Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Only reason we did not rate this 5 stars: the delivered pizza was "warmish" not "hottish". However it was very good. We ordered the Grand Avenue. It was great to get the choice of a thin whole wheat crust in place of a thick white crust. They even delivered to our RV at the local KOA RV park. The jalapeños were spicey hot, which pleased us Texans, and combined with the pepperoni, Italian sausage, and pineapple bits, it was very tasty. Will order again the next time we come to Laramie.

My usual Pizza place, but seems like the quality has decreased over the last year. I have had AWESOME pizza from them and its the first place that comes to everyone's mind when you say pizza in Laramie. Lunch buffet was good, the service has always been great and they served promptly. Very cheerful staff. As for the food it has not tasted the same to me recollection from my last two visits in the same week. The pasta is normal. The pizza on the buffet is cold. They did not seem to refill them quickly. I waited 10 mins and then left before they could have the thai-pizza out. The person at the counter told me he has one in the oven and would get me couple slices on a to-go box. I politely refused, to come back in two days for another lunch buffet. For the service they has always been great but for the taste they have to get back where they were. Always be my favorite pizza place in town.

Have eaten here before but this time our experience was not great. We were seated quickly in their "banquet" area. Our server asked for our drink order and brought our drinks then we ordered our meal. We waited....Approximately 20 minutes after our arrival another group arrived. They too were seated, ordered etc. We continued to wait. Our salad and soup were brought to the table. We waited.....The group that had arrived after us received their pizza. We still had not received our entrée. We waited. The waitress came over and I asked her why we had not gotten our pizza yet. She said an "emergency pizza delivery" had interrupted our order but it should be out any minute. We waited.... the other table received another pizza. We had been here an hour and some change. Our children were hungry and now restless. Another group arrived and were seated. Their drink order was taken. Our pizza finally arrived. Pizza was hot, crust was cooked but the cheese was just barely melted looking. Our other entree we ordered was dry. It looked like it had spent about 30 minutes under the heat lamps. The group that had arrived an hour after us received their food 10 minutes after we received our food. This was needless to say not only a disappointment but the 10% discount we received was not enough to justify the length of time we waited for food that wasn't stellar. The waitress was more interested in chatting with the group that came 20 minutes after us and received two pizzas before we had received our food (they were personal friends). I didn't know that there was such a thing as a pizza delivery emergency. But if I had to rely on Grand Avenue Pizza to save my life I am not sure I would wait.....

Went yesterday for the $6.99 lunch buffet. We had to wait about 5 minutes to get a table; not too bad at about 12:30. We did notice on the way to the table that there was only about 2 pieces of pizza on the warming table. The service was prompt; she took our orders and brought us water. She said "Go ahead and start with the buffet; there is pasta, garlic bread and pizza." Uh, there was no pizza on the buffet nor was there any garlic bread. She said pizza would be coming pretty soon. There was a table with 3 or 4 teenage boys. As soon as one, yes one, pizza appeared, they made a mad dash to the buffet and scarfed it up. Several times. It seems that if you are having an all you can eat pizza, pasta buffet, you don't set one pizza up there every ten minutes. We ended up spending more time there that we wanted simply waiting on pizza. I did get one piece of garlic bread! The reason for two stars instead of one is because the pizza was exceptional, as always. They need to review their procedures and have 3 or 4 pizzas all the time on the buffet. Better planning.

OK so we go here a few times a month and food is always good. Went yesterday for buffet and experience was less then great, I simply asked if they would have a pepperoni coming out and overheard one of the cooks say if they wanted one they shouldn't of come to a buffet and just ordered one" come on pepperoni is a mainstay of pizza". He also said it so loud we heard him from kitchen and sounded very rude. Come on customer service is a huge thing. Don't know if we will be going back for awhile and my friends will definitely hear about this.

Received very poor customer service via phone. Tried to order delivery is all. She was rude from the get go. There was an hour and a half wait, understandable, Since the wait was so long I asked if I could get the special and pick it up instead. I got a "NOPE" and then silence. Surely if I can understand why the waits so long, you could understand the we don't want to eat at 9:00pm. And if the answer is strictly no, there are much nicer ways to express that. Disappointed, customer service is a lost art some days. I didn't even order food....and she was just fine with losing the money. Had she handled the scenario more appropriately I would have adjusted my order.

Tuesday date night 2 for $20 is a great deal. One appetizer, two entrees, and one dessert. Minor point of contention: when ordering "buffalo chicken pizza" do not make the assumption that it will contain buffalo sauce, but something along the lines of old bay seasoning. I blame myself for ordering some newfangled pizza instead of a standby.

Went for dinner on July 25, 2015. When we ordered the waiter asked us if we wanted the couples special, which included the appetizer, entree and dessert for $20.00 so we said yes.. The appetizer of a vegetable quesadilla was not bad. My husband's stromboli was tasty, but it needed salt or seasoning. HOWEVER, the CARBONARA was the WORST, it was like lead in my stomach, LEARN HOW TO MAKE CARBONARA - it is not an alfredo sauce with bacon and tomatoes. It is pancetta, egg and parmesean. And learn to use seasoning - it needed salt, pepper and parmesean to make it even palatable. Also, as we noticed the kitchen was behind when we walked in, we immediately placed our order, without letting our waiter get away, Our waiter disappeared on us after serving our entrees (even though he was helping the table next to us) and my husband had to get up and refill our ice tea glasses. Since we were full we did not eat dessert and the waiter tried to charge us for the full amount instead of the couples' special for $20.00 BECAUSE WE DID NOT EAT DESSERT (of course we didn't get the salads or bread that came with the entrees), and the restaurant staff sat there and had a discussion about whether to charge us or not.. Also, our hotel had a menu from the restaurant with a 10% coupon upon showing our room key which the restaurant would not honor. One of the owners said "oh, I need to go talk to then about that." We would have been better off going to Mr. Jims.

Was traveling cross country and had a stop in Laramie, 2013. Ordered pizza from here and was pleasently surprised. Ordered Thai and Hawaiian pizzas they were so good. All the flavors complemented each other perfectly, really hit the spot after the days of travel and mostly disappointing food. If I ever find myself in laramie again, I will defiantly get pizza here again.

I have heard and read good things about Grand Avenue Pizza, but I have to sorely disagree. Their "buffet" is a joke, they have like 3 kinds of pizza and what happen to a normal pepperoni pizza? Anyway, I took a piece of cheese pizza, some Alfredo pasta noodles and a garlic bread piece. I went to bite my garlic beard and about broke a tooth, it was hard as a rock. I took one bite of my pizza and spit it out, I never just spit food out. The yeast was not cooked, the sauce tasted sour and it was cold! It was horrid. My Fiance had the similar experience with his food. We asked for the check, the waitress came over and noticed our one plate a piece still filled and asked what was wrong. We told her and she looked concerned, she went and told the kitchen and we still had to pay even though we didn't eat. The Waitress was nice enough, but the food sucked. When the waitress took the check she said "maybe next time", we flat out told her, "sorry, but we are not coming back." Don't waste your time here, unless your into bad tasting cold pizza and hard as rock garlic bread.

So good!!! Our waitress was incredibly sweet and helpful. I had the pasta bake and it was delicious. The dessert is absolutely wonderful as well. Will definitely return.

By far the best pizza in this tiny town in the country. Fresh, high quality ingredients make this place stand out from the rest. Food network even called them the best in the whole state! Here is a pro tip: Try the homemade ice cream! You wouldn't think of it at a pizza place, but it is amazing. Reasonably priced too.

I really thought I'd died and gone to pizza heaven. We've been in Laramie less than a week, and as is typical with a move, you find yourself eating out a lot just before and right after. In this case, we wanted delivery and needed to find a new pizza love after leaving behind Mellow Mushroom in Georgia. After perusing the online menu, we settled on the Rosemary Chicken (brushed with olive oil and garlic then topped with tender chicken pieces marinated in a rosemary mustard sauce, artichoke hearts and california sun dried tomatoes) -- it was a tad reminiscent of the Philosopher's Pie (we always subbed chicken for steak). Being fungi lovers, we added in some mushrooms. I'll admit that I was hesitant and unsure of what to expect. It was love at first bite. The chicken was perfectly tender and juicy with an out of this world flavor. Seriously, I'd buy any dish that had the rosemary mustard chicken on it. The rest of it just came together nicely. We'll definitely order again and try some of the other pizza and dishes. Just so glad to have something other than the typical delivery chains. Note, though that they don't delivery every day.

Stopped by for a carry out and ordered a large pepperoni, took about 20 minutes to get my food. Everything Good so far, Pizza tastes fine but is nothing fancy. Crust seems to be fresh made and toppings/sauce are not stingy - just not alot of flavor and crust tasted kind of like cardboard. I'll give benefit of the doubt they make better since I didn't order anything special - would repeat if I drove through again to try something more intricate.

Ordered delivery from here a few times and went for their lunch buffet once. The pizza was always pretty good. I liked their cheese bread with marinara. I was sad when I ordered the stuffed mushroom app though, it was like $7 and I think I got 5 stuffed mushrooms. Not worth it. They tasted good but $7 come on. Their lunch buffet was lacking. They had maybe two pizzas out at a time, and a few super small containers of pasta and sauces. They bring you your salad in the biggest bowl ever like I'm not trying to eat enough lettuce for a whole week at once I could do with maybe a cup or two. Still, everything was always good and they are super fast with delivery, they usually quote 45 minutes but every time it was less than 15 or 20.

Grand Avenue has been a mainstay in Laramie for well over 20 years. Recently revisted during a trip back. Still have a good menu with tasty food. I've had better pizza, but not much better in Laramie.

All of the positive reviews kind of surprise me. Not that it's horrible, it's just not my favorite. Pizza is notoriously over sauced and under topped, but the ingredients are fresh so you can't beat that. The pastas are either to thick and almost gelatinous or watery, not sure what that's about. The calzones while they look awesome I've unfortunately had a few with a couple of gooey unbaked spots. All in all not the best, not the worst.

Stumbled into Grand Avenue last Friday evening after running into some outrageously long waits at the usual dinner spots downtown Laramie. No wait whatsoever at GA- we got a table immediately. The dining room is by no means fancy, but clean and wait staff was friendly and attentive. We had an appetizer of warm artichoke dip and fresh bread which hit the spot on a chilly (windy) spring day. We had a Traditional (sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, and oregano) with some extra toppings on wheat crust. Three of us split a large pizza and it was just enough, and pretty delicious! I know GA has a pizza buffet at some point during the week and that its a very good deal. Also bottles of wine are half off on Wednesday. You can bet I'll be back to check those deals out sometime soon.

Wow! What a find! Located in Old Downtown Laramie, this place is worth a stop! It doesn't look like much from the outside (or the inside, for that matter), but their crust is home-made, their veggies are fresh cut, and they even make their own desserts - ice cream, too! The Chicken Thai pizza has appeared in magazines for good reason. Even if you are craving a traditional pie ala red sauce, meat and mozz - take a chance on this oddity! You will not be disappointed. If you are tight on cash, they offer a special deal from noon to 5PM - any large take-out pizza for $10! What a steal! We like to pick up our pizza and walk the two blocks to the bookstore - where they don't mind if you enjoy your pizza at one of their tables so long as you make-nice and purchase a natural soda or glass of iced tea while you are there! We are a big fan of Grand Avenue's Cookie Bar Sunday. YUMMY!

We're going back today for the pizza bar today after having a yummy late lunch yesterday. It sounds like a great value.
