Good food, but poor service and poorly trained staff. Too long to get food and the staff is not knowledgable about the items. Our waitress was blaming our poor service on only once person working the kitchen....there were only to tables occupied and one was ours.

We were there last night! Entertainment was good and food was awesome. I ordered deep fried pepperoni rolls . I was amazed at how good they were chickens were delicious also . My husband got sirloin steak dinner and he said it was delicious! My daughter had club sandwich she said it was the best she ever had! Service was fast and friendly would definitely go there again and we are!

We all love Owen Schmitt because I think he played football. This restaurant is further proof that football players should stick to what they know. Football players should not open restaurants. The quality of food and service is bound to suffer. The wings at Shmitts are baked, fried and grilled. This process more or less destroys the wings. And don't ask for extra sauce. They'll charge you extra and then somehow forget that you ordered it in the first place. Schmitts might be good for live music but the food is laughable. Retired sports players should stay retired and NOT open restaurants. It's not a good look.

This place is great. Excellent service and food. Did I mention this is the best place in wv to catch a concert?..??

Had high hopes for this since I've been a big fan of Owen throughout the years. As a music joint to see live bands in the evening they do a pretty good job. As an eatery they need a lot of work to make me want to go back. Their menu has potential but its just not executed that well. I agree with the previous review about the jalapeno appetizer, the bacon was way undercooked. For an appetizer like this you want crispy flavorful bacon, not limp fatty greasy bacon. I also tried the beer truck burger. It was not that great. It had a really burnt acrid taste and a dry bun. Music good, food not so good.

Won't be ordering again! Wings were bland and expensive. Hot dog fell apart and lacked flavor! Nothing great here.

This place has a bit of an identity crisis problem. On the one hand, it's obviously a cool sports bar to come to with all the tv's, memorabilia, beer specials, and my beer truck burger was pretty tasty, but on the other hand, the music was blaring at 6:30pm. I get it, you want a lively atmosphere to help draw the younger crowd (although, I'm only 30), but I really don't want to have to shout to interact with my friends sitting right next to me over dinner/drinks. I know it's a "music hall", but it's also trying to be a sports bar... You can be both, but both at the same time was awkward and annoying. It would be much better if they waited to blast music until a little later. All of my party enjoyed their food, and the drink specials were good too, but before going back, I'd have to remind myself what I was walking into, and be prepared. I'm sure plenty of folks enjoy this place, and it might be right up their alley, which is fine, but it just wasn't for me, or the others in my party.

Had the jalapeño appetizer. Which was wrapped in almost raw bacon, and the cheese inside was still cold. Good idea, but VERY poor execution. Won't make this same mistake again.
