We were driving through the area and decided picked Boomers based online reviews, and we weren't disappointed. We got the rib platter and the pork/brisket/chicken platter. The rib meat basically fell off the bones and were plenty good without any sauce. The pulled meats did benefit from the sauces, which were all distinct and amazing. The sides were all right, but the highlight (along with the ribs) was the dessert. The blueberry cobbler was great, but the bread pudding was what we'll come back for. The atmosphere was comfortable and the staff was extremely attentive and friendly. It was a Sunday evening, which I gather is not their busiest night, so we had the place almost to ourselves, and we will make a point of stopping by again on our way back home.

I ate at Boomers the other night, was sick of the same subpar food in laramie with a top notch price tag. Boomers was a great value! The bbq is decent, as others have said not the bbq masters pit perfection but solid. I got brisket and pulled pork, both seemed a little dry but atucally wernt at all. I guess I am to seeing bbq covered in sauce which this want.. for good reason, they have 6 types of sauce so you can add at your own flavor liking. The service was great, nice local run join. But take home message was the value here, less than $30 before tip for a 2 meat platter for my self and a bbq prok sandwich for the lady, and 2 ice teas. I will be back, rather eat here than allitudes or the library if I'm going out to eat. They did have beer and desert as well but we were too full from dinner, had to get a to go box.

Very good bbq! And the chocolate stout cake and Bread Pudding were excellent! Would definitely come back again. Very friendly staff

My son and I went to Boomer's last night for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised! Many of the restaurants in Laramie are somewhat disappointing, but not Boomer's. My son ordered the pulled pork and brisket. I ordered the ribs. Both of our dinners were excellent! The homemade bread pudding is to die for. Can hardly wait to bring my husband, who is a BBQ aficionado!

Mmm... BBQ. Everyone loves BBQ. Unless of course, you are a PETA person or a sad soul, often referred to as a vegetarian. This town is certainly in need of a good BBQ place, complete with heaping mounds of delectable, smoky, mouth watering stacks of meat at a low price. Boomers fits the bill. Almost. There is a lot to be said for this restaurant. The decor and staff are very nice. It has a real down to earth feel. However, the food really can't justify the price tag. They said everything is homemade, and I would believe it. But the food is just not that good. The pulled pork was dry and shredded to bits. It did not taste fresh at all. The portions were also too small. For 14 bucks, you only get one slice of toast and two tiny slices of pickle. Two sides come too, but the serving of meat that I got was not so good. It's not all bad. The husker hash was very tasty. The service was friendly too. One of the staff members had a birthday so they offered everyone a free slice of cake. I really want to give this place two stars, but my conscience is telling me to toss on an extra star for the cake. I hope they get their act together. They have lots of potential.

Not really good bbq. Not even good. 10$ for dry slices of turkey on a stale bun, 2 pickle slices and a cup of old beans. They do not cook on a pit. I knew trouble was brewing when i heard the sound of a microwave opening and closing. Food was cooked in an oven (presumably) at some point and microwaved to order. I picked at the food and asked for a to go cup so that i could at least get 1$ worth of my 2.50$ cup of pepsi. Waiter said yes but returned to the table to tell me they were out of stock on to go cups. Just dont go here. The good reviews have got to be fluff pieces written by owners, friends, or family.

I love BBQ. I grew up in Oklahoma, and have eaten BBQ everywhere. OK, TX, NC, Ohio, So Cal, Vegas, Alaska, Spain, Kuwait, Rio, Moscow, and numerous places in-between. While Boomer's is not the pit-master's perfection that some small town Southern BBQ joints are, it is still fantastic food. My family (2A/3K) stopped in Laramie for dinner, and literally stumbled on to Boomer's while walking down Main Street. This appears to be a fairly new establishment, and the decor is a mix of Oklahoma (Sooners) and Wyoming State (Cowboys). But you're not reading this to hear about the decorations, you want to know how the BBQ is, right? We ordered some sliced brisket (plate and sandwiches) and pulled pork. The pork was just a tiny bit dry, but had great flavor. The brisket flavor went on for miles and was smoked to perfection. I'm going to pause in my review and get on my BBQ high-horse here. If you expect your BBQ to come out slathered in sauce, and decry "dry" BBQ when it isn't, then you don't know BBQ! Real BBQ brisket (and Boomer's is the real deal Lucielle) has so much flavor that The Duke just might come back from the dead and punch you in the mouth if you put sauce on it. If you really have to have sauce on your BBQ, Boomer's has the best solution I've ever seen. Along with your food, they bring you a six-pack (in a beer six-pack holder!) of any kind of sauce you could ask for: regular, sweet, hot, SC mustard, AL white, and NC vinegar. 5 yrs of BBQ purgatory in NC with nothing but an ocean of vinegar all around caused an involuntary tremor at this point, but I pushed through. Back to the food: there were plenty of sides to go around. The Husker hash was really good, as were the beans. The funny little pickle garnish/side was way too spicy for my 8 yr old, but those of us with all our taste buds in the right spot loved them! We asked for seconds, and they brought out enough for everyone. Dessert was homemade cobbler w/ ice cream - it survived approximately 14.98 seconds. We had enough leftovers for two takeout boxes, and this was after my 14 yr old with the hollow leg was sated. Bottom line: I'd eat at Boomer's any day of the week. If we pass through Laramie again, we'll be stopping at Boomer's BBQ. This was not the best BBQ place I've eaten at, but by far the best North of the Mason-Dixon Line. 4 stars in TX, 5+ stars in Laramie.

It is nearly impossible to get quality BBQ in the west and this place is no exception. I have eaten here twice and there will not be a third. The food is rather plain. Potato salad had no flavor as did the beans. My brisket was dry and tough.
