After a terrible dinner at Village Inn in Gillette, WY, it was AWESOME to be so pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, service and food at Flagstaff cafe. I ordered an omelet with ham, tomato, green pepper, onion and cheddar. My man ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito. The flavors were just outstanding. I'm still thinking about the tangy, sweetness of the tomato. Highly recommend and will absolutely return next time we pass through Sheridan. They have an espresso bar, too!

I have had a few meals at meals at po news, never a good one. The kitchen must be filthy to produce food that all tastes like a grease ball. I've also just heard that mark demple is the new manager?? This guy is an insurance salesman, a bad one. He is used to ripping people off, no wonder it's such a terrible place!!! Smoke shop/ kitchen, bad combination...

After reading the positive Yelp reviews, this place was a major disappointment. We stopped in for what we hoped would be a quick bite, but it took almost an hour to get four sandwiches. Our waitress seemed only mildly troubled by this; she checked in with the kitchen and said, "They're cutting your sandwiches right now," and then another 10 minutes went by. Food FINALLY arrived, and the sandwiches were mediocre. As I ate, I couldn't help but see someone from the kitchen scraping the last runny remnants of a giant jar of mayonnaise into the new jar, and I completely lost my appetite. Couldn't wait to get out of there and will certainly never return.

Cool spot for a quick lunch. Service is on par. Casual food. Casual vibe. I love this spot. I opted for a sandwich and chips and was not let down. It hit the spot before a day exploring in Sheridan. They also have fantastic coffee that you can grab to go. Or- if you want they have cigars. Coffee, cigars and sandwiches. Can anything beat it?

Love this place ! Great Vanilla Latte- made with love. Great breakfast and lunch! Love the feeling of being in an olden day store- complete with a smoke shop style glass counter. Friendly staff- Gotta Love Wyoming. A definite stop to make !!

Eat breakfast with the locals! A good, old fashion breakfast place with good coffee and all the basics. Enter thru the smoke shop on N Main Street. Come early or expect to wait for a table. Service is friendly but the tiny kitchen is slow. I ordered the breakfast sandwich which arrived piping hot with lots of melted cheese. My husband ordered the corned beef hash which was lots of large thin slices of corned beef, hash browns and eggs on the side. The jelly/jam selection for the toast was excellent, including blackberry and orange marmalade. After breakfast they brought complimentary fresh-baked pumpkin cookies by the table. The Flagstaff Cafe was everything we were looking for in a breakfast to fortify us on a road trip.

Very friendly staff. The food is good...not a fancy or "yuppie" restaurant, but vey nice and enjoyable. They also have a good selection of cigars. Moderately healthy menu options.

While on a cross-country road trip, we stopped in Sheridan for lunch and found the Flagstaff Cafe. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had a gluten-free menu. Our food was great. The gluten-free pancake I ordered was amazing- couldn't even tell it was GF! Our server was friendly and prompt. Wish this place was in my hometown, as I'd definitely go back for the pancakes!

The food was excellent! And so was the mocha. This place has a very interesting vibe and there was a lot to look at around us while we ate. Our waitress was very nice and helpful with both food and cigar recommendations. Would definitely return to this fun dining spot!

Great little joint! The BEST Latte ever, breakfast was very reasonably priced & good sized tasty portions. The great service you would expect from a little local Wyoming diner!

We eat here fairly often and always have a good meal. Try the lunch specials. Meatloaf on Monday is always good. Had the coconut cream pie for desert today (excellent). And try an Italian soda, my wife had the cherry italian soda today and it was great. Burgers are always good too. If you are looking for good food and a nice friendly place to eat in Sheridan, WY this is it.

I love flag staff! I'm a local and this place is just so fun! The menu has a lot of options they have gluten free options as well. I think this place is very unique and priced very fairly. I highly recommend the flagstaff Philly!

I was in Sheridan for business and needed a bite to eat that wasn't fast food and wasn't some fancy place. I was looking for reasonably priced, simple, tasty food. I happened to drive by the PO News & Flagstaff Cafe and notice the "free wifi" sign in the window, so Idecided to check it out. When I first walked in, I thought I'd made a mistake, because the front of the place looks like a tobacco store. You can buy fancy tobacco, cigars, etc there. (Also chocolate chip cookies. Unclear why, but I always support the sale of chocolate chip cookies, even in random locations.) But through the PO News part is the Flagstaff cafe. It's a seat-yourself kind of a place that has a family-run feel to it. There isn't a huge quantity of seating (maybe for 20 or so), but the place was pretty full. Folks were finishing up a late breakfast as we sat down to lunch. We looked pretty out of place in our suits; most of the other folks looked like locals. The waitress came quickly and asked what we wanted to drink. One of the options on the menu was "swamp water," which turned out to be iced tea and lemonade. I got a BLT with avocado, choosing house-made miso soup on the side. My colleague got a patty melt with potato salad. Both were good. The bill came to just over $20, and we were in and out in about 45 minutes or less. Mission quick/tasty/cheap lunch: Success!
