What an awesome place. Let's get something straight, people come here most of the time because knausberry farm is closed. There is no shame in this since that one is very known. However this little place should be right there next to it. I love it and the fact that I don't have to deal with the hassle of knausberry, I think this beats it. Open everyday day and doesn't close for those annoying months. This place is delicious. I had the cinnamon bun looking things (not cinnamon buns but close to them) and they were amazing. Out of this world tasty. I ordered 6 and had restrain myself from eating all of them. The tutti frutty shake was amazing as well; and very refreshing considering the fact it was 90 out. I would come back here again and again without hesitation. Much much much better than knaus berry farm.

Phil's Berry Farm was the first of our three stops in Homestead. It was a really hot Florida day, so the indoor barn and no lines were a welcome sight. I recommend the monkey breads and strawberry shakes. Save all your fruit buying for Homestead if you're visiting the farms. You never know what great fruit they'll have in stock. The strawberry shake was delicious. We headed to the nearby Knaus Berry Farm afterwards and compared both strawberry shakes. We all preferred Phil's shake. It had more of a strawberry flavor. The staff at Phil's was extremely patient and friendly as we mulled over their fruit and menu items. We decided to share a few Monkey Breads. These are so adorable and are a delight to eat. The employee warmed up a couple for us so they were hot and gooey. It's a fun dessert or breakfast item to share because you each get a toothpick and skewer little bits off. There are a couple cute photo opportunities around the farm. A cow statue. A wooden thing you put your head in. Inside there are tons of toys for kids and games like giant checkers. It was nice to sit on the indoor benches and eat our treats. I was super impressed that the benches and toys seemed really CLEAN. I wouldn't be worried if my nephew wanted to play with the toys. It's a small thing but it shows that the owner and the employees care about their customers. When it's cooler out, I'll try to come back for a farm tour. Remember to bring cash.

Drove all the way to Knaus Berry, and we got there at 5:30pm on the dot but they closed the window on us. As we were driving off we ran into Phils Berry Farm to give it a try. We ordered the Monkey Bread and a Strawberry shake! However, nowhere did it say that it was CASH ONLY and we had $0 in cash. The owner, Phil, was very sweet to tell us not to worry and asked us to just mail him a check when we got a chance. The monkey bread was fresh and DELICIOUS! The shake was good too and we loved the service! Recommended!!

Honestly, the lines were too long down the street so we ended up here for lunch. This place is great!! If you don't want to wait in lines, this place can't be beat! The monkey bread was unbelievably good. I am craving a slice right now just writing this review. I also appreciated the seat (again as opposed to down the street)!

Everything here is perfect - the ambience, the attitude. This place is very kids friendly. We were here during the strawberry season and their strawberries are super clean - no chemicals or sprays - and very tasty! And don't forget to try the shakes - we had banana shakes and they were amazing!

So of course there is something to be said about visiting the local farmers when in Rome and Phil's is the best! Yes there is another great spot near by for shakes and such - but Phil should not be ignored! Save the time and lines and check this cute spot out!

All I have to say is... Monkey bread and strawberry shake!!!!! SOOO yummy! This is definitely a place you want to compare to Knaus Berry and Burr's Berry Farm. Family oriented and great photo stations.

This place is adorable! It reminds me of an after school hangout for little kids, where they have toys, games, and snacks. The atmosphere is very peaceful, and the people who own and work here are very pleasant. They sell fruit and fruit trees that I wish I would've bought. The lady at the front makes banana bread at her house, then sells it here (do yourself a favor and get one!). Their strawberry shakes and grilled cheese sandwiches are very simple, but they do the job well done. I would've liked to spend more time here, but we were on our way to Monkey Jungle!

This place is cool. We stumbled upon this place when we were leaving the Redlands. The sign said "Best Shakes in Town." I said to myself, "what a bold statement." But i like the confidence, lol, so we pulled over and put them to the test. We got some fresh baked brownies (awesome), monkey bread (funny name, also awesome), dont worry its not made with real monkey, we asked, and last but not least we ordered some shakes (you guessed it, freakin awesome). So we sat down after a long day of walking through nurseries, played a few games of chess and savoured our delicious treats. It was a good day. Search for this place, find it, and eat the monkey bread, you wont regret it.

I love this place! The owner, Phil, is a really nice guy. He gave me a tour once when it wasn't busy. Monkey bread and strawberry shakes are awesome, and I crave them throughout the year. Phil's is open all year, unlike the more popular or famous places. Personally, the shakes are better here than at the other places as well. I also love that he has toys and games and even a swing set for the kids to play while you wait for your shakes. There is often a little line, but nothing like some of the others. There are a few horses and pigs, and some hydroponic gardening to be seen as well. It's a fun little place.

Been driving past this place & always meant to stop to try them out but it never happened until today...let me say I think I'll keep coming back to Phil's from now on! The monkey bread was insanely delicious & gooey! There was no line whatsoever & even if there was a line I think I'd stand in it for the cinnamonney goodness that follows!! Trust me give them a try & you won't regret it! Who wants to waste time standing in long lines in the sweltering sun at nearby vendors anyhow!?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but when I came here last spring with a couple of friends, we saw used Costco strawberry boxes in the corner. I know, I know. It disappointed us, too. It's a cute little gimmicky place if you have kids, so they get a star for that. Otherwise, there is no reason to stop by. There are far better berry farms.

This spot is absolutely fantastic. I happened to drive by on my way to my nephew's birthday party, and my eye caught a glimpse of the cow-shaped signs advertising fresh shakes. I was running late and couldn't check it out right then, but I promised myself I'd stop in on my way back home. Easily one of my most rewarding decisions. Phil himself makes the shakes, and they are delicious. He and his wife run this recently-opened establishment, and they take pride in their offerings. The menu is rather limited; they have the basic vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and mango, but all of them are superb. They also serve coffee, among a few other simple pastries. The store is located directly adjacent to the couple's home. The space itself is fairly large, with several tables both inside and out. Dominoes are available for those who wish to play, as well as backgammon and other board games. And on special nights you will have the privilege of screening independent films written and directed by Phil himself. Yes, seriously. I'm telling you, the charm in this place is palpable. This family-run business is one I'd be proud to support. The proprietors are friendly and welcoming, and their shakes are phenomenal. I'm not usually around the Homestead area, but next time I am I will definitely make it a point to stop by. You should, too.

Great for an afternoon snack on a Sunday. Stopped in to treat our daughter to a little strawberry milkshake which she loved. Nice spot to hang out and play a few board games while the kids play inside or outside - super family friendly. Thanks to Mondo for the great service. We'll definitely be back.

The mango smoothie I had was a bit bland due to the mangos still being not fully ripe. The monkey bread is a unique treat made of cinnamon bun type material that melts in your mouth and is a sweet sugary delight. Phil was a nice guy offering us free samples of many different fruits and vegetables from his farm. The people were really nice there and there are table top games that you can engage in available all around from checkers to chess.

I really want to give this location a better review but I think they need to tweak a little before it rates a 5. I personally think part of the issue is the place was dead when we got there. I think they should invest in some road signs that say "Knaus is crazy but we have milkshakes available instantly!" or something creative along those lines. We came here because the Knaus line was insane. What I loved about this place was the big red barn and the giant cow eating a milkshake, so they have the cute thumbs up! In side the barn are picnic tables with games of chess or checkers for patrons to use, love that too! We all know Knaus offers cinnamon rolls and Phil's has smartly offered their own a monkey bread which was sweet, baked to perfection and affordably priced. They have a good milkshake list, I think there could of been more strawberries in mine and my husband had a chocolate milkshake and he said it was decent. When we went it was us and another couple and the time for service was long, so should they get a bigger crowd I hope they have a back up team to come up and help out to prevent customers from getting frustrated. I have lots of wishes that this place does well, I admire the goal to offer a Redland's Experience in the fresh fruit milkshakes. Also they offer some vegetables and plants for sale. All in all I say if you are driving around and need a cold break and maybe somewhere to sit and catch up with friends while sharing a plate of monkey bread then I say give this place a shot, it has a lot of potential, it just needs more business to help give it some life!

This place is absolutely amazing! We try to go often for the strawberry smoothies and the monkey bread! The barn is very clean and has a friendly environment. There are checker mats laid out on the tables to keep you entertained and a few toys for kids. There is also some memorabilia up on the walls of Phil. The owner, Phil, is very nice and can be see working around the back. Do take time to visit Phil's berry farm, they have other smoothies and other items like banana bread and hot dogs.

Way Too expensive for what you get. Tiny cups that were $3.50 each. $10 for two Dixie cups of vanilla milkshake and monkey bread. I can go to Robert is Here and get a giant shake with fruit for $5. Once they pick up more customers they may be able to offer a better value. Best of luck in their endeavor.

Sub par cupcakes, terrible customer service (a lot of eye rolling and loud complaining). Would not recommend. If you're being dragged here I recommend the tres leches sundae. Otherwise, your time is better spent elsewhere.

Agree with the previous reviewer, great find, yummy shakes (had the strawberry) and Phil is quite a character. Hope to be back and see this local business thriving. Reminder: cash only business atm so be ready.

Good shakes...nice produce next door...need to get new BBQ truck in that serves a decent pork sandwich...$5 for pork flavored bun is ridiculous...try different place if you are hungry...
