Our food was good and though the margaritas are strangely made without tequila, they weren't bad either. My aunt didn't love her chile relleno, but I liked the mushroom fajitas. Our waitress was nice, but clearly not the best listener because I ordered "a flan and the check, please" and somehow that was misconstrued and had to pay for the flan separately. I came here as a child and they've been open since 1987, boasting authentic Mexican food, but it didn't seem much above the cut of a chain restaurant serving Mexican fare. I would definitely try again, but it felt pretty average in general. The "flan" was a cheesecake with caramel sauce and the sangria was clearly bottled and not freshly made.

Came back. Tried a chimichanga and the melted cheese dip this time. The chimi was good and what I expected. The melted cheese dip was enough to make a weight watchers meeting cry. The portion was huge but it was white cheese, not yellow like you'd expect. Still amazing though. Upping them a star for excellent service. They still need to fix the salsa situation though.

Homestead isn't a place to where you would generally travel to find food, other than for tropical fruits. However, it is one of the places in South Florida with a good sized Mexican community and so the Mexican food here is good compared to the rest of the area. Casita Tejas isn't purely Mexican cuisine, it's Tex-Mex. I personally prefer that, but not everyone does so heads up. The interior is not elaborate, but it's brightly colored, clean and has local flavor. It's a longtime establishment down here, and is family-run. I think this shows in the service and generally helpful attitude. I had the Enchiladas Rojas; I asked to have the American Cheese which was on it by default changed to Jack, and they were more than happy to oblige. My wife had the Guadalajara Platter, which was a sampler of many of the entrees they had on offer. It consisted of: "Mexican Crispy Cheese" (basically fried queso balls aka cheese), Chile Relleno, one Tamal, one appetizer sized Chicken Enchilada, Beef Tostada and a Beef Taco. She's a bit more into Mexican food than I, and we hadn't had too much in the way of Mexican (or even Tex-Mex) since moving to Florida. Thus, she was definitely interested in trying a bunch of favorites we hadn't had in a while. The meal also came with the usual chips and salsa. The verdict: pretty good. Again, not to the level you'd get in the Southwest but for this region more than acceptable. If you are around the area it's definitely a good option. If you're hankering for Tex-Mex, it might even be worth a bit of a trip.

The shrimp tacos have big fresh shrimp and were delicious. The pinto bean soup was spicy and tasty. Service was slow even though it wasn't busy. I'll come back next time I'm down this way !!

Great service the food is really good. The pico de gallo is chunky and spicy they dont have a mild which that is why i gave it four stars. I cant eat spicy but love pico.

I absolutely love this place! The food is delicious and at a very good price. My husband and I both like dining in and sometimes we call in the order and pick it up. Never disappointed. My hubby always orders a sample plate and my favorite is the portabella veggie fajitas. Their salsa tastes homemade, which is extremely important to me. I find myself craving their food often.

I stopped here on the way back from the Keys. Great service and there is street parking. Prices are very reasonable. The salsa is very runny with few onions and tomato chunks. It is not spicy. The chips are standard tortilla chips. Not thick and authentic like some restaurants. The burrito was served with shredded beef and topped with a red sauce. The sauce didn't have much flavor. The beans had no cheese on them and also didn't have much flavor. I would try other restaurants in the area before returning here.

I've been here a few times. The first time the service was horrible. The waitress seemed like a high school teenager, giggling and not paying attention to us. She urged us to leave and kept asking us if we had finished. We ended up leaving after appetizers due to her rudeness. The second time we went, it was completely different. The service was great and we got to try the entrees. We had the Nachos for appetizers, I reccomend the chicken ones. My husband had flautas and I had a burrito. All plates come with rice and pinto beans. It was good food for lunch, but a bit on the bland side. The times I've been back it's for the nachos.

Really good place for authentic Mexican food! The chimichangas are the best to me. They are prepared perfect and taste amazing. It melts in your mouth all the flavor are just amazing! And, it's not expensive at all. Great place to take family or a first date! It's a must see when you come to Homestead, FL.

Great place. A little diamond. Great prices, great food. Margaritas are amazing..... pork tacos are to die for!!! I ordered the tacos platter, I chose steak tacos, came with rice and beans. Great choice, very authentic. Will be coming back for more authentic Mexican food when I'm in the neighborhood. WOW!

I've been here several times and have yet to walk away disappointed. The food is authentic and prices are reasonable. On my most recent trip, I brought several people that had never dined here and everyone was extremely pleased. The soups are very flavorful and incredibly hearty. I have had their soups as a meal and felt satisfied. Of course, the endless baskets of corn chips & salsa are pretty filling also. The staff is friendly, eager to please and attentive. Refills on soft drinks just keep coming. How refreshing is that? The family atmosphere that the staff brings to the table is becoming more difficult to experience by the day. Kudos to management for that. Two thumbs up!!! If you're contemplating dining here, don't think twice. You'll walk away quite happy!

The wife and I were tired of eating the same stuff... Applebee's, chili's, blah blah blah... so we decided to try some Mexican food. We searched through Yelp reviews and found this gem. We arrived at 8:30pm (had we realized they closed at 9, we wouldn't have gone). Alas, they served us 2 baskets of fresh tortilla chips and 2 bowls of salsa... I ordered the taco salad and the Mrs had the Texas Chipotle burrito. Her burrito was SMOTHERED in the sauce... she loves sauces and she was extremely happy to see this burrito floating in the Chipotle sauce. My taco salad.. was DELICIOUS! The food was piled high (mostly ground beef) and the tortilla bowl was so so crispy and mm mm mm mm mm! We have def found our new Mexican restaurant spot. I wish we found this place sooner!!!

There aren't many Mexican restaurants in our neck of the woods, so it was a real treat to check out this place, which was recommended by one of our friends from home. We have visited a great number of Mexican restaurants around the country, and this is one of the best value restaurants we have ever been to. The chips and salsa were very good, especially after we ordered a side of hot sauce to spice up the salsa. We had tacos and spinach enchiladas for dinner, both of which were served with rice and beans. Lots of great flavor combinations - we ate every bit! The meals did not come with guacamole or sour cream, but the sides of them that we ordered were generous. The margarita wasn't the best that we ever had, but it was a good complement to the meal. The service was prompt and attentive. We look forward to our next visit!

Love this spot! Come here with the hubby ALL THE TIME. Great for a beer and some delicious Mexican grub. Totally casual ambiance, I have came hungover from the keys here so nothing pretentious. I always order the shrimp fajitas with a modelo. My hubs orders the enchilada with the Mole, MUY BUENO! Always a treat, don't read anything less than five stars because they don't know food :)

I love this place, it's my new favorite Homestead Mexican restaurant. I used to be a diehard fan of Taqueria Morelia, but they went downhill for me, but that's another story! Now, Casita Tejas is our place. It's small, but I feel like it's always packed. The staff is always running around though, and they keep it clean. As far as food, it's great. I love the Tacos al Pastor, they're served with a real chunky pico de gallo (so watch out for big pieces of jalapeño) and yummy rice and beans. My hubby likes the Chipotle Burrito and the Chicken Mole. The Tortilla Soup is one of the best too! And I like that they have some nice chicken fingers and french fries for my two year old. The price is nice too, 30 something for the three of us.

This place its pretty out of the way...but its well worth the drive. I had never heard of this place until recently when a friend told me about it and we went for lunch. It's a hole in the wall kind of place...and when it comes to Mexican food..those are the best kind of places to go. Don't get me wrong...just because its a hole in the wall kind of place..that doesn't mean that its dirty or substandard conditions. This place was pretty immaculate...everything was clean and well kept. You have to try the bean dip...its freaking epic!! It an enormous bowl of refried beans with some ground beef and cheese...mix it all together and you have a vat of deliciousness! I've also had the enchilada lunch special which was very authentic and absolutely delicious. I will definitely go back there when I'm in the mood for some really authentic Mexican.

Stopped in for lunch....great fresh made salsa! Both had lunch specials that came with rice and beans. One had soft tacos they other a soft taco and enchilada - the food was good but I have had better. Service was fair. Storing stuff along wall by a outside door that is not to be used. They need to put up some kind of screen to hide the crap.

I really wanted to like this place, mainly because I'm Mexican from Texas and so are these people, but this food is mediocre at best. The first time I ate there, I ordered a beef taco a la carte for about $3. The shredded beef was a-MAZING! Then I tried the flauta and it was not good...like I wanted a refund not good. I also wanted horchata, the rice/vanilla drink. When I asked if they made is from scratch, the manager said it was a powder mix. LAME! I ate there again, mainly because the shredded beef was so good the first time. I ordered a gordita. It's supposed to be a fried corn patty. You slice it open and stuff with meat and veggies. That's why it's called a gordita or (fatty.) When my gorditas were delivered, it was an almost-burned corn patty with meat and veggies on top. It was a bad version of a sope, another Mexican dish. The person I was with ordered tamales. They were smothered in an enchilada-style sauce. I've never seen that before in my life. It could be a forgivable offense of it was good, but it wasn't. Too bad, the people are nice, but the food is not worth your money.

Ummm not impressed at all! It is really hard for me to find good mexican food here in Florida. All the good Mexican food is where I'm from in Texas. I don't know where to start. The service is good there I give them that. I got a caldo de res and it was sour. I hadn't put lemon yet! It looked old and it did not taste good. The rice was no good either seems like rice they made 2 days ago. It's hard to mess up rice but they succeed today! So I told my waitress and I got the enchiladas suizas and they weren't great but they were ok. I won't be back here again

Casita Tejas is a small restaurant on Homestead's main street. The first time I went it was great, but this most recent visit was a bit lackluster, the main reason being that the food seemed to be more bland and the margaritas were really bad. It's still a fine place to visit though, just don't try a margarita unless you like agave lime juice that tastes powdery... I ordered the tamales and really enjoyed the tender shredded pork and thick corn pastry surrounding it. The guacamole was the stand out of the meal, absolutely delicious with a strong taste of lime. The chips were crispy and held up well to the dip. The salsa was quite spicy, a little too much so for most of us at the table. The nachos were also good, though they were pretty standard I think as far as nachos are concerned. The staff is attentive and friendly, and our waitress was no exception. It took a bit to get someone's attention to have us seated, but in the grand scheme of things that's not an issue. Overall it's a fine place to go in Homestead if you're craving Mexican food. There are other places that may be more authentic, but this will probably satisfy your cravings.

Big change since my original review. I have since realized the greatness of this place it's just about my favorite Mexcian restaurant of all time. So much so that I am willing to make the drive from sweet home Hialeah to lovely Homestead to have great quality, well priced Mexican. This last trip, the waiter (older gentleman) was on point. Always refilling our cups and asking if everything was to our liking. The salsa was spicy, or at least to me. I was craving something fruity so I saw the tacos de pastor has "the right amount of pineapple chunks" & went for that, completely disregarding the SPICY labeling. By right amount, the mean just one chunk. One chunk per taco. That is not the right amount. Either way, they were delicious. My friend ordered the enchiladas which he loved. The finish it off we had the fried ice cream....which was devoured within 5 minutes of it landing in the table. Definitely still crave it on a weekly basis.

Love this place! Food and service are consistently on point, I come here often on my own and the server not only recognizes me but remembers my order! The burrito norteno is by far the best thing on the menu, but I also really enjoy the appetizer gorditas as a lunch option. I live in the area and frequent Mexican restaurants have have yet to find a better option than this in Homestead. The food is consistent and delicious and the attentive and caring service just puts it over the top. If you're in the area you should definitely give it a shot!

My favorite place to go eat in Homestead. The food is exceptional. I always get the spinach enchiladas, which are to die for. Prices are good, although I wish they had some sort of happy hour because paying full price for every beer kinda makes you stop after two. Unlimited chips and salsa!!! YAYYY!! Also try their chimichangas. Those are great. They have very good servers who are all well trained in customer service. I have been here about 10 times and have never had any problems.

The shrimp fajitas here are really tasty, sadly, that is the only thing that really struck me as notably good. We came on a Friday night and the restaurant was packed with an eclectic mix of English-speaking tourists with just a sprinkle of Spanish-speaking locals, none appeared to actually be Mexican but rather Central American (which should have been a warning when in Homestead). There was a mariachi guitar player strumming about the restaurant, which was nice until he came up directly to each table, clearly looking for tips. We ordered nachos as an appetizer, enchiladas and my shrimp fajitas. The nachos came out simply covered in what appeared to be processed cheese a la velveeta, but not quite as tasty as velveeta. Hubby joked it was the cheap Walmart "velveeta". They were inedible. Despite taking away the plate almost full, the waiter did not comment. Hubby's enchiladas were okay, nothing spectacular, but he says they appeared to have a slightly higher quality cheese than the nachos. My shrimp fajitas were certainly the star of the night - flavorful, tender and grilled with just the right amount of seasoning. The side car of guacamole, lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream looked a bit wilted and scary, so I ate the fajitas without any of that. The tortillas were good, not freshly made, but possibly bought from a local vendor? If we were ever to come back, I would definitely order the shrimp fajitas. As others have mentioned, there are much better Mexican restaurants in the area, but this one seems to be open later than most.

With all the great traditional Mexican food to be had in Homestead, there is no room for sub par food. Unfortunately, that's exactly the experience I had here recently. The place was packed for lunch and thought that would be an indication that the food would be great. Boy was I wrong... The tortilla chips were stale like they had been made yesterday. The fajitas I ordered had a chemical char taste that was off putting and the Horchata rice drink I ordered was so watered down, it was almost unrecognizable! The only saving grace was the tasty quesadilla my girlfriend ordered, but even that was not worth the price we payed. There are much better options in the area including El Toro right across the street. I won't be back.

I've been going to Casita Tejas for five or six years. There are probably better places in the area, but Casita Tejas has never disappointed me. I typically get the Guadalajara platter because it has pretty much includes everything on the menu. One of the my favorite things about Casita Tejas is that they carry Pacifico beer, not many places around here do. Service is always solid and the restaurant is always cleans and accommodating.

My newest addiction is to take trips to Homestead buy local produce and eat!!! I love mom and pops restaurants, and casita Tejas just felt one my list. First let me say that this place was beyond CLEAN. It was so pleasant to walk in and see everything shining and spotless. The restaurant was not busy when we walking in. The staff was very friendly. The food was yummy! First arriving to the table The house made tomato salsa was very good maybe just a bit low on salt or no salt at all but it was good, not too spicy just perfect. Hand made tortillas yummm good. Their homemade salsa verde was incredible good! Smoky, spicy very flavorful, I asked for some to go. I was not very hungry so I so only had tacos al pastor and they very good, very authentic. I felt like I was in mexico on every bite. Really enjoy this place.

This place is very good!!. Me and my boyfriend have went their twice, and it is very good! The chips and salsa is very good. And the customer service is very good too!. It's fast, and the lemonade is very good!!. The super nachos are very good!!!. Every time we go it's amazing and fast. The French fries are very good too. It's fresh and fast service. Me and my boyfriend go here every time because It is not that expensive and very good. We usually spend about 20-30 every time we go which isn't bad. And the nachos will last you a long time if you don't eat them all. It fills you up right away. The staff is very friendly also. It can get busy, but even with busy service it is very good. Casita Tejas is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. Is it the absolute best or most authentic Mexican food you've ever had? Maybe not, but it's great homemade food in a low-key, chill atmosphere. I first tried this restaurant at the recommendation of a hotel we stayed at in Florida City, and enjoy coming here so much that we often make a day of it, coming down for a stop at Robert is Here for some fresh fruit (yet another Yelp review) and some Mexican food from Casita Tejas. Yum! First, the location is incredibly clean and inviting. Simple décor that reminds you this is Mexican restaurant without being over the top. The service has always been friendly and efficient, and the waitstaff is helpful and eager to please. Maybe I've always been at off hours, but the restaurant has never been crowded when we've visited. The clientele seems to be mainly locals with a few tourists mixed in. The menu is extensive and offers a great variety from appetizers to entrees. If you're looking for Mexican dish and it isn't on here, it probably doesn't exist. The lunch specials are a good deal if you're there on a weekday during lunch hours. They give free chips and salsa while you wait for your food, which is a nice touch that seems to be falling by the wayside at Mexican restaurants these days, so that alone gets points from me. My favorite dish here is the Mexican platter: one soft taco, one enchilada, and taquito with your choice of meat, with rice, beans, and small side salad. It's a good sampler and very tasty. The portion is more than generous, so for about $9, it's a great deal. The enchiladas are also excellent, and my Mom ranks them as some of her favorites she's ever had. Dessert is always an apple chimi, which is to die for. It's a delicious mixture of soft, warm apple turnover and cool whipped cream and caramel sauce. This is a must if you're a dessert lover. On my last visit, they were out of apples for the apple chimi, so I tried the sopapilla (fried dough pockets with cinnamon, sugar, and honey) instead. It was okay but lacked the pizzazz of the chimi. If you enjoy fresh, simple Mexican food, check out Casita Tejas. Its friendly charm, homemade dishes, and comfortable atmosphere will win you over!

I really like this place! I've been newly introduced to Homestead (I live in Miami) because my boyfriend works down there. I've been to Casita Tejas twice and I really like the food. The first time, the service was a little slow but the server was SLAMMED so I don't blame her. Food, delicious! And inexpensive (especially for lunch)! Second time, I went with a friend and she loved the food equally as much! We went during down time (between lunch & dinner) and the server went above and beyond for us!! Two thumbs up! I'll be back :) Get the queso fundido with chorizo!!! Also, ask for "extra spicy" salsa (if you're into heat). They don't automatically serve it, but it's tastier than the regular tomato salsa :-D

Absolutely amazing authentic Mexican food. I have to fight the urge (often unsuccessfully) to stop in whenever I'm in Homestead. For that matter, it's well worth the 90 minute drive from FTL just to eat here.

Let me first start by making clear that I always go to LA BAMBA restaurant in Pembroke Pines Fl. I should have NEVER CHANGED. The place is very small, not that I care. The tortilla chips are DEFINITELY from BJ's or GFS. Sauce was super NASTY. My husband and I ordered a pitcher of FAKE SANGRIA. It taste super nasty, FAKE 100% FAKE. My husband had a Steak burrito "OMG" it was cold, no meat and a lots of beans. I order Fajita with rice. The meat was like rubber band and rice was hard. The food is SUPER NASTY. EVERYTHING IN THIS RESTAURANT IS FAKE. I was surprised to see this type of "MEXICAN FOOD" in Homestead. I thought that it was going to better than LA BAMBA but forget it! I WILL NEVER GO THERE AND SPEND $60.00 ON TRASHY FOOD. DON'T GO! SAVE YOUR MONEY and go to LA BAMBA.

I've been going to Casita Tejas since I was in elementary school. That was a while ago, but their food has remained consistently amazing throughout the years. Their spicy green salsa is one of the few salsas I will let in my mouth. It's authentic, fresh, and compliments just about any entree you can order as well. The entrees are great, I usually get the enchiladas, and recently they let you choose from 3 sauces, which is nice because a few years ago they only offered the main red sauce (which itself is great, but variety is always nice). There's gems in every section of the menu, from appetizers to desserts. If you're looking for fresh Mexican food with good portions and decent prices, Casita Tejas is for you. Much better than El Torro Taco. Although, it can get a little hectic depending on the night and hour you go, but for the most part the service is top notch.

This is an affordable Mexican restaurant in the heart of Downtown Homestead, with very friendly staff and above average tasting food. I have been there many times through the years and the service and food has always been consistently good. On our last visit we ordered fajita beef tacos which were quite flavorful. The guacamole was also very tasty and the 'al pastor' tacos were amazing (awesome sauce and great homemade tortillas). The rhetorical side dish of Mexican rice and re-fried beans were a pleasantly delicious surprise! They tasted fresh and had tons of flavor. The restaurant itself is quite simple and plain, always clean and pleasant but nothing spectacular. Overall a welcoming place to get a good meal in a casual setting without breaking the bank (we usually spend $30-$40 for the both of us including a beer or two)

In a one week visit to Homestead we ate here twice. We think it is the best Mexican food we have ever eaten, anywhere. Service and atmosphere both excellent. We dine at Mexican restaurants all over the country and always try to find local non chain. This one is located in old Homestead downtown with free parking surrounding. Great people watching and you can catch the trolley to Everglades or Key Biscayne. Try the suiza sauce, it was a fantastic tomatillo sauce that I had on their steak burrito and then next time on chicken enchiladas.

My wife and I have made it out this far south for more than 10 years! The Burrito Norteno is amazing! I think we order it almost every time. The Chips and salsa are fresh and ohhhh soooo good! You gotta try it! For casual dining any time with or without kids.

Wasn't crazy about this place. My boo and I decided to try this place out since we always went to El Toro Taco. My boo got the Chili Rellino and I got the Enchiladas with shredded chicken. They were both okay; just that my Enchiladas had American cheese which caught me off guard. The chicken was okay and the rice tasted not very cooked through. But we had better Mexican fast food. This will be our last time coming here!

I love this place. On weekends, not a bad place to ride my motorcycle to. Some plates are better than others, I recommend the Tacos al Pastor, some of the others not so much. Service is very fast and the place is very reasonable. I gotta say, lately, I've been riding my motorcycle to another nearby restaurant which I find is just as good or better. Either way, you can't go wrong, worth the drive and try some nursery browsing as well for yard projects...! Enjoy and live healthy, be good.

well...it certainly isn't 'authentic' Mexican food...although, i'm not sure if i really know what 'authentic' Mexican food tastes like, but anyway... i had the ceviche which was surprisingly good & unexpectedly on the spicy side. my husband had the chicken crunchy tacos which i thought were good and flavorful. the chips they give you to start taste like they just came out of a bag (i'm sure they did). service: so-so. we were a bit forgotten at times.

Just OK. Acceptable Mexican food but not the best. However, if you're looking to get full, this is where you should come. The plates are huge. We tried this jalapeno appetizer and I think my tongue almost fell out of my mouth because it was so ridiculously spicy. It was a painful experience. That pretty much ruined the rest of my lunch because I couldn't taste anything after that. LOL. You've been warned. Do what you will.

Well so far of the Mexican places in Homestead that I have ate at this is my favorite. The staff is super friendly and I enjoy the food here the most. Prices are on par with others and they were very accommodating when I walked with a party of 20 and no notice. Have eaten here several times and still go back.

Casita Tejas serves the best chicken chimichangas! Every weekend my in-laws and I eat at Casita Tejas, this place is truly amazing. My mother-in-law, who was born and raised in Mexico, loves their tacos and mole. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very open and welcoming, the servers are very nice. The salsa and nachos you get before your meal is great (sometimes the salsa is a bit too hot...but still edible.) the rice is amazing, full of flavor...as well as the bean. If you do visit Casita Tejas, try the chicken chimichanga! It is one of the best entrees I have ever eaten! :)

After an exhausting day in the Everglades we were delighted to happen upon this charming place. Had been to the Glades 5 yrs ago & the town looked abandoned. What a change in what appears to be a growing downtown. This restaurant has excellent margaritas with extra lime juice-tart & tasty. The salsa was slightly spicy with lots of cilantro & tasted fresh-served with house made chips. Our group had fajitas, flautas, & burritos. All were proclaimed delicious. Highly recommend this establishment.

We have eaten here three times and one thing, it is consistent. As mentioned in most of the other reviews, food is average to slightly above average. Service was actually pretty good though. Decor is, well, places to sit and tables to eat on. Clean and well maintained. Prices are pretty good also, at $27 for the two of us.

I have a love-hate relationship with this place. The Queso Fundido and the chicken burrito are great (when they get it right). I agree with the other reviews, not completely "authentic" but the food is good. Sometimes its packed, and sometimes there's no wait. Sometimes the food is amazing and sometimes I have to send it back. It's hit or miss. Still, it's much better than its neighbor Toro Taco.

The food was very good; not truly authentic but it's still has it's charm plus the portions were enough for two...so come hungry....LOL The ambiance was very friendly and the price was reasonable. So give it a try it's an either "you like or you don't" type of places...but you never know until you get there, sit down, order a meal and dig in.....BTW the beers aren't that cold but they went down great with the Nachos!!! LOL Enjoy it....I did and always go with a couple of good friends...it always makes the feed back and experience that much better!!! Good luck and I hope you enjoy it....

Where do I start? The location is small and its not very busy. I eat there with my hubby when I meet up with him for lunch, but its really not worth the drive from Kendall. The menu is ok, very simple, not much to brag about. I always get the soft tacos with beef and a coke. I mean for the price its not a bad place to go for lunch. The service is slow and I had to wait like what seemed an eternity for a refill. They do not offer much of a food selection for the little ones and they do not have many high chairs. We had my daughter in her stroller until a high chair became available :0/ Wish I could write more but there's really not much to say about this place. Its very BLAH.

Everything that could go wrong with Mexican went wrong here. No homemade tortillas. Chopped up meat for fajitas?!?! They were chunks, not strips, and they were a bit stewey (as in stew). Nachos were thick, yellow. Beans were refried, a la mode Americana. Rice was bland. Prices not that great for this type of food. But people say that I should have gone to El Toro Taco 2 stores down the block.

Expect a typical Americanized Mexican meal for a reasonable price and you will be satsfied. Expect much more and you will be disappointed. Being Mexican myself the only place that has real mexican food is south of the border... This is where to go when El Toro Taco is closed. Monday. decided we wanted Mexican food. This is actually TEX -Mex and what we were accustomed to when we lived in Texas. Service was goood for the price and the food was good.. You get what you pay for. Not bad !!

Service off again, but this time they were not busy so no excuse. Rest of family enjoyed their meal minus the fact you typically get peppers and not just onions with fajitas. My meal could have been better than taking a solid chunk of chicken and throwing into a shell and calling it a chimi. Again could have been improved with peppers, onion, and any flavor inside rather than bland. Very disappointed today and we don't go there very often. Guess it is time to try new places. Would ordered a different dish, but by the time the waiter showed back up to the table my family was done eating :(.
