Good place to stop for a quick bite on the way through Evanston. Buffalo chicken sandwich was delicious, and we were in and out of there with our food to go in 10 min.

Originally we were going to try another place down the street, but they had to close early, so we popped down to the deli, on the recommendation of a local. So glad we went! Really friendly employees, and fast service. My partner is vegetarian, and he had a fantastic wrap, full of flavor and delicious veggies. I had a panini with guac and pico and cilantro mayo and all sorts of good stuff. They've got a great selection on their menu. So many delicious flavor combinations. Tip: I'd definitely recommend the fries vs the chips. The chips we were given were Lay's baked plain chips. Meh.

Wanted a local place for breakfast and found this place online. I really wanted to like it, so so bad. The service was awesome and everyone was super nice however the food was lacking. I looked at the menu online and got super excited about the waffle with bananas and peanut butter syrup. When I ordered it they were out of bananas and didn't have any other fruit...that's fine the waffle still sounded great. Unfortunately the waffle was way under cooked and the "peanut butter syrup" was just plain PB. There was also so much of it...I literally lifted the waffles and let it all fall off. I had two bites but couldn't do any more :( I would give this place another shot because everyone was so nice but maybe try it for lunch instead.

The Main St Deli is a perfect example of why I like Yelp. I was low on fuel and pulled off the highway. Typical highway exchange with a handful of gas stations and fast food like McRats and Burger Schwing. I was hungry and the typical fast food(?) as always didn't sound good. I open the Yelp app. I type in 'best burger.' Main St Deli came up. Not only did I have one of the best and biggest bacon cheeseburger, I discovered a nice little town a few miles away from the typically annoying highway exchange. Give it a try. And while you are there walk around the town a bit.

This place was just what we needed. We try to avoid fast food and support the local community and this was just right! It's located in the old district of this tiny town. Great sandwiches and hand cut fries. GET THE HAND CUT FRIES! We got Liberty Lane, BLT, Route 66, and Main Street. Awesome and fresh. The bacon was thick and crispy and all the bread was grilled perfectly. There's plenty of room in the deli and it's really clean. The girl at the register was friendly and if we had room we would have bought the yummy looking cupcakes. Definitely give this place a try.

Solid alternative to fast food on the road. Good food comes out fast. Only about 3-4 minutes off the freeway. I had the Main Street which was a chicken sandwich with bacon, Swiss and Guacamole. Solid. In and out in 15 minutes.

Just ate here for lunch while traveling through Evanston for business. We had their arch street Reuben, DELICIOUS! Great hand cut French fries and fry sauce. Our son had the liberty street club which he also devoured. Very friendly and efficient service. You must try!

We were looking for an alternative place for lunch to the fast food chains along the interstate when we saw this deli on Main Street. The lunch menu includes appetizers like spicy chicken wings, cheese bites and onion rings; a big variety of sandwiches, salads, loaded potatoes, wraps, panini's and burgers. I ordered the Santa Monica Panini (turkey, guacamole, pico de gallo, provolone, and cilantro aioli) and my husband had the day's special - brisket po boy. Service was fast and friendly and the food was good except the french fries were a little soggy. Would eat here again.

it's not perfect by a long shot, but it's better than almost anywhere in Salt Lake City where I live, plus it's in Evanston. I always prefer to support the local place rather than the Subway by the freeway. This time, it was a good choice. My wife and I had the Philly Cheese steak and Reuben. Nobody should expect anything approaching a real cheese steak in a place like this, but it was a very tasty sandwich. Just having a Reuben sandwich is a bold statement compared to Subway and Quiznos. Having Rye bread is now something special. That's sad. I don't like that they use baked chips instead of real potato chips, but other than that nit, it's a really decent sandwich. Do yourself a favor and skip the chain and support the local business. We had our dog with us and enjoyed sitting out in the open air dining watching the city go past.

Driving through area and found this gem via yelp. Lunch was perfect. BLTs with lots of excellent crispy bacon. Fries were freshly made (not frozen potatoes) and hot! Do NOT miss one of their cupcakes. We saw several people taking them out and bought a couple for dessert later. Best cupcake I've had in a long time. If you're in the area do stop - everything we had was fresh and delicious.

Oh. My. Word! Be prepared to wait. It took over 30 minutes for us to get our sandwiches. And then they were made wrong. I think for a time convenience we'll go somewhere else.

i was stuck in evanston - I80 was closed - so i went here for breakfast. it's as downscale as could be, complete with a crowd of good ol' boys in one corner. the food was fine, but (as one would imagine, being in this part of the world) not exactly gourmet. good enough, though, and better than eating at one of the chains on the interstate.
