Great place, especially for Cheyenne. The food is good, the staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is nice. I have spent a lot of my life in the food industry an this place is a good value.

Very decent sushi place in Cheyenne! Excellent service, never have to wait. Great lunch deals! The jalepeno sushi appetizer thingers are AMAZING

Came in here for lunch, I was not impressed. The place was dimly lit, and had only a handful of customers. If this is the best sushi in town, I'll drive to Ft Collins for my fix next time. The thai I had wasn't impressive either. The service was okay, but the waiter wasn't very helpful when one person in our party asked for more information on a menu item. I wouldn't do it again.

Cheyenne has quicker restaurant turnover than Manhattan. So to find a restaurant here that is this good is both happy making and yummy. Serving both Japanese and Thai cuisine, including sushi and sashimi, we were pleased with both the quality and quantity of the food, and the service on all fronts was impeccable. I highly recommend this to both sushi and Thai food lovers. The atmosphere was nice as well. Thanks!

I've been to a lot of sushi places and this easily goes down as the worst quality food I've ever had. I ordered three different rolls and was disappointed by all of them. My friend ordered raw salmon, raw yellowtail, and raw tuna. After bringing out octopus instead of salmon, the salmon that was brought out was frozen solid. The quality of my rolls were horrible and the shrimp tempura was so bad I left it untouched after tasting one piece. I was not expecting the highest quality sushi while being in Cheyenne, but I was expecting to be able to at least eat the food. I'm shocked this place is still open.

As an Asian food enthusiast from the Dallas area, I will confidentiality say this is one of the best experiences I've ever had at any restaurant period. I used to be a waitress at a sushi/Japanese restaurant, so I know every little secret at sushi places and can tell cut corners when I see one. I CANNOT believe this place only has 3.5 stars... it's because of a lot of butthurt white people who don't know crap about Asian food and are looking down on the Asian staff as people who have no mental capacity.(An Asian restaurant with Asian staff??! That's always a good sign) Listen to me, I know what the crap I'm talking about and I don't hand out 5 stars to any ol' place because again, I know what goes on and can tell cut corners. Don't listen to those 1 star reviews, this place really is the best. The service was smiling and patient. Greeted immediately upon entering. Staff were in full uniform and clean cut. I always test servers by asking questions and striking up conversation. The boys had genuine good attitudes and knew their crap. They were happy to talk with me and laughed a lot, which shows that they knew English. They have accents, but 100% understandable. They passed the service test with flying colors. On to ambiance... Okay as a place looking this nice, clean, fancy, and sleek, I was expecting 15$ entrés lol. The place is absolute beautiful. Darkly lit, great for a date! The booths each had a wall separation, meaning no eavesdropping and great privacy! I was comfortable talking to my friend about very personal and confidential matters because there was no one listening to us. The place has blue-lit water fountains with water lillies floating around, really pretty! The restrooms were spacious, clean, and smelled nice. The sinks were really cool, like Instagram worthy. Onto the fooooooood!! With just the Ambiance and service, this place was an automatic 3 stars. I have this stigmata that places with great ambiance will have okayish food. THIS FOOD BLEW MY MIND. I ordered yellowtail Nigiri sushi (which came out fast!). The sushi did not fall apart upon picking it up, which means fresh rice. The yellowtail part was surprisingly good and fresh for being miles away from any ocean. And the price was even more surprising! It was not over priced at all. It charged as much as a coastal restaurant in California would. Do you have any idea how hard it is to get fresh fish all the way to Dallas from the gulf?? Let alone to Cheyenne?? Wow. Just wow. It's not cheap, but not overly priced either. It tasted great and had a wonderful balance of flavor. I also ordered the wide rice noodle entré with pork, which is a traditional Chinese and Thai dish. In this instance however, it was more in the Chinese style. The serving size was HUGE. It probably weighed 3 pounds. The sauce was perfectly prepared and perfectly proportioned. I could tell they added a pinch or two of sugar in the sauce, which is the traditional Chinese way. There was a nice amount of meat mixed in, and it was easily chewable unlike other pork I've had in the past. The veggies were good, but I would have preferred more because I. Love. Vegetables. If you are not a veggie fan, you would love this dish! If you are veggie fan, ask to go easy on the meat and add more veggies! My friend ordered the chicken teriyaki, which was also HUGE. The chicken was seasoned and cooked perfectly, the sauce being a perfect balance. It came with veggie tempura, a LOT of it at that. It also comes with enough rice. The rice alone would have been enough to fill my friend. The tempura was gooooooood and the plate it was served on was genius. The dipping sauce came in a little porcelain pitcher. GENIUS. I will say that this is absolutely without a doubt the best chicken teriyaki I've ever had. EVER. I ordered a Thai tea for my friend abd I to share. It was definitely yummy and not overly sweet. I could really taste the full herb-ness of the tea, and the cream was a perfect balance. I've been to Thailand twice now and this places tea is the most similar to the tea I had in Thailand. We both left stuffed and we both left with leftover boxes. My friend that came with me NEVER eats even half of her dish, but she ate 3/4 of her gigantic plate and could not stop. She is a new immigrant from the Philippines so she knows good Asian food. She said this food was good Asian food. I will definitely come again to this wonderful place!! If you are kinda ehh about trying this place out, just try it, and order the chicken teriyaki. You'll get hooked.

We came in through the backdoor because of parking, and the waiter/host didn't greet us more than stare at us, which made us feel awkward. He sat us in what seemed to be the only booth that wasn't completely finished; it was missing paint and had screw holes in the walls. Otherwise, the whole restaurant was clean, but completely empty and the music they were playing was literally elevator music. The waiter had trouble understanding us and was painfully, cringefully shy. We ordered a veggie sushi roll (small for $7, but good), summer rolls (very bland), two orders of vegetable fried rice with tofu and no egg. Emphasis on the NO EGG part. Came out with egg. And the tofu, veggies and mushroom dish (the shiitake mushroom pieces were enormous, and I wasn't provided a knife to cut them with). On top of that, the waiter was confused when we asked for chili sauce, and said they only had chili oil and sriracha. What self-respecting Thai restaurant doesn't have chili sauce?! I want to rate one-and-a-half stars, points for cleanliness, but I'll round up to 2 since they know how to cook tofu.

Their space is epic. It was huge inside and very well decorated. I was thinking about going to do beef but then I remembered, oh wait this is Wyoming and you can get beef everywhere. So why not be completely different and get vegetable sushi and edamame? Makes sense right? Well it was charming and the service was INCREDIBLY fast. I barely put my menu down and already had my beer and edamame on the table. I ordered vegetable roll and it was one of the more interesting presentations I've seen. Defiantly worth a stop if you're in town and it's right off central so do stop in.

I ordered Sashimi (salmon and yellowtail). Salmon had a bone in it which I never ran into before...Yellowtail was a little frozen....So I had to let it thaw out for 10min by just let it sitting there. California roll was ok... Such a hit and miss place. I think I will stick with rolls next time.

Down Town Cheyenne, means parking stinks. Service was ok. Too many waiting staff approached the table. So we didn't get our full order. The rolls were on the small side. The Salmon Teriyaki was great. The tempri Vegs were awesome..... Tempri Jalapeño appetizer was total hit. This is a must have when going here...

Decided to try this sushi joint today. It was not a bad experience, but it was what I expected for sushi in Cheyenne, Wyoming. They have lunch special sushi rolls. 2 rolls for $10 or 2 rolls for $13. The options are limited and the rolls are basic. The tempura battered spicy tuna was my favorite. The unagi roll was ok at best. There was not much unagi in the roll, but what do you expect for a $6 roll. The pieces were pretty tiny and the rice wasn't tightly rolled. It almost looked comical, like a 5 yr old had rolled it. Seaweed salad appetizer was generous in size and pretty tasty. The ambiance was good. The place is very large and decorated like most sushi places. The wait staff was very attentive. I will be returning when I need a fix for an affordable sushi meal.

This place is great! Super delicious food, super big portions, and priced very good! We have been back numerous times and always pleased with the food, pleasant service, and calming atmosphere. It is a huge restaurant with a lot of space and privacy when eating. We were excited to find a nice restaurant we love in Cheyenne since most of the restaurants are below average!! We highly recommend this place! Great chicken curry! Peanut sauce is delicious! Lots to choose from!

  • Jacquie G.

Worst sushi I have had. Hardly any fish and taste bland. After coming from California where you can get good sushi I would rate this no stars but since I had to choose they get 1 for the decor. Maybe they should just stick to their Thai food because sushi here should not be allowed on the menu.

  • Jessica B.

Beautiful restaurant. The sushi though was mediocre to say the least. I travel from city to city weekly and live off of Asian food and know good sushi. The plated meal was on point and delicious but I would not suggest you go here looking for high quality sushi.

Really great. The booths are very private and although it was quite busy, it appeared quite and peaceful. The service was excellent. It's so nice to find such a great sushi place in Cheyenne, WY! Will definately be back.

The spicy tuna was delicious. The atmosphere was cool. I got beef teriyaki. It was a large portion and tasted really good. The orange chicken was really good too and again it was a large portion. The waiter asked if everything was good he was kind and attentive. I will definitely be going back.

Great vegetarian selection Panang curry with veggies and tofu!!! Double rice = yummy Update: The Thai menu is basically gone... You can still get pad thai... But my beloved curries are gone... And now it is more difficult for vegans. Staff is not really wise on ingredients of the menu items- you might end up with fish sauce or eggs in your rice... I hope they bring back the Thai menu... It was such a sad day to show up and everything changed.

  • Kandi A.

I was really hoping this place would be amazing. I can't speak for the sushi but the thai food was sub-par. I ordered a chicken dish and the fresh rolls. The chicken dish tasted like it had too much fish sauce in it and I couldn't even eat it. But- the fresh rolls were really good and had a great peanut dip. I'll give this place another shot in the future and hope for a better second experience.

I would have never expected to find such an amazing Thai restaurant in Cheyenne Wyoming but it was by far one of the best Thai restaurants I have had in the country. The prices were amazingly low for how much food is served. The serving sizes were huge! And the food was extremely flavorful. The massaman curry is packed with flavor. I had the tofu/veggies and a friend had chicken. Both were awesome and the pad Thai was had by another friend and they were very impressed. I would definitely stop here again next time I am in the area. Best restaurant in town.

Today was my first and so far only visit but I will return! Food was prepared beautifully and the taste was just as fantastic. Also very quick, I wasn't left sitting forever. The atmosphere is very quiet and aesthetically pleasing so the small amount of time I did wait was enjoyable.

I ordered their sushi for lunch, 2rolls for only $10. Quite good quality, and the price is the cheapest I've seen in a landlocked state. Very friendly staff. Atmosphere is very relaxing and inviting, with very nice decorations.

So the food itself wasn't awful. The rolls weren't very neat. It didn't look like the chefs took a lot of pride in their work. The service was terrible. Some of our roles arrived... Then the appetizers... Then more roles. The server paid little attention to us except to slam our water glasses down in front of us when refilling them. Probably won't be eating here again.

We went in about 11:30 asked to be seated. She said some one will be with you. 10 minutes... no one. Mind you, she was busy with preparing food but she did not call for some help. She saw that I am elderly Asian but I guess bad manners is ra, pant these days. No, I do not recommend a resturant with bad manners and service in Cheyenne Wyoming

    (1)
  • Asna A.

Food was pretty good. I didn't think it was spicy enough so I think I'll get them to cook it with chili oil. The service was kind of bad. I went at a weird time (4 pm) so we were the only ones there and I had to make eye contact with the waiter whenever I wanted anything. He never came by to ask if we needed anything and didn't even refill our waters until I made eye contact about it. The restaurant is an attempt to look nice but there are some things about it that are really janky (like taped up light fixtures).

Hubby and I wanted to find a legit sushi spot in Cheyenne, WY. I know, seems impossible. Well Re-O-Na sushi is probably the best sushi in the entire state. The ambience and decor is creative and done in an elegant Asian decor. The menu is extensive and the prices reasonable. We ordered the sashimi sampler, 12 pieces and they were well proportioned and all great. Especially the yummy mackerel. We also decided to order the cheese wontons, nothing special but worth the 5 dollars. I would skip the dragon roll. It takes 20 extra minutes and was definitely not worth it. for 14 dollars it did not contain anything special and was sub par. We ate maybe half. For dessert we had red bean and mango mochi. Pretty typical for any asian restaurant and nothing spectacular. I believe you get 3 for $5. Stick with the sashimi and you won't be disappointed. This is probably the most legit sushi spot in the state ;)

Great room and decent food... Wish they specialized more instead of drinking the pan Asian kool-aid. This is a great place to entertain as the bar is big and cool and they have lots of space. If I had a complaint it would be a lack of variety in the sushi - the same standards you see everywhere away from the ocean. But I can't really fault them for stocking the items that travel well...what are you going to do in Cheyenne Wyoming?

Good food and good service. You get a lot for your money. The portion sizes are large for the price.

Its CHEYENNE for goodness sake...Thai and sushi Resturants have a frequent must have list... Its like you walk in with impending judgement. If its a hole in the wall your a skeptic, but you eat the food and it blows your mind. Well there is no judgement with this place. The atmosphere is diligent and serene. I love being in a place to try something new. First of all i asked the waitress to order my appitizer and she brought me the Sashimi sampler. You have to love raw fish for this one... OH I DO! Prefect! You have to know your sushi and fish to eat it and i do and i know! :) I went with the reviews on my dinner plate and that was the Masaman curry Chicken Plate... Can i say EXCEEDINGLY PLEASING! This succulent dish needs no filter.. its brilliant. I went back to my waitress for my dessert and she brought me Mochi IceCream... Honestly this will have to be a "to each their own dish" HOWEVER, I thouroughly enjoyed it. I grew up eating Mochi candi and i loved the combo on my sherbert like flavored icecream. Ask for RYAN (server) and tell him Nina sent you.. They are a really friendly staff and pretty chill... Just talk to them youll find life stories!

While those from LA or other metros on the coast might find the sushi/sashimi choices more limited, the sushi served is fresh, the display quintisential, and the atmosphere quiet and friendly. You can actually have a conversation at the sushi bar imagine that! The owner is also the sushi chef and she is friendly and unlike many sushi bars she speaks perfect English. This is helpful when you fumble for japanese words like uni, wasabi, toro and the like. While many do not like some of the delicacies like uni with quail eggs, sweet shrip with deep fried heads etc. coming from LA and living in Cheyenne I find this place a blessing for the pallet. Try it you will like it. No rocky mountain oysters, just the real thing!

I have been a few times and it really is hit or miss. I have had the pad thai with tofu and it has been excellent for the most part. Although, they did put chicken on it last time instead of tofu and then the waiter wanted to argue about it. My wife gets sushi almost always and while rather pricey, it is decent considering this is Cheyenne. Pretty hard to get fresh seafood I would imagine. Overall, I would recommend it, but keep in mind that it can be great one time and so-so the next. One thing that detracts is the service. Some of the wait staff really seem to have their stuff together when others just are there for other reasons. The wait staff is friendly, I'll give them that, but not really up to the task of waiting tables. My food almost always arrives a good 10 minutes before my wife gets hers. We have had some rather odd conversations with our waiter before. Completely unsolicited and graphic detail about childbirth when he saw my wife was pregnant. With that said, overall, the service has been okay. Just okay, not great.

The place is so quaint and romantic! The customer service was superb! I had a sushi roll called cowboy roll, and it had grilled flank steak on top of a California roll. My hubby had a curry dish called masaman curry it was so flavorful! It had fresh avocado and cashews. There is a very sweet waitress named Phong Phong! $9 lunch curry and $13 for my sushi roll. Not to bad.

  • Remley G.

Not the best sushi I've had, but not bad by any stretch. Especially tasty and good quality considering that it's the least expensive sushi place I've been. The rainbow and the dragon rolls were my particular favorites out of what we ordered. You can get most sashimi plates for under $8 and some really good rolls for under $9 although the "premium" rolls (caterpillar, dragon, cowboy...etc.) were more like $12-$15. Great prices considering I'm used to paying ~$25 for the same rolls and ~$12 for sashimi. We didn't have any of the Thai food this time around, so I can't say anything about it. I do look forward to trying it soon, though. We ordered Thai iced teas that were good. It's a huge place but laid out in such a way that it doesn't get too noisy so you can enjoy a conversation. We had our order confused toward the end of the dinner, but our waiter was nice and offered some edamame and more thai tea on the house to make up for it. All-in-all, it was a nice experience. We'll certainly be back.

By far the most satisfying sushi bar I've had since I was last in Casper Wyoming at the House of Sushi!! Well no wonder, Reona is the sister of the owner of the House of Sushi in Casper. Wonderful food, wonderful staff. Be sure to ask for the sushi specials that are NOT on the menu as they have them daily! It's a bit pricey but worth every cent!!

    (5)
  • Tom G.

Top notch sushi. I have had sushi in San Francisco, Las Vegas, and at the related sushi spot in Casper. This rates up there with the best. The servers are always close at hand and almost too attentive. The moment your cup gets even partially empty there are two people there trying to refill it. If something goes wrong, anything at all. The staff will work to fix it immediately. So beautiful inside.

Gonna give this place two stars instead of one because the appetizers of egg rolls and summer rolls were pretty damn good. BUT, the sushi rolls all taste bland and have the exact same mash in the middle. They basically take the same roll and add some fish (or beef in the case of the Cowboy roll) to the top. It is the same mash of ingredients that you get when you buy cheap sushi rolls at the grocery store. We have tried this place twice, and both times the rolls were not very good. The appetizers have been good and the staff are attentive, but this is not enough to call the place "good" by any stretch of the imagination. 22 oz. Sapporo beers over-priced and warm. We had two appetizers, a small sashimi, three rolls, and 2 Sapporo beers. Just about $90; luckily we had a $25 Restaurant.com gift certificate or I would have been very, very depressed about flushing money down the drain. We couldn't finish the rolls and took them to go, but as we walked the three blocks home, I tossed them out to the birds; I just wanted the blandness to go away. I realize that Cheyenne is far from a foodie's dream, but this was a complete miss in the culinary universe.

Absolutely Horrible! Where to begin? Service: None of the servers could keep track of which table ordered which items. So they were constantly coming by with food for other tables and trying to serve it. Case in point: of our three at lunch today, our meals were served 5 and 10 minutes apart, instead of together. But the worst part was our third platter was observed being served to another table, that started to eat it. Upon realizing that the food wasn't what they ordered, the patron told the waiter who promptly removed it from that table and delivered it to our table. I mean delivered in the real sense of the word ... he was already on his heels and walking away by the time the platter actually landed on the table. My companion could not get a response from that waiter to advise him that he didn't want twice served food. It took some time before we got another waiter who refused to understand our concern, and then the manager came by. He cheerfully took the platter and advised that a fresh replacement would be coming out soon. 20 minutes later, when the other two of us had been picking slowly at our food, the new platter arrived. Food: I've been eating sushi and sashimi for 50 years, and all of us at the table enjoy every Asian cusine. Two of the fellows are big eaters. One ordered a chicken curry .... which came as a scant portion of a very bland sauced chicken chunks and a side dish of rice. He picked at it, but didn't eat half of the dish. It was totally uninteresting. I ordered the sushi lunch roll special ... two rolls for $9.95 ... octopus and salmon. Both rolls were about 3/4" in diameter, with 6 slices about 1/2" thick; filled with totally bland small (1/4" diameter) seafood and a piece of 1/4" x 1/4" cucumber and a rice-like substance. Anybody who knows sushi would recognize the opportunity to have filled out a nice roll with other vegetables, seasoning/sauce, and a reasonable portion of the seafood to being with. The worst part was the sushi rice. Rather than being seasoned with sweet vinegar, it was totally bland, and did not hold together. It was crumbly. But the worst part was that is was mealy with crunchy rice parts in it ... either very old and stale, or overcooked and dried out. Either way, a travesty of the sushi chef's art in food quality and presentation. Portion wise, this restaurant serves a luncheon special sized somewhat smaller than an appetizer at any other sushi restaurant I've ever been to. Rip-off comes to mind, but the twice served platter was the real travesty of this place; if my dining companion hadn't see the path his plate took to our table, he'd have been eating that food. Don't waste your time or money on this place. It's horrible by any standard of a restaurant operation, despite the newly redecorated interior.

I've been to Re-O-Na three times. One for lunch and had sashimi and Pearl Saki, at the sushi bar. It was wonderful. Then two dinners, and both times Thai. They did a wonderful presentation on the curry dishes. The ambience was great, as both of those times were in the private booths, so romantic....

Worst sushi I have had. Hardly any fish and taste bland. After coming from California where you can get good sushi I would rate this no stars but since I had to choose they get 1 for the decor. Maybe they should just stick to their Thai food because sushi here should not be allowed on the menu.

Thanks!

Don't serve Thai food due low demand. Still serves full appetizer and Japanese menu. I'll give a 4 star for restaurant environment, service and food.
