Sanford’s Grub & Pub Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

My wife and I drove up from Denver and as she put it when I told her I was giving two stars... "That's ok because the beer and the root beer were good" This food might be good if you've never left Cheyenne, but living in Denver I wish we would have gone to Subway instead. Service was good. Burger and steak were overcooked. If you live in Cheyenne, I imagine you don't have many choices so enjoy. If your passing through, go somewhere else.

The food is good, greasy, and filling, this is a place you probably shouldn't eat very often because I'd say 80-90% of the items are either fried or covered In cheese. Which once in awhile isn't bad. Now, the downside, is the AWFUL service and management! A group of six of us came In apparently during karaoke night, and without any thought, sat us directly In front of an amp that was so loud we couldn't even have a conversation. We asked to be moved, which EVENTUALLY happened after almost an hour into this nightmare, because apparently there weren't any open tables upstairs. Which for 8pm on a Wednesday seemed a little weird, and I was right. When they finally drug us upstairs, half-deaf, there were two, TWO other people In the main restaurant. So not only were we sat somewhere that should have required a little heads-up, it then took almost a full hour to move us to an open table, that had probably been empty for quite some time. Then the slimy manager stood behind the stairwell like a coward when we said we needed Something comped for the atrocious service, he eventually sent his regards on the bottom of our receipt instead of coming out to apologize himself. Dude needs a lesson In management skills. Anywho, food is ok, service SUCKS!

Gave this place two shots before I decided to write a review. Both times we visited we were a party of three. Three different meals on two occasions; six bad plates of food, and one of those was a hotdog? I, the manly meat eater, had all-you-can-eat rack of ribs the first time. Had to send them back after two ribs: dry, tough, chewy, and flavorless. I wanted to like them because it was all you can eat, know what I mean? My wife had fried calamari; terrible, about nine or ten tiny little calamari for 9 bucks. Tasteless as well. Our friend had a cheeseburger that was cooked to death. Don't know if this is a regional thing, or not, but a burger should not be gray colored throughout and dry as the Sahara. Gave this place another chance for redemption a couple of weeks later; same results. It is cool that they offer $1 beers with food, but you would be better off in the wallet just paying full price for beer and skipping the food altogether. They do have a good selection of beers on draft, which is the only reason I gave this place two stars instead of one. It is a shame because we only live two blocks from this "could be" cool place, but the food is atrocious. Part of the problem is the HUGE frigging menu. It has about 100 items on it. I think they need to pare it down and concentrate on doing about 20 items very well. What good is it if you offer a ton of choices, but most of them suck?

I used to eat here when I was unfortunately stationed in Cheyenne. I actually loved the Gas Cap and the buffalo wings were pretty ok (but the best in town). I liked how the food came on giant ass plates and you got giant ass silver ware. It was fun to go there with friends.

Sanford's gets high marks for interior decor. There is quite a bit to look at, but follows in the footsteps of TGI Fridays, Applebee's, etc.. memorabilia from the past.. The food was good. I had the Angioplasty. It was my first time trying deep fried pickles, and I have to say I was nicely surprised. Every item on this sandwich is deep fried, hence the name. I don't think that I'd eat here on a regular basis, but for a small western town with a ton of charm, this seemed to fit right in.

We went there on 6/12/11 to watch the NBA finals. The gal seating us did not seem very excited to be there, but did seat us immediately where we could see the game. Kaitlin, our server, was awesome! She made us feel very welcome there. We asked to watch the game, and she immediately brought over a bartender to get our game turned on. She was all over us whenever our sodas were low, and when we needed to pay. Food was O.K., nothing spectacular. The desert, Strawberry Shortcake, was awful! Don't order it. The ambiance was great, with an awesome view outback of passing trains. We will visit here if we ever come to beautiful Cheyenne again.

Excellent burgers! My wife and I ordered different burgers from the menu and then shared them. She ordered the Bourbonator and I ordered the Big Popper. Both burgers were 8oz. The Bourbonator came with Ham with a nice slice of Cream Cheese. The bourbon sauce that they put on the burger was delicious with a medium bourbon flavor that really enhanced the burger. Definitely recommend this burger. The Big Popper was also very good. It had sliced Jalapeño's with a slice of Cream Cheese. It came with a small portion of a raspberry dipping sauce that was sweet and took off the burn from the Jalapeño's. It was a nice contrast of heat and sweetness. We had a side order of Cajun fries and they were okay but not great.

We love this place for a no fuss dinner. Tons of beer on tap! The food has severely oversized portions so you can have it for a few meals and we love the jambalaya! The hostesses seem to be high school girls that aren't focused on customer service or friendly greetings. The waiters have always been descent especially for how busy it gets here. The kitchen gets backed up often but thats no surprise considering how many people this restaurant seats. This has become our "go to" place for non romantic meals or to grab a beer.

Sanfords never disappoints. Fresh hot food that has unique experience of flavors. Along with the creative names of the entrees. For example i had the kardiac arrest which consisted of a hamburger topped with pepper jack cheese, fried pickles, breaded onions, with ranch drizzled over it. With a side of freddies which are thick cut potatoes that are lightly breaded. You definitely get your moneys worth of food.

Food was fantastic. Waitress was too. Would love to have one of these in Springfield Missouri

Worth a visit. A very cool eclectic atmosphere with vintage style memorabilia everywhere. I opted for a burger on my visit which was very good but a tad pricey. 3 stars as the $1 everyday drafts advertised on the flyer they provided to my hotel were no longer offered according to my server. Also, skip the onion rings. Mine came out as a pile of onions with the breading falling off and could only be eaten with a fork. I left them. Looks like a fun place to hang out with friends for a night out.

Popper burger is so good!! French fries are awesome and you have to try the fried Oreos! Service has always been great & has a fun atmosphere

"Angioplasty cardiac arrest crash test dummy poor mans steak and shrimp finally spare tire" When a restaurant names its dishes like this, you will probably going need some Tums as dessert, and maybe just go a head and yelp for reviews for a cardiologist. My meal did full me up but in a way that all I felt was regret being compressed in my stomach. This place is a fun experience but I have now been there and done that. Next please!

The kids really enjoyed the fun menus and decorations. Had fun reading the menu and the food was pretty good too.

The Sanford's in Cheyenne is alright. The food is decent but every waiter I have ever had seems to be either new and know nothing or not interested in serving people. It is downtown and they do not have a parking lot so parking can be a problem.

Huge appetizer! Great onion rings but disappointing fatty steaks. Manager was kind enough to remove from bill but once its broke.

Tried to have lunch here today with wife and son. Saw they had 55 beers on tap and was way excited! Asked male waiter for a beer list and he showed me the menu that had the regular on tap and a little piece of paper with seasonal/rotating taps. I asked who the Armory IPA was by and he said O'dells. I asked him which beer had the highest alcohol content. He told me to ask the bartenders because he didn't know. I fired up the Armory and went back to talk with the bartender and I knew Armory was NOT from O'dells. Bartender said the Green Flash double IPA had the highest content and of course Armory is from Deschutes not OD. OK I'm a beer snob, I forgive! I ordered a Po' Boy and wife and son ordered burgers. We hadn't eaten all day and it was after 2pm. Starving! When my wife's burger arrived it was open face and clear as day there was a HAIR in her white cheese! My wife pointed it out right away and the waiter took it away with no apology. My wife reaches over to grab a fry off my son's plate and what is staring right at her on my son's fries? ANOTHER HAIR! So I run that back to the kitchen to show our waiter and he says oh wow I see it! 2 out of our 3 meals. I didn't get a chance to inspect my plate. Still no apology. He takes the plate, comes back out with my wife's same plate minus the burger and said he'd take $5 off! I asked the hostess to get the Manager and she came out apologized, comped the meal and asked if we would like them to redo the order. We declined and went across the street to 2 Doors Down and had a great tasting meal with nice, attentive employees and NO HAIR in our food!

Great place, probably the best burger I have ever had, good prices on beer, friendly staff, side dishes decent, if I lived in Cheyenne it would be a favorite haunt. Server compted the chips cause of the wait, which I didn't think was bad for being one of the only places open on the 4th. My other half said her burger was juicy and not dry, French fries crispy with flavor not to oily.

Good food Fun place to eat and some pretty good looking waitresses ;) I like the atmosphere here 'Junk' everywhere

    (4)
  • Todd S.

A typical chain restaurant. Nothing outstanding and nothing bad. The atmosphere is maybe it's coolest feature. It's like a flea market, garage sale and junk yard out all their extra stuff in the walls. The portions are huge!!!

Very fun place for an evening meal. We enjoyed the bar with the drinks and sports. Was able to get domestic beer along with their large selection of craft beer. Wait staff was excellent

We were a party of 10 ,they don't take reservations but I called ahead and they had a table waiting for us. The food was good and we had the best waitress, Alisha ( not sure on the name ). She was right there on the refills. I don't live here but when I visit I would come back.

Love this place. Good food really good beer selection. Always have a good time with the family.

  • Steven R.

Pretty good service but kind of expensive I do like it though very fast but menus are too BIG!!!!!! Not enough food for the price that you pay good food but I would like it a whole lot better if they had bigger proportions

  • J E.

Great brew pub with above average food. Burgers, chicken, steak (limited) all with a reasonable cost. Dint be mistaken this is a brew pub but with a sizable kitchen with a wide selection of food....just no specialization in any particular area. Plenty of TVs and the atmoshpere is perfect. If you ever have a reason to travel to Cheyenne, gotta try this spot!

    (4)
  • Raymond H.

This place has a fun atmosphere, came here for lunch and got the a$$ kickin salad. Portions were huge and food was real good. Also try the fried pickles and green beans!

    (4)
  • Christopher T.

Best place I've found to have a beer in Cheyenne so far. 55 brews on tap! Hardest part is deciding what to order whether it be a cold beer or a tasty burger! The decor alone will keep you entertained while you wait for your meal. Oh yeah, free peanuts are always awesome too!

    (4)
  • Jim R.

The place is filled with lots of cool stuff. Service is good, menu is huge and the food is ok. I had the Ruben.

  • Daniel S.

HUGH menu... FUN to sit at the bar... Check out the hair on the young punker at the bar...Biggest and cool colors on a mohawk i have seen. OOOO back to the food.... Fish and chips were GOOD, sweet potato fries to die for... Parking is an issue just like all downtown Cheyenne...

    (4)
  • Cindy C.

Awesome atmosphere and one of the BEST burgers I have ever had! I had the Bourbonator with cream cheese. I wasn't sure I would like the cream cheese but it was amazing! The sweet potato fries were prefect, crisp and fresh. Service was great and our waitress suggested many good choices/options.

Went for lunch on a Sunday...not busy but given a 15 min wait so we went to the bar. Decor to the extreme but very cool. you will see something new every time you go that's for sure. They WERE known for the $1 pints but were told that is no longer a special. They do however have $2 draft PBR. The menu HUGE in size and selection. We had the sirloin burgers which were amazing! Also have the beer battered mushrooms. The portion was large and they were freshly battered and fried. The service was also good...we will be back!

Had a Guaca burger and wife had nachos. Both were very good. Great burger and beer selection. Staff did not seem that professional but they may have been short staffed due to holiday weekend.

We made reservations months in advance for a military retirement, called to confirm on more than one occasion, then when we went to double check the morning of the event that was scheduled for the afternoon, we find that the venue was double booked and would be forced out of the room we had reserved after an hour and a half. Then when we arrive for our event, we find out that on top of not allowing us to have the room for the night, as was reserved, we weren't getting a full menu or a bartender like we had specifically asked for originally. Eventually they called in a bartender and a 2nd server, which were all polite and didn't mess up the tickets. However, this isn't the first time my friends and I have made reservations here just to have them messed up, forgotten, or altered without permission.

Cool place! Crazy, fun decor. $1 PBR pints all day, everyday! Huge menu (literally) and good food.

    (5)
  • Jennifer T.

I love that you can get $1 domestic or $2 import draft beers (up to 4) with any entree purchase. What an awesome deal! I came here for dinner with the intent to take advantage of this by drinking 4 beers but alas, with the heavy meal, I was hardly able to finish even one. I love the decor - very busy but fun, and the service is very friendly. However, all the food options are a bit too heavy for me. I got this chicken sandwich with guac which sounded pretty yummy but it was just way too much. I never had the KFC double down sandwich but I imagine it might have tasted something like this. On the other hand, my coworker got a taco salad and he loved it. It was, however, also the biggest salad I have ever seen in my life. I was scared for him but he finished it all. LOL.

If you want a drink from the bar and its 2:30pm on a Tuesday, June 24, 2014, and there is a older white guy working behind the bar, just order water. He has no clue what he doing behind the bar. I orderd a hurricane and he gave my straight voka with a splash of pineapple juice. Thats not wven how hurricanes are made. Then I order something else and gave me less liqueur and just juice. On top of that he was eyeing me down, if looks could kill I would be dead.

Definitely will be back! Wife and I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and got a couple beers and the queso dip, the pile burger, and the crocodile cristo. Everything tasted great and the service was very good too. I don't know why people complain about this place, we had a great experience!

Amazing sandwich items for lunch today. WOW good! 3 of us in with dif foods ordered. Great service and fun atmosphere. Great burger I had. Onion rings were best I have eaten. Will surely return.

Tried this place for the first time. The menu is HUGE! The portions are pretty good size too. The service was good. The quality of the food was yummy. I will definitely return!

  • Irene G.

My husband liked this place better then me. Beers are cheap, atmosphere is what it is. We were happy to watch Wimbledon We both had a burger and switched to buffalo. I thought the patty was overlooked Our fries were the bottom of the batch and cold as were the onion rings. I think if you want better food I would go across the street to the other burger joint. This place is mediocre at best !

This place is great! I have traveled all over the world, and being in Cheyenne, for an extended stay. This place is the place to eat and be! They got some great deals not all nights, but some nights. For example, .99 cent street tacos, and $1.00 pints of beer (served in mason jars). Although, the beer is Busch, Keystone, and PBR. But who cares, 1.00. The atmosphere here is really laid back, and with a southern cajun theme. If you like Po' Boy's I suggest that item. I even asked them to make it different than on the menu and wow! Was I impressed. Pretty good Po' Boy for this far north from NAwlin's The servers and bartenders are the best from what I have witnessed so far in my adventures in Cheyenne. They also are the one spot that is open later on Sundays in Cheyenne for beer and food, in this over-conservative community. I would recommend this place to anyone. The prices are reasonably compared to that of applebees, chilis type of establishments. I have been here a couple times, and I will keep coming back, as they never miss a beat.

    (5)
  • Brad n.

Fun atmosphere, great service, menu is huge (literally), but there are a lot if good choices. Had the muffuletta sandwich which was good. I will return when in town.

The crawdads weren't fresh, my daughter's burger was charbroiled on the outside and raw on the inside. The entryway inside was dirty and they were short staffed. Could be better

This place is one of a kind. Really good interesting food. The service was great & fast. Lots of beer to chose from. I really enjoyed the atmosphere & would recommend this place to anyone.

Stopped in today for lunch and to watch football. Good service and mushroom burger very good.

  • Renee H.

I enjoy this place. I have been twice for lunch when I have traveled to Cheyenne. The atmosphere is laid back and friendly. Both times I visited the place was pretty empty so beers and food were fast. I always sat at the bar area though. I'll go back.

  • Mary P.

I used to eat here ages ago usually for lunch. The menu offered several burger/wings type items and fried fare. I used to eat salads here which were also good. I remember that the best part of the place was the ambiance. You could stare at the stuff all over the walls for ages. I also think I had one of those weird tin-like large serving plates in my car thanks to a klepto-friend of mine. Good times at Sanford's.

    (4)
  • Eve L.

Sanford's serves up all-American, coronary arteries be damned, unbutton the top button of your pants type food. Sometimes, that's just what you need...especially after braving the outrageous weather and icy conditions of Wyoming. After an insane state-wide drive (en route from OR to NJ) that left us stranded in the Tetons all night due to a blizzard and spinning out twice on a 5 inch sheet of ice on Hwy 26, we needed the type of grub that Sanford's is slinging. Remember, this is a once-in-a-while eating experience. Eating like this on a regular basis is a known health hazard, so, buyer beware. Sanford's has actually figured out how to make even salad fattening; the "wedge" salad w/ dill oil/vinegar + ranch and bacon and buttery croutons. Tasty, of course. Their burger menu is huge and the toppings/combinations are quite clever. We had a bourbon BBQ soaked burger topped w/ cream cheese, sauteed ham, and onions. It was served up on a jalapeno garlic bread bun (buttered, naturally) w/ a side of battered, deep fried green beans (+ peppered ranch dipping sauce). The burger was awesome...who knew cream cheese was so great on burgers? The battered/fried crawfish were good, but a bit small for our taste (batter to meat ratio - not great). Sanford's strawberry short cake dessert is out of this world; freshly made buttermilk biscuits...deep fried. These are topped off w/ strawberries, fresh whipped cream, and vanilla ice cream! Our waitress Theresa was great...if your in Sanford's in Cheyenne ask to sit in her section! Again, if you're up for a major stick to your ribs meal, Sanfords in Cheyenne is the way to go. Prices are low, waitstaff is excellent, and ambience is clean/reliable.

  • Chad B.

If you want a greasy burger that is not good for you, but tastes great, this is the place. Good beer selection too. Larry in the bar is a character and the reason I keep going back.

    (3)
  • Collin R.

Great atmosphere. AWESOME selection of local and import beers. The food is very good and the service is great. Very highly recommend this place

    (5)
  • Paul E.

I wanted to like this place more than I did. Overall, food was relatively poor (my burger was overcooked and the shrimp penne had a small portion), and the service was similarly lackluster (appetizer came after the entree). Cute ambience, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend the place. I'm only passing through Cheyenne, but I'm sure there are better restaurants.

    (2)
  • Beth B.

Super unimpressed! Fun place to look around in but food is over priced and not that good... And service was sssslllllloooowww! We ordered the queso and it came out with a handful of chips. I requested more and was told it would be an extra charge. I agreed and chips never showed up. After paying $9.99 for queso you should provide bottomless chips! Our food took forever to arrive and I noticed tables all around were waiting a long time for food. Waitress was clearly in the weeds but no help arrived... And there was a huge delay between the five tables nearby ordering and food arriving. Sad when menu items are all well over $10

    (1)
  • Blaze L.

Haven't been here for a while, but went for appetizers yesterday. I was never a fan of the mega-oversize menus, but that's part of their gimmick. What did shock me was that the menus got bigger (if that's possible) and the appetizer portions got smaller (all of them), and the price stayed the same. My family of 5 ordered the crawdads, steak fingers, and mozz-sticks. Approximately 1/3 of the crawdads were soggy soft, and about 1/2 portion of what we normally got, the steak fingers were also half the size of what they normally were. Our waitress was super friendly and very accommodating as well. Overall, it was am eye raiser on the portions cuts, but the service was great.

    (3)
  • Jeff R.

OK folks in Cheyenne you don't know how good you have it. Really $2 Mirror Pond & Fat Tire drafts? Why is this place not swamped all the time?? The food is typical pub fair and pretty unremarkable when it comes to quality. That said the do have absurdly large portions. I mean like Japanese Godzilla irradiated freakishly outsized. Go for the great cheep beers - Have a burger bigger than your head - go home happy.

    (3)
  • Ansel W.

This place was highly recommended. Ordered a Caesar salad. On menu, said it came with chicken, tomato, olives, peppers and croutons and toast. Got salad, no tomato, no olives, no pepperoncini, no toast.. Finally flagged down waitress and asked for that stuff that was included on menu. She brought it, but I had to chop and assemble myself. when I asked her about the toast on the menu, she said exasperatedly, "What are you talking about?" So, OK salad, after I made it myself, but terrible service. Not sure if I would return.

  • John S.

Food is good, value is great, especially if you go on a Wednesday (kids eat free) and are military (15% discount). Seriously, go on a Wednesday; the kids meals are huge and awesome and free....What's not to like!?! The menu is a bit overwhelming (and heavy) so I recommend you take a few minutes online to plan ahead.

    (4)
  • Tina A.

We came on a Friday night and that was obviously a mistake. They were out of fish and ribs, we waited 30 minutes for our food, and our waitress was MIA most of the night. $1 beers would have been amazing if they'd have actually delivered them to the table. The table next to us actually got up and left because their waiter said the kitchen lost their ticket and they just put on his steak. If it wasn't for the yummy food it would have been a total bust!

    (2)
  • Stacy H.

they have a huge menu, super-cute and super-quaint decorations, and really delicious (and REALLY CHEAP!) drinks. the only thing that's unfortunate is their lack of vegetarian selections, but their only vegetarian pasta dish was pretty good.

    (3)
  • Ryan S.

Huge salads, like way huge. Free chips were pretty good. Was able to get Alaskan Amber on tap, huge plus. Parking can be kind of a pain since it's downtown. Waitress was very good and prompt.

  • Jeremy C.

This place has a ginormous pig-out menu. Our waitress explained that almost everything on the menu is fried and despite that their menu is 8 full pages, there is only 1 item that is vegetarian. Since I'm not a cardiologist I went for the cardiac arrest burger. It would have been great but they notably overcooked the burger itself. It was very dry. It came with a friend pickles, onion rings and some other stuff I can't remember. It's basically a side of onion rings stacked on top of the burger. It's not possible to actually eat the burger with all of them on it. Other than the fact that the burger was overdone, it was good. The atmosphere is busy and the service was OK. It's a unique place but not a fantastic one.

  • Celeste V.

The ambience...sports bar-ish. The walls are covered with old magazine covers, old sports memorabilia (I even saw a vintage picture of Ditka in the ladies bathroom) and everything else you could think of. The staff is friendly. The crowd mainly consists of regulars. The menu is the biggest I've ever seen, including the utensils. The fork is borderline dangerous, my colleague refused to use it in fear that he might fork himself. The menu items had us cracking up for a while...the names were very creative..."Raunchy Randy" and so on... We ordered the deep fried steak strips and the deep fried corn dogs. They were okay. I could have done without the weird raspberry sauce for the corn dogs, though. I ordered the sirloin with the rice and the cajun corn. It was okay. Nothing to write home about. Although I was able to take a couple of bites of the sweet potato fries from my fellow diner's plate and it was heavenly. The honey butter that came with the bread was also good. The highlight was the deep fried Oreo sundae. It was a layer of chocolate syrup, with battered and deep fried oreos, a scoop of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. I could have skipped the appetizers and the steak and had this instead. Go for the dessert.

While passing thru Cheyenne, we went in just for a drink and a t-shirt. A gentleman named Tommy helped us and show us around and gave us a little tour. Just going off his hospitality and the festive décor and atmosphere, we will definitely stop and eat next time we are in the area. Also, after looking at the menu and seeing the portions being served, value appears right on.

Not a single vegetarian entree, which was rough. Crazily decorated, and seriously, $2 beers. Can't beat that!

Walked in and this place was pretty much Shenanigan's. All the goofy shit on the walls. But they have a great beer selection with half of beers on Thirsty Thursdays. I'm sold! The food was alright. They have a huge menu that is a pain to look through and I ended up getting a salad. The salad was good, a little plain, but it was so difficult to eat! They served food in the camping style dishes. My salad came in a plate the size of a pizza dish so it was hard to eat. Alright food, mainly the stars are for the beer!

    (3)
  • Stephanie S.

Meh, their burgers are pretty decent...if you're ok spending the next 24 hours on the toilet. No joke, had the "Pants on Fire" burger covered in Bleu Cheese and Wing Sauce. Ouch. Salads are not-so-fresh, and a friend of mine asked for the "Crocodile Cristo" without cheese and was told the sandwiches come "pre-made". There is a sign in the front of the restaurant as well that says something like "Microwave in Use". Scary and true. Beer is cheap though and its a fun place to hang with co-workers.

  • Dan B.

Everything about Sanford's is big. The place itself is like seven rooms. There are easily 30 TVs in there including one per bathroom stall. The menu is eight pages of food and roughly the size of the Ten Commandments. And the food does its part to advance the cause of obesity in America. I got a straightforward burger since it was pretty much the only thing on the menu not deep fried (although it came with a mountain of fries- yum). It was real tasty although that probably had as much to do with the atmosphere (Cheyenne during rodeo week) as it did the food. Straightforward, nothing fancy. Just what I wanted after a long day's drive into Cheyenne.

The plates/utensils/menu were HUGE and the service was S---L---O---W. Went on a Sunday afternoon because 2 Doors Down wasn't open. Burgers were okay. There weren't very many people there but service still sucked. They also have an overwhelmingly large menu. I think instead of offering so many options they should pare it down and concentrate on making fewer dishes that are actually great. Just a thought. Oh well, if run of the mill bar food is what you like, this is the place for you.

The appetizers and the beer specials are good. The food is sub-par. The last time I went I got a salad, which consisted of a family size bag of iceburg salad mix and a chicken breast that was still rare. Not bad for a white trash date night, since that's pretty much what the restaurant is presented as.

Huge menu (literally and with the food selection). Food quality seems to vary by what you order and when you go. The retro/sport theme is kinda nice.

Went in on a Thursday night at about 730 with 6 guys looking to have a good meal before a night on the town. The waitress was friendly, but the managers were jerks. We all had one round of beers, ordered food, and proceeded to wait an hour and a half! We were having fun talking, so we didn't notice the time span until an hour after we ordered, they came out to ask how a steak should be cooked, as the food had not even been started! We then packed up and left without food. Doubt ill be back to that place for a while. Give them a chance to cycle out a few cooks, waiters, and managers. usually is one of my favorite places!

Awesome selection. Usually a wait time of 15-20 minutes.

Upgraded my rating upon my recent visit from 3 stars to 4 - was always a good option in Cheyenne for lots of options for beer on tap, had lots of food options, but had pretty slow mediocre service. I don't know if it's the change to real plates (from tin pie plates theme) or just our server last week, but they had the same great options for beer on tap with added drink specials, dinner specials, still good variety and quality of food, and our watiress was the most energetic and friendly person I have ever met while dining here. Will continue to go back for the food and beer options - will be happier in going now that they have real plates. I guess there's something about using real plates that I never realized I liked so much until the change.

Great family spot. Generous portions. Lots of beers on tap but only box wine.

  • Sondra C.

Standard bistro fare. Basically, it's a Creole style Friday's - right down to the melange of stuff on the walls. Sitting next to a wall of old, used shoes wasn't appetizing, but I really did like the sweet potato fries!

The Ester with sauteed mushrooms added was a sandwich consisting of 8 oz. hand cut piece of sirloin beefsteak smothered in the onions, sitting on 2 slices of a baguette which had been soaked in butter or oil and placed on the grill a little to long. If you are looking for 50 choices of beer on tap, and greasy hamburgers, this would be a good choice. I was looking for a good meal at a reasonable price, and this turned out to be a poor choice. Most of the menu items are fried, and the place is loud and crowded with gaudy memorabilia. The service, however, was very good, and the price was fair. I am from Louisiana, where the cajun style cooking is always good. I did not have the heart to try any of her cajun items from the menu, simply because I judged I would only meet with a disappointing Jambalaya or shrimp dish. Since this is cowboy and cattle country, I stuck with the beef sandwich, and was a little disappointed in that.

large beer selection and horrible food. I've never had such bad heartburn. In fact, I don't think Ive ever had heartburn at all until I ate here

Oh my goodness, if you are hungry while you are in town, head to Sanford's. You will come away stuffed without spending a king's ransom. $2 PBRs? Yes please. A half order of onion rings enough to feed 4 people? Yes please.

  • Jaclyn B.

We were a party of 10 ,they don't take reservations but I called ahead and they had a table waiting for us. The food was good and we had the best waitress, Alisha ( not sure on the name ). She was right there on the refills. I don't live here but when I visit I would come back.

The Sanford's in Cheyenne is alright. The food is decent but every waiter I have ever had seems to be either new and know nothing or not interested in serving people. It is downtown and they do not have a parking lot so parking can be a problem.

  • Unwanted H.

Best place I've found to have a beer in Cheyenne so far. 55 brews on tap! Hardest part is deciding what to order whether it be a cold beer or a tasty burger! The decor alone will keep you entertained while you wait for your meal. Oh yeah, free peanuts are always awesome too!

  • Nicki J.

I enjoy this place. I have been twice for lunch when I have traveled to Cheyenne. The atmosphere is laid back and friendly. Both times I visited the place was pretty empty so beers and food were fast. I always sat at the bar area though. I'll go back.

  • Stacy H.

they have a huge menu, super-cute and super-quaint decorations, and really delicious (and REALLY CHEAP!) drinks. the only thing that's unfortunate is their lack of vegetarian selections, but their only vegetarian pasta dish was pretty good.

  • Ryan S.

Huge salads, like way huge. Free chips were pretty good. Was able to get Alaskan Amber on tap, huge plus. Parking can be kind of a pain since it's downtown. Waitress was very good and prompt.

Awesome selection. Usually a wait time of 15-20 minutes.

Standard bistro fare. Basically, it's a Creole style Friday's - right down to the melange of stuff on the walls. Sitting next to a wall of old, used shoes wasn't appetizing, but I really did like the sweet potato fries!
