Walked in and the atmosphere just felt dated and smelled funny. The service was great, everyone who worked there was super attentive, but the food was subpar. We ordered the appetizer combo and what they claimed was "beef maki" was actually fried beef. The prime rib was ok, but the horseradish cream sauce was kind of weak. For the service and the amount of food you get I'd say it's worth it, but not the best restaurant in town.

Boyfriend and I came here for dinner with boyfriends grandparents (their suggestion). We ordered some wine and that was delicious. I ordered pork medallions and it was cooked very well. My only criticism is that it could use a little salt. Boyfriend got new york strip steak which was ok. It needed a bit more seasoning. The potato casserole side was delicious and the rolls that come with the meal were really great too. We got an orange cake for dessert at the suggestion of grandma and man oh man am I glad she did. It was soo good. Moist, not too sweet, great flavor. Just really good and a big piece. Also the people that work there are just lovely and nice people. I would come back.

Wow! I was not expecting perfection after reading some of the other reviews. What an awesome surprise! I was seated immediately. Nice quiet intimate atmosphere but comfortable in jeans and t-shirt. I ordered (not usually) Escargot, French Onion Soup, and Prime Rib. And it came with a salad. Everything was perfect and soooo good! The Escargot did not come in shells but a dish covered in a flaky buttery crust and was without a doubt the best ever. I did not care especially for the French onion soup as it was a little to sweet and did not have enough gruyere cheese for me. They have excellent ranch dressing too. The Prime Rib was top notch. I would definitely return. Lobster or king crab next time!

Here I am in Casper, Wyoming! Being I arrived today. 4/4/15 my friends Shirley & Bob picked me up from the Airport and then went back to their house to freshin up. They had made dinner reservations for the three of us for 6:30pm. It was fairly crowded when we arrived. I felt a little out of place, don't ask me why. Couldn't put my finger on it. We had a cocktail before dinner (I had a beer) and bread & butter was served immediately. We ordered Apps and this is when it got real interesting. One of our Apps was called Tied Bacon Knots, it's thick Bacon, tied in a knot, sprinkled with brown sugar & roasted to crunchy. It was DELICIOUS! I couldn't get enough of those crazy knots! Then our second App was Fried Green Tomatoes. Literally. I didn't care for them at all but my friends devoured them. For my main I had a dish called Chicken Duxelle, it was with white wine sauce & mushrooms served over rice. It was very, very good! They served huge portions. My friends both ordered NY Steak dinners with potatoes au gratin. They loved their meals. I passed on the house salad that came with my dinner, I had too many bacon knots. Lol. For dessert, Shirley & I shared a Chocolate Lava Cake w/vanilla ice cream. That almost put me in a food coma. Great service, even though it was crowded it wasn't really loud (like I'm used to). Our waiter seemed puzzled when my friends told him I was visiting from San Francisco. He commented to me 'Why would you live there" my response, I LOVE SAN FRANCISCO!!!! Think I'm going to sleep now. It's an hour later back here....maybe I'll dream about those bacon knots.....

Came here for the first time last summer on a date! I've been sold ever since. One of the only places I can take a client or family member to and not be embarrassed by the service or quality of food. Been here several times in the past year when I am in town and have had a great experience every time. Prime rib is the way to go, or one of their steaks. Had a pretty mean old fashioned as well last time. Props to the bartender.

I've been coming here for years and years and I'm hardly ever disappointed. If I have a bad meal, I attribute it to a busy night or an off night in the kitchen, but like I said - I'm hardly ever disappointed. The food is delicious and the service is phenomenal. The lemon cake is the best dessert I've ever had as well! Highly recommend this place.

Food OK. Good portions and not overwhelming. Bacon Knots the best. Thick bacon tied in a knot, sprinkled in brown sugar and roasted to crunchy.

The service was great, good food, good atmosphere and it made for a very pleasant evening of catching up with friends.

For Casper, Wyoming, this place is pretty solid. Good steaks (had ribeye on one occasion, prime rib on another --- both good). Doesn't have the oil money / oil rig atmosphere that firerock has across town. Come here to get a decent meal.

Talk about a Valentine's Day massacre. My gf and I made reservations ahead of time knowing this place would be busy. We had high expectations considering the prices of everything here. We were wrong. Trying to be a "high" class place comes along with a few expectations first of all. The staff needs some training on how to serve an expensive meal and how to treat customers. The soup was terrible, had to send my steak back because of it not being cooked right, and the daiquiri was absolutely bland. When I received my second steak it didn't look too bad on the outside, but tasted terrible. I ordered a sirloin that was so chewy it was like gum. To sum everything up, if you want Applebee's quality for triple the price this is your place. Needs updating, better food, and an over haul. Save your time and money and try somewhere else.

I want to like this place, more than I do, but... I mean... It's a dinosaur menu, and the food is really inconsistent. Sometimes it's great, while others it's really bad. The service is consistently mediocre, and the atmosphere is just... Dark and Dreary. That being said, this is probably the closest thing to a fine dining restaurant Casper has.

Didn't have one of the steaks, so I can't comment on their signature offerings, but I enjoyed their chicken breast sandwich and loved the atmosphere. Great place for a classy dinner. A bit expensive, but worth it.

4 stars for the food Had the prime rib, which was very good. And for once the Au-ju wasn't a salty mess. Tasted like it was real and not from powder. The vegetables and potato were okay, the vegetables were NOT overcooked, thankfully, but they were a bit bland. My wife had the pork medallions and loved just about everything about it (the pork was not overcooked). 3 stars for the decor 1990 anyone? The decor is very dated, but it is in very good shape, clean and not unappealing. The main dining area has booths and is very claustrophobic. During our dinner we never saw other guests. I would prefer to get a full dining experience and get the general hum of a dining room. However, this is personal taste and you may give them more stars for it. I'm conflicted about the service. Because of the blocked off site lines I understand that they have to literally come to your table to see if you need anything, but they came over a bit too much. The staff wasn't hovering, but we saw more of them than I would like. But, they were very professional and courteous when they were there. 2 stars for price Overpriced a bit. Not badly though since dinner does come with a ton of extras. You get a salad or soup with dinner. We'll probably go back when I want prime though, the prime was not the most expensive thing on the menu and was pretty decently priced.

This is my go-to restaurant in Casper. They know how to mix a drink (Old Fashioned, please). The menu is broad and they honor special requests. Blackened burger is my usual order. My husband likes the prime rib sandwich and the steak sandwich. Service is friendly and consistent. Prefer to sit in the Lounge, though the booths are great because they offer a quiet place to eat.

I've had a lot of excellent dinners here, but the black-and-bleu burger I had a couple of weeks ago may be the best burger I've ever had, and I'm not exaggerating. It was stunning. Perfection. They have great steaks, homemade pot pie and desserts, but you really have to try that burger. I don't give out five stars easily, but I can't remember being as satisfied by one item.

I had hopes for this place. Here is a taste of my first (and the only visit) to The Silver Fox. This place took 5 minutes to greet me and my guest at the door. We were both appropriately dressed. At lunch. When hardly anyone was there. Then it took us 5 more minutes to get seated. 5 more to take a drink order. 5 more to get our drinks to our table. We ordered a chicken philly steak and a cobb salad (no eggs). 25 minutes more waiting. They brought us a Beef Philly Cheese steak and a Cobb salad. The salad had a few pieces of eggs in it and was starting to wilt. I thought stuff was supposed to be made to order here? I am pretty certain they just picked the eggs out of a pre-made salad. They also took forever to bring us the correct Cheese Steak sandwich after we corrected them. The correct one wasn't any better. Both had very dry and rough meat. Very little seasoning: bland. The french fries that came with it were obviously previously frozen. Reminiscent of high school cafeteria french fries. They also didn't give you very many... (WTF you can't lose money on potatoes ...why so stingy?) All in all, horrible service and attention to detail. Food was disappointing. Get your act together! You're supposed to be fine dining! To sum it up: Pretentious atmosphere, bad service and sub par food. Way too pricey for what you actually get. Save yourself some time: for a fine dining experience just go to Gegis, Lai Thai or even Botticelli's.

Probably Casper's best top end restaurant. Nice quiet dining room, intimate settings. Starter salad is enough to blow away most people. Nothing straight out of a bag here. You'll find everything from cucumbers to tomatoes (ordinary enough I suppose) but then it takes off into a realm of pineapple, oranges, black olives etc. Freshly baked rolls to accompany the salad. Dinner menu is limited but everything they do is done right. Blackened Prime is always a favorite and there is usually a special fish dish. Consistently good, no surprises, great place to take guests and clients. Excellent wine list. Superb service. Many of their staff has been there for years and years. We've dined there many many times and are always happy.

My husband and I went here for date night and we were greeted by about 40+ teenagers in full dance attire. Aside from the horrific sight, the service was prompt and quality. Forgo the Escargot. Both the salad and bread were delicious and freshly made. I had the Ribeye (MR), my husband the New York (M)...both were cooked as ordered. We'll be back, but next time we'll check ahead to avoid the giggling girls and hormone ravaged boys.

Recommended by the client when we wanted to invite them out to dinner. Not a lot of vegetarian choices, but the meateaters in the party were happy, and the vegetables were beautifully done. The potato casserole (shredded potatoes, sour cream, cheese) sounded good but was very bland. Best fried green tomatoes I've ever eaten. I ordered a half-piece of the Mud Cake, a tasty frozen confection that arrived covered with frosting and whipped cream, big enough for two (not sure how big the full size piece must be!)
