A little apprehensive given the reviews but thought we would give it a try anyway. It was a very delightful experience. The food and service were great.

ya know . . . this was not bad. I'm a huge BBQ snob so I have honestly never even considered going into Sonny's but I was on the road and needed a fix so... there I was. They were having a all you can eat rib special and that sounded good. The ribs came in an initial order of 4 then 3 at a time after that and I've certainly had worse (including at those little mom and pop places that we yelpers love). They were a little uneven one of the orders of 3 was a little dry but overall not bad. The sweet tea was good southern sweet tea and, and oddly enough the salad bar (of all things) was really good. I'll have to try a few more (oh shucks) too see it they're all this good but I've got to say, not bad at all.

This place was the WORST. Waited for an hour to get seated and our waitress had an attitude. It took about 45 mins. to get our food. She puts done our food and walks away. We had to ask for our silverware and that took some time to get to us. How do you eat without a knife, fork and spoon? The food was not hot and lacked taste. Before you pay, CHECK YOUR BILL. They add on a 1% fee for you to Pay For Their Employess Health Care under the New Obama Health Care Plan (which someone told me) and they still want you to leave a tip. Sorry Pal, I left No Tip. All ready paid for her Health Care and my visit was not good. Never going there again!

If you text a code you can get a free pulled pork sandwich- and it was yummy. The brisket was a bit dry though... The waitress Beka did a great job and took great care of us. The fried okra was YUMMY.

This was the worst Sonny's I have ever been to in my life. The service was fine. She was friendly and doing her job. It looks like they have servers doing a lot of extra jobs so they don't have to hire busboys. The food was inedible... but it's not worth sending back when it's that bad because you know they aren't going to magically produce something better. I did not see anything on my receipt about ACA but if it was there, it would have been the only money worth spending besides the tip. It's horrible that it took ACA to get this franchise owner to provide health care benefits for people who handle our food! Shameful. With the overpriced fuel at this exit, I certainly have no reason to stop in Bushnell again. I just hope this Sonny's owner gets their head out of their rear and brings it back up to standard. I know it's not fine cuisine, but edible is a good start.

I have not been impressed with Sonny's in my area (Tampa) lately but stopped in and grabbed pull pork dinner with garlic bread, green beans, crinkle fries and sweet tea while traveling through. By far the freshest and best Sonnys' I have had in years. Not much in Bushnell so swing by here instead of the other fast food choices around the exit.

After being disappointed earlier this week at a local Bar-B-Q we decided to try again and stop at a familiar name from the past, Sonny's. Wow, we were more disappointed this time. It was by far the worst Bar-B-Q I've ever had. We ordered the pulled pork plate with slaw, beans and Texas toast. The pork was overcooked, chewy and tasteless. The beans were blah. Even adding sauce didn't help. The only good thing was the slaw. Oh, and the toast(hard to ruin toast). I've eaten my last meal at any Sonny's. I also think they have a very strange special: called the Senior Special. Doesn't even start until 1:00. Pretty dumb to have to wait that late to get a special! If you're hungry and you're in the area, try Coyote Rojo for Mexican. You'll get a much better meal.
