Been coming here for a while an have never had a bad experience... Until today. I HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE! I messed up my order and they were super nice and helpful. Great food, great people, good atmosphere, it's a no brainier.

I would definitely be a regular here if I lived closer but will definitely keep visiting on my trips home from the other coast. Where to begin...first, the staff is really, really friendly and accommodating. I came in towards when they closed and felt really badly about keeping them open. They assured me that they would be there closing anyway and not to rush. Next, the prices are really reasonable and the food is really delicious and fresh. Best espresso I have had in a considerably long time and I drink it every day from a sundry of places. Also, although not insignificant, THEY HAVE ALMOND MILK. Starbucks does not have almond milk but Kate's Kafe does. I enjoyed an exception latte. The only negative thing about it was that it did not come in extra, extra large. I had a panini with a fruit salad side. The sandwich was tasty with fresh ingredients and the fruit salad was incredibly fresh with a variety of seasonal fruit. I had just left an upscale hotel offering $10 sides of fruit salad that was going bad and smaller than at Kate's. I love this place. Lastly, the restaurant itself was extremely clean and well put together. They have a book swap section and indoor and outdoor seating. I will definitely be back!

Nice little family cafe that serves quality food. Be sure to check out the decor which has lots of interesting local art pieces (most/all for sale if you see something that catches your eye).

Love this place!!! Friendly staff and owners! Bread pudding today with caramel sauce. Today we had biscuits, gravy and fried potatoes! Yummy!!! Best ever gravy that tasted like my mother always made. Everything was made from scratch.

Delicious breakfast at Kate's Kafe! Wonderful service. Located in very nondescript shopping center so happy yelp led us to this sweet little find. We had eggs, waffles and oatmeal, which were a hit with all. Love that they have almond milk as well. Will be stopping here on our next drive through Ft. Myers.

Be prepared to wait! Both times I went I had to wait 40 min for a sandwich! There were only two other tables...

Amazing breakfast!!! Best biscuits and gravy I've had since I left GA, grits were delicious, as well as the French toast. Great service, cozy little place. I would 100% recommend this place and I will be back soon. I want to try everything on the menu. I love finding family owned places that are amazing like this, much better than any chain restaurant!

Best home cooked breakfast I've had in 20 years, rivaling grandmas. The customer service is 5 stars, especially the owner Kate. I recently came in late right before close which would bother some businesses but I was treated with great customer service and not rushed at all. The food feels like it was made with real love. although I may be mistaking "love" for a lot of sugar and butter. Best biscuits and gravy I've had before. Still haven't tried the quiche yet which has been highly recommended. I only wish they were open later and there were more locations to go to when I'm traveling out of town. I can't believe someone would rate this place 1 stars. Pull your head out of your ***. Been here a handful of times and it's always been the same experience.

While there are not a lot of vegan options there are some winners on this menu for sure. My mom enjoyed her non_vegan breakfast a lot. Great friendly service. Amazing baked breads.... Hoping they will add a few more plant-based menu items!

Everything was awesome.. Super fresh panini and soup... All local products, and great service...

Was visiting the area staying at a hotel, asked them for a referral for breakfast and they suggested Kates, I looked it up on yelp and reviews were good so we decided to try it, very casual very hipster type of place, although they do not have table service they were very friendly and told us we could sit where we wanted, it's very small with only 4 &2 tops for tables . Coffee is self service and they have multiple flavors, they have many types of bakery items such as croissants and breads there , I ordered the French toast with eggs , it was excellent ,it was on a thick cinnamon bread, The bacon is a Applewood flavored bacon very delicious, we also tried the waffles with bananas and walnuts and that was also excellent, everything that we tried, there were four of us and everything was excellent , will highly recommend going back there if you're in this area.

Great Apple cinnamon coffee cake, breakfast quinoa, & kafe mochas! All of their baked goods are made daily and are very fresh and delicious! Cute spot to stop in and have an inexpensive breakfast with good food!

Kate's Kafe did NOT disappoint!! As others mentioned , it's clean, well appointed, inside & outside courtyard dining, great & plentiful food, priced just right. Open for breakfast & lunch only and closed on Mondays. It's located in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking and keep your eyes open for it, as its tucked away at an angle & could be overlooked. You don't want to miss this place!

The breakfast here is totally adequate and regular. If they aren't busy they will take your order at a table. Otherwise, you order at the kitchen. There's nothing special about the food here, but it was fine and reasonably priced for the area. Gravy needed more seasoning. French toast was on sourdough - nice touch. Good coffee selection and props for offering stevia sweetener! Food for 3 came in a good amount of time.

This place is adorable and amazing! When our plane landed we found Kate's kafe a few minutes from the airport. I got eggs, bacon, toast, and potatoes AND a caramel latte that was to die for! I said at the beginning of our vacation we were going back again and we did. I highly recommend it.

What a great place to meet a friend for a delicious breakfast with fresh ingredients and good coffee. Nice atmosphere and friendly service.

Great turkey BLT! first timers and absolutely loved it great atmosphere and minimal prices! Definitely coming back and highly recommend!

Delicious breakfast spot! I'm new to town, so I wanted to find a little spot close to home. I found Kate's Kafe on Yelp and I gave it a shot! I had the quiche of the day (red peppers, asparagus, & feta) and it was delicious! My boyfriend ordered the biscuits & gravy and he loved them! We will definitely be back here! Great prices and great food!

Quaint little cafe with a very homely feeling.... Okay home cooking but the bake goods are delicious. The only problem I have usually is the seating on the weekends, which is a good thing for the owners but not so good for customers.
(4)Hannah J.
Adorable homemade cafe. The smoothies are just the best around. I'm in college and we come here for breakfast pretty often. You can get a huge plate of potatoes, biscuits and eggs for $5 something. It's such a pleasant place to have around when you're missing home cooked meals. But not kidding about the smoothies. Try them for sure.

Great salads...read newspaper review and walnut mandarin salad is super...chopped chicken salad delish...friendly staff as well..will neon our restaurant circuit! !!
(4)Angela M.
Absolutely adorable and the people were very nice and quite friendly! Food was great! I'll definitely be back!
(5)Lola Q.
I have to agree with other reviewers who said that the food is very good, but maybe not worth the wait. Nice spot, but so quiet inside I felt like I was eating my breakfast in a library. An awkward place to enjoy a conversation ...probably a great place to come by yourself and get some reading or work done. Coffee cake, French toast, waffles, bacon, and eggs were all very good!
(4)Mark B.
This place has the best breakfast in SW Florida!! Hands down! I had the sausage and peppers quiche with a Belgium waffle! It was perfect!!
(5)T. J. S.
Food was ok. Be prepared to wait a LONG time. Staff seemed to not have a clue what was going on.
(1)Nick L.
This place was great. Ordering was a little different than what I'm used to because it's all done at the counter but it was a smooth process. I had the big kafe breakfast. Best French toast I've had in a very long time. Good food and reasonably priced. No complaints.
(5)Charlene G.
This place is awesome! Locally owned. (My husband & I love to support local business.) You will not be disappointed here! I got the sausage/gravy biscuit, 2 eggs over easy & hash browns. Husband got a sausage & cheese omelet, hash browns & biscuit. They offer many coffee varieties & the staff was friendly & attentive.
(5)Bridget M.
Great place! We love the breakfast. And the service is always good!! We also love to support family owned businesses! Great place... great food.... great prices!!!
(5)Diana D.
My husband would eat there everyday if he could. It is that good. On Sunday's it is usually crowded. We chose not to wait one day and when to Sunny's. UGH! Not at all like the delicious eggs (perfect) and apple cider bacon with fresh local bakery toast. We don't mind waiting at Kate's at all.
(5)Mark A.
Great food. Enjoyed breakfast at the place.
(5)T Z.
I still like Kate's, but they don't offer omelets anymore and they don't have pancakes. If you are a breakfast place you have to do omelets and pancakes. Not sure when they stopped. Check out the menu before going to see if they have what you like.
(3)Jeff R.
If you are in the area, this is a great place for breakfast or lunch. Try the French toast! They stay busy but service is friendly and prompt.
(4)Jennie V.
Nice staff. Good prices. Great food. The scrambled eggs were really fluffy, the bacon was crispy and everything was cooked perfectly. The french toast was by far the best french toast I've ever eaten at any restaurant. Quaint little place, Kate's Kafe is truly a hidden gem. Do yourself a favor and visit if you're ever in town.

I just loved this cafe! We went twice when we were in Ft. Myers on vacation. It was worth the hunt!
(5)Xiaowen W.
Love love this place. We visited FM for a week and had breakfast there 4 times! Everything is good. the cinnamon breakfast bread is soooo delicious! Fresh squeezed Florida orange juice, coffee was surprisingly good. And - the coffee cake, I'm drooling just thinking of it. I had the Cranberry Walnut Coffee cake, OMG, it is heavenly! It seems like to be a family-run place, people are general friendly.
(5)Lisa M.
Went early afternoon and the cafe was about two thirds full. The staff was totally overwhelmed, so much so that we wound up bussing our own table and wiping it down! We would have left but the hook is that you order and pay befor you sit down so we decided to wait it out and stay. We waited, and waited, and waited and after about 35 minutes our food came out. The food was pretty good but not worth the wait. The coffee was really good. Everything is made fresh and you can watch them make it in the open kitchen which is good news/bad news. The good news is that you can watch but the bad news is that you can watch, and they were so overwhelmed that their sanitary technique seemeds a bit dodgy at times. Worth a try I guess, but if they seem busy, walk out.

Awesome find. Flew into RSW on 1st flight out of O'Hare; on 12/08/13 - so glad to be back. While at airport, searched for breakfast place to eat before heading home (Sarasota). Decided to try Kate's Kafe. 15 minutes from airport. Reviews were dead on: great food, great prices, attractive decor in strip mall storefront, attentive service with a combination of self-service that works. I had the Weekend Special" (biscuits, sausage gravy & eggs); my wife had Belgian Waffle Breakfast (Belgian waffle, eggs, & apple cider bacon). Both were delicious. We paid $18.51. Excellent coffee, too. Other diners were locals & clearly repeat customers. Mostly shorts & sandals attire, but no problems were created by my wearing a business shirt & necktie.

Specal waffle eggs & meat. Bacon for me. Perfect service & food. Lots of coffee selections too!

Our family of 5 visited the Kafe during our spring training visit to SW Florida. We are always looking to explore non chain restaurants and came across Kate's. The cafe is located in a mall which made it easy to find. A bonus was that they had an outdoor seating area next to the cafe. The cafe was very clean and ordering was a snap. It was counter service which loses a bit of personality but the staff was friendly. It was clear the cashier was new and the owner was very understanding when she made a mistake. You can always tell how you will be treated by how management treats it's employees. The service was fast and mistake free! We ordered the signature French toast which was very good. The breakfast selection was limited but they produced an outstanding dish. The waffles were good and the bacon was average but overall not bad. The inside seating is limited but we were there on a Saturday morning at 9am with no problem getting a seat. I would visit again when I'm hungry for cinnamon French Toast.

This is a nice new addition to the Estero area as far as breakfast spots. It is relatively unknown, but is still fairly busy. They have a lot of great coffee, which was the biggest perk. The food was good as well. I recommend checking this place out if you are looking for some place new to eat breakfast in the Estero area.
(4)Jack D.
Great sandwiches, excellent cafe style coffee (espresso), accommodating owners and warm atmosphere. My latte was perfect.
(4)Alex R.
delicious and cute cafe! get the bread on display to go it's delicious.
(4)Katie J.
Really great food and atmosphere. I just wish the cappuccinos weren't so big; I prefer ones that are more authentically Italian. Everything else I recommend!
(4)Katy K.
Smells of delicious baked goods and cinnamon swirl French roast the moment you open the door. Nice self serve coffee station. They have photos, canvases, jewelry and other local products for sale as well.
(4)Mandy W.
This is s delicious cafe for breakfast!!! I love the French toast. My food is always tasty from here.
(5)Jeffrey S.
The type of place you brag to your out of friends or new friends in town about. Great food and service served with a side of personality. Would recommend to anyone. I happily wait if a table isn't available, that's how much I enjoy it.
(5)Robbie C.
Cute little family owned coffee cafe that serves breakfast and lunch. Was not crowded when we arrived so didn't have any wait issues like some other posters. I ordered egg Sammy on a bagel and dining companion got the breakfast classic with potatoes, eggs and toast. Prices are great for simple food options. Several coffee options and I chose the Jamaican me crazy. The place looked clean and free wifi. Would come back to try lunch.
