Always good bar food. Great beer on tap. Friendly staff, fast service.

We have been to Pony Bar and Grill several times when visiting Sheridan. Sheridan is light on good restaurants so Pony Bar & Grill is a favorite. Service can be spotty. We actually were there last night and today for lunch (rodeo weekend). We sat at the bar and both times were ignored. I noticed no one even acknowledged us and said be right there. It wasn't even busy. The food is good so that's why we keep coming back. So that's why it gets 3 stars.

Where I'm from, The Pony is a strip club. So all I can think about when I'm here is how much classier it is than Mississippi's version... Good enough bar food & always a good place to drink & watch a game.

Found in Yelp while stranded in Sheridan with a car problem. Great burger and service. May go back again this year.

Love their chicken strip salad. Huge portion that is a meal by itself. Fresh baked bread on the side. Also have great seasoned French fries. The rest of the food is pretty good too. Definitely a bar setting as it is always extremely noisy in there. Not a good place to have a family dinner or go on a first date.

If not for the lady in the red skirt: Food, not the best. I got the brisket minus the Monterey Jack cheese. Half of the meat was really tough and came out with each bite taken. Yet there were so many yummy pieces that melted in my mouth. Seems they took the left over and added fresh but I would recommend against that because this sandwich could have been wonderful. I asked for my onion rings to be crispy, they weren't as dark as I prefer but seemed crispy; unfortunately there were only 6 rings and 3 of which the entire onion came out of the breading:-( the local brown beer on tap was decent but not anything halfway spectacular; I only drank half. One of the three bartenders was callous and a bit rude in nature but the girl in the red skirt with a flower in her hair and sweet tattoo on left shoulder stood out. Without that awesome sweet young lady, who could give and take jokes like other; this place was a 1.5.

Ok food. Great western vibe. Service is slow and inattentive if you are there a while. Even though they have 10 televisions with major games on they play horrible music over speakers that does not fit the establishment.

Love the food! The reason for the 1 star is the horrible wait staff. Rude, and poorly dressed. Listen it's fine that you dress to make money by flirting, what's not fine is a middle aged woman dressing like a skank. We couldn't stand looking at the waitress because Every time she was near we thought she was going to pop out if her top. Dress your age!!!!! Especially since this place is suppose to be kid friendly during the day. Have more respect for yourself and your patrons.

While on a cross country trek. We stopped here on a whim, based on Yelp reviews. It did not disappoint! My husband had a southwest style salad that was HUGE, fresh, and delicious. He is a big eater and did not finish it all. I ordered a ribeye steak. (Yes, we order completely opposite!) It was tender, cooked perfectly, and came with loaded mashed potatoes that tasted homemade. Service was excellent, with drink refills and even to go cups as we left. I don't know if we will be back in this area again, but if we do, I know where we will be having dinner!

I just moved to Sheridan. I've lived her just four weeks and found the Pony about two weeks ago. I've been about 6 times already. I really like the staff and the food. Cheers friends!

The food here is always reliably good. This is one of the only "go to" place in Sheridan where you always get awesome friendly service and quality food for a fair price.

Another place with sketchy service since all the waitresses share in getting the food and drink to your table. Typical pub fare. Nothing outstanding or original about any of it. The whole place feels a little greasy because it's so small. Very off putting to see the cooks lingering outside, smoking. The patio can be fun on a warm evening. Another venue where you want to to get hammered first then eat.

This is definitely the favorite among locals and college students in Sheridan. Good atmosphere and friendly service. Patio seating in the summer is nice. The food is above average for bar food and they have a big selection of both food and beer.

Totally good/fine and reliable mid-priced lunch and dinner. Reasonably nice waitstaff, although owner has never, i mean never, said hello. Strange. Casual, comfortable atmosphere and good patio. Since it's one of the very few casual dining options downtown I'll visit again. For another inexpensive lunch or dinner destination try Java Moon for lunch or Oliva's for lunch or dinner.

The Pony used to be the spot in Sheridan. Anymore, it is just an average sports grill. I once went in with family, at about 8 pm on a Saturday. The Pony was somewhat busy, but there were still some open tables to be had. We all three promptly ordered an appetizer and hamburgers off the menu at about 8:10 pm. When 9 pm rolled around, and neither our appetizer nor our food was presented, and after several checks with servers, the shift manager came out and rather than apologize to a paying customer, offer some sort of compensation (free drink, free dessert, etc.), proceeded to lie to me about when the food was ordered, and when attention called to said lie, proceeded to argue with me about just when it was ordered, claiming that we just ordered not more than 15 minutes prior to her coming and speaking to us. Our appetizer appeared 15 minutes later, a full hour after ordering, and meals appeared shortly thereafter. Needless to say, no tip was left, and if it were up to me, no payment would have been left either. I have returned several times since, and haven't had many issues. Food is consistently average. Nothing here you wouldn't find at any other sports grill, and is still a decent place for a burger and a beer, but the tag-team service approach is extremely lacking. Staff is not trained in menu items, and there is absolutely no leadership structure in place among service staff, causing a lot of the restaurants' service related issues. Some training would solve these problems immediately. The atmosphere is great, the food is average to good, and the location is good. If it wasn't for the mediocre to poor service, this place would get a much higher rating from me. Still, worth a try if you want a good burger and a beer to go with.

Excellent food all around. The sweet potatoe fries are great as is their buffalo sauce. Service was only average, long wait for food.

Had a stiff well priced drink here. Good selection. Others at the table had desserts that looked good. Has a patio for when the weather allows. Easy parking (typical for the town). When I walked in late to meet the bachelorette group, I was told "look for somebody skinny roaming the floor. wave her down, she's probably a waitress."

Good spot. Food is well prepared, it's even possible to eat healthy with a little effort which is an exception in Wyoming cuisine. Prices seem about average to high for bar/grill, pleasant atmosphere, friendly and caring staff.
