I prefer this location over the one in Little Rock. I didn't feel like the atmosphere was nearly as pretentious as the other, so that was a plus as I walked in the door. This time I chose the Santa Fe salad with a "medium" amount of dressing. I'm glad I asked for an extra cup of dressing on the side because the medium amount left the salad very bland. The chicken is not seasoned at ALL, I'm pretty sure it's simply cooked chicken breast that's cut up and thrown into a tub and chilled -- I think I'll stick to the steak salad from here on out. My fiance had the Greek salad, which he also got extra dressing for. It was pretty delicious! Don't get me wrong, I love the concept of having a place with healthy and hearty salads. But if it's going to be marketed as a gourmet salad establishment, put more time and effort into every last morsel - Give it flavor. Make the $10 per salad worth every bite!

We always love eating here! Clean and chill environment. Everything is delicious from the main course, drinks, to dessert! I would highly recommend the garden or BBQ pizza. Salads are always fresh and yummy. I believe it's the southwest salad that I usually pick. LOVE the gelato. Enjoy!

On the plus side, it's casual and it serves beer, a wide variety of contemporary items around the pizza and salad theme, and it looks like a real crowd pleaser. The minus side is that the prices are table-service at a counter-service place, and you might find the food a little rich - a lighter hand with cheese and dressing could suit some better. The wood oven was well-handled. I'll go back. Seems reliable. Dinner was $20.40 for an heirloom tomato pesto pizza (the pesto was a substitute for tomato sauce), $12.50, and a smaller ZaZa salad, $6.

I always enjoyed this place when I lived in Conway. It's nice to be able to choose your own salad options and toppings. Possibly too pricey, but worth it to me for high quality lunch salads. Ordering a small size salad is a better deal, and helps you save room for yummy gelato! Sometimes they offer buy one get one free deals for gelato, so be sure to take advantage of those. I've probably been a dozen times and the pizza and salads were consistently delicious.

You can't go to a better place in Conway to get a pitcher with friends. The atmosphere is great (besides the super loud bright green walls), and it's a fun place to hang out for the night. The pizza is fantastic and different from a lot of other places. The salads are my favorite, so many great options! Karaoke night is always a blast, and super crowded when school is in. This is one of the best places to go drink in Conway, for sure.

This is almost the only place In Conway where I can eat without blowing up my nutritional limits. The salads are worth every penny and are always fresh and use high quality greens instead of crap like most fast food salads that cost almost as much. Great atmosphere, fresh squeezed OJ for the drinks, and amazing pizza which is true Naples style. Unsung hero? The soups! I really love every one i have had. Get the small salad and soup special. The gelato is second to none in adventure and quality. Generally you dont need to tip altho you can and i always do for booze.

I'm a New York girl who is picky about her pizza. The ingredients on the roman pizza were so fresh and good. It was amazing! Their salads were great too. All fresh!

  • Brian W.

Ambience: great. Lots of space, wood oven impressive. Drinks: ordered the Madras and it was great prob due to the fresh OJ. In subsequent research, I think a madras should be more cranberry than OJ and this reversed that. However, it was very tasty. Pizza: look great. Fresh ingredients. Was good but not great. This may be preference thing, but they use cornmeal on the bottom. I think this detracts from the whole crust experience more than I would have thought. Didn't eat salad but the looked great. Would be 4 to 5 stars but the main attraction-pizza- was middle of the road I think due to the one cornmeal factor.

Solid! Service. Atmosphere. Food & drink. And don't forget desert. In house gelato with adventurous flavored. Dine-in/take-out; you'll leave happy. Wood fire pizza and salads made fresh right in front of you. Watch football and eat some wings. ZaZa is very accommodating to many different occasions.

I like this place! Wide open, great lighting, spacious seating, creative menu and friendly staff. It does sit itself somewhat awkwardly between restaurant and cafeteria, but it works. I highly recommend the salads, not only are they delicious, but spectacularly huge!

Always love eating at zaza's. Pizzas are fresh out of the wood fired oven, salads are made to order, and the daily gelato flavors are pretty tasty. Looking for a great place to relax and have good food. Check them out.

ZaZa is a great restaurant in the Hendrix Village. Even though their pizza and salads are great and their bread and butter, I usually get the ZaZa Grinder and finish with Cookies and Creme gelato.

I got a veggie sandwich and my husband got a salad. My husband was completely done with his giamt salad before my sandwich even went in the oven. Went up to ask if they had forgotten about me (15 mins later) and the server says "well do you have a number?" Gave him my number and he checked and they were just putting it in. 4 people working at the oven that looked empty when I went and looked but it took 15mins for a sandwich?? Sandwich was burnt when i got it...2 stars cause my husband liked his salad. Otherwise it'd be less.

Yep, love the ZaZa's. Salads are wonderful and Pizza is top notch.

We love Zaza's. The salad options are endless!! Fresh ingredients always. Grandchildren love the pizzas.

  • Rose A.

We love ZaZa's for the salads. The restaurant has a good space and lots of seating areas. The salads are really nice and good value. The pizza's are good too but nothing special. It's a good place for lunch.

  • Michelle V.

The best thing about ZaZa is the gelato that is made in house (5 stars)!!! Wide selection of salads, but they're pricey. I'm not a fan of pizza baked in wood-fired ovens, but those who are, like theirs.

  • Gianna P.

Cool spot, inside is nicely decorated and spaced out. Pizza was good, a little pricey for the kids pizza but definitely ate it all. Whoever made them didn't really even up the toppings across the whole pizza... Maybe something to consider. The salad was way too expensive for a simple "side salad" and the dressing was meh, but we would come back for some beer and pizza! On the other hand, the bathrooms looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months. The toilets were gross, the floor was gross, and it didn't smell good. I came out and my boyfriend said the men's room was just as awful. They need some attention asap!

I had a pizza with italian sausage and pepperoni and this is how pizza is done. I was not completely blown away but I felt that the crust, sauce, toppings and cheese were well proportioned and adequate. Pizza is one of those things that can be hohum or amazing and this was 75% of the way towards amazing. I didn't have a chance to try the salad bar but it was well stocked with higher end ingredients and made me feel like how I make salad at home. Fresh, high quality ingredients plated simply. On my next trip to AR I'd be happy to eat here again.

I was looking for something a little different for dinner. I noticed ZaZa reviews on Yelp. Sounded good so I gave it a try. I've always been a salad lover and they do salads right! I ordered the supreme pizza and it was delicious also. It had lots of sausage and veggies on it. The thin crust was crunchy and very tasty. I thought it was a little awkward to order and pay for your food, then walk to the bar to order and pay for your drink. I would certainly eat here again.

  • Pam C.

Ok, the food is good, I'll give 'em that. And much fresher than many restaurants in Conway. So I'm not a total hater. My main beef, though is the tiny size of their oven. For a restaurant whose entire menu centers around salad and pizza, you'd think they'd have facilities to really crank out some pizzas. Last time I was here, it took 1 hour and 15 minutes to get my pizza. At one point we inquired about how long it'd be and we were told they were 30 pizzas behind. I think this is a successful restaurant - and I'm glad they are- but I hope they can expand to accommodate the volume of customers they are serving.

  • Jeremey D.

This is definitely a place where the quality of food is extremely high and you get what you pay for but the pizza isn't all. Gelato, drinks, salads and buffalo wings makes this an experience. The green and white - My phenomenal favorite at just $10 (2013) the goat cheese is savory and the onions is not strong but the lemon zest leaves your palate clean and leaves you wanting more. The drinks (on tap) are not near as expensive and the selection is impressive with beer, wine, mimosas and more. Salads are made to order in front of you with an impressive selection of ingredients, decent size and great quality. Pizzas are the high point in both price and quality. The wood fire oven graces thin crust that ensures each pizza comes out differently and supremely crispy. Not too much to eat but as long as you don't just care to only eat a pizza this is a superb place to enjoy yourself.

Stopped in for a quick bite, stayed a bit longer. I wandered in here after an freakin EXHAUSTIVE search for this location. Thanks to the dill weed who works in some office building nearby for listing that as the location of ZaZa on Yelp. The map takes you to this huge office building. No ZaZa, only nerds. Once Google came to the rescue, I was on my way. I ordered up one of the daily special pizzas. Spicy Italian or something like that. Put down a couple cold beers while I was at it too. And here come my gripe with this place..... You walk in and stare at the menu. You order. You pay. You sit. You start drinking your beer. You finish your beer. They bring your pizza. Now WTF do you do? You have to go to the bar and order more beer and pay again. HATE THAT!!!!!! FUUUUUuuuccccccc

    (3)
  • Sha P.

Beware, the regular size salad is more than enough for two people!!! I've tried almost all their salads and a couple of their sandwiches. Everything tastes good. Love love the lemon garlic dressing. Definitely recommend it if you're in Conway.

ZaZa is seriously one of my most favorite places to go in Conway. The food is wonderful and so is the atmosphere. It also doesn't hurt that they were rated the best pizza in Arkansas!

    (5)
  • Ziggy S.

Good tasting pizza, nice local restaurant. They catered to my request for a personal size pizza (although the price was the same as the normal size). It has a young hipster staff, but I assume that's the feel they are going for.

  • Brian S.

Had the Perella pizza and it tasted like something right out of Italy. The sauce is amazing and crust had just the right amount of burnt ends on it. I also got the biscoff and blueberry muffin gelato. The biscoff was my favorite and full of flavor with great texture.

  • Alissa B.

Worth the visit! Friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. They have a pretty large salad bar selection. The pizza wasn't the best I've ever had, but I'm also a very picky eater so I won't hold that against them. Very delicious gelato!

  • Jeremy C.

A reliable favorite. Their ingredients are excellent, their beer selection solid; and their sandwiches and salads good enough to attract lines every day. I eat here weekly and don't see that stopping any time soon.

On our way east, we stopped at ZaZa for lunch. The salad experience was interesting and a little expensive. We didn't realize that each item added to the greens was a extra charge. However the salads were delicious, so the cost was OK to us. Our pizza was excellent also. We had the italian sausage/arugula pizza. After our excellent lunch, we had a chocolate and a mango gelato. They were both terrific! We have the place stowed away in our memory for a return on our next trip east.

If you want Naples style pizza in Arkansas ZaZa's works. I lived outside of Venice for 4 years and in Sicily for one year. Italian pizza is wonderful yet unique. ZaZa's captures the irregular, thin crusted goodness as well as any pizzeria in Arkansas or Northern Virginia where I spent 6 years questing for something that channeled the Italian masterpiece. At ZaZa's I usually get the Atomica with Egg. The Atomica is the bomb. It is true to its harsh roots having anchovies and capers, minimal sauce and cheese. The soft egg on top is a crown. I've had the proscuitto arugula and it is a masterpiece as well. Finally, when it is late, I have had the sublime Margherita. It is wonderful and when you add a glass of Cab you are set. The dough is correct. It has the right consistency, crispness and softness. It taste correct. The Pizza's are roundish and sometimes there are burnt edges but that is the same as in Italy. Again, this is Italian, Naples style pizza channelled to Arkansas. There are two ZaZa's. Both do a great job. Conway's is easier to navigate for groups because it is larger and not swamped with patrons like Little Rocks. Enjoy!

First visit here. Ordered the barbecue chicken pizza and was very pleased with it. The chicken was seasoned very well and the pizza was cooked in a wood fire oven. Came on a Sunday and the place was pretty full and service was quick. I will be back.

LOVE the salads! The veggies are always top notch. I have never had anything wilted or mealy like other restaurant salads. The gelato is always a nice treat. The line can be stressful if there are several people waiting and if you have new people with you who feel rushed to learn the system. Sometimes the salad makers seem annoyed to be making your salad. I would appreciate some kindness for the amount I'm paying. I keep coming back for the food.

I love this restaurant. I have been a fan since the first moment I walked in the door. The restaurant has a very relaxed and open vibe which fits in perfectly with the surrounding Hendrix College neighborhood. It is a lovely place to go eat a nice lunch or dinner for all ages groups. The salads are amazingly good and always put a smile on my face. Also, the pizzas that they serve seem unique and very different from any of the pizza joints that are in town. If you are looking for fast service in a clean atmosphere, tasty food, and friendly workers then you will find it here at Zaza's.

  • Jere J.

Although it took us a few minutes to find, I believe it was worth the search to get there. We tried the green and white pizza and a zaza sandwich. Both were good but it think the sandwich was a little heavy on a vinigary taste from the artichoke hearts, but still good. It's a nice atmosphere, a great beer and other bar selections. I'm sure we'll be back.

  • Laura F.

Very relaxing atmosphere, waiters were very friendly and plesant to talk to. They were very accommodating with the changes I requested for the salad I ordered. There was no wait and the facilities were very clean. Salads were huge, freshly made in front of you and very filling.

The staff is friendly and the food even better. They have gluten free pizza and often carry a non-dairy gelato. The salad bar is the best I've had and the bar is quite extensive.

The wood oven baked pizza is very authentic. The crust reminds me of Vicenza! Got mine to go, but the sandwiches looked delicious.

Talk about amazing. Such a bright spot in the local restaurant mix. Real brick oven pizza and the most amazing salads known to man. The difference is that they actually take PRIDE in the food they serve. I highly recommend it. The gelato is OK. Might send you to Orange Leaf or Dreamy Spoon for dessert.

This three-star rating does not mean "avoid." It means this is a good, reliable restaurant with many great qualities and some delicious unique offerings. It's not my favorite place in Conway and has some flaws, but I'm glad it's here and I'll definitely be back. I've been here several times, the first time for lunch with my parents, who are in their 80s. They found the format a little confusing, with the lines and payment more complicated than they were expecting, but they liked their food. I had my usual pizza: feta, potato and rosemary, and it was great. My mother had a salad, and really enjoyed it. More recently I stopped in for gelato two nights in a row when I was on the green at The Village to enjoy the outdoor Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre performances. I was disappointed that they didn't have pistachio either night, but the limoncello flavor was absolutely delicious and light and cool for such hot summer nights. Today, I called in an order for my favorite pizza for pick up. The service was a little spotty at first, but when they realized why I was there, they were friendly and let me know how long my order would take, and the take-away pizza was just as good as the dine-in, of course! My husband doesn't like ZaZa because he doesn't care for their style of pizza and he doesn't like the loud environment, though the Conway space is MUCH larger and more comfortable than the Little Rock site, so it's difficult to get him to join me here. While I was waiting for my to-go order today, i noticed all the great weekly specials on their board, such as $4 margaritas, etc. I would like to try ZaZa for a girlfriends cocktails night and see how that goes. I know I'll be back!

Great wings and great beer prices. Certainly one of my favorite places to stop by for a quick lunch. Food is fresh and they at least try to keep it healthy.

I'm a big salad fan and I was excited to try this place. I've only been twice, but both times have been great! I've tried two kinds of pizzas, the green and white and the Italian sausage, and both were great! My favorite was the salads though. Both times I have gotten the chicken ceaser and it was really good. They give you huge portions of salad. My favorite part about these salads are the croutons. They are really good. Whenever I crave a salad, this is where I'm going!

ZaZa is a consistently good restaurant. Their salads and boneless buffalo wings are always good. They have great service and are always friendly.

I was concerned because most of the reviews are about the salad and I wanted the pizza. I had the Combo Pizza, it was fantastic. I'd recommend this place in a second.

Great gelato, good beer, great pizza, good service. This was a great restaurant for before and after the Arkansas Shakespeare Festival production I saw. It performed right on the lawn in front of ZaZa and it was refreshing to enjoy a beer here and cool off while waiting for the show to start.

I love Zaza's! Went there on a Friday night, it wasn't too crowded, and the drink specials were awesome. $6 pitchers of Bud Light and Blue Moon after 9pm can't get any better! Tried the Green and White pizza and was very pleased, although they're a little on the expensive side.

Fun casual. Great salads and wood fired pizzas. Has bar and great gelato.

One of the best pizza crust I have ever had, and the cheese was delicious though a little sparse. The salad options were very good, the portions were good and the ingredients were fresh. Build you own salad pricing was a bit confusing. Very family friendly. I am sorry we did not get to try the gelato.

i am so happy this place is in conway now. the pizza is even better than in little rock, and it looks like it is twice as big too. the daily specials on the weekends are fantastic. FRESH LIME JUICE MARGARITAS FOR $4!
