Seriously worth checking out. At first glance it seems like it's nothing special, but once you go inside it totally surprised me. The restaurant has beautiful decor and a very friendly staff. The food was excellent and I will definitely be going back. The egg flower soup is awesome!

I have not tried everything on the menu but have enjoyed what I ordered, their is a vast variety and the atmosphere is laidback and can accomodate large groups. I love the soups, Egg Flower, Hot and Sour, Spicy Noodle......their lunch specials are delicious, their Breaded Almond Chicken is the best in the world, 4 real. A little known dining secret that I've picked up over the years is check out the other tables and clients, it is a good sign if there are Asians eating at an Asian rest., and so forth.

I may come off as a little biased since I have been eating here since I was little. It's always the usual for Koreans: jjajangmyun (black bean noodles), champong (spicy seafood soup noodles), tangsuyook (sweet & sour beef), and kkangpoonggi (spicy garlic chicken). I remember their food being good, but I will only write a review based on their jjajangmyun and kkangpoonggi since I had that yesterday. Jjajangmyun - good. I like their noodles. Thick and has a nice chewy consistence without it being too chewy. The black bean sauce is also very good. I don't know if it's because I'm so used to the jjajangmyun here, but I am never completely satisfied when eating jjajangmyun in California (except this one place in norcal). I am always comparing it to the jjajangmyun in Alaska. Kkangpoonggi - fried crispy chicken pieces slathered in spicy garlic sauce. I love this, and will only order it in Alaska. For some odd reasons, ones in California is completely different. One disappointment about this dish is that the chicken pieces are so dinky. There isn't enough meat!!! I say that there isn't enough meat because I was able to finish the whole dish myself with some jjajangmyun and rice. Overall, food is good and the owner (lady) is nice.

This was probably the worst Chinese I have ever had. It is the example of why it took me 20 years until I agreed to even try Chinese food. The meat was unidentifiable and I have never felt worse after eating food. It was a delivery order, but I don't think that makes a difference! Egg rolls were soft and soggy and the fried dumplings were....not even able to describe them. Do not eat here!!! The frozen stuff at carrs is better! (Husband and friend who were over agree!)

This was a horrible eat in experience. First we waited at the front door a good 5 minutes waiting to be seated mind you there's only one other couple already in there. Then we get seated get our waters. We wait for the waitress to come back about 15 minutes later she never shows up to take our orders. Another couple come in and she seat em down brings them they waters and ask if they ready to order. What type of bullshit is that while we've been just waiting patiently. So we left. It was a shame too cause we had orders take of from Them before and really liked it. Too bad the eat I'm experience didn't go so well.

Okay, I have to couch this review by clarifying that I know the owners of the restaurant. Pretty well. Nevertheless, I've yet to hear a negative comment about the food from any non-friend of the owner. That being said, I'm going to continue in my review. Imperial Palace brings back so many childhood memories of great food. I've tried just about everything there, and have yet to be disappointed. My favorite is the chajangmyung (yes, I've seen it spelled about a billion ways, so don't go criticizing my spelling efforts) which is also translated as the black bean soup. It really isn't as much soup as it is a bunch of noodles with a thick, black sauce of seafood, meat and veggies. Amazing. All of the more usual entrees are there and just as delicious. When we go as a group, we tend to go nuts and order about 5 different entrees and just swap them around. That's the best way to go. The place burned down a few years ago and they just re-opened this summer. I haven't been back since they re-opened the doors, but the rest of my family has and they tell me it is the same great quality as before. I only hope that they still have the little pond with live fish swimming around to keep the kids happy while I enjoy my food. :)

I used to go here for the mongolian beef cause it was soooo good! Ordered from here last year and found the dish to be so so. They must have changed cooks or something. What a downer.

Came into town from Vegas tonight looking for some delivery. Found the menu at the front desk of the Fairfield Inn on A St. Delivery was quick, but the delivery man pretty much ran away after I signed the check. Here is why...my order was far from good. I never even got my won-ton soup. I would never call this place and tell them they forgot my soup...please re-deliver. Would you trust the re-delivered product? The egg rolls were burned at the end. How do you even do that? My fried rice filled me up...and that's sad. I ate the mediocre rice just so I did not have to eat too much of the sweet and sour chicken. It was all deep fried dark meat left-overs. The pepper steak was worse than what Panda Express can offer. This was a sad dinner that had no effort put into it. I would eat a frozen dinner from the hotel lobby next time instead of this. Pathetic food, and I could not ever imagine coming back. Ouch, my worst meal on the road this year.
