Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I am addicted to the fries with carne asada. They have a great green sauce too. Pretty fast, and a great price. Will probably head there later today again!

This place has been open for months - have heard great reviews and finally made it there today. Phenomenal. Had a fish taco, a carne asada taco and a ginormous burrito - all were outstanding. This is the kind of place where you could probably order anything on the menu and it's going to be fresh and amazing. I'll be back soon and often.

Almanza's has the best Mexican food in Laramie! It's sooo good, but I think it's important to say that you *must* order the right food. If you think you're going to get tacos like Taco Bell...well - then just go to Taco Bell. But if you want a great MEAL - order the Carne Asada or the Carnitas. Make sure you get all of the salsas from the salsa bar as well (this is the reason I don't do the drive thru - I want to pick out my salsas!) and I ask for an additional flour tortilla to wrap up the delicious goodness. It's like I'm back in SoCal when I eat there! :) The food makes me deliriously happy!! And the prices are sooo reasonable. MMMMMmmmmm!!!! Other family faves are the Carnitas Fries and the California Burrito. If you have a kiddo who is picky - go for the quesadilla.

Been to a few of the Almanzas Chain Restaurants - I'd have to say this is the best one.. Can't say it's the greatest mexican food but it's fast and open 24/7

The food was awesome! It also tasted very authentic! I got the beef tacos and they were great! Their beans are also more authentic and may have been homemade. Love the fact that they are open 24/7!

The burrito was good, but the dining room was a mess with dirty tables from previous customers. The enchilada was cold with unmelted cheese. Never again! Never is a long time!!!

Worst service in all of Laramie and the staff doesn't even know their own menu. Each time you order the same thing it's made different

Mexican fast food place! If you're looking for a place serving food in Laramie 24x7, this is the one!

I lived in Arizona for 6 years so I feel like I have the qualifications to say that Laramie is LUCKY to have this low-cost/high quality/authentic Mexican restaurant. It reminds me of the southwestern chain, Los Betos. Open 24 hours! My standard order is a carne asada burrito with a horchata. Service is friendly, salsa bar is great, and the burritos are huge. The only downside: bad heating and not-so-great guacamole. If you are looking for a sit-down experience, try Corona Village. If you're looking for a quick tasty bite on a budget, go to Almanza's!

The food is good and authentic but the interiors are not that good. This place has a drive through which is a gr8 advantage for Laramie. A quick food hangout with differnt options than the usual mexican food.

Worse Mexican Food I have ever had!! Ordered Guacamole and Chips and they served me Nachos with Guacamole with Cheese on my chips. I just wanted plain Guacamole and Chips. The Guacamole was not fresh!! Ordered a Steak Taco and Steak Burrito combo. Steak Taco tasted like Carnitas because it was deep fried and probably in the same oil as the Carnitas. Burrito........Darn.....worse ever! I got a stewed beef. Beef Chunks in my burrito with about 4 pieces. It came with beans and rice but the beans where White after sitting in the steamer. Did not want to write this but the server swore this was the best place in town and was angry I did not agree. Coming where I am from, I appreciated even the taco trucks because it was way better than this.

Awesome food! This is THE place to go for Mexican food in Laramie. Low prices, neverending hours, and REAL, authentic food. Trust me, I am coming from LA, the center of Mexican food outside of Mexico. This is the real deal. Excellent tortillas (taste homemade), great service, and amazing selection.

The food was average. The burrito was good but the rice and beans were cold and the cheese enchilada was bland. However the employees were less than friendly. When the ice machine broke one of the cooks started yelling at the customer when he had nothing to go with it. Okay food or not I will not be coming back. Rude service and employees make for a crappy unpleasant experience.

I ordered a fish torta; it turned out to be a square shaped frozen fish patty, like you get in a public school cafeteria. Some shreds of cabbage were tossed on top. After hearing good reviews, I expected something other than a Tex-Mex McDonalds. The "salsa bar" was nothing more than canned, pickled items from Albertsons. I'm done with this place and will never darken the door again.

Pretty good for what it is- cheap, fast Mexican. However the rice and beans were definitely lacking. The beans having the look and-slightly disconcerting- taste of mashed potatoes while the rice was drier than a British comedian drinking Canada dry. The horchata was delicious though.

One of the better independent Mexican places I've been to. The food was great with some good spice. Not outstanding, but not bad.
(3)Ed B.
Fast food decor but authentic food. Chicken burritos were very good. Cinnamon rice drink very tasty; sweet. Good condiments to add. Cheap for what you get.

Great food!!!

I still love this place, but note: hear "potatoes", read "fries" including in breakfast burrito.

Great chimichanga with rice & beans. It's hard for me to find good Mexican since I'm from TX but this was good.
