This was the second time my wife and I ate here. The first time we were not impressed with their presentation of Thai food. We both love Thai curries, desserts and the range of spiciness. The restaurant should probably take out the Thai and just stick with sushi. We are accustomed to red or yellow curry. Here they have curry. Normally, Thai restaurants rate their spiciness on a scale 1 to 5 or 1 to 10. The higher number being very spicy. There is no rating system here. It is either non spicy or spicy. The second time we ate here, I was giving it a second chance. This time I asked for medium spicy and got very spicy. Other than that, the food was bland. What ticked us off was that as we finished the final morsel, we were presented with the bill. After paying, we were asked to leave so that they could turn the table. I would believe that after spending more than $60 bucks between the four of us, that we could have enjoyed sitting and talking to our friends. My friend pulled his tip. We will not be returning.

Great addition to the local fare, chicken curry is good, sushi is fresh even for the location. .....been here several times and will continue, friendly staff ad well!

The food was good though it probably could have been hotter. We're definitely willing to give them a second shot. Beware, my fellow onion haters. I ordered something that didn't list them and I got a plateful. Come to think of it, I didn't actually get what I ordered. I asked for chicken Pad Thai, which was described as noodles with bean sprouts and egg, but I received chicken something with noodles, a mass of onions, and one slice of green pepper with a slice of lime. (upon further thought, I may have mistaked some of the bean sprouts for onions, though there were definitely still onions in the dish). There were crushed peanuts on top, so that's accurate. I honestly didn't even notice until right now. I still ate it and enjoyed it, regardless. My girlfriend got the Alaska roll and hibachi chicken. We both enjoyed our meals. They gave us complimentary soup when seated, too. The problem was with the service. We sat down and the person I assume is the manager or owner (or both) took our drink orders, brought them back, gave us menus, and said someone will be right with us. About ten minutes later and being asked by the same gentleman twice, someone came to take or order. We waited a reasonable amount of time for it to arrive and then only my order came. Roughly six minutes later, her roll shows up. We start to eat and she finished her roll before her hibachi came. We were starting to wonder if it was even coming at all. It did arrive but still took a good bit of time. They also had a host that was literally running through the tiny place whenever he needed to get something while almost every table was full. I also saw him nearly run into a girl while she was carrying two drinks. They seemed to only have one server working though the manager and host were still helping to deliver food. If they can get all of that sorted out, they should do just fine around here.

First experience was just okay. The starter soup was tasty, drinks remained full, and the service was prompt and courteous. Sadly, the chicken was dry and the rice lacked any real flavor interest. Overall the experience was just average. The tab with tip was $12.

Nice place food was good service was good drinks were cold. What more could you want

I'd give no stars if I could. I got the pineapple chicken fried rice. The rice wasn't fried. There were 0 vegetables. The chicken was some sort of weird steamed thing. This area desperately lacks a great take out.

We were leaving North Carolina and heading back home to Lakewood Ohio and we needed to have dinner before it was too late. I found this place because they were one of the opened restaurants on a Sunday evening which is nice for travelers like myself. My fiance ordered yum yum sushi roll because it was not too heavy. I ordered the chicken pad Thai which is my all time favorite to eat and cook. We loved it all. The flavors were spot on my noodles and every noodle was coated with deliciousness. They were very good at seating, service, and cleanliness. Wish I could say we would be returning if we lived closer.

I've eaten here many times with my girl friend and it's always a great experience. The only thing better than the food is the service. I went today for lunch and saw a waiter make an animal ballon for a crying toddler. I can't make that up and any hibachi steak, chicken, and shrimp fried rice combo is always great. And the sauce for the Tokyo wings will have you licking the plate. It's surprising how empty the restaurant is every time we go. Tokyo is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Parkersburg. I'm usually not the type to go out of my way and review something, but this place is worth it.

A welcome addition to Parkersburg-Vienna. Tokyo is the same family who operates Shogun in Marietta, and this place has lived up to the same great food. They've been open a short time, so expect just an occasional hiccup with service. Yesterday, one of us received our noodle dish about 15 minutes before the other. However, the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, and they check in frequently. Items to try: Drunken Noodles (don't hesitate to ask for them extra spicy), Pad Thai, Udon Curry, Spring Roll and Gyoza appetizers, any of the sushi creations. The Hibachi items are outstanding, as well.

So far, I have eaten here twice and it's been great both times. The first time, I got the chicken drunken noodles and the Tokyo roll for take out. Both were fantastic. The second time, I ate in and got the chicken Pad Thai and a shrimp tempura roll. They served a nice house miso soup for free. Not sure if that's a regular thing, but it was tasty. They mixed up my order and ended up comping me a California roll, which I didn't even ask for. Very good service, very tasty food, and a nice atmosphere. I'll be sure to go back. Oh, they're owned by the folks that own Shogun in Marietta, so, if you like them, you're sure to dig Tokyo.

We shared a Philadelphia, Alaskan, Volcano and 2 Marietta rolls (ordered a second it was so good). All four were great. The free bowl of soup we were served when seated was also pretty good. Staff was friendly and service wasn't bad. Only issue was the cold temperature of the room.

Food was really good as well as service. Hubby and I had hibachi chicken and steak. We were both very pleased. My only complaint was the ginger dressing on the green salad. The texture was awful...flavor was there, but it was very, very grainy. Other than that, A+

Service was pretty much terrible. Had to wait for 15 minutes and half the place was empty. The food all came out at different times. We had to remind the waiter to bring my daughters food after out food had been in the table for 10 minutes at least. Just seemed disorganized. I had sushi and it was really good, wife had the curry and it was good as well. Will definitely give them a second chance to improve the service.
