ingredients. As other reviewers mentioned this is not a cook at the table type of Korean BBQ, but I prefer this style for Lunch anyways.

I highly recommend Manna's. We ordered: Tofu Soup Pork Kalbi Seafood Pancake Makkoli and sides of course (included) My favorite was the cucumber kimchi which is all hand made! It's like eating at your mom's house. The BEST I've had! No frills or extra long waiting.Unlike K-Town in NYC where the food is good but servers are mean, THIS place has the friendliest warm service I've ever encountered at a Korean restaurant. This a family owned business which you can taste in food. 5 stars for food & service highly recommended (^__^)

Being Korean and a self-proclaimed food connoisseur, I was in Florida for 2 weeks with my family searching high and low for an authentic Korean restaurant, and this is it! Galbi was tender, the mandu was homemade and delicious! Kimchee was good, and the baby bok choy kimchee was even better! The daenjang gigae was on point! You can tell the owner takes great pride in her cooking, and she wants your true feedback. Super nice, clean, and reasonably priced. This will definitely be our go to spot for authentic Korean food in Florida!

Excellent! My friend found this restaurant. He is a Korean American. I have eaten his mother's cooking for many years (she is from Korea) and found the food at Manna to be as good as the home cooked meals. The lady who owns the restaurant waited on us and was very personable. She explained the dishes and how she prepared them. The food was fresh and great. Can not wait to go back for kimchi!

Cozy family owned and operated korean restaurant. Food was authentic and en pointe. I ordered the standard galbi and bulgoki dishes with dumplings for appetizers. All was good. Prices high but norm for other korean restaurant s in the area.

The dumplings were home made and great. The kimchi jigue I had was amazing. Compare to other places it wasn't busy . I think they should have the business hours at the door so that even when no customers were there, people would know that they are open . I really want them do well because the food was so good.

I never had Korean food before - but somewhat an expert in Chinese and Japanese cuisine. So my buddy and I decided to go to Manna BBQ in Lauderdale and give it a try. We entered a poorly lit shop in a strip mall with badly made tables, chairs and booths, no host to greet us, just a young waiter with heavy metalic neck non discreet jewelry - heralding his Christian association... who although was eager to please and polite he was an amateur waiter and that's being kind. Drinks came late, no extra napkins, no salt or pepper, no fork for my buddy who did not know how to use chopsticks. Then the owner came to take our order - I asked her to bring us 4 typical Korean dishes for us to sample. Nice attitude.. but in her limited English she tried to explain what would be getting but unfortunately for us we did not get it - we only somewhat understood what we ordered but no details - so we left it to chance. The results of our visit to Manna Korean BBQ are as follows. Mediocre ambiance, service reserved for a pizza delivery joint, average to poor quality of food, mediocre preparation, amateur presentation and plating, seasoning was almost correct...and prices from another planet... at $89 dollars for two (?) usually reserved... for infinitely better restaurants... and for which I would have gladly paid if I had received equal value.

I absolutely love this place and so does all my family members from out of town. I visit Manna BBQ at least once a month to get my Korean Food Fix. My Favorite Dishes: Tofu Soup Pot stickers Galbi Spicy Rice Cake Kimchi & Cucumber Kimchi I've been to other korean places in the area and this place is by far the best. A lovely couple owns the place so they are really friendly. They also sell those side dishes to you to go. If you are in the area, do check this place out.

Tried this for the first time...very clean, owner was very friendly and food was like homemade. Don't be intimidated by the dark windows on the outside...once you walk inside, you will find a very warm ambience with new modern decor. We had soup in a clay pot with rice and 7 side dishes. It was $12.95 each person, which was a little on the high side for what it is. But the owner is very friendly and you feel very welcomed and overall, it was a good dining experience.

Love this place. One of the best places for Korean food in SoFlo. The owner is nice and remembers all her guests. The food is home-cooked which makes it so much more enjoyable. My family has not found one flaw in their service. :)

My new favorite Korean BBQ restaurant! All the dishes were fresh and flavorful. Had the homemade dumplings and seafood pancake for starters. Main dish was the pork bulgogi and finished meal off with red bean ice cream. Wait staff was very attentive. Large portions with plenty sides. Definitely going back!

One of the best Korean places in the area and I have tried many. Food was very fresh and super tasty. Some may miss not having the BBQ grill right at your table but after you taste their food you won't care. Go for the Galbi & bibimbap. All we had was very tasty!

This was the first time I ever experienced Korean food at this family owned Restaurant, which I found from other Yelp reviews. From their delicious variety in typical Korean appetizers(included in anything you ordered) to the main courses we ordered everything tasted great. We started with the seafood pancake which was plentiful for all of us to share, and for the the main dishes we ordered Bibimbap, Pork Bulgogi and Mushroom Tofu soup. The presentations and quantity of all the food was good. I am looking forward to going back and trying other things on the menu.

I tried the Korean BBQ beef and seafood soup. The flavor of the BBQ was super good and the soup was great too. Our waitress was also really nice and obviously cared about what we thought about the food and the place. The only reason why I'm not giving 5 stars is because it's a little over priced. If they brought down the price by a dollar or 2 it would be significantly better.

I tried out this place today for the first time. Just like what the other reviews wrote, the ambiance was nice and clean. But I can only give it 3 Stars. We ordered Grilled Fish and Galbi, unfortunately it did not offer to cook in front of you so it came out from the kitchen. The taste was ok but the grilled fish was extremely dissapointing because the fish was very fishy and had a lot of bones in it. (I sort of expected a fillet though). We also got Kimchi Stew and Soon Tofu which were both excellent. Their lunch special was about $9-10 so i recommend people to try that if you are not familiar with korean cuisine. I think I rather go to Da Mee Rak than Gabose or Manna next time.... Sorry Manna :-(

I loved the fresh Korean dishes that they prepared I didn't taste any MSG in it unlike other restaurants and they cooked it just the way I wanted it to taste I recommend it for all those who wants to eat healthy Korean dishes! :) The mood of the restaurant is very comfortable just like my home and the interior is designed simple but in a warming home way.

Came in for lunch based on fellow Yelper reviews. Restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated. Was pleased to see a table of Asian women enjoying lunch. I ordered the Galib( short ribs) out of the lunch menu. they were delicious. Menu has beautiful pictures to help novices on choices.Service fast and courteous. As I was leaving another 4 Asian customers were coming in. To me this is always a good sign! Can't wait to continue to explore the menu.

Best Korean food in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area! This is the place my husband takes his parents when they're in town and we/they love it. We're from Houston and have spent some time on the west coast and this place ranks up there. We've tried the pajeon, the tofu soup, the daeji bulgogi, the galbi, and the bibimbap and they've all been delicious - flavors are right on and cooked perfectly. Their tofu soup has great depth of flavor and just the right amount of spice. Pajeon is cooked just right - slightly crispy on the bottom with a good amount of seafood. The galbi is flavored and cooked perfectly - my in-laws said it's some of the best korean bbq they've tasted. This is our first experience with daeji bulgogi and it's been really good - can't say it's the best since we have nothing to compare it against, but we've ordered it almost everytime we've visited. Bibimbap is easily top 3 of all the places we've tried. Also, the side dishes that come with your order are delicious. Service is great and very much unlike what I've come to expect at other Korean restaurants in Houston, San Francisco, or Los Angeles (or most Miami restaurants for that matter...).

This was our third visit to Manna and as I said on the way home "I wish I were still hungry so I could start over!" The food is authentic, and fresh and the owners are gracious and helpful. We come out from the beach and it's well worth the trip.

Great previous experience. I believe they were overwhelmed this time. When we were seated, the server forgot about us. We didn't get menus. Drink orders weren't taken. Ended up leaving. I like the food, so I'll try again in a couple of weeks. Maybe it was an off day, so they'll get another shot.

I love this place! Food is so fresh and waitstaff is so friendly. The female owner always greets me and my relatives. And their pickled dishes r to die for. Wish they opened a place like this in NYC b/c portions and quality like manna's are hard to find in ktown in the city. If you r new to korean food, try the kimchi soon tofu with beef or mushrooms, japchae or bulgogi. The kitchen was kind enough to make an exception for us and made me kimchi friend rice. Loved it!!!

A lovely little treat! My husband and I both ordered the BiBimBop and it was so yummy. It's worth a stop if you are looking for good Korean food. And don't miss the large Korean food market in the plaza. It was great!

Stopped in yesterday for the first time. Place was clean and bright. Service was excellent. I had the Bimbibab - great!. The sides were very good and in general all the food tasted fresh and crisp. I have been a fan of Gabose for years, but I am very much interested in coming back here and trying some of the other dishes because the food tasted so incredibly fresh.

The galbi (short ribs) is excellent, the best out of all the local Korean spots. I like Gabose's doenjang better than this restaurant's, though. Also, they never serve lettuce leaves like Gabose and they have way fewer banchan dishes, 6 compared to Gabose's 10. If they had at least 8 banchan dishes, it would be better.

Very tasty food! I am new to the experience of Korean food but fast becoming a huge fan! Manna was a great experience - friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, delicious food. Our server took the time to explain many of the dishes to us and the owner came by to see how we were enjoying ourselves. The portions are generous and the flavors are layered and rich.

My dad has bragged about this place for close to a year and told me that while I have taken him to some amazing Korean spots around the country that he found the best one in South Florida... He found a gem! This place is owned by a family that really cares about their food and the wife made sure to specify every last detail of our order to make sure it was prepared to our liking. The way that everything is seasoned and prepared is just EXCEPTIONAL. I cannot wait to return to Korean Manna BBQ the next time that I am in town. I know that I can depend on a quality experience.

I just went to this restaurant few hours ago. This was my first time going to the restaurant. I thought it was a big restaurant but it's just a small medium size restaurant. It's nice and clean. If you were hoping to see some Korean dramas on TV, they don't have any unless they didn't have any today. The TV had Korean sports on, maybe because it's Sunday and there's not a lot of dramas on Sunday. It's a Family owned restaurant and you can kinda tell it is. It's a few stores away from R.O.K. and across a street from Gabose. There's only one waiter so it might take awhile to get him when there's other customers. His English is okay to communicate with. The waiter is actually nice, their side seats that was a brick wall background can actually move. I was surprise. Since we had five people and one baby. He move the side seat with another side seat so there's room for us to seat. We order soybean stew, boolgogi, pork soon tofu stew with galbi (from the combination menu) and mul naengmyun. Unfortunately, we only got three rice bowls and there's five of us. We had to get two more and they cost each rice bowl a dollar. From what I heard, rice doesn't need to be one of the main dishes to eat with. The only difference between the combination portion and the just by itself portion is a little bit different. You can just buy the combination portion and still have a lot to share with other people plus you save more money. I wish I knew that earlier. If you really love that portion, you might get the by itself portion because the combination serves one person. But there's still a lot in the combination (well the meat meal was) but as for the soup, it's better with by itself portion. The bowls they serve in noodles in are kinda big. Well in mul naengmyun, there was a lot of soup but I guess it's like that. Noodles were fair enough portion. The waiter told me what are the sauces were to put in. That was nice for him. We order the noodles after we got the rest of food so we didn't finish the noodles. We took it home. Everything was fine but I wish they had more food on the menu. All the food you can order are in the photos of restaurant. But this is only my opinion because I like Korean food a lot. I would like to go back this restaurant again :)

i love their food a lot! even tho sometimes we have to wait 10 to 15 mins for the food, but this is worth it! their tofu soup is very traditional very yummy! and i like their pan fried fish, and their side dishes are so yummy too!! i don't like much bbq so i think Manna is good for me! b/c my clothes don't need to be that smell!!

My mother and I went here on a Friday for lunch. No lunch specials. My mother ordered Jiapiang (may have spelled it incorrectly) but they were hot and spicy noodles with shrimp and mussels. She liked it. It was the right amount of seafood and the spice level. Its hard to please my Korean mother at times. I had the spicy pork bulgolgi and it was ok. Served hot on a sizzling plate. The sides were good - I loved the spicy potatoes and kimchee. They serve pretty fresh Kimchee. I've had a lot better Korean food but that's because I have had a lot of Korean food in my lifetime. This place is good for Florida - compared to the other place I went to in Miami.

This place is Great belive the hype best place in fort lauderdale! Alot of food for $20. I have eaten there 5 times and I drive there from hollywood after i randomly found this place its right on university easy to find. its worth going too!!!! Get Any of the BBQ dishes spicy pork, beef in soy sauce these two were 17 or 18. the RIBS korean short ribs all meat high quality and big portion 20 bucks if you have not had this then you are missing out big time. the dumplings are pork and herbs with garlic awsome get them for sure. Side dishes, if you dont know about korean u get a bunch of them with the meal and white sticky rice also. the best has to be the bok choy in slightly spicy sauce killer!! They have this toasted sesseme salad its really good. I also got the Korean sake sampler with 3 kinds for 7 dollars its a good deal. the type i think will appeal to most people is the korean black razz sake its like really good strong red wine thats fruity and chilled at 12 dollars a bottle its cheap and really good get that as well.

I've been here twice now - once for takeout and once sitting in. I was craving Korean food and convinced my friends to eat here with me. The food is okay. I had their bibimbap, vegetable pancake, tangsooyuk, jajang myun noodles, and dumpling soup. Their side dishes, vegetable pancake, and dumpling soup are great, but the other dishes are not worth coming back. I would be more accepting of their expensive prices if the food tasted better (they have very nice portion sizes though). The service is also okay. The waitstaff are very friendly, but they forgot to take down my friend's order and when we mentioned it an hour later, they still messed up the order. More importantly, although my group arrived early and off peak hours, other groups who were either bigger or came in later were still serviced before us. This led to my friends thinking that the restaurant favors Korean patrons over non-Korean and non-Asian customers. All in all, my experiences at Korean Manna BBQ were average. Perhaps I'll come back in a year, but in the mean time, I will be going to the other two Korean restaurants across the street.

Food was good , but my only problem was that the waiter left my finished plates on the table and didn't pick them up as he walked by, he was serving by himself but still I'm in the back by the kitchen not hard to reach n grab them , I feel the price of everything was a little high when across the street I can twice what I do at GABOSE and get to grill my food. I left feeling still hungry with a bill of $ 85. For 2 people Our order Bulgogi Short rib Soup 3 beers

I am new to Korean food, so full disclosure - take this review from someone who may not appreciate the art of the Korean BBQ. Manna was my second Korean experience, the first being Gabose, maybe it's just not my cup of tea....so again be warned if you are a true Korean BBQ aficionado I may be totally off. Manna is a small restaurant located in Lauderhill strip mall, it doesn't look like much on the outside, the inside is small with several tables and booths, I found the restaurant to be very clean. There was only one other table when we first arrived for lunch, they had an array of food laid out on their table and seem to be enjoying it so I was excited to order. We sat at a booth, there was a man at the open counter service area where they have beverages, cups, glasses, plates an other kitchen stuff (makes that area look messy), well the man didn't acknowledge us and eventually left to what I presume was the kitchen door. Eventually a lady came out to greet us, she was very friendly and enthusiastic about telling us about the menu and Korean eating style which is mostly family style, you order several dishes, put it in the center of the table and everyone shares. We started off with the fried pork dumplings, they were delicious, very well prepared and excellent flavor. For lunch I ordered the BBQ beef, my friends ordered the pork BBQ and a rice veggie beef bowl dish. The BBQ dishes came served on a sizzling cast iron pan, like fajitas, a small side of rice and several small plates for us to share called Banchan. I found the beef to be too sweet for my liking, the Banchan - small plates contained very small servings of potatoes, a cold veggie omelet, beansprout salad, Kimchi (fermented veggies with spices), Pickled Cucumber Salad, and some other items. The potatoes and Kimchi were good, but other than that, I didn't really care for the Banchan, my dish cost $17 which I found expensive for a regular lunch. My friends said that out of the 3 dishes mine was the best...so that didn't give me much hope of liking other items on the menu. Again, maybe Korean is just not for me.

This place was very pricey. I have had very good Korean food before and this place has outrageous prices. The staff was also not that friendly, I ordered and they responded with "thats all you're going to get". I would give 0 stars if I could.

I'm no Korean food expert but I do know good food. This is whole in the wall affair is underwhelming on approach, but once you settle in you get treated to a great Korean experience Served family style the food is incredible, with the usual complimentary appetizers rolled out. Almost everything is spicy, so go at your tongues risk. Or order plenty of water The service is traditional as well, that is to say they won't stop a lot to check on you but if you know that going it is fine. Best Korean restaurant experience I have had in South Florida

Excellent service + good food + accommodating to vegetarians = 4 stars. Don't worry meat eaters. There's plenty of carnivorous dishes to choose from :) Really had an incredibly pleasant experience at Manna tonight. I had the Mushroom Soon - excellent. For apps I had the steamed veggie dumplings and pancake - both were good, but I particularly liked the pancake. The platter that arrived with the mains was tasty - I really liked and asked for seconds of- the eggplant. So yummy!

In this area, you have tons of options for Korean food (Galbose, R.O.K., Minji's, etc.. ), all of which have something to offer. But if we are basing this solely on Korean BBQ, this place has the best Galbi! R.O.K. is AYCE and Gabose has the real BBQ experience but just judging on flavor this place wins. It is expensive, but most Korean BBQ is. If you are lucky enough to come on weekdays during lunch, then the lunch specials are awesome. You must try their homemade dumplings (fried or steamed), the best! And I love their banchans. For two people, they give 6 sides but they are delicious especially the cucumber salad. I hate spicy food but fight through the spiciness of this dish and order at least 2 refills- it is just that good! They do give you unlimited refills on them, you just have to ask! Service usually sucks. They are friendly but you have to catch their attention if you want a refill or your check. But the food is oh, so good!

Good food and service. Waiter was cute according to my friend haha but the portion was a bit less for the price you pay. Atmosphere and decor was nice so a point goes to that. It's located right next to ROK for karaoke and a Korean mart. I would recommend to try it as well as the other Korean restaurants that are located in the same street.

LUNCH SPECIALS ? Grabbed one of their pamphlets for a peek at their lunch specials and quickly made what I thought would be a good lunch and introduction to their Korean cooking style . Our most engaging and directive server politely imformed us that they don't offer the lunch specials in printed form. So, that explains why the lunch specials were not part of their menu. Tempted to order their sweet snd sour fried pork but quickly discouraged by the $26 price given that this was for lunch. (Tangsook is indictive of Chinese Korean influence), We ordered our usual spicy pork bulgogi plus fried chicken wings. Mind you that we're paying dinner prices for lunch. When our entrees arrived, our server was quick to point out that discontinued lunch portions would have been significantly reapportioned. She also mentioned that all foods are prepared fresh. The banchan is homemade and scrappy in portions and flavor. Served in a sectional plate and two cups for a total of six selections. No refills were ever offered during the course of our lunch. Well our two entrees arrived post haste. Spicy pork included bean sprouts and onions... not spicy like other reviewers had highlighted. Fried chicken wings were plenty crunchy covered with a tomato based sauce. Yu-go thought the wings had been prepared earlier. While he was taking photos of our lunch, our server was very suggestive of what he should include. I don't want to sound as if I'm biased by the disappointment of not dining on lunch specials. I'll pass this Korean experience as a four star. Unforutnately I've had far worst in South Florida.

We ordered some bbq meats and the waitress helped us cook the meat as we talked. The food is good and the side dishes go so well with the food. The restaurant is big and the seats are spread out so that you can be a bit loud.

I think all 3 Korean restaurants in this block are good, but out of the 3 I believe Manna has the best food. Their BBQ/side dishes are delicious and the service is always great.

I had the Udon Woodong swapping out seafood for tofu with some green tea. The udon was delicious with it's typical salted flavor with a curious array of vegetables. Decent green tea is by no means a standard at many asian restaurants where tea competes with alcohol but Manna defied expectations. It's hot green tea was surprisingly refreshing and bold, it was reminiscent of one you might find at an authentic Japanese restaurant. The highlight had to be the atmosphere, Manna was carefully lighted to be warm and modern. The booths were spacious and private fostering a good time with friends and there was a low counter bar if you desired just a casual drink. The staff was helpful in picking out an entree and accommodating me, the vegetarian at the table. In fact the manager personally came by to assure she'd go out of the way to accommodate any guest at her restaurant. In summation, you won't be disappointed by the team at Manna, they will go the extra mile to make your experience perfect.

So good, I'm still thinking about it 3 days later. The service was personable and speedy. Nice decent sized cozy restaurant with young waitresses. I got there just in time to miss the busy lunch hour and enjoyed some delicious bibimbap. I plan on going back, soon.

Tasty cozy family style korean restaurant. Home style cooked food made very well. Authentic korean taste. The galbi / short ribs are very good here along with the banchan side dishes. Kim chee on point. I recommend visiting early the service is nice but the establishment is understaffed. For best experience visit early when its not very busy.

After having an amazing Korean lunch in Manhattan, I was obsessed with wondering when I would again have Korean. Fast forward 3 months - my friend joined me at Manna for dinner, we ordered the fried vegetable dumplings, she said they were cold in the middle and thought they were previously frozen. They were really not very flavorful but the sauce tasted like one she had at PF Changs, I do not agree. We next had the kimchee pancake, very very greasy. The did not bother to blot the oil when it came out of the pan, this left the pancake sadly limp. It was not spicy and not the flavor explosion I had hoped for. My entree was the cold noodle with vegetables in a spicy sauce. I took one bite and put it to the front of the table, which I understood to be the international sign of " there's something wrong with this" or "I don't like it". The server walked past it several times. I told him I did not like it. When the check came the cold noodles were on it at $13. I asked for it to be removed. They refused and said that they told me I might not like it. The noodles were a big black gluey clump with almost no vegetable. It was gross. The speaker over our table was pure static which the staff didn't notice and I had to ask them to turn the static off. The server was very sweet but clearly had no idea how to serve, I WAS grossed out when I saw his fingertips sitting on the edge of my tea cup that he then served me. Use a tray if its hot!! I will never ever go back.

I ordered two dishes, which were superb! They even catered to my vegan diet with no problem, switching up the dishes I chose, even making great recommendations! Some places make it known that they are inconvenienced by such accommodations, but they had no issues. Also, I ordered for take-out, since it was a last minute decision to dine here, and I wanted to get home. I found this place by accident, since the Indian restaurant nearby was closed. The food took a little longer than said to be ready, about 40 minutes... but it was made to order, and the food was authentic Korean food. Inside, the ambiance and decor was suttle, sweet, and intimate: perfect for taking a date to. Price was a little high, for the quantity of food provided, but again, the food was authentic and delish!

This is still the most authentic Korean food available in all of South Florida. I have been here over 30 times since my last review. Banchans are without question the best, & closest you will taste around here to Korea. Bottom line is you have to know & appreciate Korean food to be able to judge this place, IT'S FOOD, from other Korean establishments in the area. The others around here are good, but Manna's food is the undeniable winner. See my pics, tips, & descriptions for specifics.

Almost a year later I managed to return to Manna for a repeat meal, this time dinner, same main - daeji bulgogi - spicy pork. In the evening they have a server working and she was pleasant and helpful. After ordering the meal arrived within a few minutes, this time accompanied by the rice, kimchi, and five other banchan. All the banchan were very generously filled and equally delicious - the bean sprouts, pickled cukes, potatoes in mildly spicy sauce, marinated bean curd, and slices of green onion pancake. The bulgogi was excellent, probably the best I have had since I was in Seoul. If you like a nice spicy bite, try this dish. A definite will return for Manna.

I always eat here whenever I'm in the area. I absolutely love their mushroom soon tofu soup! Service here is friendly and attentive. The lady there always makes sure that we are satisfied with our meal. I always try to make it for lunch so i can order more items. hehe. But even for dinner, their prices aren't that bad. They have tasty banchan, and they always ask if we want our banchan to be refilled (which is a plus). Anyways, their bulgolgi, kalbi, seafood pancake, and soon tofu soups are what I normally order. And although it says BBQ restaurant, it isn't one of those Korean restaurant where you bbq the meat yourself. They serve you the bbq dishes instead.

The last time I ate here I experienced very bad service and felt like the owner was angry that she had to serve us. My husband and I were very saddened by this because we use to really enjoy coming here. Not only did the owner, who was also our waitress, spend most of her time conversing with all of the Korean families but she also had a very heated conversation with her husband near us. The food was still good, but the service and atmosphere made me feel unwelcome.
