Great bagels, definitely will go back for more. Lots of variety in flavors & options. They also offer a variety of soups & sandwiches in a cafe atmosphere. They have grown quite a bit since last we were there three years ago. They have expanded and so has their business. There was quite a line for lunch.

I stayed in Gillette for the night and in the morning i asked the hotel staff for breakfast recommendations. They directed me towards big name chain restaurants so I ignored them and trusted Yelp. I'm so glad I did! The biscuits and gravy were delicious. The biscuits were sliced and grilled so they were toasty. Then white gravy with your choice of bacon or sausage crumbled into the gravy. It is a simple breakfast item but it was done so well. Each component was excellent. My dad had the French Toast made with thick cut sourdough. He was raving about how good the bread was. He also liked the cinnamon butter that came with it. He was ecstatic after that first bite. We shared the bacon. It was done perfectly and had good flavor. We also got some bagels and spreads to go. I haven't tried them yet (still full from breakfast) but I'm sure they'll be delicious.

Everything is very fresh. Service is excellent. Restaurant is clean. They have more than just bagels. I almost always get the Rueben on Rye bread, it's to die for. They have plenty of flavors for coffee. I make sure I stop in whenever I get a chance. I've got the order to go and I'll sit in my car and eat and the traffic and amount of people going in and out of the cafe is tremendous. They are definitely very popular but still manage to be prompt in making your order.

Best wrap I've ever had (Asian Chicken)! The staff is nice and friendly :) Road tripping from New Jersey and just came from Devil's Tower and this was a great stop. I couldn't be happier

I'm 72 years young. Before 2002 i lived in NYC and Philadelphia. The packaged and frozen bagels at wal-mart are closer to a real bagel than at Main Bagel. And the prices are outrageous, check the menu on this site. A plain "fresh" bagel is $1.50, the bagels are made from a rope of dough which is formed into a circle with the ends pressed together (check the photos). Totally unlike east coast bagels which are cut from a dough sheet cookie cutter style.

Outstanding service and food. I've lived all over the country and I have yet to find bagels as good as these. The plain, everything, and cinnamon crunch bagels are particular favorites. The breakfast bagel and Main Street wrap are also fantastic.

Had the steak and everything wrap and a coffee - excellent. The cashier/hostess was not rude when i didn't know what to order. Good coffee. Good spiced chai. Cozy enough eating area for a bagel place in a strip mall. Would definitely come back!

The breakfast bagel is soo good. Fresh everything. So many options for bagels. And the coffee spread was enough to wake you up with out even having a coffee yet. If we weren't driving through. I would def come back for there tuna sandwich.

Here for the first time and it is soooo yummy! But...the main reason I am writing this is that they are out of power and everything is still great. Kudos to the staff. They even had a moment of live music coming from the kitchen.

Sandwiches are always good, though chicken Parmesan was too small for my bread. I highly recommend the Steak n Everything on chibata bread. Breakfast is the best. Select your favorite type of bagel, and whatever sandwich you get can also be on that bagel. They have a LOT of different types of bagels to choose from.

The coffee was good and the behalf lived up to expectations. I'd been told this was a great coffee shop with "the best bagels". Price for bagel and coffee reasonable. However it is crazy to charge $.50 extra foe butter. The menu is extensive and the food appeared good. Lots of locals frequent the place. The gal at the register was quite sweet. I asked one of the other gals the nutritional value of a bagel and she said she didn't know. I asked her if she could find out and I never saw her again. Not good. Later Shelby came by and I asked her the nutritional value and she went and got the answer for me. GREAT SERVICE!!!

A true hidden gem in Gillette. Easy access off I-90, love stopping in whether working here or blowing thru town. Awesome breakfasts and even more polite staff.

Amazing breakfast and lunch, best in town no matter what you like! Their bagel sandwiches are filling and amazing. A great family run business with kind hearted employees will make sure you want to return soon.

...the Crack 'N' Scramble is the best breakfast meal available for purchase in North or South America...
(5)Ryan W.
I have made a point of visiting here each time I come into town. The food is excellent whether looking for a breakfast or lunch item, and the staff is also very friendly and helpful. I have tried about 3 different breakfast items and 2 lunch entrees and each has been great. Definitely take the time and stop by this great local restaurant. I would recommend the Monte Cristo, the cinnamon rolls, or the chicken cordon bleu.

Really good bagels and super friendly staff! They recommend topping their bagels with cream cheese frosting, which is a funky and delicious twist to the typical bagel. We loved their chocolate chip bagels and wish we could have tried their cinnamon rolls too. I hear their lunch menu is delicious as well. They are closed on sundays, which is a bummer for us, and their prices are a little high, but we will continue to give them our business because the food is yum and their service is great.

I absolutely love going to the Main Bagel. Everything is fresh each morning and my kids can't pass up a good bagel for breakfast! It's nice how they change up their bagels and cream cheeses depending on the seasons, too! They have such a good variety of foods on their menu, from breakfast to lunch. They offer bagel sandwiches, normal sandwiches, and wraps of all different flavors. The staff have always been smiling and friendly and I really enjoy picking here as a meeting place for get-togethers with friends and coworkers.

Love this place!! Great food, great staff! Don't miss out on this place.

Bagels are delicious. Service was great for my family of 6. Clean. The kids loved the monster cinnamon rolls. Coffee was good.

The Bagel Shop has the best breakfast in town - along with the best service! I love the variety of options, with my favorites being the Crack 'n Scramble and Monte Cristo (on a battered cinnamon roll). My husband loves their sourdough bread and usually gets the French Toast made with it. What a gem of a restaurant!
(5)Alex O.
My personal favorite place to buy coffee and a large selection of bagels and sandwiches. Very friendly staff and be sure to try there bake goods.
(5)Justine K.
Awesome food! The Crack 'n Scramble is great for breakfast and their Arizona Red Cream Cheese has just the right amount of heat for jazzing up a wrap at lunch.
(5)Mike M.
Awesome coffee/breakfast shop. Had a Baconwich (eggs, bacon, provolone, on sourdough bread). Delicious. Saw some of the other peoples meals and they all looked just as good. Salads are HUGE and come in a giant mixing bowl. Saw some kind of Cinnamon Rolls that were giant as well and looked great. Would recommend to anyone in Gillette.

MTO sandwiches, so you know it's fresh! Awesome staff, hands down best eats in Gillette. Winner...

Love love love this place ! Always a friendly smile and great eats. I'm addicted. Anytime someone comes from out of town we take them there.

After a terrible stay in a hotel with the worst continental breakfast we decided to try Main bagel co. It salvaged an otherwise awful morning. The bagels are amazing! The service quick and very friendly. We're so happy Yelp helped us find this little gem.
(5)Jessica W.
We've been going here more frequently now (like every saturday morning) and the girls are just great. We make sure to tip them. Theyre are undergoing renovations now to expand inside, theyre still open too. Closed Sundays :( The cream cheeses and bagels cycle seasonally which is awesome!

The Main Bagel is my favorite breakfast spot in Gillette, hands down, and it is also an excellent option for a light lunch. Their lunch sandwiches are fresh and delicious, and thier breakfast options are real homemade treats. The breakfast bagel, for example, is one of the best I've had anywhere, in part due to the use of real eggs. Their cream cheeses are also incredible. For my part I find the cinnamon Crunch bagel with honey walnut cream cheese irresistable enough to make it difficult to branch out and try new things. To top it all off, the staff is always friendly and helpful. This is one of those places that has everything you're looking for in a local cafe--great tasting homemade food and service from people who treat you like a neighbor.

I may be being a little harsh with my 2 star rating but I truly feel they don't warrant a 3. I am originally from NY so my bagel standards are fairly high. When I moved to Gillette I knew I wasn't going to be getting a great quality bagel anywhere but I have eaten here several times for both breakfast and lunch because I really wanted to like it. Let me start with the positives: nice atmosphere, very friendly staff and fairly good variety/quality cream cheeses. The food is for the most part quite good but very small portions and very overpriced (my husband had a Chefs salad once and he could forgive the use of iceberg lettuce because it was in all good but about 5 forkfuls for around $8). Now to the centerpiece, the bagels. As I stated I may be biased and even a bit spoiled when it comes to my bagels but here is my opinion of theirs: they have a nice but not very large selection and the big issue is weight. Any bagel connoisseur knows a good fresh bagel isn't to heavy, has some nice little air pockets in it and is slightly chewy on the outside and light on the inside. These bagels are about a pound a piece and solid throughout, in other words way too heavy in texture. Their cream cheeses do compensate a bit but not enough for me to continue trying to give this place a chance to either up their portions or lower some prices. Their wraps are very good, I must say but again very small (wouldn't fill my 12yr old up for lunch).

Very friendly and welcoming staff. I had the turkey and bacon wrap while my friend had the ham and swiss wrap and both were great. We also got some great advice about seeing Devil's Tower before heading to Mt. Rushmore. I highly recommend Main Bagel Co.
(5)Wendy D.
This place was a find! The bagels are great just like I use to get on the east coast. The meat on the sandwiches is sliced thinly and they give you a lot for your money. LOVE IT!
(5)Jessica H.
Bagel Dogs...YUM. They also have healthy turkey wraps with guac. Nice people work here too. I just wish it was open on Sundays. Boo.
(4)Helmut F.
Bagels and breakfast and sandwiches, oh my! The breakfast bagel at $4.75 is a show-stopper. Love this place...
(5)Jamie W.
I never liked bagels til I ate here! They make all their bagels fresh EVERY SINGLE DAY! My fave lunch sandwich is the Bagizza (pizza bagel) with Canadian Bacon (you can get it with pepperoni or just cheese as well)! One of the girls I used to work with brought me a Cinnamon Crunch bagel one morning for breakfast, and it was delish! Fresh bagel with cinnamon and sugar in the dough and cinnamon and sugar "crunch" on top, filled with TONS (I would say it was probably a good 2" thick!) with delicious cinnamon and sugar cream cheese! Did I mention they make their own cream cheese spreads for the bagels as well?? I haven't really gotten past these two items, because every time I go in, I tell myself I'm going to try something different and I end up getting the same thing. Be careful with the Bagizza though! When it lands on your table, it is HOT! I've burnt the roof of my mouth and my tongue on Bagizzas countless times! The service is really great, too! They are friendly and knowledgeable (for those times I thought I'd try something different, I asked them TONS of questions about the different bagels and sandwiches! And they patiently answered every one!). Get there early during the lunch rush, sometimes they can have big crowds! The place is pretty small, but I noticed on my way to work, that they are expanding, so that must tell you something about their business!
