I CANNOT believe they have a place this cool in Prescott. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of fun places along Whiskey Row to get your drink on but this speak-easy inspired spot is an awesome place to come in, chill out and enjoy a beer, glass of wine, or a hand-crafted cocktail. I have to thank our bartender at Lyzzard's Lounge for bringing us here after a few drinks at his spot. You enter through the less than conspicuous back door below street level and enter a world of ambient lighting, cool tunes, an awesome bar with some community tables and other seating. iIf you can get a spot at the bar, the expert mixologists will throw together original, tasty concoctions or a craft beer. The crowd is decidedly more distinguished than you'll find at most of the other watering holes but they're friendly and here to have a good time. This really reminds me of something you'd perhaps find in Portland or some other "cool" city here in The States. Definitely come check this place out, it is AWESOME!!!!!

Me and my now fiancé went to this bar with her cousin last November and I must say. One of the chillest bars I've ever been too. The atmosphere is amazing. I live out in Los Angeles and have been wanting to go back ever since. I know my review is all late but it's better late than never!

One of my favorite spots in Prescott to come for a casual drink! This bar is one of the coolest places I've ever been to. This was my second time there, and now it is a ritual anytime I go to Prescott. Starting off here or ending here is the way to go, just remember it is more of a laid back feel but try and take in all the amazing decor. If you're looking for hidden and low-key place with a speakeasy environment, then look no further. This bar is not your ordinary Whiskey Row bar, but it has much to offer. There are many drinks on the menu, but my favorite is any of the Mules. Moscow Mule to be exact - hands down. It is a must to try! You will be able to enjoy in a nice copper mug :) All the bartenders are pretty friendly and busy trying to knock out all the fancy drink orders! Check it out.

Went here this weekend with some friends. We walked right by it.... I had been here a few years ago but the place was a total dive and was very sketchy before. I didn't realize that The Point was at the same location (I am an out of towner) and had TOTALLY been redone. We stepped inside and were immediately greeted by a gentleman who offered us a spot to sit. How nice! They have hand crafted cocktails at very fair prices... Original and creative drinks. Love the renovation... Very comfortable and clean. The crowd was nice as well. We will return.

Love the atmosphere of this "Prescott Speakeasy"! Just the two of us stopped in for a drink (great lemon drop martini), but this would be a greatly fun place for a party group. Ambiance is great with mini chandeliers and comfortable seating plus a cool bar. I can picture a game of pool along with some really nice cocktails! They also feature a World of Mules-nice assortment of those ginger beer mule drinks! Heard they have food but didn't have any.

Man has this bar been through transformations since I was a wee 21-year-old. Ok, 19-year-old. It's nice now instead of a barf-smelling hovel, which I loved. Decent live music and a pool table. Mixologist-type place for cocktails. I love the hardwood floor that used to be torn-up carpet I'd trip on every time. Plus my friend bartends there, to it's a happy place.

Very impressed , small and very friendly . If ur from out of town they will know right away and make sure your enjoying your self!!! Good ppl good service and walking distance to the historic part of town.

They do not serve food any longer. However, they absolutely know how to put together a quality craft cocktail. Friendly and knowledgable bar staff - made us some fabulous drinks. Gracias!!

Best late night lounge in Prescott... Friendliest bartender in classic attire, amazing bar with every liqueur and syrup you want, good tap selection, awesome decor, and friendly people... Will definitely be stopping by again on my next time through prescott

We came here expecting to hear live punk music like we alway have. Turns out the ownership has changed and the ambiance is nearly the exact opposite. The new place is modeled after a speak easy. The drinks are good, bartenders competent and prices fair. We had two beers that were flat, and despite them being half drank, they were exchanged for something a bit more fresh. The bouncer, Hoss, was also really friendly and willing to suggest drinks. A good, although, surprising experience.

Tried this place many times. Drinks are inconsistent one day ill have a great drink there then when the staff shifts (which it does frequently) the same drink comes out awful. The service is terrible. I feel as though this place has great potential with the right staff and management. However until then dont waste your time or money

Great service, I highly recommend the key lime margarita and the gentleman with the handlebar mustache...mad skills man. Moscow mule was incredible as well

I enjoyed the change from all the sports bars in Prescott! The bartender was really nice and made some great suggestions. It was an interesting setting, downstairs and around the corner but a great feeling inside. I will be back for sure! Try the jalapeño margarita! It's savory and delicious!

Michael is the best bartender ever. He brought us whiskey samples. Every time I am in Prescott I will definitely be at this bar. Great atmosphere, great music, great cocktails and friendly staff.

The value of the drinks"hand made cocktails" are of great value. The down side is if you have an hour to wait for a cocktail then you have much less to do than me! Great drinks but order a beer! Candy is dandy but liquor is quicker is not quite the case. Keep it simple

Fuck this place. It's my roommates 21st birthday and they denied us service at a table. They blatantly ignored us and when we asked for the server, they said it was too busy to serve us...they then proceeded to serve the rest of the customers, of which there are no more than 20. Fuck your rude attitude and judgements, that's not how customer service works, nor humanity.

Awesome awesome place..amazing hand muddled cocktails and an awesome beer selection at a definatly affordable price point..they are probaly the only bar in town with a good whiskey/bourbon selection and the staff (adam and bob especially) are super knowledgeable about their booze and the drinks they are serving you..unlike some of the other bars on whiskey row who hire based upon sex appeal and do not care if their bartenders actually know what they are pouring..if you want an awesome quality cocktail at a great price in a great environment go to the point and skip whiskey row especially matts saloon (mr. Boston vodka is garbage and should never be put in my $7.00 drink) i promise you you won't be disappointed..
(5)Jessica K.
Agreed with the previous reviewer, this place is amazing and easily the classiest establishment on whiskey row. Excellent drinks (and I'm comparing to the big cities, LA, etc.) If you want to get wasted and be rachet, please stay out. Beautifully remodeled, lovely staff and menu.

So this location and previous bar was not good at all and I avoided it at all costs. Recently there must have been a change because now everything is remodeled and it is a fantastic place to go! It has a great atmosphere, great drinks, free pool, plenty of seating and 100 percent better than before. I would have to say that this place closely represents a speakeasy or jazz lounge. This is also a great place to take a date after a nice diner for a cocktail or two!

Wow, what a change from the previous incarnation. And, finally, a place in Prescott where a "cocktail" isn't just a jack and coke. Carefully prepared martinis, old fashioneds, mojitos, daquiris etc from a staff that seems to actually care whether you like what they've created. Nice, tastefully done decor, comfortable seating, and well dressed staff/patrons give this place a great lounge-y vibe. The somewhat hidden entrance lends the air of a speakeasy. Crowd is primarily late twenties to forties, and way more sophisticated than what you find at most places on the row. Highly recommend this place for a change of pace from the normal whiskey row drinkin' dancin' and fightin'.

If the Restoration Hardware home store had a bar/lounge, this would be it! VERY well designed, clean, and cozy. My favorite features are the exposed granite foundation wall, plush leather seating, and maple accenting throughout. I don't think any pictures I've seen online really do it justice. I went there with my partner on a Friday night when it was just about a full house and it didn't feel crowded or stuffy. Music was upbeat and played a little of everything from John Mayer to Metallica...not so loud that you couldn't have a conversation. Cocktail selection was first class. I had a Key Lime Pie martini served in a graham cracker crust rimmed glass. My partner had an Apple Crisp martini garnished with a cinnamon apple slice. Both delicious. Next time we look forward to trying some of their classics like the Manhattan or Cosmopolitan. Their bar is fully stocked, so I'm sure you can request whatever kind of drink you want. Service was fantastic. Staff was friendly, professional, and seemed like they really enjoyed being there. The Point is now certainly on my list of places to bring our out-of-town family and friends.

Wonderful place away from the tourist traps on Whiskey Row. Hard to find but so worth the visit ... And be sure to visit on Tamale Tuesdays!

I love this place! Professional bartenders and staff. Great ambiance and energy throughout. Interesting drinks and good draft beer selections. Went on a busy Saturday night and they had four bartenders keeping up with a huge thirsty crowd. I also liked the distinct areas they created for groups. You won't even recognize this place from its previous forms. It's the cool place for a drink in Prescott.
(5)Mercedes B.
Simply amazing! Bartenders are great and drinks are unlike any others in Prescott! The mixology is a true art. Great music and open jam on Sunday's is a ton of fun!

In response to David H.-- Hi David. I'm confused about your review and therefore feel inclined to seek more clarification from you. As far as I've always understood it, the intention of Yelp.com is to provide a social forum for the public to openly discuss their personal experiences when providing their valuable patronage to local businesses. While your previous review certainly begins with important and valid feedback for the staff of The Point, as well as the public to be aware of, I simply don't understand the personal attack regarding the bartender Adam that follows. For the sake of thoughtful and respectful debate.... This fella Adam was over heard expressing a personal opinion about another professional in town while socializing, off the clock, with friends at an separate establishment from both The Point and The Raven Cafe. Regardless of your personal offense to his words and/or loving friendship with the other fella Jarred (which are legit) the reality is, that Adam did nothing unprofessional in this act of expressing his own personal feelings in the midst of his own personal conversation, which are also completely legitimate. Another point that I just have to make.... You're scathing review presents as somewhat hypocritical, considering that you stated, " This is not in alignment of what hospitality service, human compassion and confidentiality is...Adam has displayed these traits 20 yrs ago to me and today". Human Compassion? And where is yours David H.? I feel that there is a significant lack of human compassion in your reaction to Adam's personal conversation that you happened to over hear. I just don't see any compassion in venting your clearly personal (20 year long) vendetta against another person on a popularized social forum such as Yelp.com . In fact, I find it not only inappropriate to drag as successful local business into your beef, but also question your maturity as this method of communication presents as more passive aggressive and cowardly than anything else. Perhaps you can muster up a bit of bravery and tell this Adam fella what you think about him in person and leave Yelp to grown up's who will utilize this site for its actual purpose. Best of luck to you.

I wish we had found this place prior to the day we were leaving town! The whiskey selection is amazing, and the bar tenders are top notch. We followed some music to find this place and will definitely keep it on the list for the next trip to prescott. It isn't like amy other place there!

Sat night visit to Prescott. First, this place is super cool in terms of look/theme. The downside, music. When I say that, I don't mean because my favorites weren't playing. The problem was that the music gave no energy to the place. In observing the other patrons, during the 1.5hrs or so i was there, not once did i see someone visibly enjoying what was playing. By 1030-11 almost all tables were empty. It felt more like a Tuesday on a Sat night. Not saying they need live/overly loud music or anything, just something that gives the place more energy.

Where the hell am I? This can't be Prescott. I don't see any cowboy pictures or people wearing period garb. No shady meth addicts or gun toting senior citizens (JK Prescott Peeps, I love all of you!!!). This bar would be a huge hit in central Phoenix, but just off of Gurley St. is this enter thru the back, windowless cave of cool eclectic chairs and chandeliers. Low ceilings with intimate seating areas, this bar has that speakeasy feel in the heart of good ole Preskitt. Now the bar is cool enough for me to guzzle vodka, but that isn't even the best thing about The Point. These bartenders are some of the best I have ever had. Yeah, I know I'm in Prescott, how the hell can that be? These guys and gal know their shit! First, all of their juices are fresh squeezed in house. Second, they make their own bitters, infused vodkas and fresh herbs. Yeah, Prescott! You know that these bartenders are passionate about their craft. Multiple times I saw them dip a straw to test their creations to make sure they are spot on. Extremely personable and knowledgeable these bartenders are the tops in my book and The Point Bar & Lounge is as well. I didn't even get into the prices of these beautiful concoctions. Imagine drinking at Gibsons on Rush in Chicago, but paying Applebee's prices. That's a compliment!! Looking forward to my next visit!
