This restaurant has it all! Inside and outside and rooftop dining. Great views of SnowKing Ski Hill activities. Wonderful menu with a wide variety of excellent dishes. Complete bar and hearty drinks. Cheerful and efficient service. Reasonable prices. The Lift is a must see and must experience in Jackson Hole.

Stopped here for lunch and ate on the patio. We needed to eat on the patio because we had our dog with us. They were very accommodating with this. I had the Ruben sandwich my son had a crab cake burger, and my wife had the chicken salad sandwich. All of our food was excellent. The reason for only 3 stars is the service was beyond sub-par. Our server acted as if he would have rather been anywhere except there. When we were finally ready to leave his demeanor started to improve. Maybe it was us?

Sat on the patio, music to chill This place is simple, it's lacking frill. The beers are flowing, yet no good wine. But it's a simple bar so that is fine. I need some mustard for this review. Maybe I'll eat a hotdog too. If you want food, don't sit upstairs. Jackson Hole has a lot of bears.

Terrific friendly service. Great casual place for an easy dinner and conveniently located near the base of the mountain. Our crew was aiming for healthy and each ordered salads with chicken (yes, we are boring). However we did order the brownie sundae a la mode which was amazing!

Mmm, jalapeño artichoke dip and a glass (or two) of half-tanked are my new favorite meal :)

Great atmosphere, really beautiful place! Steak, eh not what you would expect from a restaurant in Jackson Hole. 2 stars for the TERRIBLE TERRIBLE SERVICE, not sure who my server is because I've seen 3 different blonde girls. All rude!! No smiles, no manners. Can't get an extra plate, a refill on my beer to save my life and it's 9:30 at night! No one is even here! Definitely NOT FAMILY Friendly. There is a table in the middle of the bar talking extremely loudly about drug use, feminine hygiene products and condoms. Sorry, but it's true! Seems they have been over served because they each have 3-4 empty beer pints in front of them. Bartender doesn't seem to care though. Would not return again!

We had a great dinner here. Lots of healthy options plus great burgers. Decent kids menu. Nice outdoor patio. Good service. Easy parking. Close to Saturday night rodeo.

Worst service I've had. Usually I tip very generously but this is the only time I haven't tipped at all. The waitress never checked on us, was rude when she was walking by and we'd ask her for more water or the check. The food wasn't that great either. Won't be going back. Very awkward atmosphere.

Another 50 cent wing night with family and friends. I had the buffalo style wings and a bloody mary; both were very good and worth trying out. I highly recommend this place for good food and good times! The staff are some of the best in town.

This place finally trending . . . and I'm psyched for it! Great food, friendly staff, and awesome sportsbar atmosphere in the bar area where they will turn up the audio for you if you're the first fan to saddle up. Probably the best deck in town during the summer months and they have admirably carried on a local's favorite with the famed 'Billy's' Lift Burger. Off the beaten path and truly a treasure to find . . . I just hope they sort out the weird digcotimony between the lower restaurant and the upper deck during the summer months. Pirates never lie and love this hidden treasure!

Awful service! If you want an unqualified waiter to give you attitude, this is your spot. I will never go here again simply because staff has not been properly trained and don't know the basics of descent customer service.

The food - I had the lift burger. It was a big juicy burger cooked perfect! it comes with the basics and any extras are a dollar more (I added cheese, $1 more). The service - We had Theresa, she was very attentive and super nice and talkative with our large group. If I was ever in the area again, I'd come back definitely. Oh and the outside scenery is beautiful!!

Delicious food and atmosphere. Great location near Snow King Mtn. Will go again next time we're in town.

Not impressed with the food during our visit. The specialty cocktails were great (and on happy hour on a Sunday)! The server was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was nice, especially on the patio. We were able to tie our dog next to the patio while we ate. The calamari was okay, the two dipping sauces were not very good or fresh. Husband ordered the BBQ burger with bacon and fries - of course that was good. I ordered the edamame hummus plate, which was gross. It tasted old, like it was fermenting. I'd never had edamame hummus before, so I asked the server if the taste was expected. He went back to the kitchen, came back and said that it was fine. Offered to bring me a side of something, we decided on guacamole (which I was charged for). The vegetables were fresh, do I ate those with side of guacamole. I won't return for food. But, the atmosphere and drinks are enticing.

Across the street from Snow King. We stopped in for dinner at Sunday night. Crab cakes and spinach artichoke dip for appetizers, buffalo burger, salad and sausage penne for entrees. Good local craft beer on tap. A great deck, but it was a little too chilly to enjoy after the sun went down. Interior decor, rustic, cowboy, industrial, moderne. Lots of big screenTVs at the bar. They were all showing Yankees vs the BoSox... Oh well... We were too stuffed to try the deserts, but there were several that tempted. All in all, very pleasant.

great food and beautiful view. We did not get the nachos but it looks AMAZING. The buffalo burgers were great, according to my husband and daughter. I had the mac and cheese. it was good. I wouldn't get the spinach dip since it was too creamy and not enough spinach or artichoke.

The Lift is that local, unpretentious place you always find yourself defaulting to for a chill night out to dinner, but still has enough "oomph" to be a place to start out a night on the town. The new ownership is young and hungry too, excited to make an impact, and you can tell by the innovative items on the menu. Also, if you're staying nearby at the Snow King, you have to go to The Lift, as it's just a short little walk that's perfect before and after dinner. Our servers were great, and we even got to meet Lindsay the owner, and her dad, who's famous in town for having started the "Mangy Moose" up at Teton Village. So what did we have, and what should you have? Mac N Cheese was absolutely delightful. The green chili really gave it a kick that you don't typically see in Mac, and really added to the dish, alongside the shredded pork. The Buffalo Chili was a delight too, so much so that we ordered a second bowl after the first! We didn't get a chance to try the Poutine, but that's definitely on the list for next time, as we fully expect to hit the place up every time we make it to Jackson!

Great food at a bargain for Jackson. The nachos could feed an army at $12. And the lamb shank would cost twice as much at a lot of places in town. The bartenders are fast and friendly too.

Good ambience in a fun town. Hard to find better value in a town like this. The Lift burger is a must, a nice selection of beer on tap. If you are looking for a casual sit down dining experience this is a great option.
(4)Steve N.
Not nearly the place it could be. This place has so much going for it--location, great deck and roof, neat interior. But the food is a lesson in mediocrity. It's not terrible, but it's closer to that than good. It's unimaginative and lackluster in its presentation and ingredients. It's as though they found their inspiration from "Wingers" or some other small-town chain restaurant. The beer tap selection is also a disappointment. Do yourself a favor if you're visiting--walk a few extra blocks and eat at the Snake River Brewery.
(2)Tom R.
Decent food, but not a large selection - specifically for lunch. Slower service as well.
(3)Katie Dawn B.
So impressed with the service here, the food was amazing the Billy burger is still so yummy(pervious owners of The Cadillac) the wonton cigars are my favorite and I just adore the owners Suzanne and Dan always out talking with the guests. This location is beautiful.

Went to this place on 4th of July and we were lucky that there wasn't a long wait. We got rooftop seating and it was perfectly placed right next to where the fireworks were being set off. The waiters/waitresses are young and have a ball of energy when serving you. Will definitely go back when I'm in town!
(4)Louise T.
When I'm craving a Billy's Burger, I go here. Good service (except for the last time I was there), chill atmosphere and they have a nice deck (even though they don't allow dogs)! I've only had a few things such as: burgers, mac n cheese, calamari, salad and of course the waffle fries and it was all good. This is one of my go-to spots.

Absolutely fantastic. I got this tip from a guy at the local visitor's center, and I couldn't thank him enough. From fresh made tortilla chips to the magnificent big bowl, this is a must for anyone in Jackson hole. The food was quick to come out, delicious, and surprisingly cheap. Service was friendly and attentive. To literally top it off, there is a rooftop dining area as well that regularly hosts live music. This is definite gem for any young 20 something looking to kick back with some friends.

Great beer menu with lots of options. They offer a gluten free beer (woohoo). The food menu was simple- in a good way! They had something for everybody, even a gluten free burger bun. We had a party of seven and everyone was happy. I ordered the French onion soup.

Made a reservation for 10 well in advance with an employee, and arrived at the restaurant to find out they were closed until next month. Why would they have taken our reservation in the first place? I am crying.

After being seated by a slightly clueless hostess out on the deck, a girlfriend and I ordered a couple cocktails while looking over the menu. Although we didn't sit inside, we got a glimpse of the changes that have been made to the interior, and I really like what they've done with the place. Nice comfy looking booths! After hearing the news that the former owners of the Cadillac and Billy's were the same people who opened The Lift, it was decided we had to go for the burgers. Just as good as Billy's Burgers (will never be the same, but they are darn good) mine had a BBQ sauce made with Wyoming Whiskey and bacon, MAN. Not sure where they get their buns from, but they were amazing! The waffle fries are the same amazing ones Billy's had. I'm not sure I would come back to order a steak or anything, but I would definitely come back for a burger...especially with the location being at the base of snow king - get a little exercise and then that burger doesn't make you feel so guilty.

Truly disappointing. Food wasn't fresh, sandwich was dry and server couldn't care less. Won't go back.

Even though their web site and other web sites do not mention reservations, they do take them. Our dinner at the bar was okay.

We live in Jackson part time and decided to give this place another try after a disappointing first visit. They won't get three strikes from us, we won't ever return. The service was terrible starting with the hostess. All she could manage was a weak "hi" and then plopped us at a table in the bar without another word. We waited much longer than we should have since the place was not crowded. I ordered Diet Coke and guess what, Diet Pepsi! Did the bartender tell me that? No. My son and I decided to go for the Billy burgers. They were fine but tasted nothing like the old Billy's. I ordered mine with American cheese an the waiter corrected me and said, "You want Cheddar?" "No, I want American." Well burgers arrived and guess what? Cheddar. I mentioned that the burger had cheddar and not American and without looking at my burger he told me it was American since they are both orange cheeses! Are you kidding? Husband and daughter's meals were quite unremarkable as well. Management also seemed non-phased that we had a poor experience. Bad service, medoicre food and a very boring vibe in the place. There was no music and even the kids thought it was missing something. The decor was nice, but too bad they didn't maximize that part.

We were seated upstairs on the patio on a nice round table for six. The first of what would be a team of five servers came over and asked if we'd like drinks or food and after answering "both", she went off to find menus. She came back a bit later and in a quirky Slovakian accent said "here's what I found" and handed us menus and a wine list. So she was only able to bring water to the table and another server came over to take our drink order. I was impressed that there was no note taking because we had to ask a lot of questions because there was some in-fathomable disconnect between the upstairs and downstairs bar. Even though we had a menu with items listed, we couldn't order them upstairs. Huh? So the drinks arrive and I'm missing my Wyoming Whisky that I ordered with my beer. Everyone at the table remembers me ordering it but the waiter says I must have ordered it from someone else. First taste of attitude is served up. And maybe a note pad would have been good. Time to order dinner and now we have server #3 who is also taking it all in without benefit of a note pad. Only one substitution in the order and no appetizers, so how hard could it be? First round of drinks are gone so we ask the table next to us for the wine list. They oblige and we find out there was also a cocktail menu we never received. Bummer, because they have some interesting items. But we order a bottle of red and a bottle of white. Dinner arrives and the one substitution was missed. And the wine is AWOL. Finally another server brings over the bottle of white and opens it up, puts it on the table and walks away. Really? Pour your own? Comical. The fifth server comes over and asks how we're doing and we point out that the red bottle has never arrived. The three of us who wanted red have slowed down our eating to a snails pace to avoid the inevitable meal done, wine no-show problem. A few more minutes and we notice the wine has made it to the bar, but can't get a ride over to our table. Some well timed arm waving finally alerts our server that the downstairs has brought forth wine for the upstairs. With a few bites to spare, the wine is opened and this time we go through the traditional taste, accept and pour routine. We had caprese salad with salmon, flat iron steak, strawberry salad with salmon, ribs and two orders of buffalo brisket. Have to say that the food was good overall but the beverage service... Not so much.

I used to love Billys Burgers in Jackson Hole and was disappointed to hear they closed up about a year or so ago. I heard that this place uses the same cook top that Billys had so I had to check it out. Burgers were great, server (can't remember his name) was the best I've had in a long long time and the view was to die for. Loved the location as every place was packed and hard to park in the middle of town but a short 1 or 2 minute drive was worth the peace, quiet and awesome food here. Will definitely be back on my next visit to Jackson Hole - just wish I lived closer.

My wife and I grabbed a burger and a salad. Had a great experience and would recommend to others. Atmosphere is laid back. Your typical burger/pub type of place.
(4)Joseph K.
There aren't many places in Jackson you can get a delicious burger and beer for under ten dollars. This place does the trick, plus it's next to Snow King and has a rooftop patio which is awesome in the summer.

We had our daughter's wedding reception at the Lift on September 15, 2013. The Lift's owners, Dan and Suzanne Marino, were helpful from the beginning, ensuring us they would work hard to make the event special and what the bride and groom wanted. We began the reception with appetizers and drinks upstairs. The appetizers were delicious and the upstairs is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the view of Snow King Mountain. We moved downstairs for dinner and all three entrees were tasty and well-presented. We opted for Salmon, Elk Medallions and a vegetarian dish with sweet potatoes and black beans. We returned upstairs for cake while the downstairs was cleared for dancing. We had plenty of room for the band and a large dance floor and loved that were were able to use both levels and the outside porch, so there was room for people to move around. We thought the price was reasonable and we were not surprised by any extra charges. We would definitely recommend The Lift for your special occasion and would host an event there again.
