Amazing to find good fresh seafood in Wyoming! Nostalgia's shrimp tempura appetizer with ogo melts in your mouth -- I could easily have ordered two more for dinner. The Thai steak salad was superb and all at our table were pleased with both the ambience, food quality and attentive service. Located near the entrance to Yellowstone National Park, this place is worth a stop -- easy to find, wonderful location in which to relax and enjoy! Yelp didn't credit me properly for this review, so I'm posting it again for attribution!

I had the special blackened pork chop. The sauce for it was very good with the bleu cheese. I should have requested it to be cooked medium rare and it came out more medium well. Good flavor overall. My son had the 1/3 lb burger and rated it typical (3). He also had onion rings for a 3.5. The ambience of the place was co and the service was very good.

Cute little place in Dubois, WY. I was driving through on my way up to Grand Teton National Park. I ordered their Cesar Salad and added chicken. I was going to skip the chicken becaude their menu lists it as chilled chicken. However, the waiter said it is actually grilled chicken grilled in basil olive oil. I was so glad he told me this because it was quite good! Crispy outside texture with a juicy, tender center. My only complaint is they are a little HEAVY handed with their Cesar dressing. I recommend you to ask for the dressing on the side, unless you have a tendency to drench your salads with dressing. I also ordered their Mediterranean Sandwich and paid a little extra to upgrade my fries to sweet potato fries. The sandwich was great and quite enjoyable. The sweet potato fries were crispy which is awesome as most places struggle with this. However, there was something about their seasoning that threw me off. Suttle, yet made me question whether I liked it or not. If you are swinging by this area, check it out. They have a limited lunch menu, but overall they do a really good job.

Good spot and a nice (and only) option for fine dining in this small rustic town. Lots of entree choices and the like. Friendly staff and a nice bar setup as well. Hits the spot and fills the belly!

I guessing this is the fanciest restaurant in Dubois. It reminded me of many of the dive bars I've been in over the years including the Pioneer Inn in Nederland CO. First the good: They were open relatively late for a small town. The menu featured an eclectic mix of gourmet options that allowed a non-beef eater to have choice in a state where choice is nearly illegal as evidence by many of the billboards on I-80. The vibe was that of a place where the patrons were enjoying themselves. Now we come to why I cannot score Nostalgia Bistro higher: Our server ruined the whole experience by being inattentive to my party. She was slow and did not come back once to see how our food was. She was obviously preoccupied with whatever else was more important than service and our tip. The Asian salad dressing was also ridiculously spicy and I like spicy dishes. I'm not feeling Nostalgia Bistro and if I end up in Dubois again I'll just go back to the Cowboy Cafe if they're open.

Glad the place across the street was closed because I just had a wonderful bowl of potato soup and Caesar salad. The staff was very friendly with all my questions about the recent fire down the street. Sounds like the entire community pulled together. I love small beautiful towns.

Great place, I had the best burger with blue cheese outstanding! The staff was super friendly. I would go back anytime for sure.

This place was ok. Overpriced for what I got but better than the typical fried on the road food. I ordered smoked trout fettuccini and it seemed like most ingredients were canned or pre-prepared, for $23. Kids got rib plates, mashed potatoes were quite bad and lacked flavor. We waited 15 minutes to be seated and were crammed up against another table.

The staff was great! The food was fantastic... what a great spot in Dubois, WY. We would definitely recommend to anyone. They have something on the menu for just about everyone, including sushi.

Yum. Great Thai steak salad and blackened chicken salad. Sweet potato fries were superb.

On the drive from ID to central WY, long about dinner time I am passing through Dubois, in the off season. I guess I should eat. First thought was a place that was closed, 2nd closed, , hmm, signage on this brazen hussy of a looking place is a bit confusing, seems to be a fusion place. I go it and find they are open. Red wall paper and decor looking like a toned down French brothel (gotta call em like I see em!), all the guys in the place were in plaid, Johnny Cash on the CD player. It features a jovial staff, decorated with a great sense of humor and panache, other patrons were nice, we all have a good time. The Good (what they do well intentionally) Dinner was Buffalo rib eye with a whatever is open Napa Cab, on bleu cheese fries. Dessert was panna cotta (in the wilds of Wyoming?). Ambiance, staff, music, setting, all good. The Bad (what they could fix) nothing comes to mind. The Ugly (what they can't control) at the mercy of weather for deliveries. I thought it was a Monty Python-esque Cheese Shop redux as I inquired about various distilled spirits and dessert wines. Answer to my question of "Any Port?" was close to "Not much call for it in these parts." His words were "we don't get many requests" but the Python phrasing in my head had me amused. Alas, several single malts would be arriving later this week so, there you go. Worth the stop if you are on an Adventure Holiday, nudge nudge. :-) p.s. When we couldn't come to terms with the depleted bar features, the waiter/barman/host did a wonderful thing. He said they may have something next door in the liquor store to meet your desires. We did a few back and forths and he fetched a Bulleit Bourbon with my money. I gave everyone in the place a sample pour, plus the staff each got one. Evolving the dominant paradigm one interaction at a time!

Fantastic service, and the Thai Beef Steak Salad is phenomenal! Not too spicy, just enough to give it a delicious flavor.

Excellent people, food and atmosphere. Let us come in at 9:30 even though they closed at 9:00. Great place!

Great food, phenomenal service, long time to get a table/food. I have worked in restaurants, and I understand long waits for tables. But when there are open tables on the floor, and you have people accumulating at the door, it strikes me as a kitchen that isn't running properly, at least with regard to ticket times. I also understand that when there is only one "fancy" restaurant in a small town that gets a lot of summer visitors that you will have to wait to be seated. We had about a 45 minute wait. No big deal, we were able to get a drink or two from the bar, and then our server had fixed our drinks, so everything transferred easily. Once we sat down, we ordered about 10 minutes later. I ordered a chicken caesar salad and my friend the oven baked penne pasta. Our food came 55 minutes later. It was hot (the chicken was, not the salad) and delicious. Our server was delightful the entire time and always tended to our needs, but the common refrain was "sorry guys, the kitchen is really swamped." Talking with locals in the town, this is not an uncommon event. I would recommend this place to anyone passing through Dubois, but I would say go about 90 minutes before you want eat.

Stopped here on a road trip. Tastiest food of the whole trip! Here's a summary: Appetizer- pulled pork nachos were smothered in cheese, beans, peppers and came with delicious home made salsa. HIGHLY recommend. Entree- shepherds pie- also tasty peppered with unique spices, but keeping that good old traditional taste. Dessert- the creme brûlée!! Amazing. Only complaint was that service got a little slow once the place packed up, but it was worth it.

A real find in a rather small Wyoming town! this restaurant is worth a trip in and of itself. My seafood pot pie was loaded with seafood (not filler) and had a fantastic light, flaky crust. My wife had ribs (pork)- very lean and came off the bone cleanly. The rib sauce was balanced between spice and fruit- not the sickly sweet stuff one usually gets. The chef, in my opinion, could head up a restaurant kitchen anywhere in the country, but prefers this small town in the Rockies where he can hike and bicycle to his heart's content.

Five Stars in Dubois Wyoming?...Yup...deserves it. To start, best bruschetta my wife and I have ever had...and we have had a lot! The service was excellent and our meals were outstanding. Shannon, the owner and chef worked for Roy Yamaguchi, and it shows. Thanks for a great meal!

Food is sophisticated when compared to the fact we are in mid-land Wyoming. And at a surprising quality and taste. Service was very slow. Nice atmosphere. Great evening.

What a pleasant surprise - a phenomenal Caesar Salad in Dubois, Wyoming! Had to come back for lunch the next day to get it again. Dubois will be a highlight of our trip because of this restaurant - everything - two meals - was first rate.

Whenever I now go through Dubois, I always stop at this restaurant and bakery. My boyfriend and I even travel up here for a romantic dinner. This chef knows haow to cook!! His menu is innovative and the food is as good as the description: get the ale and cheese soup or the lobster coconut soup (BIG HUGE CHUNKS OF LOBSTER!), the salad with dried cherries and almonds is yummy, orange and beet salad is really really tasty, the softshell blue crab rools are wonderful as well as the lamb, the chicken dishes and desserts. LOVE IT!

This place gets 5 stars for a charming atmosphere, excellent service, and, most of all, interesting, high-quality food that I never would have expected in a small town of about 1000 people. I was particularly impressed by the freshness of the tuna and scallops given that the restaurant is located in the middle of Wyoming. This place was a very pleasant surprise for us as we drove through on our way west, and I'd recommend going out of your way to stop here if you happen to be at all nearby while passing through the area.
