Really good Mexican food. Fast service. The moment you sit down you get the chips. All you have to do is go to the sauce bar. Food is incredible. Thank god I found this spot

This place has great food! Real Mexican taquerias were hard to find in Miami, and this place was one of the few I came across. It's such a gem.

Really great food. Amazing enchiladas verdes and tacos. The salsa bar is my favorite thing.. a lot of variety and the spicy salsa verde , is ACTUALLY spicy. The only things I didn't like is you need to order at least 10 dollars to use a credit or debit card, which I find kind of inconvenient if you don't plan on eating that much food and you just want a few tacos. Also the service was not great, they arent to attentive and employees do not seem too happy to be there. Oh well, the AUTHENTIC mexican food makes up for it.

Food was good and so was the waiting service. Fast and efficient and the price was right!

My husband and I have always driven through this restaurant but never minded to go inside but a few days ago we decide to go in and grab dinner. This is the best Mexican restaurant down south. I had the enchiladas verdes with agua de horchata they were the best I have ever had in a while. Service was great and the place is very clean. Will definitely be going back :-)

Great spot for lunch, always have a great meal. Have been coming here for around 3 years. The salsas are spicy and delicious I would suggest anything from the burrito or tacos to the enchiladas or toastadas. I will be coming back for many more lunches.

I eat here often. A little too often. I'm hooked on their tacos al pastor w/ extra pineapple. Seriously, the tacos al pastor are addictive and awesome. Excellent salsa and fixings bar, although they only have one option for milder tastes: pico de gallo. Everything else is hot or super hot. Hawaiian Alambre for 1 person is delish but really greasy....but filling and large enough for 2 to share. They are not the cheapest taco spot in town, some of their stuff is overpriced like $6 guacamole or queso fundido...BUT they are consistent and clean. I agree that service is lackluster, but it's not exactly a 5 star place. You aren't being served multiple courses and need the waitress to dote on you. Soda is canned, no refills....It's a TAQUERIA not a exactly a traditional Mexican restaurant...they want you to eat your taco, leave a buck or two and GTFO.

I love this place and NEVER miss it when I'm in town. The food is always fantastic - very authentic! Great service, huge portions and good prices. The salsa bar is full of bright, fresh ingredients and has something for every flavor and spice preference. The only small detail keeping me from giving this a 5 out of 5 is that there is no alcohol service... with Mexican food this good, there is nothing I want more than to enjoy the beautiful weather (yay outdoor seating) with an icy cold margarita. If you are content to choose from a small assortment of beer, or don't care for an ice cold adult beverage (who are you??) I'm sure you would rate this a 5.

I have recently fell in love with this little taco place in Homestead. I have been 4 times in as many weeks and have yet to be disappointed. For 2.15 you get a somewhat handcrafted taco that cannot be beat. It blows my mind that anon would go down the street to Taco horse meat and pay .99 for something that is sure to give you nightmares later.

Great food...being from California I expect a lot from a taco place....was not disappointed!

I spent many years in San Diego so I must admit I have somewhat of a biased opinion. I thought the food was okay it was a little bland. However on a lighter note is very clean and the staff was more than nice. They have a nice salsa bar and some the hot salsa that I tried was very hot I mean that in a good way. if they put a little more love into the meet it would've been outstanding.

Whenever I'm in the area of Homestead and I'm in the mood for Mexican (which is always) Taqueria Morelia is the place i usually go to. Taqueria Morelia gets two stars because of their food; it's cheap, authentic, they have the best salsa bar EVER and food comes out quickly but other than that service is always sub par, the waitresses just stare strangely at you and always disappear whenever you need them so if you are in need of anything good luck with the wait and if they haven't played the disappearing act then they are all huddled at the hostess table talking amongst themselves but WATCH IT if you try getting their attention because you need something, expect a look of annoyance. I highly recommend staying away from the tacos de carne asada, they lack seasoning. The Hawaiian Alhambra is by far the best dish at this place although its a tad greasy.

All the weitress very rude....horobile service, they never welcome you or introduce themself or tell you good afternoon or morning.

This place is pretty authentic. The tacos, tostadas, and alambres are pretty tasty. Some are greasy but overall ok. Casual place.

I really love this place. Both locations are great. The toppings bar for the food is fresh, clean and delicious. My favorite are tacos al pastor or the pechuga de pollo.

Stopped in for lunch on 8/13/13 and ordered the fish ceviche...wasn't impressed at all, something just wasn't right - either the limes used to marinate the fish were not fresh or they used lime juice from a plastic bottle. The ceviche had an odd, artificial taste to it and way too tart to enjoy. My wife had the carne asada burrito and it wasn't too bad, the meat was a bit bland but that was easy to dress up with all the choices from the salsa bar. Don't get me wrong, although I give it three stars that doesn't mean I won't come back. I may even order the same thing just for consistency purposes. We'll see.

I tried one each of the carne asada, carnitas, and chorizo tacos. The environment was clean and there were plenty of customers, but the service was pretty pathetically slow. The carne asada was dry and didn't have much flavor, but the slice of avocado made it much better. The carnitas was flavorful and delicious with the avocado and some pico. The chorizo was simply the best and I would certainly get it again. The salsa bar has plenty of great options, but the chips are lackluster and you only get one little cup which you cannot refill at the beginning of your meal. I thought I would get another one since they were so small and there was such a variety of salsas. Once my tacos came, I was able to get more of the pico and some type of spicy guacamole salsa, both of which were pretty amazing. Better service and better access to the awesome salsa bar would easily make this place a 4 or higher.

Taqueria Morelia is very good, authentic, Mexican food, and i know being from Chicago, which has barrios exactly like the north of Mexico. that being said, it is not Mexican gourmet. the salsas, guacamole, everything is authentic and good. if you want Tex mex, you are out of luck. that is why the locals eat there. it is a great place to stop(they have other locations) on the way to or from the keys.

I loved this place. If you want a fancy Mexican place you might want to skip it. If you want good honest Mexican food at very reasonable prices you have to eat here. A great staff and the place is very vey clean.

I went in with high expectations after reading all the reviews, I was extremely pleased. I thoroughly enjoyed the carne asada burrito and my friends all loved their meals as well. Plenty of good choices on the menu with a decent salsa bar to pair with your meal. The prices were fair and service was ok. Overall, I will definitely come back, I loved the authentic Mexican food.

Delicious, quick, and cheap Mexican food with a good location in Homestead. I love the selection they had and my family had a variety of dishes when we went here. So I got to try a little bit of everything. I love their beans! They're my fave. Great guac and pico too. They have good sauces. Also, their drinks are great and decently priced, plus they have good specials on certain nights.

Service was horrible and the line server was rude and not friendly. I usually have a good time with my family but one day I went solo. The only server there gave me such an attitude, I gave her no tip but I paid the house. I hope she reads this (if she still works there).

Chips are delicious but they give you a really small bowl and you have to keep asking for more!! Salsa bar is incredible!! They have tons of different types to try!! They have a good selection of food and its pretty tasty but nothing out of this world!

Every time I have come here its solely because the food really is good, but unfortunately the young girls that work there have terrible attitudes. They seem to think they're too good for their jobs. Today we sat for 20 minutes completely ignored. When I went to the front to ask if someone could please take our order, the waitress with Amy Winehouse eyeliner said, "yeah they're going." Who is they? No one showed up for another 10 minutes. Obviously we just had to get up and leave because no one was going to help is. On another occasion when I was there with my parents one waitresses literally yelled at me for asking her to bring chips to the table because my dad already had asked her earlier. The owner is a very sweet, gentle, personable women. When she is there the service is better but if she's not we're all SOL. These waitresses will have some tough lesson in life if they continue to carry themselves in such an awful manner. It's trashy. I vow to never return. There are other hidden gems in Homestead with way better service such as La Pasadita and La Cruzada.

Wow just amazing! This place its spealty is mexican tacos. Me as a mexican i can say DELICIOUS! These tacos are the closest I have tasted that are like the real ones from Mexico. Very good customer servise, they acknowledge you as soon as you walk in. If you are looking for REAL mexican tacos, here you can find them. I will recomend it.

The food for our party gets mixed reviews. The burrito and fajitas were just so-so, but the alambre hawaiian was super good. However, the extremely sloooooow service and disappearing waitress ruined the entire meal for us. I would not go back.

Disappointed that there is no way I'll find good Mexican food in Miami, I made the drive to this place based on Yelp reviews. Good choice! I just went ahead and ordered tacos of different meats (they have bisteck, trompo, suadero, etc). I was actually happy to not get some damn white rice and whole black beans like they serve in "Mexican restaurants" in Miami, actually had frijoles refritos and Mexican rice. I was excited about the salsas, but I was disappointed with that. For some reason I was expecting more than just 4 types of salsas. They were not as spicy as I was hoping for. Overall, I really liked my food and I'm definitely going back for those times when I feel homesick. :)

Still trying to find some good authentic mexican food around here. Being from Southern California I am used to the type of mexican food I grew up eating and as I have moved to various places across the country I make it a mission to find the same kind of food wherever I go and often have difficulty. The food here was okay. Ordered some carneasada tacos and the meat was dry and salty. When it hit my plate it sounded like little rocks falling on it. They weren't bad but they weren't good either. The only thing I really liked was the horchata.

So one afternoon I sat up and said I NEED TACOS!!! I called up a girlfriend and insisted she must drive down here and eat Tacos with me because of course Homestead would be the place to eat some real tacos. I read so many good things about this place so I said we have to try it. We both ordered chicken and steak tacos. The chicken were great, but we both agreed the steak were just...ehh not good. The service was awful. We only managed to order and eat 4 tacos each and yet we were there for an HOUR AND A HALF. I underestimated the spicy guac sauce and soaked up all my soda, waited 15 for the waitress to come by to order another and then waited another 20 before she brought it to my table. She finally brings my soda after Im finished and ready to leave, I asked for the check. 30 minutes go by before the check finally comes. I might eat here again, only if it's take out and only if my only other choice is Taco Bell. Maybe it was because we didn't obviously blend in, maybe it was because my friend was obviously gringa ("Can I get cheese on my taco?" "Where's the tomatos & lettuce") I don't really know why the experience sucked so bad.

I give 'Taqueria Morelia' 5 NACHOS! Very good, Fast Mexican food. I had the taks, 3 chicken and 2 'carne asada' hard to say which is better so get both if you fox with chick and beef. Also had the guac and chips.. delish! New to the homestead area and i will be giving the good folks at Morelias a visit in my near future. Till next time, The Funky Cowboy.

Dear T. Morelia, Recently I went looking for good tacos at another restaurant that wasn't you. Their service wasn't anywhere near as quick, friendly, and good as yours. The tacos were lame, and they had none of the fixins' you do. Their chips were better than yours, but hey, nobody's perfect, right? They certainly don't have anything like the selection of salsas you do. I was too afraid to even ask what their burritos looked like. There was no way they could be as plump, stuffed, and gooey as yours, not to mention cheap. I went there because that place was prettier, but I've learned that what really matters is what's inside. Please forgive me for being unfaithful. I swear it'll never happen again. See you soon, my love.

Delicious food, great service and cheap! First time in, the waitress was very friendly and helpful with recommendations, ended up with, steak tacos, cheese quesidilla, taqiutos, guacamole, something called an alambres (amazing), and beans and rice. There are no frills and it is not fancy but it is super good food. The steak tacos were just a tortilla, steak and a slice of avocado. I'm normally a fill it up kind of eater but nothing else could have made that taco any better. I almost always leave the beans and rice untouched at Mexican restaurants, but even these were great. I live in Kendall and I would make another trip just to eat there again.

First time here and I had an alambre and it was sooo good! It had carne asada, bell peppers, Mexican bacon, onions and melted cheese on top! so yummy! The portion was pretty big, I was only able to eat half! The salsa bar was great too! There was one sauce in specific that was perfect - it was like watered down spicy guacamole. I could not have enough of it! My friend had the steak flautas and those were also very good. The only thing I would complain about is their slow service. The place wasn't even that busy, but they took a while to bring me a new fork after the waitress dropped it. But aside from that, it was great!

Clean and inexpensive, ok food, but the service was slow even though there were only two other tables occupied. Ordered the tacos with flour tortillas instead of corn and was told it would be an extra charge - figured it was 25 cents so I ordered them anyway only to be surprised when we got the check that it was a dollar extra per taco. When I asked why so much I was told it was because the tortillas were bigger and they had to use more meat - but my partner ordered the regular tacos and they were NOT any smaller, nor did MY tacos have more meat. Sure, it was a not a lot of money but it was a blatant lie. The dessert menu showed six or seven items but when we ordered one, we were told they only had two of the items shown. All this coupled with the slow service and average food made our experience not that great. Won't be going back.

Well what can i say have been to the original on Palm Drive and would have to say that one is better at least for service. The food at this location is great, ive had the hawaiin alhambre, is it awesome. When we got to restaurant it wasnt that packed but it seems the girl took forever to get us just the sodas and water then to plates too.Overall service could be better.

Taqueria Morelia offers a nice bunch of free salsas to pair with your taco or burrito: spicy guacamole, hot red salsa, some chipotle blend, and one that slips my mind. They serve their tacos only with the tortilla shell, avocado slice, and meat. All additional items that you want to coat your taco with can be received from the salsa bar area. The burritos were all right for the price; would have been nice if they added a little more meat.

After passing this place a million times we decided to check it out. First of all, pack your patience in a Saturday because parking is a nightmare! Ok now on to the review of the food. The highlights are the salsa bar, soft drinks in a glass bottle, the friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. We ordered the Queso Fundido app, it was a large bowl with a melted blob of cheese. Now I've had Queso Fundido before and this was just ...eh. " Se deja comer" is a saying that comes to mind for the Spanish speakers. We both ordered burritos, my hubby got the carne asada and I went with the chicken. The carne asada burrito was delicious! Tender steak cut up bite sized with beans, cheese, tomato, and lettuce. The chicken in mine was stewed in a cinnamony flavored red sauce ( not indicated on the menu) with the same toppings as previously mentioned. I wasn't a fan of the flavor but gave it a chance until I pulled a large cartilage /joint piece from the burrito. Um...so there went my appetite. I ended up asking for a replacement and got a tostada with steak instead. That was really good and a large portion. Overall, there are other places in the area that I would prefer.

This place is the real deal. The tacos are freakin amazing. The salsa bar has some of the best salsas I have ever had. I can't remember ever going to a cleaner restaurant in Florida. The employees are outstanding. I am looking forward to visiting Taqueria Morelia again soon.

Authentic Mexican food in a very clean atmosphere. Had the alambre which I had never heard of. Awesome dish. Very affordable lunch at $20 for 2 people

A really good, clean, neat, organized, Mexican Restaurant. It looks like the owners have set the place as the beginning of a franchise, which is not necessarily bad, they are really trying hard. The Chile Relleno is great as were the variety of tacos we tried. Both of the waitresses were really nice and helpful. The selection of cold Mexican beers is extensive. There is a great serve yourself salsa/condiment bar.

Stopped in on way to keys. Wa starving so just pulled over and searched yelp. Upon walking in no one is here. Got our chips fast. Build your own salsa bar. Couple of them have a real punch. Wife at the green salsa said was hot. I tried it not to hot. I mixed the pico and some red sauce great great heat and veggies. We ordered the 6 taco meal two of chicken, pork, and steak. Chicken was outstanding pork was good steak was okay. Would stop again if I was in the area

Ok, first of all I LOVE mexican food. Growing up in East L.A. and living in Homestead most of my adult life has exposed me to some great authentic Mexican dishes, and I absolutely love it. But....This place doesn't cut it. The staff is young and friendly, and the service is good. The place is relatively new and clean yet there were fruit flies everywhere. Not appetizing. The food was very bland, not typical of authentic homestyle Mexican. The prices are very low and they offer a good variety of sauces to go with your dish, but the sauces are the only thing that had any flavor here. We had some steak tacos - the meat was unseasoned and dry. Looked to have been pre-cooked and reheated. The burritos were big and had some awesome cheese sauce in them but again the meat and other filling left a lot to be desired. The chips were so greasy we couldn't eat them, and the side of refried beans looked dry and caked up - we didn't even try them. The original place on Palm drive is much more enjoyable even though they have the same menu, and that location is much smaller. Go there instead. Skip this one.

A nice little taco shop good fast and cheap. The Bistek a la plancha was what I ordered The steak was awesome however the beans and rice were OK. Plus they serve the old school coke in the bottle this is definitely very cool. if you want fast food at a good price this is the place to go. I would definitely go back.

This place is excellent! Clean quick delicious and the prices are reasonable. Steak burrito was really too big for one person. Two tacos were just right, ask for lettuce and tomato on them, then add your fab sauce fr the salsa bar. Fresh cilantro onions and jalapeño are also available. It's a winner!

Homemade corn tortillas, pork tacos, alambre, wonderful salsas. Restaurant was very clean and had great service on Saturday night. We stayed in homestead on our way to key west and this was a nice find in the land of chain restaurants.

morelia is one of the better true mexican places in homstead. they have two locations, this one and one at a gas station. the food is about same IMO but this locations is nicer looking. what you will find here - true mexican food what you wont find here - crunchy tacos (which annoys the crap out of me) i had a burrito. good size, quite tasty, and fresh. prices are very fair.

I'm giving one star is because I have to it won't let me post no stars. Let me start by say Chipotle is great however THIS one is awful. I'll be call the regional office in the morning. The staff here is slow, rude, condescending and is soooo typical Miami and by that I mean rude. Ordered the tacos asked for fresh tomatoes with out pico or onions. Told they don't have it. All others do. The pico was soup. The chicken grilling in the back was unattended and burning the sink to the left was left running and open. I guess the employees are sticking it the owners. Asked for a little cheese and lettuce the dumped a boat load of cheese to compensate for not having lettuce. Simple said I wish they would have told me. Girl in a soft voice tells the lone to let people know and smiles. I simply said never mind and paid for my daughters food and told them not to ring me up for the tacos. The cashier was stunned go figure. Recommend tex mex. Further south or Moe's a little east of this location. HQ needs to overhaul this location.

The food is okay here, in my opinion the best thing you can order here is Tacos, because the rest of the menu has a lot of grease and fat. I would give it 5 stars but the waiters here tend to forget about their tables, so if your looking for good tacos and not cheap fake tacos like taco bell this is the place. But don't come here in a rush, because the waiters are slow.
(3)
Nato S.
Pretty good. Service is seriously lacking. Salsa and toppings at the salsa bar are all pretty good and pair well with the tacos and tostadas. Meat could use a bit more seasoning (IMO). Queso Fundido is literally just a block of presumably microwaved cheese. Not too tasty, very underwhelming. Tortillas are all hand made on sight (saw them making them through the kitchen window) which explains why they're so yummy; as are the fresh chips. Nothing life changing. Your call.
(3)
Nick J.
The service is slow and the waiters don't really pay much attention to you. The food isn't so good either, to much Greece and not worth the money. Even tho it's cheap. If you want real delicious Mexican food, go to "El Toro Taco or Casita tejas" trust me, you won't regret it... Don't Waste your time at this dump....

I have to lower my rating for this place in account of the bad service we received today. We arrived and stood by the door for about five minutes until anybody noticed us, even though some waitress passed us by several times. The tacos al pastor were ok, the pork was overly cooked and crispy which made the texture chewy instead of tender. After we finished eating, we waited for 15 minutes until we had to call a waitress and ask for our check, nobody came to refill the water or asked if we needed anything else. Even after the check came we still had to wait over 10 minutes for anybody to pick it up.

The stars are only for the food, it's delicious. I've been here on multiple occasions But costumer service sucks and every time and I'm all about the CS so I will not be back. The one in Florida City has better CS.

Mexican food is hard to find in SoFlo, where Cuban eats reign supreme in the realm of latino cuisine. But here it is. Is it gonna change your life? No. Have you ever lived in California? This place won't meet your standards. But their tostadas are solid, and their tacos too. Why? How? Their saaaaalllllssssaaaaa barrrrrrrr. I go for lunch all the time and order two tacos or one tostada with double meat. I'm stuffed (like, sweatpants stuffed) for under $8. Service is hands off, but never malicious. Just don't expect the Ritz-Carlton. These ladies are busy.

What a delicious discovery! This little taqueria may not look like much, it's connected to a gas station, but the food is flavorful and inexpensive. Fresh ingredients and they make a variety of their own salsas. Their tomatillo salsa is amazing. We shared Alambre Sencillo and a Suadero Tostada. Plenty of great food & the staff was very nice and thorough.

Let me start of with saying that this is my first time coming to this restaurant and I can affirm u will be back plenty of time. This place is delicious. As an appetizer with got the queso fundido and holy Jesus that has been the most delicious thing ever. Especially with a little of the green sauce they have. As an entree I got the alambre sensillo and it was out of these world good. I am completely in love with this place. Especially the variety of sauces they have to offer it's insane. The workers were all friendly and professional I highly recommend this place. You have to come and try it out worth the drive.

Had the burrito and it was ok. The steak tacos where pretty good. And the homemade chips and guac where my highlight. Great flavor in the guac very fresh!

Honestly, I'm really glad that Yelp steered me towards Taqueria Morelia. I only wish had ordered for take-out, as the service was pretty despicable. Although I can't expect too much from a place where I'm getting my fill of tacos for under $8 and get to watch telenovelas on Univision, I didn't bank on spending over an hour at the dinner table. The pros are that Morelia has an awesome menu with a great selection of authentic Mexican food and great little street tacos. The prices are unbelievably cheap. I fell in love with the salsa bar, and my only regret was not having the foresight to ask for (right away) more serving cups so that I could sample every salsa from the well-labelled bar. There are also self-serve peppers, lime wedges, and other condiments. I love that the salsa bar had mostly spicy options, which was perfect for me. When you're served your little dish of tortilla strips (not chips), you're brought one cup (maybe more if you're in a bigger party) to take up to the salsa bar to fill with your salsa of choice. Keeping prices down with self-service! It's great. Too bad I couldn't have gone back to the kitchen to get my tacos when they were ready... I ordered a taco al pastor, a taco de pollo, and a taco de suadero (beef rib meat). I was really bummed that my al pastor taco didn't have pineapple on top, even after I asserted to the waitress that I did in fact want pineapple. She never came back over to me, so I wasn't able to ask for said pineapple. The pollo was pretty good; I liked the avocado slices. The suadero was pretty good as well, and I enjoyed covering it in cilantro and pico de gallo. Okay, so my bill was like $7 or $8 dollars for the three tacos. I really can't complain. I just wanted to take more of a part in that salsa bar and get my pineapple on my pastor and get out, but it just wasn't happening. Therefore, I definitely recommend Taqueria Morelia, but probably only for takeout.

I've here three times and I've always ordered the Morelia tacos 6 of them with everything. I've tried other foods but ehhh it was not good. But the tacos are their thing. They also have a salsa bar, fresh ingredients!! Oh and they sell horchata. Not a fancy place, you go in and sit down (no hostess), and enjoy the tacos

My family and I just went to this local restaurant and I'm glad we stopped to check it out. Delicious food ... Clean restaurant.... Authentic Mexican food. I had the carnitas and my husband had a quesadilla . The salsa bar for the chips was delicious. We can't wait to go back. Good service.

We absolutely love this restaurant. After having been here on a few occasions for take out and dining-in, I can honestly say this is the best Mexican food I've had in Miami and maybe anywhere. The service isn't great but it's about what you'd expect from this type of restaurant. The food is served relatively quickly with no-frills but always very fresh and of high quality. From the salsa bar, the light green avocado based salsa is amazing. If you top it with cilantro and a bit of pico de gallo it makes the perfect dipping sauce for the nachos. I usually enjoy the six taco combination and mix it up with chicken, carne asada, and some of the other beef samplings. I would suggest that you steer-clear of the desserts as neither the flan nor the tres-leches is very good. Nevertheless, the beer is always cold and the food is always great, making this taco shop worth the drive. On a final note, where else in Miami can you feed a family of five, very, very well for a total bill of $57 including tip and beer?

Everything about this place is great. Except for the food, which is absolutely awful. Here's all you need to know: they serve their burritos with a knife and fork.

Food is great. Service is not. Took forever to take our order and then gave us crazy eyes when I asked for my toddlers food to be made without any toppings. Worst thing that's ever happened to me in any restaurant, the waitress took my plate without asking and I still had food on it! I'll be back only because it was delicious but I might just go the takeout route instead.

Great authentic Mexican food! I had the alambre, it was a lot of food, perfect for two people.

Service was somewhat slow and waitress didn't seem happy. The food took longer than usual to come out and was average. Had better authentic Mexican. Waited a very long time to request for another drink. They didn't come back until the end to ask if everything was ok. Ended up just requesting for water.

Excellent food. Both locations are great. They never disappoint!

I heard a lot of good things about Taqueria Morelia so decided to check it out. As soon as we walked in the waitress was following us with chips and small cups to fill at their salsa station. Chips were good and the salsa station is small but has everything you you'll need. I ordered a taco Al pastor not the best I've had and will not be ordering again. I'm no expert on these tacos I have only had them from one other restaurant and These weren't as flavorful as the others and also didn't like that it was pieces of pork rather than shredded like the others I've had before. I also ordered a tostada with carne asada that was really good almost ordered a 2nd. I loved that my tostada didn't crumble after the first bite and the meat was well seasoned. Perfect lettuce to crema to cheese ratio. Lastly I had a taste of chicken Torta and it was good not really my kind of dish but my husband really enjoyed it. Is this place AMAZING ? Not really. Will I go back? Yes, if that makes any sense.

I have to give the lowest rating to this place for the awful service my family and I received. As soon as we entered, we got a table and the menus. After 15 minutes waiting to at least get water, we waived the waitress to come and take our order. We were very hungry, so we ordered all at once - 4 beers, 2 aguas frescas, an appetizer (choriqueso) and 18 tacos. After 35 minutes (and I'm not exaggerating) my mother in law had to stand up and look for the waitress because not even our appetizer had been served. One of the waitress came to table to confirm our food was not there, and after other 10 minutes we were still there with nothing on the table. At that point that was just just unacceptable - 1 HOUR at the restaurant and not even the appetizer was there. We left the place, very angry and still very hungry. Again this is a review just for the service because I didn't have the chance to try the food

The place inside was very clean, I had House special tacos with Carne Asada, fried pork and chorizo were to die for best tacos and the Carne Asada, burrito was also very good and I'm not a fan of burritos because I don't like the beans inside but the way this restaurant makes it was different in a good way not too much bean and full with seasoned meat till the last bite!!!!! Will be going back soon.

I have been to Taqueria Morelia at least 10 times, usually for take out but occasionally for dine in. The food is decent, service hit and miss and the location is always pretty clean. It isn't the cheapest Mexican in the area, but I like the cleanliness and it's convenient to a family member's house. They don't allow substitutions, which I don't like. Last week I requested a quesadilla with just veggies: onions, peppers, whatever they had. They declined, saying it was either with meat and veggies or just cheese. Seems a bit ridiculous to me, but I didn't push it and ended up with just cheese. It wasn't very good. The tacos are the best item on the menu. Make sure to go to the salsa bar to get toppings, even if ordering take out (they should give little to go containers for you to get your own toppings), otherwise you'll be eating a corn tortilla with just meat on it. I haven't tried their enchiladas, but my family always really likes them. We always end up paying at least $15 pp with take out, and that is for a modest amount of food. So again, definitely not cheap considering it's in the middle of Homestead, but I'm sure we'll be going back.

Walked into this place and was looked at by all the staff but ignored. Took me 25 minutes to place a takeout order. I asked a question about the menu and was laughed at. Still waiting on food an hour later, still being ignored as the workers eat in front of me, and might I ad the obviously weren't taught what manners or respect was. needless to say I definitely won't be coming back here. At this point the food won't even save this place.

So the tacos were amaze-balls!! Always nice to find authentic Mexican tacos. I had the tacos de lengua and carne asada. I wish the condiment bar was bigger. Kind of annoying making lines waiting for everyone to get their condiments and toppings.
(4)
Matthew N.
Tacos were decent but everything else lacked about the restaurant. Chips came in a very small amount and I was never offered a refill. Soda came in a can and again was never asked for a refill. They have a silly rule about having a ten dollar minimum on credit card use, which is not always met when eating alone. I would not eat here again.

Everything was delicious, big portions and good service. The only thing was that the beer for my michelada was not cold enough.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Really good Mexican food. Fast service. The moment you sit down you get the chips. All you have to do is go to the sauce bar. Food is incredible. Thank god I found this spot
(5)Ruth C.
This place has great food! Real Mexican taquerias were hard to find in Miami, and this place was one of the few I came across. It's such a gem.
(4)Janio V.
(4)Krizzy B.
Food was good and so was the waiting service. Fast and efficient and the price was right!
(4)Fanny M.
Will definitely be going back :-)
(5)Chris S.
Great spot for lunch, always have a great meal. Have been coming here for around 3 years. The salsas are spicy and delicious I would suggest anything from the burrito or tacos to the enchiladas or toastadas. I will be coming back for many more lunches.
(4)Chris K.
Service and food were both OK.
(3)Danya L.
(3)Z P.
(4)Dave C.
(5)Michelle K.
Great food...being from California I expect a lot from a taco place....was not disappointed!
(4)Rich M.
(3)Tati M.
(2)Mary P.
All the weitress very rude....horobile service, they never welcome you or introduce themself or tell you good afternoon or morning.
(1)Daniel B. O.
This place is pretty authentic. The tacos, tostadas, and alambres are pretty tasty. Some are greasy but overall ok. Casual place.
(3)Alisa K.
I really love this place. Both locations are great. The toppings bar for the food is fresh, clean and delicious. My favorite are tacos al pastor or the pechuga de pollo.
(5)David O.
We'll see.
(3)David S.
(3)Brian G.
(4)Jennifer C.
Really good ! I love their pico de gallo .i always get the steak burrito never disappoints
(4)Jean Randall G.
The service is great, super friendly... Great tacos! I love the salsa.. Food so fresh you'll order the menu
(4)Ed D.
Quality and quick with a variety of some if the best salsas and fresh cilantro. Thanks to Yelp for helping us find a delicious lunch!
(5)Richard N.
I loved this place. If you want a fancy Mexican place you might want to skip it. If you want good honest Mexican food at very reasonable prices you have to eat here. A great staff and the place is very vey clean.
(4)Wil A.
(4)Alejandra M.
(4)Ale M.
Great food!! Their tacos are the best and salsa bar super !!! The horchata is pretty good !!! Love their tacos al pastor ! Prices are decent!
(4)Ru V.
Service was horrible and the line server was rude and not friendly. I usually have a good time with my family but one day I went solo. The only server there gave me such an attitude, I gave her no tip but I paid the house. I hope she reads this (if she still works there).
(1)Melody O.
Chips are delicious but they give you a really small bowl and you have to keep asking for more!! Salsa bar is incredible!! They have tons of different types to try!! They have a good selection of food and its pretty tasty but nothing out of this world!
(3)Val C.
(1)Mari J.
(5)Jeff S.
The food for our party gets mixed reviews. The burrito and fajitas were just so-so, but the alambre hawaiian was super good. However, the extremely sloooooow service and disappearing waitress ruined the entire meal for us. I would not go back.
(2)Marisol C.
Awesome place great tacos! Love the spice bar. Very nice staff. Totally live this place!
(5)Deyanira G.
(4)Marc P.
The Best Real Mexican Taco in south Florida, very nice and clean place, you can bring your whole family. Affordable prices.
(4)Lacey E.
(2)Diana D.
(2)Mario G.
(5)R R.
so far the best mexican food ive found in south florida. Anything in actual miami is fake. This is as close as it gets coming from a mexican from the west coast
(4)Pat M.
(4)Jason G.
(5)Lorena G.
(4)Camila R.
(2)Jessica B.
(3)Albie F.
(3)Jorge G.
First time at this location. I prefer the one on florida city. Poor service. She never came back after dropping off the food which was just ok. Wont be back.
(1)Catherine L.
(2)Matthew O.
This place is the real deal. The tacos are freakin amazing. The salsa bar has some of the best salsas I have ever had. I can't remember ever going to a cleaner restaurant in Florida. The employees are outstanding. I am looking forward to visiting Taqueria Morelia again soon.
(5)Matthew C.
Authentic Mexican food in a very clean atmosphere. Had the alambre which I had never heard of. Awesome dish. Very affordable lunch at $20 for 2 people
(4)Michael S.
(4)ted C.
(4)Lori R.
(2)Jennifer C.
(3)Foodie W.
(5)Mary D.
Homemade corn tortillas, pork tacos, alambre, wonderful salsas. Restaurant was very clean and had great service on Saturday night. We stayed in homestead on our way to key west and this was a nice find in the land of chain restaurants.
(4)Robert C.
morelia is one of the better true mexican places in homstead. they have two locations, this one and one at a gas station. the food is about same IMO but this locations is nicer looking. what you will find here - true mexican food what you wont find here - crunchy tacos (which annoys the crap out of me) i had a burrito. good size, quite tasty, and fresh. prices are very fair.
(4)Jimmy R.

Your call.

Great food in a "unique" setting. Love the salsa bar. Process are great. Very informal.

Bare bones but delicious. The salsa bar is fresh and good. The fish ceviche is amazing. Good prices. I Will have to go back next go around.

The food here is amazing and is always quick to come out. The people are nice and the salsa bar is always fresh and the best in homestead.

(3)Sven V.
Great authentic Mexican food! I had the alambre, it was a lot of food, perfect for two people.
(4)Frances P.
Service was somewhat slow and waitress didn't seem happy. The food took longer than usual to come out and was average. Had better authentic Mexican. Waited a very long time to request for another drink. They didn't come back until the end to ask if everything was ok. Ended up just requesting for water.
(3)Vanessa S.

Excellent Mexican food great service good portions good price must try the queso fundido will definitely return too stuffed to write a solid review mmmmmm

(4)Amar S.
This is a great place . We were there for 4 days and went there 5 times . Lol Awesome food , cheap and fresh. Must visit! Al-pastor taco and quesadilla were my favs!!
(5)Yaima C.
Excellent Mexican!! Enchiladas verdes with cheese or any of their tacos are to die for! The service is not sp great but it's all about the authentic mexican food,.

(1)Gladys R.
So the tacos were amaze-balls!! Always nice to find authentic Mexican tacos. I had the tacos de lengua and carne asada. I wish the condiment bar was bigger. Kind of annoying making lines waiting for everyone to get their condiments and toppings.
(4)Matthew N.
(2)Aileen A.
Everything was delicious, big portions and good service. The only thing was that the beer for my michelada was not cold enough.
