California Burrito was pretty good. Carne asada was flavorful and abundant. I prefer the California burrito with fries instead of diced potatoes though. I loved the self-serve jalapeno/carrot escabeche and salsa bar. Plastic sandwich bags and cups w/ lids to take it on the go. A hearty meal. Great value for price.

You know what to expect every time you come here and that's nice. I love their shrimp burrito. Whatever I ordered is always nicely seasoned and their burritos are always generously packed. I'd of given four stars, but the woman working the counter always refuses to give me, or anyone I'm with, more than two of their little hot sauce containers (they're little). If I want to drown my burrito in hot sauce, that's my deal, we're not fancy here.

I ordered a chile releno burrito to go,got it pretty fast, figured I devour the thing on my walk home, pretty much unwrapped once I got out the door but the only thing that seemed to be heated up was the tortilla, the stuffing/filling was cold! The Service was rather lackluster too, counterperson seemed more interested in watching tv instead of helping a waiting customer!

My friends and I basically live at this place. Honestly I just felt compelled to write a review because it would be an injustice to not do so considering how often I go here.. most mexican food in Flagstaff is w/e this place is DANKKKKK plus the people who own it seem like nice humble people YEEEEE

Not really good, not horrible. Diablo Camaromes were hot with an off putting flavor, the chili Verde had a nice hot sauce on mystery meat. Quesadilla was good, but that is impossible to make inedible.

I just waited over 30 minutes for two breakfast burritos. Do not go here if you are in a hurry. With the wait time I was hoping they would be the best freaking breakfast burrito I've ever had, but sadly it wasn't. I ordered two of the hashbrown, sausage, bacon and sour cream breakfast burritos. I do not understand what took them so long to make. The kicker was when I had already been waiting over 30 minutes the kid behind the counter asked me if I wanted sour cream. I really wanted to be a smart ass and tell him I thought I ordered it that way, but I refrained. The burritos were ok. I don't think it had any sausage and the bacon is a little funky, but they were edible. I do however like their salsa. The red is pretty spicy with good flavor and the green is not spicy at all. Which is good because it balances out the fire from the red. Unfortunately I will not return. Waiting over 30 minutes for a mediocre breakfast burrito is not my idea of a good time. I'm sticking to Tacos Los Altos on the East side.

So, we purchase a Restaurant.com certificate worth $15. We go to redeem it and they tell us they will only honor it for $5? What a rip! Restaurant.com gave us our money back but how sleezy was that of Ralbertos? The certificate says $15 ON IT, right at the top!

It's been an aggravating day, it's getting late and I need some good Mexicomfort food. I'd know exactly where to go back home but in Freezing Flagstaff I'm a little out o' my element. I call Ralberto's and learn that they're open 'til midnight and check out Yelp and see a bunch of 4 and 5 star reviews. This ..might ...just ...work. The carne asada torta was wonderful. Flavorful, generously packed, with a good helping of salsa verde, it was exactly what I was looking for. Once those sticky tables had been cleaned up and I had half that sandwich in my belly the world was lookin' a whole lot rosier. That good food can make me so happy and poor food can make so angry, I'm afraid that that reflects the shallowness of my character. I'll have to address that. After I finish my sandwich. 2013 #6 / 365

Alright, this place isn't the rits, it's also failed a few tests... However, I'll be damned if it's not the most Mexican Mexican food place in town. If you love going to Mexico so you can spend $20 on a million tacos from some dude by the side of the road while drinking soda in a glass bottle then this place is for you. I have tried everybody in town, and there are several good ones, but this has been without a doubt my favorite for the last 10 years. The Carne fries are the best several thousand calorie meal you can have for less than $10 in Flagstaff, and they have awesome breakfast burritos. I wouldn't go here often if you are watching your mid section but every once in a while it's the only thing that hits the spot.

I was in Flagstaff for a few days and walked well over a mile to get to Ralberto's because the reviews were promising. It did not disappoint! I got a California pollo asado burrito and it was a solid Southern California style feed. Well done guys!

The food is still good, but MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR RECEIPT IF YOU PAY WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD! I usually opt out of getting a receipt and don't usually tip since there's no waiting service, but I've been overcharged according to my bank statement multiple times from this location and had to get my bank involved since they were tampering with the tip line and giving themselves more money. Not cool.

Being half Mexican I grew up know the difference between white Mexican food aka Taco Bell and real Mexican food. In my experience it is always the hole in the wall small Mexican joints that serve what I like to call real Mexican food. Ralbertos has it right. Little things like the tortilla and beans are what separate them and make them sooo good. Good place to grab a burrito anytime. Close to NAU what could be better.

I eat often ( for the last 20 years in Arizona) in these small Mexican places but will never go to this one again. I ordered a carne asada burrito and asked that they not put guacamole but add extra pico. The price jumped up a dollar. I asked why and he said "for the extra pico." He said the cost and effort to prepare justified the extra cost. I have never had this happen before and should have left then. What a rip. I still wanted the burrito so said just prepare it without the guacamole. When I ate it ( at the restaurant) I had numerous pieces of meat that were so full of gristle they were unchewable. While eating at one of their tables the worker decided to sweep out the dining area and it didn't matter I was there trying to eat my meal. Thanks for the dust and dirt. I will never go here again.

For fast food Mexican, this is one of the better places in town. It can be slightly pricy for being fast food, but they definitely put quality into their food. I am a definitely a fan of their beef tacos.

I'm not sure if I came here on the worst day they have ever had, but this place was horrible. I couldn't even believe they had the audacity to charge me for the crap they served. I understand this is fast food Mexican so my expectations aren't very high in the first place, especially for it being in Flagstaff. I ordered taquitos and cheese enchiladas. Every person on earth should be able to cook these items properly its brainless but they still messed it up. The taquitos were improperly fried and had almost no beef at all inside. The cheese enchiladas were cold cheese wrapped in a cold tortilla and topped with what I can only describe as ketchup. Yuck!! I'm super picky about Mexican food, but this had nothing to do with pickiness this was just a food travesty.

Forget the adobado. go with the Carnitas burrito. there must have been over 1lb of delicious and ever-so-tender-pork in there. Open til midnight. No restroom.

I have always had exceptional food and service here at Ralberto's and the cost is very affordable. Beef and chicken tacos, super nachos, California burrito, fish tacos, carne asada, beans, rice, practically everything on the menu is wonderful and generously portioned. I love any of it and it is made fast, though you may encounter a wait because of the queue. Their red and green salsas are great. It is clean and they are very friendly. I would go here over the Chipotle that is next door ANY day!

Great Authentic Mexican food. Carne Asada was delicious. Glad we used Yelp because it isn't a place I'd go to without references. The outside looks questionable but very good.

Nice and clean little take away mexican place in a strip mall (next to to a Chipotle!!) Had the chile relleno burrito which was around $5. Breakfast burritos all day long!! I would recommend for cheap to-go but there are a few booths if you want to eat there. Im a vegetarian so I cant comment on the meat dishes, but I would imagine they are really good. Worth checking out.

The closest to an authentic SoCal Taco Shop that I've found in Flag. They have a good menu, great red sauce, and are quick. Don't order a burrito a little extra spicy though. I made that mistake one night and it took me over an hour to eat... I had to take lots of breaks. Check this place out if you want real taco shop food.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
