I normally don't like country music but the live entertainment here and the food here won me over. What I like the most is the menu is on the big wall on the left you can't miss it, the menu is short and specialized so you know you are getting something good. Being a burger person I can only say the five star rating I gave them says it all not to mention their other menu items are just as incredible because I may have taken a bite from my friends order but don't tell them.

My boyfriend and I (28yr/30yrs old) were in Cody WY, for two nights and found this awesome place! Every employee s incredibly friendly and wonderful! Justin is an amazing bartender and I can't wait to go back and visit! Thank you so much Justing for making our trip to Cody, wonderful! I can't not get over how awesome this place is! We stayed in Cody two nights while on vacation September 2014. We were hungry for a good hamburger. Read the reviews on Yelp and decided to give the Silver Dollar a try. Burgers were huge and delicious and we were so excited to find a place with homemade French fries! Wonderful food. Enjoyed having a place to eat outside because it was so nice out.

Went to this place on our way into Yellowstone, had a couple of drinks and it seemed like a good place with some live music. When we ordered our second round, we also ordered a couple of burgers to go and closed our tab so we could go chill at our hotel. The burgers took about 45 minutes to get to us. There were quite a few people there, but from what we could see, no on else was having food. Our waiter did stop by after about 25 minutes to let us know that they hadn't forgotten us, they had just gotten completely slammed. Went inside to go to the bathroom - it was dead, so I'm not sure which part of the bar was slammed. We finally got our food in a bag, walked back to our hotel (maybe five minutes), and opened our boxes to find that both burgers were made with mushrooms and Swiss (we had only ordered one with mushrooms). Since one of us is allergic to mushrooms, I called the bar and asked for a manager. I was told there wasn't one there, so I told the guy that we had just gotten food from them and one of the orders was wrong. I asked him if someone could run a new burger out to us since we were right around the corner, or would we have to come back up there. He said everything was shut down, so neither. I said "You're kidding me, that sucks". He said "Yeah, I know. Goodnight." And hung. Up. The fries were completely cold and soggy. The burger was wrong and an actual health issue for the person it was intended for. The food took a ridiculous amount of time to get, but all of that could have been forgiven. Until your superstar employee was shockingly rude on the phone. Great location, cool setup, but you might want to work on your staffing issue. Don't worry about responding, I'm just another out-of-towner, but I'm definitely not coming back or recommending your place to anyone.

Had the blackened bleu cheese burger. Very good. Service was fast and friendly. Seems like a good mix of locals and travelers. Recommended by some locals as well as reviews on Yelp. The reality did not disappoint the expectations. Great place for a burger and a beer.

Went out for drinks on a Thursday night while I was in town for research to relax a bit and couldn't have been happier. Really good deals on beer pitchers before 10pm, there was a DJ set up and I ended up dancing with locals till closing. My last, and one of the better nights I had in Cody. Only reason I give four stars is because of the lack of any food after a certain point. Was really looking forward to a burger. Highly recommended!

A double Ketel soda was $2.25 at Happy Hour. Need I say more? I also had the jalapeno/blue cheese burger and it was SO AMAZING! Great service, ambiance, and drinks.

This place was recommended to us by locals for the best burgers in Cody. They weren't kidding! Not only was the burger great but you can get fried chips too - love 'em! You get to pick extras for on your burger besides the usual condiments. Then pick either fries, onion rings or fried chips. They put plenty of extra napkins in front of you, cuz they are nice and juicy. The staff was very friendly and service was prompt. After we ate inside at the bar, we moved outside to enjoy our frosty cold beer on the patio. We'll be back the next time we are in town!

Amazing burgers! Gotta stop here for a good meal if your visiting! Very very good menu!! Love their ranch dressing too, it's made in house and for some reason Im addicted! Friendly, clean, fast service, I come here every time I visit Cody.

I had originally came here on a geology trip back in 2008 and this year I happily made my return on June 24, 2011. Once again my brother Chris and myself drove on a geology trip for Pasadena City College. This was day 7 of a 13 day field trip and today we first did laundry in Cody and then we had about 3 hours of free time to spend in Cody. The two instructors (Bryan and Martha) of the field class plus my brother and myself decided to eat at the Silver Dollar for dinner. Now Bryan, Chris and myself were hungry as bears so the three of us ordered the $12 Silver Dollar Burger. This burger comes with a full pound of meat. Two patties, bacon, your cheese of choose, toppings of choose. I ordered my burger with grilled onions, pepper jack cheese and jalapenos. The burger came with fries. This burger was a beast and it's made with prime cut ground meat. I had to cut my burger in half before I could start eating it. The prime meat really made a difference and was very juicy and packed with flavor. I think they make their own fries because they look and taste homemade. Not greasy. Believe it or not the three of us ate all of our burgers and fries. Martha order the half pound burger. This is a great place to come to for lunch. They have pool tables and a full bar. On the window of the bar it reads "The best burgers in the west" and to tell you the truth I can't disagree.

GREAT LUNCH! We were in Cody for the weekend and decided to have burgers and beer here, based upon glowing reviews. Add ours to the list! My husband and I shared a burger (more than enough) and it was terrific, as were the "fried chips" - thick cut potato chips. We are middle aged, and to our very pleasant surprise, the young staff was extremely friendly and efficient. We sat at the bar and had nice conversations with the servers and the cooks. We'll be back for sure the next time we are in Cody.

I don't understand the service complaints, I was treated just fine by the cool (Dare I say sexy?! Well not to their face!) guys working the bar. More importantly, the burger was fantastic, I mean really great, juicy and cooked perfectly (cheddar cheese and romaine lettuce!). Plus good beer; loved it!

Amazing burgers! Have the 1/2 lb Blackened Burger... OMG... juicy, delicious, cooked to perfection nom nom! Bf had Philly Cheesesteak... delish too! Cool open outdoor seating area. Definitely coming back! Highly recommend :)

What a great place! This is one of my favorite bars in Cody. Our server was very prompt and friendly, my beer glass was never empty without a new one standing by. She recommended a regional brew to me that I'd never had (I forget the name at the moment) and when I took the first sip I found that she got my taste in beer down perfectly -- it was exactly what I was looking for. The burgers are big and delicious, one of the top burgers I've had. The bar also has a spacious back room with pool tables, air hockey, and other games. If you're looking for a burger or a place to hang out in Cody, this would be a good place to go.

I put my time in here...and more than a little of my hard earned $$. Most of the time sitting in the main bar or outside, I found the area where they had the live music to be rather crowded on busy nights. Most nights during the summer are pretty busy here, especially before and after the rally in Sturgis as folks extend their road trips to take in charmers like Cody and Yellowstone. They have a good beer selection and the service may be a bit spotty but ehh it's still tops in my book.

THE bar to go to in Cody. Fun almost every night. A place to meet tourists and locals. It has friendly service, an alright jukebox and pool tables and air hockey.

stopped in on our way from sturgis to sacramento, they had outside seating and let us bring our dog in. the waitress, molly was fantastic, also the waitress who took over for her, but i can't remember her name. we had the shrimp, onion rings, and fries. They were huge portions and delicious. they also had live music, which sounded good. I would not hesitate to stop in again and probably will on my next trip.
