Amazing place. Great food, great service, great time! Never disappointed. Wade is fantastic and all his employees are happy and have great attitudes

We had a great experience! The waitress was extremely nice and helpful. My husband had the Fulton ribs and they were delicious. I had the pulled pork and it was really good too. The quality of food and the price you cannot beat it. We each had 2 drinks and our meals and it was under $44! We would recommend this if you are passing through!

What a treat. I have to tell you that Kassy is a great wait person and made my evening, thanks for calling the cab and all the great suggestions. My steak was cooked perfectly and the taste was awesome. And that potato, wow. Good beer selection, a few more IPAs would be nice. The wine I chose was amazing. I will eat here again. ;)

Out of the many open tables available (with many near windows,) my son and I were placed at the table *right* next to the bathrooms. While we were offered a different table after I commented how close we were to the restrooms, it was apparent she thought we belonged at this table because she made no move to remove the silverware she already laid down. A table like this should be the absolute last resort to seat people. We got to experience the "pleasant" foot traffic and interesting aromas filling the air. Very appetizing, indeed. Since we were so close to the facilities, I decided to see how clean this place is. Unfortunately, there was a wet floor sign in one of the stalls with wet paper all over the floor. The other stall was unflushed. As and added bonus, I came back for the server to deliver our meal without giving me my salad. Not impressed. The steaks were flavorful and cooked properly, but the sides were kind of paltry. This place is pricey for the lackluster service. Thanks, Wyoming Rib & Chop House, for a literal "crappy" experience. Next time I'll spend my money where it's appreciated.

I had the baseball cut 10oz sirloin and it was amazing! It really looked like a baseball size amount of meat and the glaze on top was perfect. I ordered it medium and it was perfectly cooked. The crabmeat stuffed mushrooms were great too.
(4)Jen L.
Manhattan NY steak had no flavor. That's so sad I was so looking forward to my steak. The fish and chips were ok. The salad was great. The atmosphere is great though. Friendly staff. They seem to be extremely child friendly but still has an upscale feel. I won't come back but I think people should at least try it once. Don't get the flavorless steak though!!
(3)Josh S.
Awesome atmosphere. Great food but still very casual. Our waiter (Matt) was great; spent time filling us in on the area and was very engaging about why we were passing through Cheyenne. I've had better steak, but very good and a great value for the prices. Definitely get the shrimp with mango jalapeño sauce app...amazing!
(4)Darcy F.
When in Cheyenne, a not to miss .... I was in town for business and looking for a place to have a good steak and just happened upon this cool little joint! I have never had a better filet mignon! I think I will now demand that on my steaks be served on a burning hot plate from now on. It was so awesome to have my steak be hot from first to last bite. The staff was awesome too!!!!
(5)Danny M.
Really tasty Hand-cut prime rib......and a pretty great beer selection, what more can I say. Welcome to Cheyenne!!!
(5)Lehia D.
My husband and I had our Valentines dinner at the Chop House this year. We just moved to the area, so it's always a challenge finding new places to go. Hands down this steakhouse was wonderful. We spent a pretty penny but it was worth it. Usually when we go to steakhouses we leave thinking we could have cooked the same thing on our grill BUT this was the BEST! You will not be disappointed!!!!!
(5)Natalie B.
One of the worst steaks I have ever had. And I have had my share of steaks. No flavor and really tough even though it is medium rare. I would NOT recommend this place.
(1)John M.
I had no quarrels with this establishment, they were able to hook me up with an Arnold Palmer and a delicious burger and our appetizer was good as well, I think it was some kind of crispy shrimp dish.. Anyway, if I ever find myself in Wyoming again, I'll make an effort to check back in to this place.
(4)Lizzy R.
We love these guys. Best restaurant in Cheyenne! The food is yummy and always fresh, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is modern, clean and cozy. We are always excited to bring guests with us and we haven't gotten one bad review. Oh and their lunch specials are fabulous! Sorry this review is all over the place. Basically, try it, you won't be disappointed. p.s. Try their gumbo or seafood bisque soup!
(5)Melissa M.
When we went here it wasn't good at all. It took forever to get us drinks the server forgot about us we had to ask 4 different people for a high chair for my son. When we finally ordered it took forever and on top of all that our food was cold I got bbq shrimp and it tasted nothing like it I had to ask the waiter if it was my correct order it was good. Didn't get refills. It was just a horrible experience and it's pricey I feel like I wasted my money going there never again. Not worth it.

I wanted to give this place 5 stars, I really did, but just needs some rough edges smoothed, particularly on the service side. The restaurant is housed in a beautiful historic building in downtown Cheyenne, that was the Lincoln dealer for many years. Plentiful parking is available behind the building. Greeting at front desk if you enter from the rear is great, if you want to sit in the best part of the building ask to sit up front by the bar area. The area in the back is dark and kind of blah. We were sat at our table quickly and told someone would be with us but then ignored for about 15 minutes, eventually flagged some one down, who seemed upset that we woulld dare to disturb her routine! Our server finally appeared a few minutes later and apologised, from there things picked up and we were treated well. The food is interesting and varied. Fried green tomato burger is delicious and huge, fries a little over salted. The steaks are OK, nothing great, could use more seasoning and a bit tough considering the prices. Atmosphere was great, can be a little noisy when busy, but to be expected in the bar area. On the whole a good experience that could have been great with some more focus on food and service.
(4)Stuart C.
I've eaten here a handful of times. So I've seen how its changed in service from the first time they opened to now. As far as the building goes, its newer and location down town is nice. The bar area has the best view of the downtown of any place to eat in the city center. The wait staff is bumbling and not super responsive at the bar itself, but the table wait staff seems responsive. The food is meh but a nice change from the other places in town as the seafood options are pretty good and the " of the day" appetizers and specials change frequently. Some of their menu items feel over spiced/sauced. Nice beer selection and the mixed drinks are pretty good too.
(4)Jerry B.
Went here on the recommendation of the front desk staff at our hotel. We loved it. My New York strip steak was one of the best I have ever had. Planning on going back the next time we are in Cheyenne.
(5)Rick W.
I was a little miss lead by the name thinking this would be more of a steak house with some local flare. I found it was more of a restaurant that seemed to be seeking the more uppity crowed. The food was good in spite of my disappointment of the atmosphere.
(4)Jessica B.
Typical steak/chop house. Great atmosphere, good service, and good food. No complaints.
(4)michael b.
Love this restaurant. Favorite place in all of Wyoming. Great food, great atmosphere, always friendly staff. Great deal as well for the quality of food.
(5)Brian M.
Constantly busy, the hostesses can be a little snobby , the ribs are ok but pricey for a wee rack, the seafood fettuccine is tremendous, smoked chicken wings are very good. Very expensive.
(2)Carol M.
Reservations appeared to be a guideline only. Waited for 20+ minutes to be seated. The bar was boisterous and not very enjoyable. The food was above average however the wait staff failed on several levels. We had to make repeated requests and failed to ever get the coffee we ordered after the meal. It was as if there was no real clue between waiters, hostess, and even the "manager" appeared to be clueless....or maybe they just simply do not care about the service they provide. It will be a long while before I return for dinner. Obviously there are other establishments that aim for a higher level of service.
(3)Terri B.
My husband and I had dinner here recently. It was a bit confusing getting to the dining room as the sign on Pioneer said "Entrance" and we ended going thru the bar. So park on the west side in the parking lot. I think a manager was hosting and seemed a little disorganized. The young lady that took us to our table was a little to perky. Once at our table the wait staff was awesome! The salads were the perfect portion. Our entrees were not as stellar as the service we received. My pasta was over cooked, the shrimp was under cooked and the sauce didn't have much taste for a Jambalaya. I tasted my husbands gravy and could taste the flour. So I think the cooks need to be more careful. Although there is a small dining area off to the side, one of the managers chose to do a new employee orientation in the main dining room. We will go back because there are so many more dishes we'd like to try.
(3)Jen S.
I hate to be a downer but we've had a mediocre experience all three times we've been here since it opened. On the first our burgers were so overcooked they were hard to eat. On the second my Caesar salad had warm lettuce and the meat on top tasted like it had been reheated. My husbands pulled pork sandwich was soggy. On the third try the ahi tuna was decent it just came with this awful sauce that had too much wasabi and a bland salad. Our bill for two was around sixty dollars! I'm sorry...I tried to like it! We'd rather go somewhere else...
(3)RaeLynn M.
I've been there twice and have to say I won't be going there again . It's seat yourself seating in one part so your literally standing in the bar watching and waiting for a table . Then once you get that table you better hurry and sit down at your unbusted table before the next person on the other side of the room steals it from you . I complained and they told me to call ahead for a reservation . So of course the next time I called right when they opened at 11 am to make an reservation for 6:30 and they told me the soonest they had open was 8:30 so sadly once again I had to go to the other side and watch for a table so my mother could see what all the rant and rave was about . My other complaint that I have is tonight special was a Ribeye so we asked the price and they said it was $36.00. Which shocked all of us because the ribeye in the menu was $26.00 . Since when is a special more expensive? Beware this place is robbing from innocent people because they won't tell you the price of the special unless you ask . It would've been an extra $70.00 from my table of seven if I didn't asked the price and just assumed That is was cheaper because it was the special like everywhere would've been .

Surprisingly, I'm the first to leave a review of what is reportedly one of Cheyenne's newest and nicest restaurants. A upscale restaurant in a beautifully renovated building in downtown Cheyenne, the menu includes a large selection of steaks, ribs and seafood as well as traditional favorites like chicken fried steak, salads and burgers. Entrees generally range from $12 to $25. My rather large chicken fried steak was average in taste but the garlic mashed potatoes and dinner salad were excellent. A slice of blueberry-topped cheesecake was outstanding. My meal, including sweet tea, was $20, before tip. Service was excellent and attentive. Atmosphere was good, though lighting was a little low and music, a little loud, for my liking. My business here is done tomorrow but I may come back for lunch tomorrow to try something else on the menu and for comparison to supper tonight.
(4)Quee G.
The pork chops are soo good! The steaks are scrumptious. Maybe not the absolute best I've ever had, but close enough! Oh, and the ribs! The ribs just melt off the bone and it's nearly impossible to not suckeverything off the bone. Given the high quality, the prices aren't unreasonably high.

While in CO for a business trip, we headed up to Cheyenne for the day. While antique shopping, this was the recommended restaurant. We started with fried green tomatoes (amazing) and thai shrimp (just ok - tossed with sweet chili sauce an served over fries which seemed odd). We all ordered steaks - me being the only one who had the open faced steak sandwich with au jus. We all really enjoyed our steaks. The only downer to the meal was that we had watermelon martinis that were supposed to come with a sugar rim, but all of ours were topped with a SALT rim. A little disappointing.
(4)David L.
Tonight was our first trip here. The staff was very friendly and the food was great. The only issue we had was they forgot to bring our soup and salad until after we had our entrees. Not a big issue as things happen. Overall it was great food and a good atmosphere, we will be back!
(4)Sara W.
Loved it! Great food! Great atmosphere! Great wait staff! Try the alligator it's really tasty! We loved the chicken fried chicken and the ribs. Soooo good! Also the fried fish was great! Really loved it! Will definitely come back here.
(5)Glenn G.
I don't post many reviews, but I have to give a mention to this restaurant. I had one of the best steaks ever! As mentioned in previous reviews, I spend a lot of time TDY (military version of biz travel). This place is now on the top of my list for best steaks. OUTSTANDING service from our waitress Meryl! Way to go with those specials!
(5)Jerry G.
arrived into town late 9:30 pm on 7/20, after checking into Hotel we were trying to find a place that was still serving. Nearby Outback had closed and rejected us. Hotel staff recommeded the Rib & Chop House, we got there about 9:45pm and were thinking they are either going to refuse us or provide poor service as they are trying to close up. However the exact opposite occured, only a few patrons remaining at the time, but we were warmly welcomed, immediatelly seated and received very attentative service from the hostess and waitress. Ordered pork chops and rib eye steak entrees with sides. Food was very good, big portions, reasonably priced, and cold beer. Couldn't ask for more especially at the end of a long travel day. Would definitely return.
(4)Jeremy S.
Very good food and friendly service. Includes a 20% military discount. Probably the best steakhouse in Cheyenne. I recommend the pork chop sandwich.
(4)Maxwell Y.
This is a five star for Wyoming. Amazing Lamb Chops. Great Pork Chops. Great margaritas and good selection of beer. Sides are okay, but honestly, one of the better steakhouses in Cheyenne.
(5)Joleen G.
Excellent ribeye. The fried green tomatoes are yummy! The ribs are good, I like the sides. I've ate here a handful of times and it's been good every time. It's always busy and hard to get in to, and there is good reason for that, it's good!!
(5)Renee J.
Our new lunch spot! Everything we've had is good, fish, salads, steak, but our favorites are the spinach dip and the shrimp po'boy. Great service, we are so happy to have a new option in the sea of national chain restaurants in Cheyenne!
(5)Crystalize R.
Make a reservation because this place gets packed! The hostess, wait staff and bartenders all seemed to be doing a very good job and upbeat which made the atmosphere nice. The food was bland and the chicken I ordered had a huge stem of basil plopped on top, no basil. They must have run out and were getting creative. I sympathize with another reviewer, my husband ordered the ribs and we both agreed they were not good. Best part about the restaurant is all the beers they have on tap.
(2)John A.
First and LAST time eating @ Rib n Chop House!!! Was looking Forward to good meal and got served SLOP. There were 7 of us and we decided to try 5 different meals and share them and the 2 kids got kids meals. The restaurant only had 3-5 other customers and the food took 45 mins to come out and was COLD! Then we ordered a warm brownie with ice cream and the brownie was so hard we couldn't cut it with a knife. Needless to say I had to give 1 star to leave this but they didn't deserve the 1 I was forced to leave. Are service was very good and the restaurant is beautiful and welcoming.
(1)Jill M.
I was so excited that there's a new, up-scale restaurant in Cheyenne! However, I was a bit disappointed. The atmosphere isn't as nice as I expected; it's nicer on the outside of the building than on the inside. The food was good; but I was hoping for exceptional. The baked potatoes are colossal, but the skins weren't seasoned at all and the result was somewhat bland. The service was fine, but again, not exceptional. The only thing that was exceptional was the price - it was quite high, especially considering that you can find the same level of food, service, and atmosphere elsewhere in Cheyenne for less.

Just finished my first dinner here and I gotta say, I am not very impressed. You would think after CFD they would have the kinks worked out. Not a very good first experience and I won't be back. We got there shortly after 5....was told it was reservation only on the weekends but could go in the bar and it's fcfs. Wow. We waited for a good 45 minutes and as soon as a table opened up a rude couple that came in 30 minutes AFTER us and waltzed in front of us and took the table as we were getting ready to sit down with no apologies! No staff asked us if we were ok or to even let us know a table would be clearing out soon. I am a disabled veteran and had to stand for 45 minutes! As we were getting ready to leave, a table next to us came open so we decided to stay and order a meal. It took another 15 minutes to get our table wiped off, another 15 minutes to get menus and silverware. Was never asked if we wanted water. Took 10 more minutes to get our iced tea. Ceasar Salad came....HORRIBLE...wilted, limp and warm. Our meals came about 20 minutes later. The filet I had was a good size but it was so so in flavor. Baked potatoes had a funny taste....could not eat it. Asked for a refill of my tea. As I watched our waitress bs with other staff and it was 20 minutes to get my refill, had to grab another waitress to get my drink. She finally brought us the check but didn't bother asking if we wanted dessert WHICH WE DID but were too exasperated to wait for it. We had already been there 2 1/2 HOURS!!! Never again! The "family friendly" seating in the bar is the most disorganized and chaotic thing I have ever seen!!! Felt like I was tossed into a Gladiator Ring! There is no way to keep track of which group of people came first so it is a fallacy to tell patrons it's first come first served! I seen many people walk out disgusted because of the same reason we were going to walk out - rude people snatching a table from them as they were also there first and were getting ready to sit at a table and had it taken from them!. I will spend my money at T-Joes...the food is way better as is the wait staff!
(2)Sara L.
Despite a few times when we couldn't get a table, our food has always been delicious and service is spot on.

I stopped by the Wyoming Rib & Chop House after picking up my girlfriend from work. We placed our order to go which should not matter. The people working were friendly and helpful. The ribs were dry and almost flavorless. The garlic mushrooms had in garlic just mostly water without any flavor. The French fries were soggy and limp. The supposed BBQ shrimp was not BBQ at all and tasted like rubber. The mashed potatoes were probably the worst part. They were instant not real fresh potatoes. The salad dressing was not bleu cheese. In fact we don't know what the hell it was. The salad itself was the only acceptable part except for the croutons. The croutons had a funny taste to her. Needless to say we are not #chopoholics and will not be returning. Al least the dogs enjoyed a meal. Not a great meal nor even good by anybody's standards, but a meal none the less. The problem is that the food is kept in a steam table and not prepared fresh. A twenty minute wait time and $42 later and still nothing. The ironic part is that my girlfriend could have prepared way better ribs, better potatoes and shrimp that does not remind me of the Indianapolis speedway. I can't begin to imagine spending that amount of money on something that a hospital would serve. Restraints should be fresh not frozen. I would like to know where they get the nerve to say that their ribs are award winning. Maybe if the taste buds were removed they would be. I am also glad I did not try the salmon which was supposedly flown in from chile. I bet $42 that it is from the frozen section of Walmart.
(1)Tony H.
The food was expensive and not worth the price. The menu has 3 steaks; sirloin $19, Ribeye $24, Buffalo Ribeye $34, for a steakhouse I would expect a bigger selection. I had the Ribeye, not impressed. Much better steak if you bought it from Albertson's and cooked it yourself.
(1)Matt L.
The service was amazing and the food was excellent. I like the fact it was tastey. Also, I got the fried chicken which was excellent. Would definitely go again.
(5)Spencer Y.
I have been to this restaurant 4 times now. The first three times were good, and the food ranges from great to ok. Today I ate here and ordered a burger, the rest of my group ordered burgers as well. Everyone else but myself received their food. Everyone received cold fries as well. The waiter or cook forgot to make mine and I waited 10 minutes until mine came. When it finally came, the medium well burger I ordered came cooked rare and smashed as if they tried to flash cook it on the grill for 1 minute. Our group also asked to pick up another tables tab which is another company we work with. The waiter approached the other table and told them we wanted them to pick up our tab on accident, luckily they took the miscommunication as a joke. However when we are trying to be generous this takes away the sincerity of it. Management and the entire team needs to get their game together to avoid all these issues. This place has great potential, but it's inconsistency like this that can tarnish a restaurants reputation.
(3)Julie S.
This was our first trip to the Rib and Chop House and it was a disappointment. There were 6 of us and we had problems on 3 orders including 1 that was altogether missed. Side dishes were wrong but when they brought the replacements they were wrong too. My husband's steak finally arrived about 10 minutes after everybody else's food came and it was rare instead of medium rare. He didn't send back because he didn't want to wait any longer. They were apologetic but never once offered to comp anything. I expected a manager to visit our table after all the problems we had but that didn't happen. No one asked us about our experience and certainly nothing was done to encourage us to try them again. We thought we paid a pretty steep price for below average service and mediocre food.
(2)Melanie G.
Such great food! Awesome ribs! We actually used Yelp to find this place. I had the pulled pork sandwich which was delicious and then I had to try some of my husband's ribs and they were awesome. Yum!! We will be back!
(5)D S.
More like 3 1/2 stars. Going through town we stopped for dinner. The place was nice, really busy as we were leaving. The service was great and prices were reasonable. I had Ahi and my partners had steaks. Everything was overlooked which with Ahi makes for really dry fish. I would stick to the lower end of the menu and not give them the opportunity to ruin a good ribeye.
(4)John H.
Nice restaurant downtown, which was very popular for a Wednesday night. We had sat at the bar, spoke to lots of friendly locals. Pros: food was excellent. My wife had a salad, chicken fingers, and mashed potatoes. I had the shrimp Alfredo, because Wyoming is so well known for its seafood...! Kidding aside, it was really good. They appeared to have lots of beers on tap and several are local. Several big TVs with sports on. Cons: the female bartender was the worst. When I asked for the local beers, she pointed at a sign that didn't even list the actual beers, just the brands. She then walked away and never came back. The male bartender was better, after we waited a long time waiting for her to return and just flagged him down. I'd go back here for sure. Good food, location downtown, and chill vibe. Casual attire.
(4)Dave R.
This is probably the best restaurant in Cheyenne. I have been here numerous times with clients without issue. Today we all had the 1/2 lb. Burger special ...all of which were cooked correctly- to the right doneness. This is no surprise, as I have never been disappointed with a meal here!
(4)Kyle K.
My favorite place for dinner in Cheyenne! It's right downtown in a cool building. A top notch menu selection ranging from chicken fried chicken to buffalo to various selections of seafood; and of course steak! Ribeye is great, so is the filet. If you are in the mood for a pork chop, that's good too. What I like about the food is that it is NOT over seasoned! Get the side salad with the citrus vinaigrette. I need to try the Cedar Plank Salmon sometime. The smoke wafts in the air when it's brought out. Also, good selection of rotating beers (Snake River Brewing, New Belgium, etc.). I've always sat at the bar for dinner and the staff is attentive. I'm not sure how the dining room service is. As for dessert, guy next to me had the creme brûlée. It must be good because when he finished, he told me he wished he ordered two!
(5)Nancy H.
As soon as we saw the exterior of the restaurant, we got excited. Compared to the rest of Cheyenne that we saw, this looked the nicest and most upscale. We were seated a bit earlier than our reservation at a comfortable table and noticed immediately how welcoming and charming the staff was. We were impressed by how knowledgable the few staff members we encountered were; not only about the restaurant but the town and history of Cheyenne. We started with the fried green tomatoes appetizer which was my favorite part of the whole meal. One of the top appetizers I have EVER had. Highly recommend adding it to your dining experience! For entrees we had the buffalo ribeye and regular ribeye. The buffalo ribeye, which was highly recommended by the waiter, was nothing less than amazing; cooked perfectly, tender, juicy, and flavorful. Our waiter encouraged us to try the paradise sauce with the steak which was very tasty, but the sherry flavor was a bit overpowering; especially when members of our party had told the waiter that they were sober. The awesome baked potato loaded was a winner along with the beer & cheese soup. We were not disappointed in anything we tried and enjoyed our experience immensely!!
(5)Mike B.
Upon entering the restaurant, I found that there was at least an hour wait. If you're planning on coming here, it's best to make a reservation. The gave me an alternative of sitting in the bar area. The entire area is open seating. I opted for finding a seat in the bar area. The service in the bar area was of the same quality as it is in the main restaurant. My only complaint is that the drink refills could have come at a more frequent rate, but after my glass was empty, it wasn't all that long before it was refilled. For dinner, I had the whole rack of ribs, which I would say were among the best tasting ribs I have had at a restaurant. They were prepared perfectly, and the side order was Squash Casserole, which was wonderful. I opted for the soup instead of the salad, and chose the Beer Cheese soup. It was great too! I would recommend this restaurant, but make reservations first.
(5)Jake P.
This is a 3.5-star review mostly based on the quality of the steak I received. Perfectly-cooked rare fillet is not the easiest thing to do, but it was right there where anything that should have melted has done so, with a nice sear and a beautiful red color inside. I went with the smaller portion here just because I couldn't imagine eating that much food. The sides were solid but nothing to scream about -- the service was attentive and friendly, but again, there was nothing super-special here other than a very good steak. The desserts are hugely proportioned to the point where you really want to only order one for two people unless you have a serious sweet tooth. Even my creme brulee-type thing was served in a relatively large bowl, but that ice cream sandwiched between two brownies? MASSIVE. Unnecessary really. You begin to see why this part of the country can tend to have a size problem. Here, you end up paying a bit more for a faux-classy atmosphere that didn't work so well to me. All in all, a good experience I'd repeat, but I do think there are probably better values in town.
(4)Larry P.
We got a 20% military discount which made the cost reasonable, so mention you are either active duty or retired. This restaurant was shown as two dollar signs and it should be at least 3. The service and the food is good. We started with the fried green tomatoes ... wow! I could make a meal out of just this appetizer. Try the cheese soup, you'll like it. We had Chicken Fried Chicken and Ribs. While the ribs weren't the best I've ever had, they were good. The sides were great, and the desert was over the top. Give this place a try if you get a chance, you won't be disappointed!
(4)Jaclyn B.
If i could give this restaurant more than five stars i would. I've heard so many great things about this establishment. Decided to try for lunch one of the recommendations i heard it's less expensive. Great lunch menu. I had steak and potato entree which was an 8oz steak and garlic mashed potatoes you also got tbe choice of soup or salad. I had the dinner salad simple but delicious none the less. Steak was so tender and flavorful made my mouthwater after every bite. Also they cook the steaks on the plate you eat on at 500 degrees. The waitress told is it also keeps the food warmer. Garlic mashed potatoes were seasoned to perfection. For dessert we tried the silk pie it was so devine. All of the staff very friendly worked as a well oiled machine. I would recommend this awesome restaurant over Texas Roadhouse any day.
(5)Nicki J.
After working out some "new restaurant" kinks, this place is now hands down one of my favorite spots to eat. I would avoid the dining room because service always seems to be a little slow In there, however the service in the bar is always outstanding. My one and only complaint is the shitty top 40's pop music they play...WHAT GIVES?!?! If I'm having a $60 plus dinner, I don't expect to be hearing Katy Perry and One Direction. The atmosphere is 50% of the experience and that is so off-putting. Jazz, country, anything but that.
(5)Corrin C.
Stopped by this place on my way through town. It was a Friday night, so it was a little crazy, but I called ahead to put my name on the list. I got there an hour later and still waited another 30 minutes, but it was just because the place was packed. They did a great job seating everyone, though people with reservations take priority above call-ahead, so just know that they'll swing right ahead of you on the list when they check in. The bar also has open seating, seemed to turn over pretty fast. But I was holding out for a table. The service was prompt - there was plenty of waitstaff to cover down on everyone there, and they didn't seem frazzled or overwhelmed. I got a filet, and it was probably one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. Following the prompt of a previous Yelper, I asked for the "paradise sauce" on the side. And it was PARADISE. Drinks are well-made, and their happy hour made them very reasonably priced. I would definitely go again if I return to Cheyenne.

First time in Cheyenne and Wyoming. Wanted to make sure I try something local while I'm in town. Service was quick and friendly. Looks like they have plenty of beers on tap if you finish work and need a beverage. I ordered the ribs which came with my choice of a side salad and garlic mushrooms. The ribs were a bit goof and actually came apart with no issues. The sauce was decent but not my style.

We came here on the Friday night of the Memorial day long weekend. It was busy. Over an hour wait in the restaurant or we could try our luck in the bar. We were very lucky to get a seat in the bar area straight away. The service was good, nice man, didn't know a whole lot about the beers on tap. We were surprised to find that the salad that comes with your meal actually comes out before the main course but after the appetizer. The salad was nice, it's salad, we got the stuffed mushrooms for the appetizer, they were great!! Would get them again next time. I had the ribs with a side of loaded potato. The ribs were to die for, fell off the bone. The loaded potato was alright too. My husband got a steak with sweet potato fries, all round a pretty salty meal. The steak was just a little too salty but the meat melted in the mouth and the fries were good but far too salty.

Every time we have been there the service in the bar section is on point. Our food and drinks are always great and the bartenders are super friendly and great and making suggestions based on what we are craving.

Bought my second car at this place, glad they turned it into a restaurant. Delicious! Good price, good service & great location. I've eaten at many more expensive restaurants, but had a better meal here! Fried green tomatoes were worth every bite!

We stopped here for lunch on a road trip from Massachusetts to Washington. I chose this place because it had great Yelp reviews and I wanted a delicious steak. First, I was blown away by the lunch specials. I got steak, mashed potatoes and a salad for less than $12!!! Steak was done to perfection, salad was great and potatoes were outstanding. Second, we really wanted dessert but we're so stuffed from lunch. We left for a few hours to tour Cheyenne and then came back and got dessert! The ice cream brownie sandwich is ginormous and delicious! Third, the service was amazing. Both are our servers were nice, easy going and attentive without being over bearing. The general manager stopped by our table to check on everything and was super nice and professional. He even shook my husband's hand and thanked us for coming in. If I ever find myself in Cheyenne again, I will definitely be back!

Recently went here for the first time. Very nice atmosphere and decor. I had the ribs - they were delicious. I would definitly go again.

When traveling in Cheyenne, the restaurant option can be limited, I tried the rib and chop house and was surprised to discover that their lunch menu was very reasonable. I had the steak and potato with a side salad and the price was only around $11. The steak was very flavorful and juicy with just the right amount of seasoning to make it enjoyable to eat. The potato was mashed to a smooth consistency with also the perfect amount of seasoning. After lunch we all shared a satin pie, which the waitress claimed was entirely home made, including the whip cream on top, and it showed!. It was melt in your mouth delectable. I also found it interesting that the tables were covered with paper and a small container of crayons were by the salt and pepper shaker, the waitress wrote her name at the front of the table, and we all took turns coloring and doing little doodles while we waited for our food, which was really fast, btw. great place to visit while in the town of Cheyenne.

Best steakhouse in the state by far... The hot and crunchy shrimp are really good. Nice selection of margaritas and whiskeys... The 45 day dry aged ribeye is one of the best steaks I've ever had if you can get on. They usually release once a month ish...
(5)Jayne G.
Tried this on a local recommendation and YELP reviews. Not disappointed at all. Huge portions and friendly, attentive service. I'd be a regular if I lived here. Fried green tomatoes were a little heavy on blue cheese but quite tasty. Steak was tender and juicy. Reasonable price for what you get. Yummy

I come out here from Chicago for work 1-2 times a year, first time checking this place out. One of the best damn steaks that ai have ever eaten. I ordered the Buffalo Rib Eye rare and it was incredibly tasty. A must try! Great service, beer was cold and the food came out very fast exactly the way I ordered it. I'll be coming back here for another Buffalo Rib Eye next time I am in town!
(5)Aaron T.
Great food at good prices. BTW-it has free WiFi at 25MB speed. Great wine selection, good margaritas, good selection of Chops, Chix and Fish. Very impressed, good for business, family or just a casual night out. Friends and knowledgable staff to boot.

We researched before leaving Phoenix and found this newer treat. We visited friends who had never been. It was all outstanding. A 14oz pork chop was the best ever. We also tried the fall off the bone baby backs, rib eye and lamb chops and everything was perfectly prepared. Suggested-baby carrot shuffle. Call for reservations or plan for an hour+ wait. Amazing what an old car dealership can turn into with a little imagination.
(5)Scotty E.
Atmosphere was great and our server was excellent...the ribs were average...another member of our party had the baseball steak & that was excellent! The big margarita was great!
(4)Donna D.
Stopped here on the recommendation of my hotel. We are from the Chicago area and my husband claims this was the best steak he has ever had.
(5)Brendon C.
This place is ok. However, with a name like there 's in a place like Cheyenne you'd expect them to have beef ribs. I even called and specifically asked if they served BEEF ribs. I was told yes, only to drive an hour north and be told they only have baby back. Not even spare ribs?? Dang. The service was very pleasant but the food was pretty bland and smothered in some type of gravy. Typical Cheyenne food - heavy and bland.
(3)Maria Elena T.
The food was okay, not spectacular. The waitress forgot to bring our soup before dinner but she made up for it by bringing us two cups of soup to go. I had the Chop House salad. The sirloin was tepid and the lettuce room temperature.

Oh my gosh!! This meal was so good, I don't even know where to begin. Our hotel, the Hampton Inn, recommended this restaurant after we asked where to go for a good steak dinner. They did themselves proud! My daughter and I like to eat at the bar so we can mingle with locals. This was a near perfect experience. The bartender was excellent! She made me a delicious cucumber martini. My steak with truffle butter was cooked to perfection and my side of Cajun grits was spicy and good. As usual, we met friendly people at the bar who enhanced the whole experience. I would drive back to Cheyenne just for another steak at this restaurant!!

Probably the swankiest, fanciest restaurant in all of Cheyenne. My cousin recommended this place to eat for dinner and said it had only been open a couple months. Prices are your like your typical upscale steakhouse. I knew my siblings I was traveling with would enjoy a nice fat piece of meat so we walked from our hotel to this spot. We walked in and had no reservations. Apparently this place is so popular you NEED reservations to eat here for dinner! We we were able to sit in the bar area and have dinner and drinks. Since it wasn't really made for having a full on dinner, the table was tiny. We had great service, tons of great beers on tap (Summer Shandy!) and view of enormous TVs with sports on. The server appeared to not know what Dos Equis was, and she also served my brother a lemon with his Corona...that is just so wrong. She had no idea, poor girl. We ordered the spinach & artichoke dip appetizer. It was great, but they salted the shit out of our chips that came with the app. All 3 of us found ourselves trying to clean our chips off. My brother ordered the 14 oz. pork chop T-bone, with fries and a salad. He ate everything and enjoyed his dinner. He was obviously uncomfortably full later and could barely bend over to try on cowboy boots without feeling like vomiting. Totally his fault. My cousin ordered the fresh grilled fish of the day (cod) which was served on a tiny bed of sauteed spinach. The piece of fish looked fried to me, and was very very tiny. She said it was too salty as well. And what did the vegetarian order? Sides of course. There was nothing vegetarian friendly. I had a side caesar salad, a side of mashed potatoes and a side of the squash casserole. Our server tried to recommend the soup/salad or potato combo once she asked if I was a vegetarian. However, none of their soups were meatless of course. The desserts were mostly homemade, except what we ordered, I posted a picture of the monstrosity. Surprisingly enough, they have a separate Gluten Free menu available.

After a long drive up from The Springs (Colorado) we were hungry and looking for something that represented local flavor. Sure the food is delicious, but it's really the best place to get a sense of the culture in Cheyenne. We had the fried green tomatoes, which were surprisingly good. The steak was perfect, and the service (our bartender was Liz) was first-class. I'd recommend sitting at the bar to get the 'best seat in the house' if you looking to absorb atmosphere.
(5)Jamette P.
Food is good, service is good. Fun atmosphere. Kind of on the higher priced side for us. This was a splurge.

Since this was my first time in Cheyenne Wyoming I did not know what to expect as far as restaurants were concerned. The Rib and Chop House was an outstanding experience.... Service was excellent with a Very comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommend the ribs as well as the stuffed loaded potato. All in all I thought the food was outstanding and if you're ever in Cheyenne... I would highly recommend this restaurant.
(4)Derek B.
Top notch, upper management on the floor. Food, service, atmosphere, all above expectations!

We come through Cheyenne on our way to South Dakota every year. last year was the first year in 15 years we did not make that run....this year we found that the town is Booming, new hotels, shops, galleries, Breweries.... its happening....then there is The Wyoming's Rib and Chop House !!!!!!!!!! OUTFREAKINGSTANDING !!!!!!!!!!!! on our way east we found this place on Yelp with great reviews....always the skeptic of such great reviews...... not this one....our first meal consisted of the Huge Rib Eye Steaks, Blue Cheese melted on top, KILLER......the Salads were fresh and crisp and the in house made dressing's were outstanding. our waitress was delightful and gave us Awesome Service. They also have a this text the Manager and they will visit your table , so we did , and got to meet her and share our love for this place, what a great Idea! We planned our Return visit on our way back. Trip 2, made reservations ( I recommend that for sure) When we arrived the same great welcome, we got our table and began looking over the menu.....I had to try their award winning Baby Back Ribs Full slab....my wife went for the huge Fillet, baked potato, I had fries, the ribs were outstanding, meaty, flavorful and tender...the actual temp of the ribs was much cooler than I would have served, but all in all OUTSTANDING. My wife's fillet was done to her perfection RARE... it was an incredible piece of meat that melted in your mouth... we also had the house soup that night which was GUMBO..... I took one bite and said This is REAL LOUISIANA GUMBO, SOOOOOO GOOOOD! Then we found out the owners are from Louisiana.... go figure.at any rate, we will stop and eat here anytime we are in that area. Side note, this place has a full Bar a Huge BAR...., a Decent wine list and several Beers, Mostly domestics and a few craft beers, No Heavy hitting IPA'S at all, no Stouts or real dark beers that go Great with steak, the Craft Beer snob in me has to realize that we are spoiled here in California with the best beers in the world, but Cheyenne is an hour from Denver where some of the best craft beers are brewed....The Beer Selection needs the most attention ... when you serve this kind of killer foods, Excellent Beers need to be available right beside them.
(5)Joe D.
Excellent new restaurant in the old Dineen Building downtown on Lincolnway. Not just ribs and steaks. We had seafood which they have flown in daily. Great selection of draft and bottled beer. Outstanding service, great atmosphere. We'll be back!
(5)Michael M.
Okay. I've eaten here twice. The first time I had the sirloin and it was excellent. On a Monday night I had the ribs and the were terrible. The manager admitted they were misprepared. I like this place and am wiling to try it again, but I won't order the ribs!
(3)Mark H.
This place was born in Baton Rouge and has roots in good southern seasoning ( think Cajan, Creole or Jamaican). For me the special aspect is the helpful and friendly staff and the high qualify entrees. The beef is dry aged 45 days and the sea food is flown in fresh daily ( not frozen) from the Denver Fresh Fish Company. Suggestion eat in the bar; its more interactive. The Dining room is better for groups of four or more. A quality venue in downtown Cheyenne. Free parking on street and across the street in a public garage.
(4)Shell P.
To be honest, the food isn't really five star (it's good though), but the service was so incredible I have to give them five stars! My server was Tambra and she was fantastic, super attentive & friendly but not at all intrusive or annoying. Overall a terrific experience!
(5)Sara A.
Visited from Denver, and had a good lunch. Our waitress forgot a few items which ended up making my burger get cold while I waited, but it was a busy looking lunch so it wasn't a big deal. Sweet potato fries were great! A nice spot for a relaxing lunch.
(4)Ty W.
Food wonderful, well worth the stop! Service slow because there was only one person waiting on 10 tables.
(3)David D.
Excellent ribs, atmosphere, service, etc. Wish we had this place in California, but then they'd have to change the name. :) Highly recommended based on my one visit there.

This restaurant was a happy surprise! We ate here on our way east, and it was so good we stopped on our way back to Idaho. We had had a reservation for 8pm and they were prompt at seating us. I had their Chicken Marsala the first time and their scallop and shrimp alfredo the second time. Both were excellent! My husband practically crooned over his bbq ribs and he hardly ever says anything other than, "it's okay" or "pretty good". He had the carrot souffle also, which I agreed was delicious. I had a Snoqualmie Reisling with my dinner that was very nice. Almost as good as the Reislings coming out of the Finger Lake region in upstate NY. The servers were friendly. One showed our kids how to draw a cat/dog with 6 circles. They were all chatty and attentive. Our food came quickly and they checked in on us adequately. Both my husband and I would love to have a Rib and Chop house near us in Idaho.
(4)Joanna B.
Delicious food--the steak sandwich was literally a steak on a bun! A little hard to chew, but perfectly cooked to order and good. Our waiter was a little spacey, but clearly enjoyed her job. 2 out of 5 because, while the steak was delicious, I had to trim it myself before eating it and from sit down to ordering food was about 40 minutes. Great place to go if you'd like to hang out with dinner, but not so much if you're in a rush.
(2)Chad B.
I have been here numerous times since it has opened and I have yet to have a bad experience. The food is consistently good, the service is always friendly and attentive. The only complaint I have is as a craft beer enthusiast and with so many high quality breweries here in Wyoming and Colorado, I would hope to see a more diverse and rotating selection of beers.
(4)Jo B.
Considering we popped up in the middle of the frontier days week this really was an excellent place. We were quickly seated our server was superb, if a little horse from speaking to so many customers. We had huge plates of meat and the lunch special of steak and garlic mash. Great, tasty and fast! Beth our server was more than helpful. Top spot in Cheyenne.
(5)Rich R.
My first trip to Wyoming Rib and Chophouse was excellent. I chose the lamb chops and they were cooked to perfection. Great serving size as well. Crab filled Mushrooms were good apps, and the strawberry mojito was wonderful. The service was good ( a little too excited maybe), but good. It isn't cheap but I for one, dont mind paying for GOOD food. I'd rather pay more money for this quality food than a little less for the normal Applebees garbage. I will be back, I'm sure.
(5)Hannah W.
Great restaurant in downtown Cheyenne. We ended up sitting at the bar because of the long wait but our service was great and so was the food! I had the whole rack of ribs with garlic a mashed potatoes and a salad. My mom had the shrimp Alfredo and I tried that as well and it was good. For an appetizer we had the crab stuffed mushrooms which I recommend. The sauce they come in is really good. The place was packed and it had a really good atmosphere.
(5)Kirsten D.
Came here during a business trip. I sat at one of the tables in the bar. I came here pretty early on a weeknight, but there was a small wait by the time I was leaving. I had the Buffalo ribeye and it was cooked to perfection and one of the best steaks I've had. Amazing.
(4)Danny B.
Well it must be good and hour wait for a table in the dining area. I am going for a belly up to the bar thing. Whiskey and steak how can you go wrong. For as crowded as it is service was quick . Started with the clam chowder, well it is Friday. Lol. Well had to opt for the gumbo which if you have it, have hanky close by cause your nose will be a running a nice spicey bite to it. Oh my Parmesan crusted garlic infused ribeye, all I can say is score!! Oh I should mention Blue cheese in that Parma crust. It makes it rock. Wow tender and delicious . Good nite.
(5)Kim P.
According to the other reviews, this is THE place in Cheyenne for good food and service. Maybe our issue was that we sat in the bar area for dinner. But, we would not recommend this restaurant. Although our waitress was very sweet, she was not well trained as a waitress...she just went through the standard motions; kind of acted like a high school girl although she said she was one week from her 21st birthday. The two steaks that we had were not prepared as requested and were not that good. Secondly, the carrot souffle side that I ordered was so hopped up with sugar, I could only take one bite. The bartender couldn't put together a Sazerac for me. ok, fair. But the Hendricks and tonic came with a lime. Who doesn't know that Hendricks is served with cucumber? I couldn't help but notice the bartender yanking up her jeans and wiping her nose multiple times. I hate to be so harsh in my review, but we had a very bad experience here for something which is supposed to be a nice restaurant.

Pricey but worth the price. Unique menu offers well prepared meals. We love the Fried Green Tomatoes and the Creme Brule for dessert.
(5)Maryn L.
It's not that hard to be a steak house in Wyoming. Not having a reservation on an impromptu Saturday night dinner was our own fault. They hostess was very sweet and told us it would be an hour and half wait. We went to a local bar to pass some time, after an hour and fifteen minutes we returned and after nearly two and a half hours we still hadn't received a table but the bar in the restaurant had cleared out enough we could sit there. The six of us had a difficult time conversing due to that. The calamari was delicious. So was the baseball cut sirloin. My "house salad" was clearly something I could have made in my own house. Iceberg lettuce with two thick cut onions was not my expectation. The sweet potato fries were icy cold and soggy. I got a second plate that was hot and soggy. As if they microwaved my previous plate. The drinks were outrageously expensive. The martinis were (in my opinion) lifeless and $4 for a bud light, while sitting in a bar, is ludicrous. Overall the atmosphere is lacking, the service, though sweet had no time management skills, the food could be improved upon, and the price was simply too high for the experience.
(2)Fredrick R.
I've been here before and had good food and service. We went on Saturday afternoon around 4 and sat in the bar. The service was extremely slow. We sat for 5 minutes with out wait staff despite them walking by the table. Once we ordered drinks, the beers showed up right away but the water took another 10 minutes. We ordered the fried green tomatoes to start which are always good. My wife's Dalrymple salad was pretty bad. One of the shrimp wasn't fully cooked. I ordered the Hot and Crunchy Shrimp which were greasy and probably cooked in oil that was a little too cold. I also ordered a house salad that showed up with wilted lettuce. If you go, stick to the main dining room and order steak. In my previous 3 visits, the service was good and the meal was well prepared. I think I just caught an off day/time. I will be going back to give them another try and will be making sure to avoid the bar area.
(1)Elizabeth B.
Yes! The rib eye, salmon, chicken fried chicken, pot roast, and pulled pork sandwich with jalapeño cheese grits, gumbo, mash potatoes, fries and a huge baked potato was so delicious. Definitely a must if you're in the area.
(5)Patricia P.
I've been here twice because I really wanted to like it. The establishment is nice and clean. But the food was not even close to being worth the price. I had the ahi tuna, it had way too much seasoning. So much that I could barely eat it. My next visit was the fried green tomatoes and there was a ton of sauce on it. I couldn't taste anything but the sauce. They need to learn less is more. The service was decent my first visit but the second visit was not horrible but not good either. I had to ask for EVERYTHING, a drink, to order, for my check. I hate having to flag down my server for service. I was at the bar top both times I went and they just seemed more concerned about gossiping rather than their customers.

Aw, Chop House. I had such high hopes for you. My husband & I headed in last night for our anniversary dinner, totally excited because (1) STEAK!, (2) we've been dying to try this place since it opened, and (3) the pictures we've seen of the food on Facebook, coupled with the gorgeous old building, lead us to believe we were in for an awesome experience. Alas. Atmosphere-wise, the restaurant was entirely devoid of personality; I told my husband it felt like we were eating in a model home. Nothing about the layout or decor matched the look of the logo; aside from a few framed prints on the wall, the main dining area is a big expanse of blank. It was like they were still trying to figure out HOW to decorate, if at all. They were also playing what sounded like pop music, which felt really weird, given the atmosphere. Country would've worked, but Katy Perry & Iggy Azaela? Not so much. Our server, while sweet, was super, super inexperienced. Not only did she forget to bring us our drinks, she also had to be reminded to bring us the sauces we asked for, we had to flag her down for refills, and she more or less would fly right past our table unless we stopped her. We also sat with our side dish plates/bowls on our (tiny) table for the majority of our meal, until one of the managers came by and grabbed them for us halfway through. The real bummer was the food, though. I'm not sure if it's because they don't offer it, or if our server forgot, but it was disappointing that there weren't bread baskets, corn muffins, or any sort of "pre-food food" available. My side salad was a sad handful of lettuce, two cherry tomatoes, and a slice of cucumber; my garlic mashed potatoes looked and tasted like they'd been microwaved; and both my husband's baked beans and clam chowder arrived in a sad-looking saucer with the contents sloshed and dried-up all over the sides. When our entrees arrived (we both ordered a baseball cut sirloin), we were told to be VERY careful because the plates were at 400 degrees. A great idea, because hey, who wants cold steak? The downside was that you'd get random bites that were still at 400 degrees, even after you'd been eating awhile. And ouch. Unfortunately, though their temperature game was strong, the steaks themselves were incredibly, incredibly bland. (I'd be lying if I said I didn't dip parts of mine in the ranch dressing still at the table from my salad.) Both steaks also came out with large, greasy puddles all over the plates, which, you know... nothing looks more appetizing next to a $20 steak than pools of grease. I know at least SOME grease is to be expected, but this level was over the top. We were given a free dessert in honor of our anniversary, which was super rad--and, coincidentally, it turned out to be the BEST part of the meal. I highly, highly recommend the Pecan Meltaway. LOVE YOU FOREVER, PECAN MELTAWAY. For me, my measure of a good restaurant is if I find myself looking forward to coming back; after leaving the Chop House, all I felt was disappointed that we could've gotten better food, better portions, and a better atmosphere at any other steakhouse in town, and at multiple points in the meal, we actually said aloud that we wished we'd chosen Steamboats instead. So, hey, Chop House; you're doing a great job of advertising and showing off your food... but now you've got to work on living up to matching it.
(2)Nic L.
Never been to Wyoming before and we wanted BBQ. The service was very nice, the pulled pork sandwich was amazing and the CCLT (Crab Cake Lettuce Tomato) was way better than you think it world be. Plus they have Snake River on tap. Definitely will be back!
