Was a little leery but my husband loves Buffet's, myself not so much. To my surprise I found some great food. My pork chop and hashbrown casserole was delicious. My husband said the steak, baked ham and baked fish was excellent. Definite southern comfort food. Priced right.

Food was awful.Chicken could have passed for rubber. Fried steak was most likely bat meat. Nasty bathroom. Enough food between the cracks of the booth to feed a family. Do not go here. I wish there could be a lower rating than one star.

Intro: Heading back to Atlanta from Snowshoe Mtn, the majority decided for Ryans since it would be more time efficient. Especially in the case of handling the bill. Service: Our "server" was pretty attentive with providing drink orders, rolls, and clearing our piles of plates, for one person and party of about 20. I'm not sure how much Ryan's pays them, since now the plates are already provided at the buffet stations. I can see how most would deem that 15% doesn't equate to the service they're providing. But I hope majority would, just to be fair. Food: Slightly disappointing. Granted it was a buffet. The grill "chef" doesn't seem to know what he's doing with the steaks. A lot of our party received steaks that were no where near what of how they requested it to be cooked. It's been quite some time since I've been in a Ryan's and I guess this is why. The heat lamp for the roast beef needs to be turned down some, it was way to dry and I don't think drowning it in brown gravy was going to help revive the lost flavors. Most of the table that did try it, agreed that the fried chicken was probably the best dish there. Overall: Typical buffet food. Though my last times at Golden Corral, the food did seem to have a bit more taste to it. Come here if your party of 10+ can't make up their minds on what to eat, but if not I would pass.

A Bountiful Buffet of Messiness I've been to this restaurant many times. NOT because I've wanted to go, but due to someone inviting me and paying for the meal. The salad bar is large, but things are cut weirdly so they don't make sense for a salad. The lettuce is always limp and looks old. The food always seems WAY overcooked it's just a mess. I know that it's a buffet, but the staff could stay a little better on top of what's going on and clean up after the messy people. Their only redeeming quality is their dessert bar. They have delicious sweet treats. I believe they are baked on site, but I'm not sure they are prepared on site. My kids LOVE the ice cream machines and available toppings. Given a choice between here and skipping a meal, I'd probably skip a meal.

Honestly, the best word I can use to describe this place is eerie. My friends and I decided to stop here during a roadtrip from Florida to Pennsylvania. When we entered, the place was very quiet. We got the buffet ($14 for two people was definitely cheap) and got our food. The food was mediocre at best. The fish was hard and lumpy (lumpy fish? what?) and the pasta sauce was coated with a thick layer or hardened tomato skin. It wasn't very appetizing. The taste was okay. At least the salad bar seemed normal enough. The clientele was definitely interesting, too. After bumping into a woman and saying, "Excuse me," she replied with, "You're not from these parts." It was very... spine chilling. It was definitely an experience.

This is definitely one of the better all you can eat buffets around. However... it does definitely bring some rather unsightly people out of the woodwork. You definitely need a strong stomach, if you're gonna eat here.

This Ryan's restaurant was better than I expected. It was clean, the hot was food was hot and cold food was cold. The staff were super nice! We loved our waitress Annia I believe is how it was spelled? Nice clean group's of people dining there. Restrooms were clean, food bar was fully stocked at all times. The price for lunch was great also; 3 adults for less than $20! If we travel through this area again we will be back!

My husband and I ate supper here on Oct. 17, 2010. The price was reasonable $21.00 (I believe) for 2 people. The empty tables were full of dirty dishes, we luckily found one booth clean. There was NO, clean silverware,,NONE,,the kid working told us "Its getting sorted and racked right now, once its washed we will bring it out" WHAT!! We could not believe it. What am I supposed to do with this food, eat it with my fingers?? My husband told the manager about the silverware problem, she apparently went in the back, washed (I hope) us a set and brought it out. The food was barely OK tasting. The steak was precooked and setting in the back, when we wanted one the girl had to go back and bring one out. The fish was YUCK! It seemed to be just coated in plain bread crumbs, spaghetti sauce had been setting for quite a while it had that lovely "skin" on top, the list could go on and on. The brownies were HARD, the coconut cream pie was still frozen. The rolls, chicken, corn & green beans were good, but that's about all. We will NOT eat here ever again.
