Great sushi, hearty filling stir fried udon (chicken, beef, shrimp, or veggie) Family operated The food did not disappoint ! Fresh, good presentation. I travel for work extensively and finding local gems with great food is key to keeping it enjoyable. Wasabi is definitely a gem. How to make it a 5 star!! Loose the window coverings, change the outdated music to something that's more youthful & vibrant (sorry - loose the Christmas lights on the windows) Let people see what's happening in the restaurant, would like to see sushi prep be more visible to sushi counter diners, and the young guys upfront letting more of their personality out to engage patrons. I will be back!

Staff was very kind, knowledgeable and courteous. Calming music and nice decor. Our rolls were very good and well presented. Definitely more roll for your $$ compared to other sushi places. My war eagle roll was only $13 and it was almost TWICE the size as the roll I normally get at rock and roll sushi. We'll be back!

Definitely in a strange location, but the sushi is amazing! Had four different roll and all were very tasty - Titanic roll, B52 roll, Mobile roll, and the War Eagle roll. The Mobile had both raw tuna and salmon and tasted very fresh and clean. It's in a weird location, and doesn't look like a sushi restaurant, but it has some of the best sushi.

Great find! Very high quality ingredients, fast, helpful staff, delicious food. I had the Seafood Hot & Sour Soup (shrimp, scallops, mushroom and tofu in hot & sour broth, $5) and the Naruto Roll (tuna, salmon, yellowtail, crab & avocado wrap w/ cucumber $11) for lunch. Both were perfectly, and quickly prepared with beautifully fresh and tasty ingredients. I'm looking forward to going back and trying a few other rolls that caught my eye.

Good sushi and a good atmosphere that is very relaxing and there is a good amount of sushi on each plate. Only problem I have is that when I spend 20$ on sushi for me and a date I expect to be blown away by said sushi. Don't get me wrong it was good but it wasn't great.

Great little sushi bar in our neighborhood. Fresh fish and great appetizers. I enjoy the Ramen Soup, but it requires a little spicing up. The service is good. The restaurant and bathrooms are very clean. I make this a regular stop every week.

Excellent sushi. Period. Large slices of sashimi, very fresh. I had uni as well, mind-blowingly fresh and smooth. A big plate of good sushi and a cold sake, doesn't get much better.

This is an unassuming place in a strip mall. To me, a lot of strip mall restaurants lack in ambience, which stood true for this restaurant. Very plain decor. However, fortunately this did not affect the menu or food. The menu was quite varied having multiple delicious appetizers, sushi, noodles and many rice options. Also being a vegetarian, sometimes options are limited in restaurants, including Asian restaurants but this was not the case here. I had the Goyza vegetable appetizer and vegetable sushi, it had a lot of flavor and was very good. My friend had an Avacado salad and sushi, which she also stated was very good.

I LOVE wasabi!!! I love every roll I've tried but my all time favorite is the Roll Tide roll! You truly cannot go wrong with anything on the menu! Staff is very courteous, extremely helpful and the quality of the food is impeccable!! If you haven't tried wasabi, you really need to!!!

So, the last time I had sushi in Mobile, it was downtown and pretty bad. Thanks my brother in law's suggestion, we went here for sushi. Wasabi is a hidden gem in Mobile. How can such a great sushi place be in such a weird location? It's located by a service road and a Babies R Us. I would have never thought to look there for it. For our sushi, we ordered a few rolls. I got the Titanic, Crawfish, and a spicy tuna roll. The Titanic roll was by far the best with panko shrimp and panko crumbs. I guess I can't remember the other rolls because we ate and enjoyed them. The sushi has to be the best sushi I've had in Mobile. The rolls are tasty and inventive while the staff is great. The restaurant itself resembles other sushi joints typical to bigger cities with modern furniture and a sushi bar. It almost feels out of place to Mobile because it's a sushi restaurant you'd expect in other cities. Despite the weird location, this is where I plan to return to for sushi in Mobile.

This place had really decent sushi. I would eat it again. We also ate the ramen. This is probably the only place in Mobile that serves Ramen; if you're used to authentic Ramen you might be a little bit disappointed but it's not bad. It just lacks a little flavor.

Best sushi in town! Always quality ingredients. I regularly get takeout from here and have never been disappointed. If you haven't tried this restaurant then you are missing out! The ocean salad is one of my favorites.

Sushi is all about the rice and this is the only place in mobile that consistently does it right. Also they recently added Hamachi Kama (collar) to the menu. Best. Sushi. In Mobile.

Great sushi, must try the ocean salad! Sit and bar grab a beer and have a roll or 3. Great selection and amazing daily specials. My go to when in the area for sushi.

I got a veggie noodle bowl and the husband got terriaki chicken and a tuna roll. The food was really bland, but not bad. Is it normal to put iceburg lettuce in soup? The server was rude and unfriendly. I doubt we'd ever come back.

Wowzers!!! Hands down the best sushi in Mobile. First time here....certainly won't be our last!!

We like this place. The prices are high but the quality of the rolls is high, too. I've liked everything I've gotten here. The ramen was a little strange with wilted lettuce in the soup. The service is prompt and polite. There are some specials in the back of the menu that I like to pick from.

This is far from good. They sliced my sushi into thin pieces. Fish was not fresh. Miso soup bland. Salad dressing was tasty. Chicken teriyaki was not very good. Inside was real quiet, and could hear conversations. Who am I kidding, it's Mobile, Alabama! Won't find excellence in sushi here. Please learn how to slice sushi.

I'm pretty sure this place opened last fall, so it's relatively new and still coming into its own. It's small; has a sushi bar, a few group tables and several couple tables. There's a big tv above the sushi bar. It's location has its pros and cons; its convenient in that it's right there on Airport and I-65. However, it's tucked into this teeny tiny strip center across from Babies R Us. So you most likely aren't going to stumble across it and really have to hunt it down the first time. I'm concerned that their location may be the death of them. Service is friendly enough; I've eaten there as a couple and dined solo, both times have been fine. The sushi menu is pretty standard, though I haven't tried every last thing on the menu. The last time I ate there was right before the holidays, and they had some pretty good specials going on. The presentation of the rolls themselves is a little sloppy, but they are tasty nonetheless. I have noticed that the miso soup always comes out a little odd, sometimes cold or bland. As far as the decor, its elegant Japanese. However, I think if they built booths along the wall instead of the contemporary tables, would go a long way for the comfort of the patrons. Overall, not my favorite sushi place, but will get the job done to get your sushi fix. Pros: Reasonably priced, new, tasty rolls Cons: Weird location, sloppy rolls, could use some booths

The ginger dressing on their salads is delicious. Sushi was made quickly and was really good. Store is small and quiet. They're renovating the exterior right now so it was kind of tough to find but worth it.

Absolutely delicious! I ordered the tuna tataki appetizer and shrimp ramen soup. Best ramen I've ever tasted, nothing was overcooked. My husband ordered 2 special rolls that were both outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant.

A friend took me here for a birthday lunch. Has a small but pleasant dinning area and the staff was wonderful! I had the salmon skin roll and eel with avocado roll which were both excellent. My friend had a vegetable roll and spicy shrimp...they were a little bland. Wish I was able to try the sashimi but I'm pregnant. :( Will be back!

I went there for lunch and had two rolls. Service was good. Food was tasty. It took a bit longer than I expected, but not a big deal.
