This place is amazing! We were greeted as soon as we came in, explained the whole menu and extra prices and were warned when something was gonna cost more or wasn't available. The girl there (blue and purple hair, so nice!) apologized for any delay for being the only one there and even told us what would go good as toppings. Our milkshakes got to us super fast and the food was DELICIOUS. This is our new place to go!

Had an Italian sub that was OK. Came out toasted and I did not ask for that - not a fan of toasted Italian subs. Better than Subway any day. Nice clean new place in Belmar. Give it a try!

I found myself in Belmar and found myself hungry. The reviews on Yelp were great so I thought I would check it out. The sandwich was good -I had the tuna and I liked that it wasn't overly mayo-naisey. The giardiniera is very good and packs some heat! The reason why this place only get 3 stars and not the 4 as I had intended was due to the environment in the shop. They were not busy (only one other customer in the shop) and the place was a mess. None of the tables were wiped down, crumbs and trash on the floor and supplies boxes emptied and in site. Half the way to get someone into your shop is how it looks. Owners, take note and make sure your employees are cleaning up whenever possible!

I've been to Stack twice now after Rick put into place new guidelines for handling gluten-free sandwiches. My food was kept separate from the regular bread, and the staff changed their gloves. They are now doing all they can to make it a good eating experience for those of us who can't eat gluten. It's becoming an after-church staple for me! Try the Turkey Bacon Special they've got going on right now - it's amazing!

I got an email stating that this store is now open in Belmar. I stopped by this afternoon to pick up a sub. I ordered the namesake Stack sub. The ladies who helped me were friendly. It was nice that they don't have the giant toaster in the middle like they have at their other location (this one is much smaller and lower). My sandwich was good, as was my oreo shake. I tried the sweet tea (from the machine), but I didn't like it as much. They have a display cooler with drinks, as well as a soda fountain area. I think they should switch the cooler and the soda fountain. As it is, you get your stuff, then you have to go back to where the line starts to get soda/tea. It might be better to have the cooler there, so there's less foot traffic going back and forth. I realize it might not be possible with the way the store is set up, but just a suggestion. I'm glad they opened a second location.

I've eaten at Stack Subs many times and figured it was time I wrote a review. If you are a fan of toasted sandwiches, you can't pass this place up. They use a conveyor toaster oven which is by far the best way to make a perfectly toasted sub. The toasting is similar to Quiznos, but that's where the similarities end. In the first bite you can tell it's a unique sandwich. The meat tastes fresh, the toppings match the quality of the meat, and the bread is wonderful. They have a unique pretzel roll which is delicious but my favorite bread is their wheat. The turkey bacon special is my favorite sandwich they offer. The pesto and spicy cream cheese creates a flavor that I haven't experienced from any other sandwich shop and I've been to more than a few. The signature Stack sandwich and Italian are also great. The staff are consistently friendly. If you need a quick bite around belmar I would recommend checking this place out!

Visiting from out of town (LA), I was surprised to see a sandwich spot using a pretzel bun. Unlike most pretzel buns that are hard as a rock and taste like a cracker, this was soft and served warm. The quality of the meat was very good. Overall, the sandwich was better than which which, submarina, schlotschskys, Quiznos, togo's and for damn sure better than subway. The most surprising was the use of Italian dressing on it, as well as legit Italian hot pepper, Chicago style like you'd find on a Portillo's Italian hot beef sammich. So good.

Three stars for my first visit - turkey sub was good but not great. Also, they had just opened recently and the sandwich "line" was painfully slow. Second visit - a solid four stars for a delicious and well crafted Italian sub. We added spicy peppers, tomatoes, black olives and vinegar/oil. The toasted bread has an excellent texture and flavor. Good ratio of meats to cheese to veggies. Atmosphere - three stars. They need to make sure the tables are cleaned more regularly. Also, we were glad to have been there when it wasn't busy as the sandwich line is still a bit slow. The location (a few steps away from the movie theater is ideal and makes Stack Subs a great post-movie lunch spot (for those of us who like to go the early show).

High quality tasty ingredients. This is my new sub place. It is right next to the movie theater so it makes it a great place for a little date night. The customer service has been great. Every time I have been I. There it has been near and clean and I have never been unhappy with my sandwich.

I am so excited for a new restaurant in Belmar! The other locations are sit-down, formal places, but I needed a quick stop one to fit in lunch on my break. The sandwiches are amazing, and toasted, so they are a great mix of flavors and textures. The owner is really nice too. Sign up for their newsletter and get a free fountain drink!

It was a slow Monday night for Stack. The sandwiches were great! My husband was thrilled to see they serve giardiniera peppers. Way better than Quiznos. He had the pastrami and I had the turkey. Satisfying and tasty meal :)

I love the food here!! there are so many great options! the staff is nice and friendly. I always can support locally owned businesses, especially when the owners are nice as well. My only suggestion would be a larger shop.

It says a lot about a place when the owner comes over to ask you how your meal was. The bacon pesto turkey sub on the white bread is absolutely amazing. Keep the pesto option for all sandwiches! Now this is a place that makes me want to support small businesses!
(5)
Matt S.
The bread is good, but they need to put more meat on the sandwich. There was barely any at all. It reminded me of blimpie. So if you go get extra meat or extra extra meat.

You have to try this place if you haven't already. You will never want a cold sandwich/sub again. Everything is fresh, everything is good. Add avocado to any sandwich to make it so much better. I could eat here every day, and its so much better than "chain" sandwich places.
(5)
Lee O.

I've been coming to this place for awhile now! They never fail to give great customer service as well as an amazing sub! The employees are always very helpful and sweet, but treat you like a close friend. I always get the turkey bacon special on the pretzel roll- you can never go wrong with the pretzel roll! I love all the options and being able to customize anything I want. I will continue to come here and I recommend the same for everyone!

We were at world of beer in the same area. They dont serve food but provide menus for restaurants around the area willing to deliver for free! We chose subs for cheap and easy. 22 bucks got us two 6 inch subs (plus add ons), chips, and a cup of soup and included the 20 percent tip! Our food was FAST and delicious! Stopped eating long enough just to yelp you, thats how great you are!
(5)
Janet O.
I had the Stack. Basically all the meat they had is folded and fitted in my sandwich. I chose lettuce and tomatoes and mayonnaise. It was tasty. Although it was very wet. It wasn't the tomatoes either. It was the lettuce that was chopped into a disappointing pile reminiscent of McDonalds. I doubt this sandwich will be good 15 minutes into if you don't start devouring asap! The place is clean. The staff fast and helpful. When in a rush this would be a perfect place to eat and run!

What is the big deal about this place? I admit I was sucked in by the picture of the pretzel roll sandwich, looked like a Cuban press or Mexican Torta, but unfortunately it's neither. Besides the Pretzel bun, nothing exceeds a Subway sub. I got the Meatball sandwich because it was that night's special, getting it on a pretzel bun was a wrong idea. it's not the best vehicle for a "wet" sandwich, and it looks significantly smaller. My boyfriend's Stack Sub was OK, nothing to write home about. We also shared a bag of chips, the New Orleans style is one of only 2 left on the shelf so I thought it must be really good. Well, that's if you like exceptionally greasy potato chips! It's unbelievable, the napkin we unloaded these chips on were soaked with oil in a short while. I'd say for the same style of chips, Boulder Canyon makes a much better one. The staff sent off a "we're so much better than Subway" type of feel, but you know what? It didn't happen for me. I can't categorize Stack Subs in the specialty group in my book. Sorry. I'd wanted it to be better...

SO GOOD! We recently moved to Denver and so far this is our favorite sandwich shop. The meat is quality meat and they give you a generous amount on your sandwich. I get the turkey on a pretzel roll and it's so good! They also have BBQ Baked Lays and sweet tea, two things that just make it even better. The staff is always happy and friendly. No complaints!

I've been to Stack Subs several times recently because not only is my lady is insistent on going, but the subs are very tasty too! It's clear the owner cares about his customers because he responded here on Yelp of taking better care with gluten free requests. Today we saw evidence of that action with employees pausing to make sure their gloves were new and not contaminated for making a GF sub. This got Stack 5 stars from me! My only disappointment was being surprised chicken isn't on the menu. I still greatly enjoyed the special turkey-bacon sub, and recently my tuna melt on a pretzel roll was scrumptious. Having the cherry soda available is a fun treat, too!

08DEC2014 Wi-Fi for customers. Yea! Very good large Italian sub. Toasted and make exactly as I requested. I love giardiniera. Staff is still friendly. You should check it out. 08AUG2014 The location is good. Right next to the movie theater. The bread is excellent. The cold cuts (at least the turkey) are OK. Nothing special. Lots of toppings available. The malted chocolate milk shake was delicious. The prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly. The staff is very inefficient in their movements. The queue tends to back up. An experienced adult needs to take charge. Wi-Fi - "but not for you". I hate that.

Really great lunch spot in Belmar. Came here for a quick lunch after church at Red Rocks Lakewood. I had the daily special, which was turkey, bacon, spicy mayo, and pesto on a pretzel bun, with jalapeños added. Service was very friendly; the three young adults there were having fun and seemed to really enjoy serving folks. Bathroom was very clean as was the dining area. I definitely recommend Stack as an excellent choice for sandwiches in the Lakewood-Belmar area.

I should start by saying I am a San Francisco native but consider Colorado home for over 16 years now. Having said that, I admit I am perhaps not the most impartial critic. My allegiance falls to a sandwich on a fresh sourdough roll with copious amounts of meat like I would find at Molinari and Sons or the likes. I am also not the biggest fan of toasted subs. However, as far as toasted subs go, Stack is by far one of the better. I ordered the standard fare...a roast beef and a pastrami. I was a bit disappointed to see what I initially thought was just bags of standard white rolls...BUT, what may look ordinary is transformed by toasting into nice, crusty, chewy goodness! Nice selection of toppings to satisfy most everyone's fancy. I would prefer more meat for the price but that's the West Coast in me. Service was great. It seems inevitable that folks get the munchies at the most inopportune moment, and the two got slammed by about 10-12 people all at once just after 8pm. Surprisingly, both my wife and I took half our sandwiches as lunch the next day, and they held up quite well. Overall, solid first impressions!
(4)
James V.
Great subs every time I come I wish the location was a bit easier to get too. Its just always crowded in this general location and I am not a crowd person. The food is great though and the subs are pieces of art. They are pretty big sandwiches as they are full of plenty of meats and cheeses. The quality of the meats and cheeses are pretty top notch. I would recommend this place to anyone that is a sub guy/girl.
(5)
Herma M.
Sometimes they don't have all of their drinks they promise! No subs without IBC cherry limeade??? Unheard of. Seriously though, this place always delivers good service and great subs. They don't offer footlongs, but the size of their largest is still good enough for a decent adult to consume and feel satisfied. There's also a lovely selection of toppings. It's in Belmar so be ready to walk a bit or look forever for a parking spot close by, but it's so worth it.

I just moved here from Chicago and loved my visits to the first location when I was in town. Now that I live here now, the location is in a great area. I ordered my turkey with the pretzel bun and it was good as the first time in the other location years ago. My favorite sub shop and the staff was very friendly with a nice atmosphere. I truly enjoy going here. Their subs are great and the staff is always friendly. I really like the variety they offer on, not only toppings, but the type of bread as well. My favorite is the Italian sub on the pretzel roll, but I also like to branch out and try their other subs. I will continue to come here as long as they're open!
(5)
Eric D.
Okay, the subs here really good but today it's not about the food. It's about going above and beyond. I was doing a little work when I over heard this other customer tell the manager he was having a tough day. I'm not sure why and it doesn't matter but what does matter is that the guy looked like he was really having a tough day. The manager bought the guys sub and said that he hoped his day got better and asked the guy to play it forward when he could. Good customer service is so hard to find these days but to go above and beyond to notice, then do something about it, is more than customer service; it's being an awesome human being. #mademyday

Very polite staff and excellent customer service. The sub I tried was turkey and added pesto. It was delicious and I'll be sure to go back when I'm in the area.

I really enjoy this place. I always get the Italian sub on a pretzel roll. They offer giardiniera, which is sliced hot peppers and vegetables packed in oil. I prefer the Chicago style giardiniera, which is finely chopped, but the stuff they serve is great too. It takes a few extra minutes to run each sub through the toaster oven, but overall I think it's worth it. If you want your sub cold, just tell them. They have a wide variety of toppings. I've been here a few times, and the folks working there are always nice and efficient. The place is clean and consistently good. Stack Subs is locally owned and I like supporting local businesses.

Chewy bread with a great crunch on the edges. They put your meat on the bread (they have pretzel bread but the wheat is wonderful), then toast it and add the toppings. It's really a delicious sandwich. Definitely must go!!
(5)
Mike T.
Umm Awesome! They make a really good Italian sub. I got it on their wheat baguette with lettuce, onion, Italian seasoning and hot pepper mix (giardiniera). You can taste the quality in their meats and the bread is to die for. Located in Belmar just a couple doors down from the movie theatre - great location and clean. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves a great sandwich.

My favorite is the Italian sub on the pretzel roll, but I also like to branch out and try their other subs. I will continue to come here as long as they're open!
