Terrible service!!! Ordered drinks which never came. Water glasses empty. Food very average. NOT worth the price. AND if you use a credit card to tip you have to write I the tip before they take your card. Needless to say based on the poor service in a very emtpy reataurant the tip was barely 10% and that was being generous. Stay away.

We've ordered pizza from the pizzeria side of this establishment ever since moving to S. Anchorage three years ago. Tonight, I wanted calzone and we stopped in to the restaurant side and were very pleasantly surprised! The service was exceptional, and they made a fine gin and tonic too. My wife's wild mushroom ravioli were fantastic and I had an Americano calzone which was great. It wasn't overloaded with marinara inside, and there was a little marinara on the side for dipping. I had Greek coffee for desert, and that was great too! Overall, I regret overlooking the dining room here for so long, but we'll be back!

This restaurant is a gem! Great food, great service! Before coming here, I had all but given up hope that there were any decent places to eat in this town. My husband had the chicken Alfredo and the sauce was perfect! I had the canneloni alla rosini and it was very good also. We will definitely be returning :)

Delicious!!! Went for a Valentine's dinner date and received great service, great food, and was a great experience. Everyone was very polite, the place was clean, our glasses were always full and left feeling very satisfied.

First thing I would like to say is the service was amazing! We ordered the food as a carry out while we waited there and they sat us down at a table and offered us a drink. They have a little carry out and liquor store connected to the main restaurant that you can order your food and buy a 6 pack to wash it down with as well. Love the feeling of a family owned and ran establishment. They all take great pride in ensuring your experience is a pleasant one and food was great too. Definitely going back with some friends.

Ekmek was really great, the special was an excellent filet mingion, and a seafood pasta, who's name was very long, but also delicious! Service was wonderful, and the space was peaceful.

There's something to be said for the warmth of a cozy, family-owned neighborhood restaurant like Little Italy, the kind of spot where you can find hearty portions of soulful comfort food, prepared with care by the owner and served by an attentive staff. Little Italy has been filling that role by crafting traditional - and a few non-traditional - Greek and Italian dishes for 30 years. This is a place to go to enjoy the types of food that you might be too intimidated to try cooking at home. For me, that means diving into a large appetizer of spanakopita made with fresh sautéed spinach dotted with tangy feta, seasoned with herbs and onions, then wrapped in a blanket of flaky phyllo and baked until golden brown. Moussaka is another one of my go-to Greek dishes when dining out - one that I love to eat, but usually don't have time to make at home. The version served at Little Italy uses seasoned beef rather than the more traditional ground lamb, but it still packs lots of flavor into the delicately spiced eggplant and gently baked béchamel-topped casserole. Don't dine at Little Italy if you're the sort of person who insists on having all of your restaurant dishes plated with tweezers so they're picture perfect every time. But if you enjoy quite ample portions of rustic, home-style Greek and Italian dishes, then Little Italy Restaurante definitely has you covered.

My wife & I love this restaurant. In fact it's the only place we eat at when we're in town. Last night we had the eggplant Parmesan. It was the best I ever had & I'm an Italian boy from providence ri. The server is a very serious man who is a total pro. I really like this guy. He's been there 10 years & works really hard. My wife loves their tiramisu. She rates it the best she ever had. Prices are reasonable but they only taker AMEX, cash & checks.

If you're looking for authentic Greek and Italian food look no further. This family owned and operated restaurant will satisfy your every craving. Excellent wine, wonderful food, and a delightful atmosphere. This is both my and my wife's favorite place to go for a romantic dinner. It has been in Anchorage for a long time and fills a food niche that cannot be found anywhere else in the city. The family that runs the place are wonderful, and take pride in their work. The only issue I ran into involved the use of my credit card a few years ago. unfortunately the computer tech guy they hired to set up their credit card system was a criminal of some kind. Unbeknownst to the owners, he set up the system to send credit card numbers to his friend on the east coast. I had my card number stolen this way. This issue has long since been remedied, and APD investigated and arrested the man responsible. Now Little Italy provides a no fee atm, but still does not accept visa or master card. I think they take American express still. This issue was not the fault of the business owners, and has not deterred me from eating there repeatedly in recent months.

I went with a large party (9 people) so we tried a little of everything. Flaming cheese appetizer, pita chips & dip, calamari... all Delish!! Our orders ranged from pizza, salads, chicken parmesan and some other Italian dishes that I cannot identify. Everyone was stuffed and happy with great food. The waiter was helpful and answered all the questions he could (we had a few picky eaters) and those he couldn't he found the answers to. And the desserts, oh my! Just divine. My only complaint is the time it took to receive our food, it seemed to be quite a while. Though the good company kept me from looking at my watch. Little slow, but delicious!

Let me start of by saying, I work in a restaurant. Okay, now for the review. I had the lasagna, the hubby had some sort of seafood marinara dish and both were really good. Honestly, the best Italian food I've had in Anchorage. All the entrees come with soup/salad and garlic bread. I wish we would have known this as we started off with a garlic bread appetizer and just had too much bread on the table. Hubby loved his chicken lemon ricey soup. The tiramisu desert was perfect! Portion sizes were big enough for us to have lunch left-overs. Dinner cost us $60 for two entrees, garlic bread, two iced teas and dessert. I suppose that's about average anywhere you go. The service was nothing short of awful. I left a 20% tip, because it looked like there were only two servers on the floor, BUT only for that reason. I felt sorry for the girl running around like a chicken with her head cut off, and it's totally not her fault that she was being overworked. She never checked back in on us, the food runner refilled our beverages and the busser packed up our food. We will go back for take-out, but chances are we will NEVER dine in again, unless I find out the managers have hired more employees.

Really enjoied taking the girl here right after moving to Anchorage last winter. It was a nice cozy date and the food was great. 4 stars only because of price. Meal and wine close to 100$ for two although I'm sure you could do it for much less!!! Right next door to 88th st pizza!!

This was the first Italian restaurant my (now) husband and I went to upon our arrival in Anchorage in '04. It was very spendy, and not very tasty. The atmosphere is, umm, well... there is no atmosphere. We decided to try again - I thought maybe I was not giving them a fair shake. It seems everything in AK was more expensive, so maybe my initial impression was mistaken. We ordered. The food was nothing special - I would go as far as to say very, very boring, but expensive. The service was terrible. When we got our check, it was even more than the menu listed (which was too high, anyway). I asked the waitress, and she said they had upped their prices, but it wasn't reflected on the menu yet. She made a big deal of "going to the manager" to give us the price that was listed. Gee, thanks. Terrible service. I would have more enjoyed mac n cheese at home with some parmesan cheese - just because there are noodles doesn't make it Italian. And the atmosphere was non-existent. I will never return - NEVER. I wish you could give zero stars.

The bus boy was very cute and very awkward. Based on the way he treated me, I don't think he'd every seen a table-for-one in his entire life. Like my time spent in Texas, I began to realize that vegetarians were not very well respected or appreciated in this state, as evidenced by the fact that there were slices of pepperoni in my salad. My meal tasted like something I would have made... and that is definitely not a compliment. Why do you think I eat out so often?

Better than expected but not a favorite. Italian food, traditionally, is lots of pasta and cheese sprinkled with some variety of meat and that seemed to be standard fare. The lamb was interesting but tasty. Meatballs fairly standard. Plenty of cheese. One favorite: Flaming cheese with pita (appetizer). Very fun dish and tasty. Everyone (8 total) enjoyed apps and meals. That says enough to give it a better grade than average.

A great Italian restaurant in an area underpopulated by nice sit down dressy places. In terms of fare, it's old school Italian with great spaghetti, calamari, pizza and veal.

Someone from the restaurant contacted me and told me that the particular waitress is gone and the period in which I went there was when management was on vacation. I appreciate the tag back, but since I no longer live in AK, I am unable to verify if the conditions have indeed improved. I will say that my family did eat there many times and we never had a problem before the May 2008 visit. I therefore upgrade my rating.

I used to get the Mama Mia Greek pizza at little Italy with a Greek salad. When The Little Italy side is not yet open, I order from 84th street pizza, the store thru the door from LI. Today the Greek Pizza did not have sausage nor pepperoni and the salad did not have pepperoni or dolmades. Very disappointing. Plus, when will they accept VISA or Mastercharge again?
