Just finished with dinner at Adriano's and have a few things that should be updated based on other reviews. 1.) Garlic bread was great, just needed a dash of salt. 2.) Sausage and Peppers was decent. I enjoyed it. Based on the other gastronomical options in Gillette, this was a really good meal. 3.) Elsewhere it would be 2 stars. 4.) Had Melissa as a waitress. She was physically and emotionally absent. It's unfortunate; if she actually cared, she could do a good job. 5.) Its suitable for a single person to go there for dinner. It is not fancy; think neighborhood pizza place, not fine Italian dining. Food quality is above average. 6.) Blue cheese salad dressing was institutional and not worth getting.

I love the stuffed shells and the pizza is amazing. Hubby loves the sausage and peppers. Garlic bread is dowsed in garlic and I have to scrape the garlic off to enjoy it. Alfredo is straight up dog shit. Red sauce is amazing though. I highly recommend the pizza though. Try it you'll be hooked. Wait staff is definitely different... One chick wears fake colored contacts and is pretty unprofessional. Kinda ruined our vibe of the place. She wore way way way too much makeup. I'm not one to judge but it made me uncomfortable to look at her when she came to the table. I will return. Hope this helps.

Same name as the one in Cody, Wy, supposedly the one here trained the one on Cody. No comparison, prices higher, marsala sauce too salty, salad lacked spinach and romaine compared to Cody and they were supposed to substitute the vegetables for pasta and charge me instead. Decor, well not impressive. Would not return! On a side note, maybe Gillette but counted 8 men wearing caps during dinner, just no class left in the world anymore, no manners

For Gillette this is okay...the clam sauce was straight from a can and if they did anything to assist the sauce, it was not a help but just a pool of fishy smelling oil...I can only wonder about other seafood...so stick to red sauce and pasta. The red sauce is consistent but I will not stray from it again.

The service is friendly and the interior is very plan. I ordered a linguine Shrimp Alfredo for my dinner. The table bread was good with an interesting garlic oil toping. The meal came out in a reasonable amount of time. The linguine was a bit shy of al dente. It needs to be noted that my co-worker ordered angel hair pasta and the timing of my thick linguine and his skinny angel hair pasta is a chief's nightmare. So let's give them a little benefit of the doubt here. However, I think that they were a little stingy in the amount of pasta on the plate. The plate came with six large shrimps with tails still on, I would have rather a few more but smaller shrimp. The taste of the sauce was good but a pinch salty, and I have a very high tolerance for salt. The texture and viscosity of the sauce was spot on. This place is a solid 3 star, I'd go there again but I think I'd try the pizza next time.

Our team tried Adriano's while visiting Gillette for work. The restaurant itself is unassuming and is tucked away in the SW corner of the Wal-Mart Supercenter shopping place. Though off the beaten path for Gillette visitors, this is a must-try and needs to get its name on the map. I sampled a veal dish with sun dried tomato and artichoke, which I was well pleased with. Very balanced, with plenty of a delicious olive-oil garlic sauce. My colleagues tried everything from spaghetti, veal marsala, cannelloni, and chicken parmigiana. We covered the board of traditional Italian fare and none were disappointed! Salads and bread served before our entrees were quite fresh as well. The next day for lunch, our team sampled their pizzas. Definitely better than any chain pizza I've had! Much like other restaurants in the area, the portion sizes are quite large, but there is definitely more flavor and care put in to making each dish. There are more noodle, sauce, and meat options than you'll know what to do with, so come with some instincts. One small wish is that they would add Farfalle to the pasta options. Wine and beer are well priced. Service was kind and timely. The restaurant owner, a modest Italian gentleman, even came out to greet us- making an impression this was not your typical small-town basic spaghetti joint. He should look forward to great success as long as he continues to dish up the kind of high quality food accompanied with pleasant service you'll find at Adriano's!

If this was in a bigger town, I would give it three stars. It's in Gillette though and is the only Italian restaurant. Our waitress was a little green (brought us Cabernet instead of Chardonnay, etc) but they were are sweet. This place is busy in the evenings so get there early. They had a lot of menu options and the manicotti I got was great but a little heavy on the cheese. My husband got ratatouille and loved it. Stuffed mushrooms were heavy on the garlic so we thought they were awesome. This is a casual restaurant and great for just getting out of the house for some much needed Italian.

Great food, but then, I love garlic. Others in my party were not so enamored with the garlic. The very odd thing though was that at one point during the dinner, the entire staff of the restaurant were just sitting around watching us eat and listening to our conversation. There were at least two of the staff watching and listening to us throughout the dinner. Odd.

I just returned from Gillette, having eaten at Adriano's. I couldn't be more disappointed. The food was poor; the prices were high. The first sign that things weren't going to go well should have been when the waitress brought out the basket of not-Italian bread along with the saucer of balsamic vinegar and something that was clearly not olive oil. I mean, whatever oil they put in there was crystal clear and without taste, not a hint of olive oil. The house Italian salad dressing tasted like a mixture of poor quality vinegar reduced with water. The main courses my son and I had were, hmm, "uninspired," like someone ignorant of Italian cooking trying to cook something they imagined Italian cooking to be. Both were over salted. My son had the tiramisu for dessert, and it was par for the course(s)-- some bad spongy cake layered with what seemed to be frosting from a can.

Nasty. Family and I went here for lunch and it was gross. I ordered chicken Parmesan and the sauce over it tasted like Hunt's canned spaghetti sauce or something from chef Boyardee. Barf. The kids ordered just plain buttered pasta. How can you mess us buttered pasta is beyond me but this place figured it out. We got three bowls of over cooked pasta with spoonfuls of margarine thrown on top. The butter was not even melted into the pasta, just a big scoop of Parkay on top. The pasta was too cold to melt the margarine and for his they charged $4 and that did not include the drink. I won't eat here again, I could get the same results at home for three bucks and a can opener. There are better selections for pasta in town. Bootleggers has the best chicken Parmesan in town and other tasty pasta dishes as well. The Prime Rib has a couple decent pasta dishes as well. If this is award winning food, someone needs to lay off the crack pipe!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
