Seafood with European flair. Ms. G, Miss E., Mr. B and I visited the evening of July 3, 2015. Food is well above average. Location and parking are convenient; have been meaning to eat here for 20-25 years as we get down here as we drive by on our way to the Keys annually or twice a year. Server was slow to get to us, but did a great job once she did. I have to knock a star off for timeworn ambience. When my grandparents took us out to eat for seafood in the late 70s, it was at places that looked like this. It's just (probably) a family-owned product of its era and, I think, more a family destination than romantic (not recommended if romance is on the menu, or if the restaurant choice is part of your mojo or "toolkit of seduction"). Perhaps some people enjoy a sense of nostalgia--and I kind of enjoyed that--but probably not the majority. Nostalgia factor or not, the interior of the restaurant, and particularly the bathrooms, need to be freshened up: wood refinished, reupholstered and recarpeted, repainted, tile regrouted (and perhaps retiled altogether).

I decided have soup and salad for dinner, the conch chowder was very good, nicely seasoned and served in a big bowl minus crackers. The rolls they brought to the table were fresh off the Sysco truck. The salad, I ordered a ceased that came with no dressing and the lettuce was soft, no crunch and at room temperature. I did not eat the salad and sent it back. I dont think i will stop in again.

Food was great! Steak was delicious, as well as alligator appetizer and crab soup. Also we were happy to find decent food after 10 pm here.

The manager is rude and doesnt like black people in his bar.. he threaten to call the cops after my friends card didnt go through, not wanting to give us a chance to pay. I eventually paid with my card, but his first response was he is calling the cops! Why would you treat your customers that way..in no way we were walking out of the building..also the seafood isnt fresh, and im very big on that. We had conch fritters, and they didnt taste fresh, not did the crap soup..the only thing I liked was the band they had playing. However, the manager doesnt like black people, and thinks that they are so quick to steal...I will never go back to this place..go at your own risk....u may just like it, but I will nevr go back..its not right to treat your customers like they are pieces of shit!!!!

The ambiance was good, my lobster sandwich was good. The overall experience of my group was not the same

The seafood was prepared very well. I really liked the flavorful Florentine sauce on my Mahi. The coleslaw was wet and not what I expected but they prepared steamed veggies in a snap. The patio was simple and the decor was old. I'm glad I went once, but may not need to come back.

I love this place. Been coming here since way back when they had ostriches running around the fenced in zoo area in front.

I have been to the Mutineer a couple times. I can't put my finger on why I am not a fan of the place, I just don't like the vibe there. Both times the food was ok, the service was fine and the prices were fair. I think the main reason I don't like the Mutineer is that is has a skeezy tourist trap feel.

I was down in Homestead at the speedway and ate here twice, once in the restaurant (meh) and once in the bar (yay!). The restaurant was a bit of a disappointment, decor was awesomely campy, but service was very slooow. We even waited for a table for 20 minutes as the kitchen was backed up, even thought the restaurant only had 4 occupied tables. The food was a bit on the pricey side but it was tasty. The she-crab soup in a bowl was excellent and the shrimp lobster pasta was great! The next night we decided to brave the band in the bar and eat there. The full menu was available as well as the burgers from the lunch menu! Our server was very attentive and suggested a couple of burgers for us, the "Bubbly" and the "Mushroom & Onion". Excellent choices, cooked medium rare with tasty fries at around 9$ each. They also have a mystery IPA (nobody could tell us the brewery) on tap which was excellent. So the bar was almost empty when we got there at 6pm and was packed when we left at 10:30. This may have been why the kitchen was so slow the first night we were there! They have a semi-truck parking lot next door, so if you are heading to/from Homestead in your racecar hauler, this place is a slumdunk!

This place holds a special place in my heart and it all began nearly seven years ago when I was visiting Key Largo with my boyfriend who is now my husband. Most recently we were there with his family. We stopped on our way through to Tavernier. Honestly..I can't recall what I ate for the main course because it was drowned out by a bread bowl full of she crab soup and two long island iced teas....correction...two of the best freakin long island teas I have ever had. I do remember that everything I ate was delicious on both my first and second visit and that is not just the booze talking. The atmosphere leaves a little to be desired but the salt scrub in the bathroom makes up for it. I will go back next time I am in the area.

We went here for dinner and it was dark already. We were on the way home and wanted to eat something before. It looked fancy but we were casual and felt good. The food was good but too pricey. The fish was fresh. The service was also good and friendly. They have a parking lot.

What a terrible restaurant. Terrible might be an understatement. Just stay away from this god awful place. So we walk in and it's almost as if we have seat are selves. There was no one around. The menu look boring and generic named seafood nothing really interesting. Terrible services needless to say I wasn't about to ruin my lunch eating there so we left

The food is expensive but was good. The service was not so great. We arrived just after they opened and they were in such a rush they missed getting my husbands drink order. The food came timely as was the waiters follow up and drink refill. We requested a drink to go and had to ask for the bill. Our to go drink was brought to us in a restaurant glass and we gave our credit card and requested a to go cup which was returned to us with a thump on the table as he ran by to serve another table. The to go cup had no lid, straw, or drink. I also had to run down our credit card which was returned by a different young man.

Disappointing. Bathrooms faucets not working properly in ladies room. Very dusty and flies in dining area. Food was overpriced. At the entrance there are turtles and fish - couple of turtles shells are full of algae and one turtle was injured with an open wound on its foreleg bleeding. Do not be fooled by the exterior decor. Plenty other options around.
Ducked into the bar side (Mutiny) with an idiot to try and figure out women and to reminisce of the wild times of our youth and was I glad I did, here's why: * The Gator Appetizer was amazeballs! Although the presentation lacks... But not the flavor. I consider this a "must have" at $6.50 for 4 "slices." * The Lobster Reuben Sammy Rocks HARDER, better presentation ($14)! * I love the nautical themed decor which makes you feel like you stepped into an episode of Miami Vice. Strong! I love bars and restaurants with a theme or otherwise aesthetic that "transports" you to another place and therein changes via distraction, for the better, your mindset, mood, or energy. This is one of those places. At least for Steve. Lots of shellac, a ship's bow main bar, embroidered bar stools, nautical touches about, pirate coins, crabs, and fish, and more. Good stuff. I've never sat in the restaurant side, and most probably won't ever. It just doesn't do it for me because it has that 70's salad bar appeal that old Americans probably enjoy. But you will see me in the bar again, Lobster Reuben in one hand and a delicious cocktail in the other. Cabeza OUT!

This restaurant has been a fixture for my family. We have come here many times over the years and have always had a good time. My sis wanted to have her birthday dinner here, so southbound we came! As The Hubs was driving down, I checked out the Yelp reviews and was somewhat surprised at the negative reviews. Granted, it's been a while since we ate here, so I was hoping that it hadn't gone downhill. As we arrived, I saw that the decor has remained the same. Yes, it is a little dated and it certainly ain't nothing fancy, but it was clean and neat. We were greeted almost immediately by a very pleasant young woman and she seated us at a large table (we had a group of 7 in our party). Our server arrived within a couple of minutes, and we had drinks and menus almost immediately. The dining room was not crowded, but it did fill up to a comfortable amount as the evening progressed. Our server was attentive, pleasant, and prompt. She was knowledgeable about the menu selections and offered some good suggestions. The food was as good as I remember! My shrimp platter was quite excellent, with large shrimp that were cooked to perfection, not overdone, and not drowned in breading. The Caeser salad was fresh, though the dressing was a little tangy. I ordered a glass of reisling and it was a very generous amount (I would have preferred it to be a little more chilled, but I'm used to warm-ish wine in Miami.) The Hubs was happy with his Surf-and-Turf. He gave the lobster a "meh" but said the steak was excellent, very tender and flavorful. The boys demolished their dinners (shrimp and lobster, and the ahi tuna platter) and my sis and bro-in-law split a house salad and enjoyed a shrimp platter and some sort of seafood platter respectively. My step-mom loved her Pepper pot shrimp! I took a poll, and everyone gave the food a thumbs up! Dessert was key lime pie and chocolate cake and both were smooth and rich, a great ending to the meal. Our experience was overall a positive one, with good food and pleasant service.

What a let down, should have looked at yelp reviews FIRST. Came here for dinner and was quickly seated by the hostess, but didn't get acknowledged by a waitress until 15 minutes in. We ordered our drinks and food. It was expensive and bland. We tried the bacon wrapped Jalapeño Pepper Poppers, it was basically a sliced pepper with cream cheese (or so they said, tasted like ricotta) and wrapped with bacon. The taste did not come together and we left half of them. I had Parmesian Pasta with chewy chicken and tasteless sauce and my boyfriend had Mahi Mahi that he said was "eh". The bill came out to 63 dollars. Not worth it even a little. Wouldn't recommend, which is disappointing since there is so much potential for this restaurant. It has that tourist appeal with a themed setting. I'm sure it could be really popular if the menu, service, and food was revamped.

Went in January and it was pretty good. Went again last night, August, and it was terrible. My husband and I were praying we did not end up with food poisoning. Initially blamed lack of customers on the fact that we arrived at 7:45 p.m. Turns out, they all know not to eat here. Food is bland, bland, bland. Steak and lobster tail both tasted old and tainted. Shrimp was fine. Jasmine rice tasted like overcooked white rice with dried cranberries added. Pasta sauce was tasteless and watery. Potato was barely warm and rather dry. Did not complain to management because we decided we'd never be back anyway.

Horible experience! We went for lunch at normal time. Sat for 15 mins to order and was all very slow. Finally ordered drinks and food to a rude waitress. Took another 15 mins after order to learn that. They don't have the food we ordered. We decided to leave and they still charged us $10 for 3 drinks. More of a bar atmosphere. NOT a restaurant. Stay away.

I love the Mutineer, have been coming here for many years and they have always been consistent. They have great burgers and wings. In the weekends you can catch the live band playing and they put on a really good show. They have the wharf launch bar and a quite nice restaurant in the other side. Nice place would recommend this to anybody in the area looking to have a great time and eat some great food.

Food was mediocre, the service was good until we asked for the check, we waited close to 30 minutes, and by the time our waiter gave it to us we found bugs in the pasta!! We spoke to who we were told was a manager, even though she was waiting tables.. We told her about the situation with the food and the only thing she had to say was how I finished my food but didn't care about how my two companions were so disgusted by the bug they didn't wanna take home their left overs. (More than half). Horrible customer service. Clearly not sanitary. Don't ever eat here. Not even a apology for the bug. I should have never even paid and walked out. I'm not the type to right good or bad reviews. But me and my friends were so disgusted with how things were dealt with this was necessary. I could of went to Publix and made my own pasta for half the price the entree cost. With no bugs and it would have tasted better.

Overpriced plates, overcooked food, strange people working here. Had fish sandwich, I think it was grouper? It was hot as $&@? and when it did cool down it wasn't very good. I also had conch fritters which were severely overcooked. I ended up not feeling very well later and puking my guys out followed by 4 days of hershy squirts from HELL. Save your money and go up one exit to the other nice restaurants. If all you want to do is drink, this might be your place. Then again I didn't drink so I don't know how their drinks are. Probably overpriced too.

Excellent in all respects. Fast and courteous service one of the best steaks I have ever had. Waiter (Eric R) was diligent and courteous. Kept us informed of every thing relevant to our dining experience. Try the alligator bites appetizer.

Great atmosphere. The service is good and the bartender was friendly. The food was decent, but I'd have to agree that it is a bit pricey for the quality. The ingredients are excellent but the preparation could use some work. Even still Do not shy away from this place. It is a great place to sit back relax and have a good meal. I would come back!

I think this place may have been good at one time- we went to hear a band which was great - beers cold and most servers were friendly- cons- place appears run down - sits wobbly and overall needs a good deep cleaning - no A/C in bathrooms whats up with that? smelt like last nights throw up- really needs an overhaul prices are on the hig side - so why not make us feel like paying for it? good location - large place and plenty of parking

Went in for lunch. Not enough waitresses... "we only have two" Was seated and got drinks, but half of our orders (2/4) were not available because they didn't have the seafood. It was a very dark, bar-like experience. We decided to leave before getting the food. Only place that sells gator, not worth it for the time wasted.

Stopped in with 12 people for lunch without a reservation in the middle of the Ragnar Key West 2015. Great service, friendly staff, good prices, tasty food. More than we were hoping for. Did I mention that our team was dressed in pirate garb? They lived us here. Looking forward to coming back next year to find our picture on the wall!

We were disappointed with our experience here. From the outside, it looks like a regular seafood joint..nothing fancy. Once you get inside, it appears a little fancier but slightly dated. After you sit down, you realize how fancy they would like it to be. The menu is more expensive than the quality of food that they serve. My boyfriend ordered the special seafood pasta dish. It was decent but a little oily and not worth the $30. I had the fried seafood platter. I'm not really sure how you mess up fried food. The calamari was very chewy and not cooked properly at all and the conch fritters were just not good. My favorite part of the whole plate was the white rice with cranberries in it... We won't be returning. Our server was very friendly though! He did a great job and always had our drinks full and checked on us regularly.

I only went for drinks the waitress was very nice but had no knowledge of the variety of beers on draft. The waitress also had a timing problem walking by many times with our empty glasses on the table. Missed opportunity ! They had all the best beers and a great display. On draft was Fat Tire, Angry Orchard and about 23 others. When I asked about Angry Orchard she didn't know they had it and also did not know what liquors I was inquiring about earlier. I did quite enjoy the live band and will go back to try the food. I will give this restaurant another try.

Absolutely and utterly Awful ... If I could give it minus stars I would. Terrible service - non existent actually. No idea about the food - we sent it back Warm beer - and Zero Beer..... Old and run down.. shabby and smelly. My friend and I took a road trip to go and see Coral Castle. We spent ages looking for a restaurant - not many in the area - the ones we did find were closed. Spotted this little outdoor bar area, it looked like fun from the road - so we did a U turn and went back to it. BIG MISTAKE. When we arrived there were 3 groups of people at the tables. A single, a couple and a group of 4 people. All the other tables were empty. Very quiet. It took ages for our server to actually come and ask us what we would like to drink (even though she had seen us and walked by us countless times) I settled on a corona my friend wanted a blue moon in the bottle ,and we ordered a chicken sandwich to share. - about 20 minutes later, yeah I know - the warning bells should have gone off then..... I eventually got my corona - luke warm - after we had asked 3 or 4 times about our drinks ... no drink for my friend - we call her over again - she says oh - we have no blue moon. So my friend asks what else there is in a bottle - she is told Peroni - so she says yes I will have that . Ijit waitress comes back ages later - slops a draft glass of something on the table which spills and walks away. My friend and I look at each other... what the..... so L get up AGAIN - goes to the bar and gets her own drink - by the way no idea how the waitress mixxed up Peroni in a bottle with a draft yeungling??????????? (Um we still don't have the food!) Waitress comes back - plonks the plate down and walks away ... ICE COLD food ... We paid for the beer and left No tip - sorry - I don't tip for bad service ... no matter what people say .....no service - no tip and a review to match the service/food and instead . I'd rather warn people about awful restaurants and service than them have the experience that I had. Avoid this place at all costs.

New to the area and decided to make this my local watering hole. Good Happy hour and the food is great but on the expensive side. Nice locals to chat up and bands on the weekends which are always cool. The bartenders are some if he nicest around. I was a little dissapointed today to find out that they have changed their hours and don't open till 4. This seems a little odd since it's a restaurant first and bar second. Maybe the mgmt will have a change of mind in the near future. I would hate to see it run off some off the regulars. My 2 cents

So we were starving on our way home from key largo. This was one of the last restaurants before the turnpike headed home. First, let me say the "ambiance" is creepy. It's dark and musty. You feel like you're in a 1980's comedy. Our server was very nice but the service is very slow. We waited for over an hour for a family meal of 4. The kids pasta Alfredo was very simple and bland. No flavor at all. The she crab soup which had wonderful reviews was "just ok". More cream than crab. The bread Bowl is a nice touch. The lobster Reuben was made with thawed lobster. Maybe the sauerkraut was fresh. But nothing else was. This place is a farce. A restaurant that needs a complete overhaul in its prime location. We would never return. And I assure you, when you walk in with that uneasy feeling, you'll understand.

The Mutineer is one of those charmingly old school seafood restaurants with the nets and stuffed fish on the walls, with added size and a bit of a penchant for "theme park" elements, such as the pirate grotto and the staff dressing up as buccaneers to serve drinks out at the bar. The restaurant is clean, if stuck in a time-warp from the 70's, and the fish is fresh -- which is the main thing you can ask for from a seafood restaurant. While the dishes aren't imaginative, they are competently prepared. The crab-meat stuffed grouper was quite tasty. You could do worse on your way to the keys.
(3)
Melinda M.
The outside is decorated cute and they do have a very fancy looking inside. The kids enjoyed looking at the large fish they have swimming in their pond. The food was not all that great. My lobster tail was overcooked and just overall the quality of the food was just average. Kind of reminded me of a fast food quality. We sat outside, which was a very casual environment. Looks like it would be an okay place to have drinks at night. We were there for an early dinner. The waiter brought out baskets of popcorn after we had been waiting for a while and the popcorn tasted old and burnt. That was a turn off before we even received our meals. I will not be going back. I was not impressed with the food at all and the prices were way too high for the quality of food you get.

I like this place, then again I'm a sucker for an old dirty pirate hooker bar. I live nearby and I come here once every two years and it's always the same. It reminds me of a place that was probably really cool in the 80's and now it's a lack luster place that hasn't changed since then. When you arrive you can go right to the dinning area or left to the pirate themed bar. Every time I come usually my waitress is slow and service is not part of the current theme. The food is so-so but my suggestion is that it's a good place to get a drink and appetizers. The last time I went, the waitress was so aloof on what they had or didn't that I walked out. Granted I came for dessert but she really made no effort to sell, know the menu or keep me. She just stood there staring off into space not really sure of what they had. I guess I'll see them in two years for a beer.

Food was overpriced and bland. The ambiance was cheap and old. I felt sorry for the coy fish because the water had a film of grease on top. Go to Capri instead!!

First off, the she crab soup is awesome! I read a fed reviews and decided to order and I have to admit I was impressed. Also had the conch fritters and the alligator appetizers. My family went there for the first time today, but we probably won't be going again though. I ordered the mushroom, onion burger and i loved it. My kids had chicken fingers and a burger with fries. I also had a frozen alcoholic drink called the Cheekee Monkey. It was like a bowl of frozen banana juice with rum, so yummy!!! lol. My husband the Black Crab and Grouper with a twice baked potato and cole slaw he didn't know he was getting. He wasn't into the food at all. He actually said i make better tasting fish dishes at home. lol. He doesn't want to go there ever again because the dish tasted mediocre and it was almost a $30 dish.

Went to place this place on a Saturday night last year. Sat at the bar with the rest of the locals during a Heat game. Place was not bad. Had a few beers with my main squeeze and one shot. Live band was good. Got a free Fosters mug.

We stopped here as it was close to our motel. My husband had the shrimp/scallop/scampi pasta dish and enjoyed it. I had the tilapia tropical and wasn't real impressed as the pineapple/mango salsa smothered the fish and made it soggy. The service was real good!

Place needs to be on "Kitchen Nightmares"! Chef Gordon Ramsey really needs to stop by! No greeter.. had to wander around to find someone to seat us. Service was poor, slow, forgetful but friendly enough. Food was HORRIBLE. Aligator Appetizer - Rubbery and tasteless and drowned in some "sauce" Ceasar Salad was drowned in dressing.. Tasted like bottled stuff. Taco Salad - They forgot that it should taste like taco. Bread bowl was stale. "Bubbly Burger" - OK a bit undercooked. Tomato and condiments looked a day or two old Lobster and Shrimp -- Frozen, rubber and poorly prepared. Really people if you are seafood restaurant you should have fresh, well prepared food. Do yourself a favor and go almost ANYWHERE else.. because this place really sucks.

Mike H.
So close to the Gulf and the Atlantic and yet the "fresh" seafood is available in the frozen food case at Walmart. I was shocked when they brought the rubbery plastic mess to my table. I will NEVER come back. If Yelp would let me subtract Stars I would, as it is 1 is the least I could give.

Eh! The food was subpar, but priced accordingly. The service was glacier slow. Skip this place, enjoy Long John Silver across the street, and get back to enjoying the nature around you.

The food and staff are excellent. LOVE their she-crab soup! However the place needs some major work. The restrooms are in poor shape, the decor is outdated and the ponds by the entrance are gross. I love this place and it's one of the best in the area but it needs some major cosmetic work.
service good, food lousy. Not fresh seafood...seemed old. spent 85.00 on meals appetizers, wine, and would have been happier with Red Lobster and spent less money and have a fresh seafood meal.

Went there on a Friday night with friends. Decore seemed to have been updated but still has a look and a bit of an "old"smell to it. Its not dirty just old. The restauradnt area was ok and I thnk needs a much needed update. Food was ok. The bar area was more fun and the band was ok. I will go back but probably not for the food, just for the drinks in the bar area.

considering its the only decent place in miles, i should give it a better review - there's a lot of great things about this place. the giant koi in the pond outside are so huge - that is made me hungry. I ordered the Parmesan Tilapia and it was very good. The crab stuffed grouper and ahi tuna also looked good. the garlic bread was yummy! definitely a great place to stop off before heading to the keys, or heading back home ! thanks

I went to the Mutineer on Saturday night to catch a friend's band in action while visiting South Florida. The first thing I thought, when we drove up to the place, was that the band would be wearing pirate hats and looking like the band in the FreeCreditReport commercial. The whole place was like a poor-man's Treasure Island. Thankfully they did not make the band play the part. hahaha! They did rock the house. But I digress... so I can't review the food at the Mutineer because I didn't eat there, but did have a decaf coffee and shared a slice of chocolate pecan cake/vanilla ice cream with my brother - and THAT was great... However.... the place itself was just uncomfortable, and possibly unsafe(?). Anywhere you sat was freezing. There were AC vents pointing at you from any and every direction. There was mold and condensation collecting on some of the overhead vents and drippings of that crap fell on some of the people sitting across from me and in one lady's beer. Would I go there again? Only if I happen to be in S. Fla. and the band happens to be playing there again. And if I do go again, I'll be sure to try some real food so I can update this with a proper food review.

I went for dinner and got the pasta with shrimp and scallops. This place charges prices like you are eating at the Ritz Carlton and gives you food the quality of a Waffle House. The scallop was very unfresh and the dish was lukewarm. I ended up paying about $30 for a mediocre dish. I went because I saw the pirate looking restaurant and thought it would be fun. What a disappointment. I would rather eat a big bag of hair than eat there again.

Rather then staying in Key Largo paying $300 a nite, I stay in the Travel Lodge in Florida City. The drive to Key Largo's dock was 35 min, very reasonable. Mutineer is almost walking distance from the motel and it looks quite decent, so I went try this nite. It was 7 pm and the restaurant was full and I had to wait in the bar for 15~20 mins. The menu was extensive. I was assigned to a waitress she said she was new to the restaurant. I am patient but obviously she should be better trained so she can represent the restaurant and explain the menu. She had to run off everytime I ask a question ! The menu has aligator appertizer ! So instead of stone crab claw, I went for the aligator. I still couldn't quite figure out how it differs from chicken ! But it's delicious. I also order the grouper, I just love the freshness of Florida's fish. The grouper was prepare sautee and in a wine source. But as you see in the picture, it didn't really seems to have any source on it. I don't know if that's the way it is or it was forgotten. I was afraid to ask another question. Anyway, it doesn't matter, the fish is so fresh, I can eat it raw ! Grouper are great, good firm texture but not tough and it's just fresh ! If you are staying in Florida City, this is decent restaurant to try.

A WARNING TO MUSICIANS AND BANDS: This is my second submission regarding the Wharf Lounge at the Mutineer. I removed the first post on the promise of the owner of this establishment to make restitution for what was done to my band on Feb. 27, 2010. On that date, we arrived at the Lounge to fulfill a performing engagement, (the date of which had been agreed upon during a previous performance there, in the presence of the manager and witnessed by two members of the band who both wrote down the date given by the manager) only to be told that we were "not on the schedule" for that evening. Two of the bandmembers had driven over 50 miles to this engagement. I asked the manager if he made a habit of writing down the dates and the bands he books there. His reply, "No...it's all in my head". His repeated response was, "You're not on the schedule" (the one in his head?). Offering a few dollars in gas money to the band would have been the least the manager could have done, but he stood defiantly with his arms across his chest, refusing to even apologize. Arriving home, I put up my first post about this incident. Less than two days later, the bandleader gets a call from the owner. He explains that it was the manager's fault and that if I took down the post, he would pay us for the gig. That was nearly two weeks ago. No money...which of course is what I expected. So once again, THE MUTINEER LOUNGE HAS NO RESPECT OR REGARD FOR THE TALENT IT HIRES. GET A WRITTEN CONTRACT AHEAD OF TIME BEFORE YOU AGREE TO PERFORM HERE.

The overall experience of my group was not the same
(2)Cynthia C.
The seafood was prepared very well. I really liked the flavorful Florentine sauce on my Mahi. The coleslaw was wet and not what I expected but they prepared steamed veggies in a snap. The patio was simple and the decor was old. I'm glad I went once, but may not need to come back.
(4)Tom L.
I love this place. Been coming here since way back when they had ostriches running around the fenced in zoo area in front.
(5)Matthew O.

(4)Katja J.

(3)Chris P.
Bad food and bad service. Complained about their Roast Beef sandwich and was told the Chef disagreed with me!!!
(1)Mel C.
(1)Daniel H.
Ignore the other reviews, when you enter there is a sign which states seat yourself - sure people were waiting, but i guess this is what happens when folks pay no attention to signs, there was service which occurred immediately. I ordered the Crab Soup and sautéed alligator , boy the alligator was AMAZING , I wish they had a larger order, the crab soup was delicious nice and creamy and the bread was fresh. Overall damage for my order $17 w/ water way better than Joes Crab Shack plus food is fresher, do come here for lunch

(2)Jenn M.
Lunch stop on the way home from the keys. Lobster Ruben , seafood quesadilla , and mahi mahi wraps. Everyone was happy. Homemade key lime pie . Ask for Kelly .
(3)Tom O.
Stay away.
(1)Mike M.
(5)Caylee J.
(1)Tundra D.
(1)Gene K.
Excellent in all respects. Fast and courteous service one of the best steaks I have ever had. Waiter (Eric R) was diligent and courteous. Kept us informed of every thing relevant to our dining experience. Try the alligator bites appetizer.
(5)Justin H.
(4)Lynn M.
(2)Daniel P.
The service in this place sucks. No silverware or napkins until we asked for the 4th time. Food was ok. Not worth eating at.
(1)Joyce B.
Went there for dinner, food was terrible. Fat, soft fries, fat ribs, warm bread was even old.
(1)Jake O.
(2)Jack D.
(4)J G.
(2)Sue M.
(3)Vachagan Y.
Great place. We come here every Saturday. 1. There is nothing like this around. 2. Good food 3. Very friendly service 4. Moderate prices 5. Live music What else do you want?
(5)Ray B.
(1)Captain B.
My 2 cents
(3)Shauna M.
(1)Ian T.
(3)Melinda M.
(2)Michael L.
(2)Natasha P.
Food was overpriced and bland. The ambiance was cheap and old. I felt sorry for the coy fish because the water had a film of grease on top. Go to Capri instead!!
(1)Robert B.
First off, the she crab soup is awesome! I read a fed reviews and decided to order and I have to admit I was impressed. Also had the conch fritters and the alligator appetizers. Both were great choices as well. It was my first alligator experience and it was a good one. I would recommend this place to any of my friends. A
(5)Krystina F.
(3)Jaron S.
Went to place this place on a Saturday night last year. Sat at the bar with the rest of the locals during a Heat game. Place was not bad. Had a few beers with my main squeeze and one shot. Live band was good. Got a free Fosters mug.
(3)Paula P.
We stopped here as it was close to our motel. My husband had the shrimp/scallop/scampi pasta dish and enjoyed it. I had the tilapia tropical and wasn't real impressed as the pineapple/mango salsa smothered the fish and made it soggy. The service was real good!
(4)W. Jeffrey B.
(1)Mike H.
(1)Cindy B.
One hundred percent mediocre. If we had paid fifty dollars for our 2 entrees , 2 soups and ONE beer we would have thought "meh" .... But after it cost a hundred dollars we were bummed!!!
(2)Natalia Y.
Very good place to have a good time. We love California wine and Seared Tuna. Service is very friendly.
(5)Melody G.
Grubhub says this restaurant delivers in our area! I called and it does not. So disapointing
(2)Morgan D.
Eh! The food was subpar, but priced accordingly. The service was glacier slow. Skip this place, enjoy Long John Silver across the street, and get back to enjoying the nature around you.
(2)Jan L.
Great place for lunch great she crab soup on bread bowl and the sautéed gator was wonderful! Enjoyed sitting inside rather than outside where there was a lot of traffic noise.
(4)Logan M.
This place is so terrible from when I looked at it to when I went inside and sat down ....it looks run down. The Caesar salad was Normal nothing special
(1)Maria E.
Food is GREAT... Service is GREAT!! The only complaint I have is the A/C at 50 degrees can't wait to pay and leave ...super uncomfortable ...brrrrrr
(5)Yamil F.
The food and staff are excellent. LOVE their she-crab soup! However the place needs some major work. The restrooms are in poor shape, the decor is outdated and the ponds by the entrance are gross. I love this place and it's one of the best in the area but it needs some major cosmetic work.
(3)Ryan L.
Anything sautéed on the menu is good. I had the alligator for an appetizer and the lobster-shrimp sauté for the main course.
(4)Pam j.
service good, food lousy. Not fresh seafood...seemed old. spent 85.00 on meals appetizers, wine, and would have been happier with Red Lobster and spent less money and have a fresh seafood meal.
(2)Lu R.
Enjoy the sunset views and starter. The Alaska crab legs are normal, but really big! Haha.... the position is very good and near to our hotel! The server is nice. Overall, a good place!
(3)Terry S.
(2)Daan K.
considering its the only decent place in miles, i should give it a better review - there's a lot of great things about this place. the giant koi in the pond outside are so huge - that is made me hungry. I ordered the Parmesan Tilapia and it was very good. The crab stuffed grouper and ahi tuna also looked good. the garlic bread was yummy! definitely a great place to stop off before heading to the keys, or heading back home ! thanks
(4)Christi W.
What and awesome place to stop and eat. It is like having a Keys meal without the drive. Service was great. After eating step onto the patio and listen to live music and have a drink or two. A must stop.
(5)Ivonne W.

We went on Friday evening. Not many customers. Sufficient staff and SLOW service.
