The service was really slow, and it looked like no one knew what they were doing. They were resting items directly on the food, stacking plates on the food, swapping food from plate to plate with their bare hands (that I never saw them wash in my 20 min in line), the sever carrying around extra silver wear in her back pocket, and the kitchen staff coming out to get stuff off the tables to use it for cooking. These are just the things I noticed while I was there. I will never go back and discourage anyone else in the area to avoid it as well.

Love this place - we have been coming here for years. Burgers are yummy and the Sterling is my new favorite sandwich. I always enjoy reading the signs on the wall. Don't miss the porch out back with the river running by it.

Hidden gem indeed. Cheaper, better, friendlier, tastier than at the Inn or for that matter, anywhere on the mountaintop. Unlike the Saver's Center, the food is cooked fresh for the customer, instead of reheated egg patties and re-cooked bacon for a sandwich. Their chocolates are awesome. It's worth the 6-mile drive from the mountaintop....

We also found this place across from the inn during our stay at snowshoe. The food's cheaper than eating up on the mountain, however our quality was lacking (chicken strips). The store is fantastic, we got a couple souvenirs for much cheaper than the snowshoe stores. Overall a good stop, but if you want better food, try the BBQ shack between this place and the gas station down the street.

This little eatery is a hidden gem in the strip across the street from the Inn at Snowshoe pretty much at the entrance of Snoeshoe. On one side, they have a whole store of stuff ranging from ski/winter gear to bumper stickers and books. Once we found the side to order our food, i was a bit skeptical, but after receiving the food it was delicious. Both the bbq pork and the Route 66 sub were delicious. The breadsticks we ordered were so-so, but the rest was really good. Plus, you can buy your cold beer right there and enjoy it with your meal. Too bad you may not have service on your phone (at least ATT), so you might not be able to Yelp it before enjoying, but if this place were in my hometown, i would probably be a regular. They do deliver to the Inn across the street if you want to avoid falling on the steps of the hotel like some unlucky lady in my party.

Outstanding! That's really all i have to say about that. Awesome omelette's and subs at a real good price and there is some wifi in that area which is pretty limited around those parts.
