Okay, so the food was 'OK' but nothing out-of-this-world or particularly special about the place. It has nice decor, well-dressed wait staff and a host. I don't understand why 4 slices of bacon is $5 bucks. I had the eggs florentine. It was 'ok' but nothing spectacular. The menu is a little pricey but it is a nice ambiance. They have cheap breakfast during heir "happy hour" and cheap lunch during their lunch "happy hour" as well. I may have to give this place a few more tried before I make up my mind. Its a good place for family meals and for dates. Overall, satisfied.

This place is really good! My husband and I are on vacation, lucky for us this place was literally next door to our hotel, so very convenient for us! But to top it off it was so good and SUPER reasonable!! I ordered the French toast combo, and my husband ordered the Denver omelet. Both really scrumptious, fresh, and seasoned to perfection!!! The food tasted as though it was a home cooked meal. Hands down great place for breakfast! Decor and environment was super nice and clean! And shoutout to our AMAzIng server today, she was awesome, making our experience that much better!

I always get a great breakfast there but the best reason is the staff. Ally, she is one of my all time favorites. Give it a try

Went in for brunch, can I just say my whole experience was AMAZING, our food was perfect, the waffle was delicious, crunchy but also soft, the bacon was to die for and the hash browns were killer. Our servers name was Mina, she told us it was her first day as a server and can I just say she was PERFECT!!! I've seen her as a host and a food runner, but boy she definitely fits right in as a server! She knew everything on the menu and knew all the answers if we had a question, she was very polite and checked on us just the right amount of times , she made sure we were always good on coffee and had everything we needed! I would definitely go back and request her! She's a 50 out of 10! Great food and excellent service!

extensive menu, friendly staff, clean atmosphere. We came in for lunch & happened to notice the happy hour sign; what an amazing deal. Many appetizers for $4, cocktails for $5 and beers & wines for $3. I believe it is from 3-6 daily as long as you sit in the bar. We tried the nachos & Santa Fe egg rolls(pictured) which were both good(great for 4$). I tried the palms colada which was very tasty and pretty. The bartender informed us that they serve low alcohol content liquors and we appreciated her knowledge & honesty. Both of the bartenders that served us were pleasant. We would like to come back and try entrees off the menu.

Big surprise, we really enjoyed this place! I was skeptical because of its location but the food was pretty good, the interior was updated, and the service was excellent! This is a good place for classic, quality diner food.

Alyssa was our server last night and she was awesome. There were some issues with the restrooms being down and the internet being down so it was a lousy Wednesday night to be working. But she was fantastic anyway. She was super helpful and easy to work with. We got our food and were very happy with it. All of it was delicious. Especially the avocado egg rolls. Try these when you go here! Don't forget to check in here on yelp! We got 20% off our bill!

What is breakfast? A plate with an Irish corn beef and eggs....oh my. It was awesome. The iced coffee was perfect, and the waitress actually stopped by 10 minutes later with an extra glass of ice and a shot of expresso. Awesome food and service.

This is a good breakfast spot, lots of parking, which is a plus. The place is clean and comfortable. The service is usually good. We also eaten lunch here they have nice sandwiches and burgers. I've had the shrimp Louie and it's pretty good.

I almost don't want to write this review because I don't want everyone to know about this place! But, I have to share because they have the most awesome happy hour in all of petaluma! All drafts are $3, wine $4 and killer appetizers $4! The ambiance is really nice, the staff are the coolest and the food rocks! Ridiculously tasty calamari, onion rings, nachos, etc! It's a must for anytime but especially for happy hour. Happy hour is 3-7, see you there!

After walking around Trendy downtown Petaluma Restaurants I felt I could not Find a " Reasonably" priced simple meal Like soup and salad.... Didn't want a Marys Pizza Shack family casual Pizza type place although I really Like their value...... Than I remembered the Palm Grill. Very fair Value and good food!! I was not disappointed.... Got a soup and salad with fried Calamari all for under $20!!! EXACTLY what I wanted! Service great and food came out quickly. I like its non a trendy but has old school charm. Not a fancy but a good and fair value. Lots of menu choices served all day long. A great solid 4 star plus value! If it had an Updated interior and lighting it would get all 5 stars. Don't let that it's next to a Cheesy Best Western hotel fool you.... It's great!

Revisit on 8/21/14 Again, a four star meal. I had the "special", AKA the corned beef and cabbage which was delicious. Monica (waitstaff) was perfect as she brought everything on time and was cheery enough to brighten up the room. I noticed a lot of the clientele come from the Best Western motel, which is connected. People seem to be quite happy to have a better than most restaurant on the premises. The ambiance (from the outside) is a little deceiving but the inside is warm and inviting. Parking seems to be quite easy.

I have had the pleasure of visiting the Palms Grill for breakfast, lunch, dinner and happy hour. It is a well-run and visually attractive restaurant space. Current management sincerely care about your experience. There are two wall sculpures like glowing fireplaces that are worth a look, and the seating is comfortable. I took my mom there for breakfast and we enjoyed the hollandaise sauce, and the bacon is perfectly cooked, not burnt. My particular favorite are the deep-fried avocado egg rolls. I think they are symbolic of the care that the owners have put into the menu. Excellent Americana comfort food. Although it is in a rather commercial intersection at E. Washington and McDowell, the staff literally make an effort to get to know your name and preferences. The clientele is a mix of hotel guests and loyal locals. Parking is easy. Some of the staff have past associations with prior incarnations of this space as well as nearby restaurants, so they have their regulars, which is a nice continuity. They have a beer and wine license, but you can get a very pleasant bloody mary with brunch. Breakfast and lunch specials have specific hourse, but breakfast is served all day, which is a plus for travelers. I am working my way through the menu and everything is cooked and served to a high standard. This is a nice place to meet friends or have a business lunch. CJ

Solid 3stars, but I believe this will improve The service was great, the setting is inviting. I do recommend this venue for family groups. The dish that I ordered was good and filling, but a bit bland. This may be a case of the cook needing to periodically taste their dishes. I will definately try Palms Grill again, as the service was top shelf.

We went during restaurant week. They have a nice looking place and the staff was very friendly. The food was only meh.... It did not taste like farm fresh, local food. If it was, the chef murdered it. It wasn't terrible, but it was not worth returning for and dealing with the horrible in/out off McDowell. Pass on the stuffed mushrooms.

Everything is available! If you are looking for a nice quiet spot to stop for dinner and don't know what you want, go to Palms. They have a very diverse humongous menu with everything from tex-mex rolls to milkshakes! They've got a nice little bar with a great happy hour and friendly service. I've never been disappointed by the food or service at this place!

There are three things that make or break a dining experience. First is the ambiance. If you walk in and you feel like you're welcome and home that's a big plus. Second is the service. You should be treated like a guest. Third and most essential, the food should meet the expectations of the price point. Palms Grill knocks it completely out of the park in all three areas. The exterior is completely misleading. It's like one of the camping tents described in the Harry Potter series... you walk in and WOW! Spacious, modern, and CLEAN. From the art on the walls to the slate tile in the bathrooms, it is obvious the owners have exceptional taste and attention to detail. The staff is uniformly dressed and immediately attentive. Our hostess and waitress were exactly what you'd expect from "fine dining" establishments - checking in, accommodating, but NOT overbearing - perfect. Next comes the food. OK, it's not Michelin, there's no attempt at pretending it is, but the menu does the one thing that's lost to most businesses these days: under-promise and over-deliver. The portions were huge, the quality was excellent, and it definitely over-delivered for the price point. Will I be back? OH YES. Do I recommend it? MOST CERTAINLY. Do yourself a favor if you find yourself in the historic section of downtown Petaluma... drive a few miles back over the 101 and guarantee yourself a good time.

We had a great experience!! We all enjoyed our entrees but the chicken piccata was the ultimate in comfort food yum! The service was excellent, making our birthday celebration a fun one - thanks to Whitney!

This restaurant is very nicely decorated.. A bar with a big screen tv is in the front left as you enter. The lighting is just right; not too dim or too bright. They have an extensive menu. My wife had the wild salmon & said it was very good. I had the best chicken fried steak with country gravy (probably the best I have ever enjoyed). The carrot cake was delicious. Our waitress was very pleasant as was the cashier.

Just ate here for the first time tonight with my husband and son. Service was really great and food was so yummy. I had the herb crusted salmon with mashed potatoes and green beans. My husband had the sirloin steak and fries. The kids Mac n cheese is just boxed Kraft so don't expect anything special there but our 3 year old didn't mind. It was mellow and quiet for a Friday night good for families. We'll be back.

This place used to serve good food, properly prepared. Today I had the herb vegetarian sando with freshly grilled veggies. Awful. Really a poor excuse for a sandwich. Soggy bread, eggplant, onion, etc. more steamed than grilled. Nothing quite as eatable as an under done eggplant complete with soggy skin. Greasy. Tasteless. The fries used to be crispy and carefully cooked. These were greasy, limp and undercooked. Tasteless. Even the service was lacking. We sat for 10 minutes without water or utensils, etc. won't be back for a long while. Lots of good sandwich places to choose from.

OMG! Just read all the 5 Star reviews and had to check to make sure they were talking about the same place where we just ate! It started by us walking in and the hostess getting ready to seat us when the phone rang. She answered and instead of asking the caller to wait, we had to wait about three minutes for her to finish the phone conversation. We were seated, wait staff was pleasant, our order was taken and our food arrived quickly. I ordered a simple breakfast of bacon and eggs and English muffin. My husband had the Denver omelet with English muffin. My poached eggs were perfect, hash browns were just short of being burned as was the bacon and the English muffins were BLACK, we sent them back as they were totally uneatable! My husband's omelet was more like a scramble and was COLD. I love bacon but I could not eat what they served. It tasted as if it had been pre cooked and then reheated. It was dried out just on the verge of being burned. Because our food came so quickly it made me wonder if they pre cook some of their stuff. I am glad to see other people have had good experiences. We will not be going back!

Came here for lunch on a Tuesday. Wasn't too many people in the restaurant. We were seated immediately, order was taken within 5 minutes after being seated. However it took about 25 minutes before any food started coming out for just 4 people and we all ordered off the lunch special menu on the table. We saw other guests being seated after us and served similar foods with in 5 to 10 minutes of their orders being taken. Our waitress was not very attentive to our table at all. Would give 3 stars for service but 4 to 4-1/2 starts for food. They have a large variety of food, they even have small plates if you're not interested in a large meal, and most of the food is very tasty.

Not impressed. Went here for breakfast this morning. I ordered linguisa & eggs & my husband ordered the country breakfast (sausage, biscuit, gravy). The linguisa was dry/over-cooked, eggs, hash browns & toast were okay. Told the waitress & she offered to bring something else, but by the time that was cooked, I would've been eating that without the rest of my food. My husband's sausage was bland, and gravy tasted like it came from a can. We thought we would be comped a little for the dry linguisa, but we were not. Might try it for lunch, but definitely won't go back for breakfast.

Quick service with very good food. The decor is decent and the booths allow for a degree of privacy. The prices seem a bit steep, although not terrible, but the serving size will compensate. My favorite is the seared, herb crusted salmon filet. The ambiance does feel a bit dated and the staff is hit and miss. Some excellent and some mediocre, or else I would have given 5 stars.

I had dinner with my three kids. Kids pasta was so buttery my daughter wouldn't eat it. One son had the chicken tenders. These were super good and hime made. You could tell. My other son had a cheeseburger. It was huge! The fries were delicious. My Fiesta Salad was a case of too much topping and not enough lettuce. We will try again. Service was great.

Tasty options in a comfortable setting. Ever I thing our party had was terrific. I especially like the avocado egg rolls-just the right amount of cream I ness from the avocado and crunch from the egg roll. Fries were also perfect, and the grilled veggie sandwich was stuffed with a lot of veggies.

Palms Grill is a great find at a busy intersection in Petaluma! I have had breakfast, lunch and several dinners there and I enjoyed every meal. The restaurant is next door to a motel and has a diner look, but once you get inside, you quickly find the inside to be warmer and nicer and not at all diner-like. Upon entering, you are quickly greeted and seated by a friendly hostess. Service is attentive. The menu is diverse and the quality of the food is very good and the serving sizes are generous. I have had a breakfast quesadilla, a tuna melt, steak dinner, and prime rib dinner. All were outstanding with portions large enough to take half home. Even better, when the bill arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to find the bill to be far less than other places we have eaten at with similar quality food. I highly recommend the Palms Grill.

3.5 Stars so far. Service good overall, kinda goofy but cool dude, personable, shy. Manager stopped thru and asked how everything was Food was good, nothing over the top or totally original and creative but good. Everything was hot and seasoned right. Wife liked the burger, her fries were good, the ranch was right on and not sour. My eggplant sandwich was on a nice soft bun. I would have liked it filled a bit more with veggies ( 2 small slices eggplant, couple onions and 1 small piece of roasted red pepper ). I wished for more...... Side salad good, nice balsamic vin. I'm looking forward to going back for happy hour as well as menu testing. I'd be surprised if there weren't some real gems on this menu when the right cooks are on. For a brand new restaurant in a very unassuming location with truly comfortable updated décor, our booth was plush!!!, I will admit it did exceed my expectations ;)

We have now been to the Palms Grill twice, and both times have had good meals. The first was as a special guest for the Palms' soft opening and the second was to meet with East Side family for dinner. So far, we had the burger (because that is how I tell if a new place is any good), pastrami sandwich, fish tacos, meatloaf, orange chicken, a couple of steaks, and the deep fried pickles, which were awesome and will always be part of our order from here on out. The veggie sides are always perfectly cooked, but are doused in butter (which is the only way you will get me to eat veggies anyways.) The only thing that has been disappointing was the orange chicken, which was a bit overcook and over-breaded. The interior is nicely redecorated and the booths are very comfortable, but the place seems a bit sterile. Maybe some artwork would help, but as it stands there is nothing unique about the interior. Although, I will mention it again because it makes a difference to me, the booths are very comfortable. They have a great senior's "petite" menu, which is a great idea, not only for seniors, but also for those that want a few less calories out of their meal. It actually makes it much easier on the older crowd, who often times doesn't want to read through a huge menu, which is what the Palms has. The Petite menu has half a dozen of the more popular menu items but in a smaller portion size. We have gone with our parents, who like ordering from that menu. The staff seems a bit inexperienced (you can just tell) but that doesn't take away from their service one bit. Actually, I wouldn't normally mention it except that the Palms Grill is a perfect example that you can give great service without being experienced, which makes me wonder why so many places with experienced staff still have such crappy service. My hat is off the Palms Grill management and staff for doing sucha great job. They are attentive, get the orders correct, and are courteous at all times. The manager always stops in at least once, and is there to fill water and refill the bread basket in order to back up his staff. That says a lot to me about a place. I might even go as far as to say the service at the Palms Grill is the highlight...well, along with the deep fried pickles. I like that the owner (Mike) is a local, who graduated from Sonoma State University and then open the popular Palms Grill in Sonoma. My overall impression is that 1) the staff is great (service is the #1 priority in my book), 2) the food is good, and 3) the atmosphere is nice, although could use a little something. This is going to be a good addition to the East Side of Petaluma, which is a bit sparce on good restaurants to meet with our East Side family members when they don't want to drive to the West Side.

It was my first time here. It was close to the airport so I decided To check it out for lunch. The rib eye steak sandwich was great. The environment was good. I would defiantly stop by whenever I'm in town and am looking for a spot to eat.

My husband, son and I have eaten here a few times, and each time has been a great experience. The restaurant is clean and very upscale looking on the inside (the outside looks like a standard hotel diner). They're also very kid friendly. The food is great! I've tried their parmesan crusted salad, the petite salmon and the prime rib- all were perfectly cooked and seasoned. They also offer small plate appetizers that are very innexpensive. The zuccini fries come with their very tasty housemade ranch dressing and are super good. Also their mini caprese salad with balsamic syrup is amazing too. Everything on the menu sounds wonderful and I know we will be back again and again. The prices are pretty reasonable too, especially for the amount of food you get- you will not leave hungry! Give this place a try if you are in the area, you will not be dissapointed!

Very happy with our first meal there. Huge Sonoma Salad with lots of surprises...dates, raisins, warm grilled chicken, avocado and more mounded high. Hubby had French Dip with excellent sauce, bread and meat. And the first time I've seen a Wedge Salad served with veggies included on the side. It's great when you get more than you were expecting from a dining experience.

There was nothing on the Palms Grill menu that I didn't like, so I had a hard time deciding. In the end I had chicken fingers and fries ($9). The chicken fingers were fried and so a little greasy. Next time I'll have the grilled chicken instead (around $10). My friend had an omlette, beautifully presented. He liked his omlette better than I liked my chicken fingers :) The service at Palms Grill was efficient but without a smile. The atmosphere was casual, pretty decor, good choice of color palette, but IMO the ochre walls, dark wood and fireplace would feel cosier in the winter. Parking was easy, although coming from South McDowell forces you into an illegal left turn, otherwise you need to drive into one of the malls and turn. All in all, Palms Grill is a decent option, but when there are so many more restaurants to choose from, I would take my time to go back.

I've come for breakfast several times and the food is good. The last 2 times I tried to go there they were not open at 7 AM so we left and went elsewhere. I won't be back to a place that doesn't open on time.

While I was staying at the Best Western in Petaluma a few days ago, I noticed the Palms Grill next door and decided to try it out for dinner. From the outside, it didn't really look like much - just a squarish box of a building with a dark brown facade that made it resemble some sort of drab maintenance facility. However, passing through its front doors was a bit like stepping through the doors of Doctor Who's Tardis..... suddenly, I found myself transported to an entirely different world, this one full of plush carpet, dark wood paneling, sparkling liquor bottles arrayed behind a massive bar, heavy tables nestled in white table cloths, and high-backed banquettes garbed in leather upholstery. It was unexpectedly upscale for folksy Petaluma; I almost expect that obnoxious guy from Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous to jump out from behind a potted plant and begin commentating. Of course, the ambience of a restaurant matters only so much. It's the food that makes or breaks a restaurant for me, so after I had placed my order, I was eager to see if their food matched their interior design in quality. First up was the appetizer - a small bowl full of deep-fried pickles, which I ordered because I had never tried them before. Although I was a little skeptical at first, I found them to be a surprisingly delectable, with the crunchy and mildly sour dill pickles complementing the spicy heat of their batter coating, as well as the rich creaminess of the ranch dipping sauce that accompanied them. They were perfectly executed, as well, without a hint of sogginess, burned spots, or undercooked batter. A wire basket with a loaf of French-style bread and a platter of the restaurant's house salad were up next. To be honest, both were a bit of a letdown. The bread lacked much flavor, while the salad consisted mostly of shredded iceberg lettuce, with a little leaf lettuce, a little mesclun, and a few cherry tomatoes thrown in, almost as garnishes. I'm just not a big fan of iceberg lettuce, and it annoys me greatly when restaurants try to scrimp on their house salads by loading them up with this nearly flavorless lettuce variety. A generous helping of blue cheese dressing allowed me to get past the boring salad, just in time for the main course to appear. Fortunately, the main course more than made up for the salad. It consisted of Chicken Piccata on a bed of mashed potatoes, with a mound of fresh, sauteed vegetables on the side. The Chicken Piccata was perfectly executed, so that it was juicy and tender on the inside, lightly breaded on the outside, and doused in a wonderfully rich sauce that was steeped in the flavors of butter, chicken, lemon, and capers. The mashed potatoes were made from scratch (yes, they contained real chunks of potato) and properly seasoned, and they absorbed the chicken piccata's sauce nicely. And the vegetables - a fresh blend of carrots, celery, green beans, wax beans, and eggplant - were sauteed expertly, so that they were neither undercooked nor mushy. Service here was attentive, almost (but not quite) to the point of being fussy. The servers were friendly and yet polite, and kept my water glass topped off throughout the meal. The portions served were fairly substantial and filling, and although the food itself was not particularly imaginative, it was well executed, enjoyable, and a reasonable value for the price. I do have to dock it a bit for the lackluster bread and salad course, so I am giving it a rating of 4/5 stars.

My husband and I were surprised by how good our meals were. It has been remodeled recently and looks like they intended on an "upscale" look. But the location (next to a Best Western) may mislead you. We were traveling and didn't get any mean stares from our host/waitstaff despite being in casual, travel clothes, and having a toddler in tow. In fact the wait staff was very friendly and pleasant especially our server, Melissa. And they have a family restroom with changing station! The food as I've mentioned was really delicious. I had a smaller portion of the chicken piccata and my husband had a burger. Both were very well prepared. I am in my 1st trimester of pregnancy and sometimes eating out can be repugnant to me, but I devoured my plate. During our dinner conversation we also overheard another group speaking to our server raving about the food, it being there first time there as well. A meal for two including one coke (and one water) came out to about $24. Very reasonable for the quality, considering you will end up paying the same for a chain restaurant (Applebees? Chiles? bleeech!). Next time we are in Petaluma we'll stop in again.

As a traveller staying at the adjacent Best Western, I was very happily surprised when I dragged myself in to eat here. This is no Howard Johnson's, but a beautifully architected restaurant with a very upscale feel that everyone, from business travellers to families on vacation can feel comfortable in. The food was unexpectedly awesome, at a price far less than I would have expected for the quality (huge hamburger, very gourmet, with avocados, bacon, and sweet potato fries, $12), service was excellent (the manager stopped by my table and asked how they were doing - he seemed really ready to listen no matter what my answer might have been) and there is a delicious bread served with your meal, too. There is a full bar in traditional mahogany, some large sports TV screens (playing baseball, when I was there), and many booths, plus a large room for large groups. The menu resembles what you would find at Cheesecake Factory - only, I thought the food was a lot better (I would rather go here than there). I noticed some of the reviews from local diners mentioning that the decorating seems "sterile". I can see how it could be seen that way by Petaluma's wine-country residents, but as a person accustomed to run-of-the mill hotel restaurant dining, I considered this to be a heaven-sent upgrade to unbelievably good food in a really nice atmosphere that exceeded all of my expectations and left me feeling wonderful. I went back to my hotel room with a happy smile on my face and glad plans to enjoy dining there again in the morning.

This was the second time we ate at Palm's Grill. So I will break down my observations. 1: Cleanliness- from the bathrooms to the floors under the tables, very clean. The seats were very clean and comfortable. The decor was warm. 2: Staff- They were very courteous and friendly. Our waitress definitely deserved a great rating because she was awesome. 3: Food - Now we have eaten all over the United States as well as over seas, I found the food to be of good quality. We both had dinner salads and I loved the balsamic vinaigrette dressing. The portion was just right because I hate when they bring a large dinner salad. The lettuces and veggies in the salad were crisp and fresh. I had the Chicken Picatta and my GF had the Chopped Steak dinner. We both felt the portions were so big, didnt leave you hungry at all. The chicken Picatta had a really savory wine sauce and mixed with the mushrooms, it was delicious. My GF's Chopped Steak dinner was really scrumptious. It had good flavor and the gravy was mouth watering. No we were so full we couldn't even bare the thought of dessert. lol. I have read some of the lesser reviews here but sorry Peppers Restaurant wasn't even in the same ball park for food quality and taste. I know because I ate there many times. I would recommend this restaurant for a great meal, whether its breakfast, lunch or dinner. I would say one of the main things I look for in a restaurant is cleanliness. We both have discussed many restaurants and how to rate them. This one is a winner.

Pretty good more a restaurant that looks like a diner from the outside. The inside is a nice, comforting atmosphere. Staff are friendly and attentive. Food is above average. The only negative thing that I can think of is that a lot of there restaurant seems to be a copy of Cheesecake Factory. From their menu items, to even the layout of the menu, you find yourself asking, "Am I at cheesecake?" Would be nice to see them do their own "thing," but good food, great portions and even better prices!

New restaurant. 3rd day opened- but... Not impressed. Asked for a high chair- the hostess said they didn't have any, but as we were being seated we saw a stack of them in the back of the restaurant and helped ourself. 6 of us were seated at a 4 person table, so we had to ask to be seated at a different table. We had to ask for a kids menu, even though we had a 2 year old. The food looked good as it was getting served, but when we cut into our 'medium rare' burger we discovered they were both well done. The waitress offered to take it back but we declined, because we didn't want to wait. The service was interesting, the food had potential- but over all the experience was .. Blah. Ill give it a year, if they are still here I will give it another go.

Ate here for later dinner. Good choice for hungry travelers that don't want to go to a chain restaurant. I had prime rib special. Meal was well done. Wife had garlic noodles "soggy but tasty". Salad was chilled nicely. Service was quick with a smile. Eating breakfast now. Service quick. Food was good. Recommend as a good alternative to hotel "free breakfast" it's a solid 3 star.

First I need to say that the service was about the best I have seen at any restraint I have been to. Perfect. On the flip side the food was ordinary. It looked nice and was presented well but lacked anything to make it special and make us want to come back. I had the stake and my wife ordered Shepard pie. We also had a calamari app. Everything was rather bland with no real special flavors to make up pay compliments The food wasn't bad but like I said it wasn't special. It may have been an off night for us or the chef but we won't be making it a destination to revisit any time soon. There is a lot better food available at any price. But credit needs to be given to the service staff.

We had an alright breakfast. Food was a bit cold, but the restaurants environment and service made up for it. We had an issue with their wifi and they immediately worked on their system for us to use it.

Had an overpriced breakfast with a friend. They have a better deal on weekdays. The bacon was nice a crisp. I had two eggs and it seemed like a very small portion. Same with my friends. They give you a lot of hash browns. I will probably give them a try for lunch sometime. They also have some lunch specials. Nice server and a clean place.

Listen everyone! This place is the best place in Petaluma for breakfast , burgers , sandwiches , & diner, we've gone there 4 times this past month and every time was great! The restaurant is super clean, and so was the staff. I'm hooked! So far we had omlettes, sausage/bacon & eggs , great hash browns , awesome burger special for lunch, really good lemon pancakes, seriously the nicest upscale diner type restraunt in our area!

Went here on saturday night for the second time. Our server was Christopher, very friendly guy but very soft spoken. You really have to focus when he talks or you wont hear anything he said. My boyfriend ordered the Palms melt, he loved every bite of it. The avocado and tomato's were very fresh. Presentation was done very well! I ordered the Ribeye cooked to medium. It came out medium, it was good. A little disappointment on how much fat was on it. I spent most of my dinner cutting the fat off instead of getting lots of meat. The garlic mashed potatoes and side of veggies were fabulous. Cooked very well, not over done. The bread they bring you is always warm and fresh, we had at least 3 baskets(thank you christopher for bringing them to us :)! Great atmosphere, beautiful setting for company in town, or if you just want a wide variety of food. The menu is excellent, everyone can find something to order on it. I like to come here, always friendly, clean and the manager does walk around and ask everyone how everything is. Good team work. I must mention the HOSTESS, was exceptionally friendly. Even after she seated other people she still asked us if we need anything. She looked younger, long dirty blonde color hair. Very nice, keep her in the front, people like her!

I disagree that the front of the restaurant resembled a maintenance building. Yes, it is somewhat plain, but when you step inside, you enter a new experience. The place is fabulous. We had the lemon herb chicken. We were able to have a baked potato. The only issue for us, is that we like a lot of veggies. We asked for extra veggies, but didn't see much difference in the amount. The staff is pleasant and so is the atmosphere.

A large group of us went (12 of us) the onion rings were soggy :( half of our foods were cold, my husband ordered his steak medium and got well done, my nephew ordered a steak dinner and didn't get it until we were all done eating. Their excuse was they had only been open a week and aren't use to large parties. Very disappointed.

We also were invited to the soft opening for the Palms Grill and I have to say the ambience is beautiful, not at all what we expected. All the staff was so nice and welcoming. When we got seated we immediately got asked what we'd like for drink followed by some warm bread. We started off with a little appetizer which I got the Greek salad and my husband got the tomato and mozzarella salad. Both were delicious. The presentation was great and they give you the perfect amount of dressing. Tasted very fresh! Then we ordered dinner and I got the Palms Burger. When it came it was huge and loaded with goodies. It was amazing and so flavorful and fresh tasting!!! My husband had a shrimp and pasta dish that I tasted and it also had a nice light flavor. He enjoyed it a lot and they give you a descent amount of shrimp. Overall experience was fantastic and I highly recommend it! Prices are comparable to neighboring restaurants, food it great, beautiful atmosphere, and a fantastic bar!

If I was to grade this restaurant a solid B+ would be the grade. The decor is a great improvement over the previous Chinese buffet place that was there before. It was modern but welcoming. Our server Natalie was very nice and helpful. The menu is American and somewhat extensive. I got the Garlic pasta with shrimp and my wife got the coconut shrimp salad. Our meals came in a timely manner and the presentation was very nice. We were both very happy since they both tasted great. All in all a very nice experience and we can't wait to back and try some other dishes.

We went to try out the Palms Grill last weekend. I live a block away and we were really glad to see a new restaurant move in after the buffet moved out (yucko). The decor is REALLY nice and I was impressed. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. I had kids with me and they all wanted to modify the menu items of course which was no problem. Everything was really tasty and served quickly. We will definitely go back. *** Highly recommend the fish tacos.

Palm's is a nicely decorated restaurant with excellent, attentive service, tasty food with fresh ingredients, and a great value. I had their turkey bacon avocado wrap special for $7 and was very pleased. Check it out!

OK...Had lunch for the first time last Saturday and enjoyed it so much we came back for breakfast the next day...first off, we were greeted with smiles from the front door and throughout the service...so refreshing to see smiling happy friendly people!! Andrea was our waitress and she was super fabulous...love ya Andrea! okay...so for the food... Breakfast;creamy melt in your mouth hash browns, yummy bacon and eggs cooked as ordered. Lunch...shared a California Cheese Steak sandwich with fries, food was served nice and hot, cooked to order and very fresh tasting..Dinner ... I had the baby back ribs with onion strings...love the onion strings!! ribs falling off the bone and tasty....my man had the ribeye steak, which i tasted and found it cooked perfectly and very flavorful. Walter the night shift manager was very hands on making sure we were happy with the food and service. Great ambiance throughout, nice decor and subdued lighting

two stars strictly because the food was decent. This place is entirely overpriced, food was mediocre, and the staff was nothing short of rude and blatantly unhelpful. Our server had many snide or under her breath comments during our meal. We asked if my son could substitute sausage (he doesnt eat it) for something else, and the woman looked so perplexed and said there was nothing she could do. $8 for a kids meal, and you wont substitute for something my picky eater will actually eat?! No thanks. They dont like kids in here and it is made known. They lied on the menu and said they had beer battered onion rings, but when we got them they were clearly frozen and breaded. weird. Definitely not a deal breaker for us...but after the nasty reception we had, it was irritating. Even though I live less than a block from this place, we will not be coming back. Something about this place rubbed me the wrong way. Its like they WANT to be a high end expensive restaurant so badly, but really, its just a glorified Dennys.

Went there for lunch and the food was good. Nicely plated, fries come in a silver container rather than being piled on the plate. The burger was huge. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. Definitely going back.

I absolutely love this restaurant. My family and I met here last Sunday, December 22. There were six of us. First we had some lovely cocktails that were just delicious. We also ordered the assorted platter of oderves. There were onion rings, potato skins, chicken wings, chicken wraps, & avocado wraps. The avocado wraps were to die for. Everything was good, but those avocado wraps were so delicious. They served everything with a ranch dressing, & a very unique and delicious tangy Chinese sauce for the wraps. I wish I could have bought a bottle of that sauce. They gave us excellent service & were checking on us all the time,. The food was delicious! Two of us had the rib eye steaks. They were grilled to perfection. Lovely grilled veggies, & a baked potato with all the fix''ins. My daughter-in-law had the salmon and she loved it. My grandson had a cheeseburger and it looked delicious to me, & he said it was great. My son, & brother had the pork chops and mashed potato's. They said it was very good. The restaurant was offering prime rib which we were thinking of getting, but didn't because we were having that for Christmas. I also liked the big booths they had there to sit in, and with all the wood we felt like we were in a big, old fashioned lodge. It was very charming, and the whole experience was great. So glad we decided to go there. We will definitely be back, especially to try their breakfast. And also we will be back for lunch or dinner, they have fabulous looking salads I want to try. This will definitely be my new go to restaurant.

I think Palms gets overlooked by many due to the previous restaurants that occupied that space. Palms has great ambiance and very friendly staff. The food always comes out fast. We frequent Palms for breakfast and have not been disappointed. Coffee is refilled frequently which in my book is a huge plus! The chicken picatta is a delicious choice for dinner. Palms is never crowded.

I ate at The Palms Grill a week after it opened and I have to say the Pork tenderloin sandwich I had was very dry and chewy . I kept trying to find something redeeming about this food but unfortunately it was pretty bland. The waitress was excessively chatty and kept coming by to hang out while we were trying to eat

The waitstaff were nice & friendly. The ambiance was also nice. I gave it two stars because the food was not the best. I had garlic noodles which were good. Needed more seasoning. My grandma & aunt had grilled salmon. It was too salty. The carrot soup was yummy. My husband had the meatloaf. It was not edible. Even after letting the manger know it was awful, the manager didn't care. The lack of empathy & caring of customer satisfaction has left a bad taste in our mouth. We will never go there again!

All of the staff at Palms Grill was very friendly and attentive. They have very good drinks during happy hour I recommend the Caribbean Sea, was very good without being too sweet. They also have cheap beers on tap ($1off during happy hour.) The palms burger was a great choice 8/10 on the burger scale. I would not however recommend the orange chicken.. It tastes like it came straight from the freezer! Overall great experience.
