I've never been to a Salvadorian place before, it was sooo good! We had the plantains, pupusas chicharrones con queso and I had a tamarindo drink!! All so amazing for a great price!! I was so full! I would eat here everyday for lunch if I lived down here!!

I've only been to this spot once since I was only in Florida for vacation but WOW loved it!! We found this place on yelp and it was such a big hit. Everything! great service! The food was excellent. It may not be a fancy place but everything was perfect. This is a must go! I would definitely come back.

Salvadorean cuisine, check! Yes, restaurant is called Salvadoran Cuisine. Pupusas are a thick corn tortilla that has a filling - google it! - Pupusas at $1, they have a great variety for the filling: chicharron con queso, queso, queso con lorroco, revueltas (frijoles, chicharron y queso); the sauces and repollo can't be missed! They bring containers full of it! - Tostadas de Pollo o Carne: the toastada feels crunchy (hint hint, it's recently made), lettuce, crema, pollo, queso fresco - Caldo de Res: reminds of a hearty soup just like the ones made at home, clear broth, great taste, rice & tortilla - Salvadorian horchata, not a big fan. - Atol de elote, I was expecting better. The atol was a bit on the watery side and it was missing more elote flavor! Place is very clean, service is good. Pupusas take a bit of time since they are made to order.

Great food! Great rico! We ordered several different flavors of the papusas. They were all delicious. We also ordered a sampler plate with chirozo, bifstek, carnitas, etc. Everything was delicious, the food was well prepared, the service was friendly (but being able to speak Spanish is a real help). We also had refrescas (pina, horchata, niceas). Everything was delicious (the horchata was different from Mexican Horchata, very nutty). The prices were very fair. We fed four people, drinks, and one dessert for $34.71, with tip I was at $41.71. I will return again!

How are pupusas only $1 here? Some of the pupusas were as high as $1.50 which had more ingredients or "premium" ingredients. I've had a lot of pupusas in California so it wasn't the best based on my experience but it was definitely above average and you can't complain about the very affordable price that they offer. I enjoyed my pupusa with loroco, chicken, and cheese the best (you have to request this combination specifically because if you just order the pupusa de pollo, it should just have chicken inside w/o cheese or loroco). There are very nice people here and I hope their business continues to thrive in Homestead.

I was curious about this place for a while and finally gave it a shot. The pupusas are authentic and delicious and are surprisingly low price. They have awesome cuajada (cheese) and I love their tortillas. The horchata is delicious. They also have natural juices, I tried the passion fruit (maracuya) and it is so good I haven't tried any other ones but I plan to. I also tried their carne asada, not the same as the Nicaraguan kind but it is a tasty dish and they give you a lot of food. Good food for a good price, definitely a new addition to my repertoire.

Sweetest waitresses anywhere!!! 100 % Latinas that answer your question with followed by "mi amor". Food is very aithentic and rich. Not a lot of spices but very earthy foods that speak for themselves. Pupusas are good and was nicely surprised by the chicken tamales. The cafe con Leche is good but I wish it had a richer cuban coffee taste. Low end cafeteria atmosphere with about 12 tables surrounded by 6 booths. The waitresses and food make this place easily one of the best restaurants in homestead and unlike most restaurants ANYWHERE it promises little but delivers big! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

After three positive visits, I'd give this Salvadoran restaurant a strong 3.5 but since I can't and we have been drawn back here three times, I'm ok giving them 4 stars. Why they deserve 4 stars: -great papusas -great tostadas -pretty good burrito (different tasting than a Mexican burrito) -great tamarind juice -pretty good tamale -great prices They have a few more items we still want to try Why they deserve 3 stars: -interior is just ok and doesn't make you want to eat in. We always get take out because of this -Although the steak tostada taste is great, I've bitten down on a fatty cut once or twice in our three visits

I have grown up eating good salvadorian food. And this place is extremely close to it. I love Salvadorian food. It reminds me of home. There pupusas are so delicious. But the best part cheap. I have been 3 different times and they don't dissapoint ever. I love tamal de pollo y tamal de elote. Both of them are so delicious!!! My partner always gets a dinner and they give a lot of food. And every time I go it is always packed with people. So I know that I'm not the only one that thinks so.

Delicious food and excellent prices. They have excellent customer service. However, the food takes a while. I suggest you don't come here if you want your food immediately. It takes time, but it's worth the wait. Pupusas are only $1!

I ordered the pork pupusas and chicken tostada on my vacation from Southern California. They were really tasty, really inexpensive, you could tell they made their own slaw and were really friendly!! Best El Salvadorian food I've ever had.

Servers are very friendly. Prices are phenomenal and the food is great. I've had just about everything from the menu except for seafood dishes because I don't like seafood. That being said I haven't eaten something that I didn't like. I would definitely recommended this restaurant, A hidden gem in Homestead!

What a great find! While searching for a restaurant near Biscayne National Park in Homestead, I came across Salvadoran Cuisine on my Yelp mobile app. Considering I had never eaten Salvadoran food, this option greatly intrigued me, and seeing one dollar sign ("$") rather than 2 or 3, told me that prices would be affordable -- a must! Seeing the positive Yelp reviews further convinced me that this would be a great choice. As soon as my friend and I walked in, we were greeted and told to sit anywhere. Within seconds of sitting down, the menus were brought over, despite the fact the place was quite full -- impressive. I saw a mixed dish in the menu called the Parrillada, and thought this would be a great introduction to the Central American cuisine. My friend wanted an appetizer and since the prices were so low, he decided to get the chicken soup, while I got a Pupusa, which was just $1.00. I didn't know what a Pupusa was, or what to expect, but the waitress patiently explained that it is similar to an arepa. It was stuffed with cheese, beans, and pork, very flavorful. We quickly got our food, and I was surprised by the soup. It was quite a large portion for being an appetizer, so I shared it with my friend. It was very light yet tasty, with a clear broth, pieces of cabbage, root vegetables, and a chicken quarter on the bone. It reminded me of the way my mom makes soup, as she puts drumsticks, breasts or quarters to boil and that is how she makes the broth and the soup. I'm tired of finding restaurant chicken soup is actually just chicken-flavored broth drenched in MSG and salt, without any chicken at all, or if you're lucky, 2 or 3 meager chunks, so this was great. It also came with rice and a tortilla. This would be a great meal to have if you are feeling sick or have an upset stomach. My friend agreed that it had that homemade quality to it and was nurturing. Throughout our meal, we kept being asked if everything was okay, and getting our drinks refilled. After canoeing for several hours, the cold drinks and quick refills were very, very welcomed. Next came the parrillada, which my friend and I split. It came with pieces of steak, shrimp, pork chops, chicken breast, pupusas, tostones, plantains, and black beans. The meat was incredibly flavorful, I'm curious to know what seasoning they use on the meat, it was delicious! We had more than enough food to fill us up, so this is a good dish to split if you're a party of two. I was dying to try a dessert, but my friend was too full to share a dessert, sadly. All in all, I'm glad I gave this place a try. It was a welcomed change from the usual Mexican restaurants in Homestead! The food was great, prices were incredibly reasonable, and the service was friendly, always with a smile, and very attentive. I truly felt welcomed here. I definitely will return if I find myself in the area again!

Very good authentic el Salvadorian food. Busy place. Sampler platter was huge - we shared it and we were both full. Great friendly service. Surprised at how inexpensive it was.

The tamales were good. The papusas were very good (bean and/or cheese). I got the shrimp entree which wasn't great but it was a lot of food. My friend got the chicken quesadilla which he said was amazing. Authentic and overall very good. I would go back for the papusas!

Awesome and delicious food. Reminds me of my mom's Salvadorian cooking. The pupusas are authentic and if you feel like some sopa de res this is the place to get it from. The seafood soup is amazing and huge as well. Takes a while to make after you order. But, well worth the wait with all the trimmings.

Wanted to try something different and this place had good reviews, what an awesome place very friendly and helpful staff explaining the food. First time eating El Salvadorian food and it very delicious. My kids loved the popusas and found it a little funny saying it. For the money you are guaranteed to leave there stuffed!!!!
